100% recommendation for this branch. Everything was just right and there was complete satisfaction. Many thanks to all employees (male/female) for the great time here.

I picked up the food I ordered online before the agreed pickup time - so it was freshly prepared. Ten minutes later I was home and ate the food. The main course (fillet medallions with vegetables) was lukewarm and of a quality that was below fast food. The dessert (Hot Chocolate Lava Cake) was also lukewarm and disappointing in quality. The packaging was neither environmentally friendly nor suitable for maintaining the temperature of the food. Overall I would rate the food 4/10. However, the customer service deserves 10/10 points: the management apologized and offered me a voucher, which I really appreciated.

I was there twice in a row with my family within a short space of time. We have always enjoyed going to the Block House for decades, unfortunately I had to deduct 2 stars for the food because it wasn't bad but unfortunately it was fried to death, but what really made our evening perfect was our waiter "SAMI" who was simply world class 🫶🏼 you could have We could also have served us a slice of bread and with this waiter it would still have been a perfect evening. Very accommodating and pleasantly not intrusive, very relaxed, not so stiff, you feel very welcome as a guest 🙏🏻 I would like to thank “SAMI” again for this (repeated) great evening 👍🏻 little tip: you should make a reservation then with a note that you would like to see Sami 😉 I am already looking forward to the next visit ❤️ P.s. : Thank you SAMI for the delicious garlic bread to take home, that was a delicious midnight snack 🤩

Spent a few great hours there, with good food and first-class service. In particular, “our” lady in service, Bettina, took excellent care of our well-being. Very personable and accommodating, you can tell she likes her job! The whole team is worth mentioning, it's fun to eat here. We'll be back, maybe on my "real" birthday 😉.

The salmon dish could have been warmer. Does Block have no fish cutlery? The portions are also very manageable for the price.

Usually very tasty, good steaks. But on the Saturday before Christmas it was too crowded, very noisy and the food wasn't as good as usual. But the staff were still in a good mood and friendly.

This was our first time in the Block House. The food was delicious. We were there with our grandson. He was given something to paint. That was really nice. We have determined for ourselves. Always happy.

The food was of the usual, quite good block house quality. A beer glass was damaged and its contents were replaced without any problems. There was a note on the table explaining that Block House did not want to take part in the currently rampant price increases. You wouldn't increase the prices, just reduce the portions. So hidden price increase with announcement, oh well. And the turkey schnitzel was really puny (hence the rating).

Everything we ordered was delicious. Small downside, the bread was a bit soft and would have needed a little longer to get crispier.

I've never experienced very bad service like I've experienced in this Block House, but I can't find it there

Not the best photo but love everything about this place. I live abroad now but every time I am back in Hamburg I must eat the homey daily dishes I miss so much. Hühnerfrikassee was excellent. Waiters were friendly and efficient. Good value for money.

Wow, we had the best waitress on site who heard that it was my husband's birthday and surprised us with fountains, champagne and this birthday card. Absolutely lovely & thankfully for Mae! Every restaurant should have a size!!!

Classic Blockhouse Restaurant directly opposite the AEZ. We got a table immediately on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. without a reservation. Very, very friendly service - it couldn't be better. Very crowded, therefore a bit louder and the food today was ok but not outstanding. The onion soup wasn't recommended, but the focus at the Blockhouse is more on steak & co and that was good. Overall, definitely recommended and a warm greeting to Ms. Wytyk - her friendliness made the visit to the restaurant something special.

Dressing drowning the salad it was almost soup. Please next time let the diners pour the dressing. The steak was decent and the atmosphere was good however.

Quantities were reduced instead of increasing prices. A questionable approach. Mr. Block's letter on every table made me ask the waiter whether I should now donate money to Mr. Block because he is feeling so badly... who was the first to take advantage of Corona help

Super tasty food, the steak comes cooked as ordered. I find the log cabin chain to be particularly child-friendly. Children's menus with fish fingers and a painting mat so that it doesn't get boring. A puzzle or soap bubbles to say goodbye You should make a reservation here at lunchtime and early evening. Unfortunately, it is also relatively loud at these times. Perhaps a few sound-absorbing room dividers could help here.

