BLOCK HOUSE Alstertal is our savior for those "I don’t wanna cook" nights or when we return from vacation to an empty fridge. Every time, without fail, the steaks are cooked to perfection, and the staff makes us feel right at home with their friendly, welcoming service. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly what you’re getting—great food, zero fuss, and a reliably good time. Whether it’s a lazy evening or a small celebration, this is our happy place. Unfortunately there was very little meat in the American salad and the plate was far too small. A lot of salad fell off my plate while I was eating. Very little salad for a main course.

I was there this evening, excellent food, hospitable environment, the best thing of the evening was the waitress. With his availability, kindness and professionalism he made everything even more perfect. I ate very well and was served perfectly. At the end of the meal, the waitress Beltina recommended me a new dessert, "affogato", delicious and perfect. I thank the waitress Beltina for her kindness and professionalism. Surely Mrs. Belitina is the icing on the cake for the local Block House, like a ray of sunshine in Germany that puts everyone in a good mood. I'll definitely be back.

This is our favorite Block House. Not just because of the best sirloin steak, but mainly because of the best service! When we are there as a family or our teenage kids want to eat a portion of fries with friends... We are all served super friendly - almost like a family. Thank you very much for that!

Very nice service - we were immediately given 10 (!) Prosecco (+birthday song) when the waitress noticed that it was someone in our group's birthday. And above all, the food was excellent - very tasty fresh salad and perfectly prepared steak. The other dishes (e.g. the fish) were also very tasty. Only the furnishings are a bit outdated... (but I didn't really find it annoying).

Simply great service, friendly and the food came at the same time for my group. After I was asked if everything was okay? I just said that my meat could go on the grill again, so I got my piece of light grilled in no time and got the bread and potatoes new. Simply great service. The portion sizes were also very good.

A typical blockhouse with good food and drinks. But I would particularly like to mention a man who takes care of the tables and guests! He was very friendly and even though we didn't have a reservation on a day when it was extremely busy, he made us feel welcome. He kept informing us how long it would take and, despite the high stress, he was always friendly and gave us a small drink because of the long waiting time. Thank you for being so accommodating to your guests - we will definitely be back!

I had lunch and it was great. The baked potato was tasty, but rather sweet for my taste. Overall everything was great. The waitress was very nice and had a complete overview despite the large number of guests. We got the last table for two on a Friday without a reservation, so call ahead. With the open kitchen you have a great view of the preparation of your menu. Can't complain.

Nice service, delicious food. But the prices have increased a bit and the size of the steak has decreased. And there was neither whipped cream nor a scoop of ice cream with the apple strudel. Things used to be different too. But you get high quality and food that simply tastes good.

I picked up the food I ordered online before the agreed pickup time - so it was freshly prepared. Ten minutes later I was home and ate the food. The main course (fillet medallions with vegetables) was lukewarm and of a quality that was below fast food. The dessert (Hot Chocolate Lava Cake) was also lukewarm and disappointing in quality. The packaging was neither environmentally friendly nor suitable for maintaining the temperature of the food. Overall I would rate the food 4/10. However, the customer service deserves 10/10 points: the management apologized and offered me a voucher, which I really appreciated.

I was there twice in a row with my family within a short space of time. We have always enjoyed going to the Block House for decades, unfortunately I had to deduct 2 stars for the food because it wasn't bad but unfortunately it was fried to death, but what really made our evening perfect was our waiter "SAMI" who was simply world class 🫶🏼 you could have We could also have served us a slice of bread and with this waiter it would still have been a perfect evening. Very accommodating and pleasantly not intrusive, very relaxed, not so stiff, you feel very welcome as a guest 🙏🏻 I would like to thank “SAMI” again for this (repeated) great evening 👍🏻 little tip: you should make a reservation then with a note that you would like to see Sami 😉 I am already looking forward to the next visit ❤️ P.s. : Thank you SAMI for the delicious garlic bread to take home, that was a delicious midnight snack 🤩

Spent a few great hours there, with good food and first-class service. In particular, “our” lady in service, Bettina, took excellent care of our well-being. Very personable and accommodating, you can tell she likes her job! The whole team is worth mentioning, it's fun to eat here. We'll be back, maybe on my "real" birthday 😉.

Usually very tasty, good steaks. But on the Saturday before Christmas it was too crowded, very noisy and the food wasn't as good as usual. But the staff were still in a good mood and friendly.

The salmon dish could have been warmer. Does Block have no fish cutlery? The portions are also very manageable for the price.

This was our first time in the Block House. The food was delicious. We were there with our grandson. He was given something to paint. That was really nice. We have determined for ourselves. Always happy.

The food was of the usual, quite good block house quality. A beer glass was damaged and its contents were replaced without any problems. There was a note on the table explaining that Block House did not want to take part in the currently rampant price increases. You wouldn't increase the prices, just reduce the portions. So hidden price increase with announcement, oh well. And the turkey schnitzel was really puny (hence the rating).

Wow, we had the best waitress on site who heard that it was my husband's birthday and surprised us with fountains, champagne and this birthday card. Absolutely lovely & thankfully for Mae! Every restaurant should have a size!!!

Classic Blockhouse Restaurant directly opposite the AEZ. We got a table immediately on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. without a reservation. Very, very friendly service - it couldn't be better. Very crowded, therefore a bit louder and the food today was ok but not outstanding. The onion soup wasn't recommended, but the focus at the Blockhouse is more on steak & co and that was good. Overall, definitely recommended and a warm greeting to Ms. Wytyk - her friendliness made the visit to the restaurant something special.

Super tasty. Dog friendly. Sunny hosted us very professionally and authentically. And the toilets are very clean and have disinfectant in every toilet 👍🏼 we will be back.