Food tastes very good. I find a cheeseburger for 17 euros that consists of garlic bread and a meatball with cheese very questionable. Otherwise I think the food tastes great but is now very, very expensive.

We reserved a table for 11 people for my birthday. As a gesture from the house, we were treated to Prosecco and table fireworks along with a birthday serenade from the service surprised with a family photo in a very nice folder. All I can say is: Competent, very friendly service and great food. Thank you

This restaurant is not as good as expected, the steak tastes average. The environment is fine. The waitress who served us had a very poor service attitude. Because the cashier presented the wrong bill, the service staff had a bad attitude and without apology demanded to pay the difference between the new bill and the old bill. Burger plus fries didn't meet my expectations. Coleslaw as a side dish was almost impossible to find. Too small an amount. Service was top.

The young lady (Bettina) served us very kindly. Unfortunately, one point is deducted because it is slowly becoming too expensive and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Both dishes + 2 drinks = 70€! Already intense... It also took about 10 minutes before we were noticed outside at the table.

The prices for steaks have now exceeded my personal pain threshold. Now I ordered a fitness pan to take away and unfortunately only realized when I got home that the meat was very tough. I don't think I'll be visiting the Blockhouse again anytime soon...

Very rude and inattentive service in the restaurant!!

Visited the Block House again after years and was unfortunately very disappointed. The selection of dishes has shrunk extremely, the portions are very small - but the prices are very high! The quality was also not what we knew before. The rump steak (our favorite steak) was only available as a dish and only in 180g - and unfortunately not as tasty as you are used to. So it happened that none of the four of us were really full and we had to double down on the desserts, which were very good. A pity. For us, the BlockHouse used to be the "epitome" of great meat dishes. Now there is little choice, small portions, average quality and expensive prices. Sorry, but in every other steakhouse you have more choice (also when it comes to the weight of the steaks), larger portions and sometimes cheaper prices.

I was there on a weekday around 5pm with my 2 children. The restaurant wasn't very busy, we were greeted and served very quickly. For the younger child there was also a coloring picture and lots of colored pencils. We wouldn't have to wait long for the food. As usual, the meat was of top quality and cooked to perfection. We went to Block House Alstertal last week for our little daughter's birthday (she loves steaks). As always, a great stay. Delicious food, consistently good quality and great service. I haven't been to Block House in a very long time and I had very fond memories of the steakhouses in the past. Unfortunately, this time we were really disappointed overall. At the salad bar they hadn't bothered to pour the dressings from the supermarket packaging into a container. That seemed very cheap. My Mr. Rumpsteak was super tough, the potato gratin (side dish) used to be much larger and tastier. The cream mushrooms we also ordered (for €4.60) were not very seasoned and didn't look like fresh mushrooms. The portion was really tiny for the price. The vegetarian dish (baked potato) with bruschetta was more of a children's portion for just under 14. Overall, the selection of vegetarian dishes is small and they are rather boring. That seems a bit out of time. The second Mr. Rulpsteak and the fillet were good. The employee wasn't really friendly, I only get 4 stars because he responded to my complaint about the steak and bought me a cappuccino. We all agreed that the restaurant has developed significantly towards system catering and is too expensive for that. That's a shame, we used to like to go to Block House often, but for a similar price you can get better at other stake houses.

Blockhaus is an institution in Hamburg and you don't come across it when it comes to steaks. Not for the faint of heart, the cattle don't run away. Enjoy your meal

I was in the Block House for the first time these days and what you immediately notice are the really nice and friendly staff. Unfortunately, this is hardly the case anywhere these days. The rest of the restaurant was also very modern and clean. Now unfortunately I have to address the big negative point. The food is an absolute no-go for the price. The meat of the steaks was completely bitter. In the end I really just choked it down. Given the prices, I expect delicious food. Even the spices couldn't dispel the bitter taste. And so did my children and my wife. It's a shame, the visit will definitely be a unique experience.
