We first came here 3 years ago and were blown away. So, it was a no-brainer to eat here again during our current stay in Hamburg. And mmm, it was a real treat again 👌. The salads were fresh and crisp, the meat was simply perfect, and nothing else was left on the plate. The service level was top-notch, 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 superior for Christo, who was actually there for us again today, just like 3 years ago. He made the evening truly special again. This was our first time at the Blockhouse in HH Eidelstedt and we were thrilled. We went on a Sunday afternoon and were immediately given a warm welcome by the counter staff and were able to choose a nice table by the window. We were quickly handed menus by a very friendly server. Our orders were taken in no time and Mr. Müller brought us our drinks very promptly. The food - we had two different steaks - was perfectly cooked and the salad and other side dishes were also superb. Sour cream was brought without being asked and we were asked again about other requests. We were thoroughly satisfied - the food was delicious and the service staff were extremely friendly. A big compliment to everyone and especially to Ms. M. who served us according to the bill. We sat at table 10. The only downside is that there is no Blockhouse in Bremen, which is a real shame! We have been waiting for it for decades but unfortunately nothing has happened. Then we'll just have to keep coming to Hamburg and come back to the Blockhouse Eidelstedt.

I was at the Block House in Hamburg-Eidelstedt today and I was completely thrilled. The food was excellent - especially the filet mignon and the baked potato with sour cream were prepared to perfection. The meat is tender and juicy, the potato is almost creamy on the inside – a real taste experience. But what really made this visit special was the service. I have rarely experienced such friendly, attentive and at the same time pleasantly reserved service. Here you can see that hospitality is practiced - a big thank you for that! I would love to come back.

The Block House name has always represented a high standard, and it continues to live up to its name! Not only is the steak of exquisite quality, the side dishes are also good. Whether it's crispy French fries or a crispy salad - it's just good. The service is friendly and accommodating, we would be happy to come back.

The food was delicious, there was really nothing wrong with it! But the portions... I had fillet medallions of beef with vegetables and the portion was really tiny. I like to eat high-quality meat often and I know what it costs. That was just a “joke” overall, sorry! Overall, the service was very nice and extremely accommodating! Thank you!

The food and service at this branch were just as perfect as at all the other restaurants in the chain. Unfortunately, it was quite busy on Friday evening (March 15, 2025), and the noise level from the customers was quite high. But that can't be helped. All the more admirable was how quickly we were served despite the busyness. Great!

I ate at the Block House for the first time today and have often heard good things about it. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with the presentation of the dish. It was very unspectacular, so I would have expected a little more at €24. The taste was still delicious.

Habe Backkartoffel ohne Sour Creme bestellt zu meinem Essen. Kam natuerlich mit Sour Creme in der Kartoffel. Habe es reklamiert. Am Ende wurde dann zuviel berchnet ( 2x Putenbruststeaks je 16.- Euro, 1 Kaffee 3,50 Euro +1 Cappuccino 3,70 Euro zusammen 39,20 Euro). Habe es leider erst abends gemerkt, das ich beschissen worden bin. Rechnung betrug lt. Kellnerin 45,70 Euro. Werde nicht wieder kommen in ein Restaurant in dem man Beschissen wird!!!!

Staff didn't listen to the order. I ordered baked potatoes without sour cream with my meal. Of course it came with sour cream in the potato. I complained about it. In the end, too much was charged (2x turkey breast steaks 16 euros each, 1 coffee 3.50 euros + 1 cappuccino 3.70 euros, a total of 39.20 euros). Unfortunately, it wasn't until the evening that I realized that I had been cheated on. According to the waitress, the bill was 45.70 euros. I won't come back to a restaurant where you get shitty!!!!

A very cozy log cabin right on Eidelstedter Platz. It's still here the same as it was 20 years ago. Good food, friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere. When we are nearby we like to come here to eat.

Unfortunately, it's no longer as usual. Wrong food, oversalted, and that multiple times at the same table.

We had dinner with you today. The turkey steak was really a joke. My husband just looked at me in disbelief. A man can't get enough of that. 2 small, wafer-thin pieces of meat. At the next snack he treated himself to two sausages. It was really a mini portion.

Far too small portions. The turkey steaks are a joke and children's portions. The lady at the service was the only positive thing I can report. Very unfortunate

I was here with 2 colleagues. The food was as expected, very good. Only the portions were a little too small for us or our hunger was too great. Each of us ordered 2 steaks.

For a steakhouse I was not satisfied with the Rumpsteak. It was chewy and didn’t came with the sauce I wanted. My girlfriend had the chicken but that was also super chewy. For me a NO GO for next time

Today the dish of the day was fish, more precisely fish fillet with rice and spinach, followed by salad. All for €12.90. The fish fillet was 1/4 of a fillet (extra small), enough rice, and medicinal-tasting creamed spinach.

A very pleasant atmosphere on New Year's Eve. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was still not stressed and the food came fantastically quickly and was very tasty. Rack of lamb with spinach and potato gratin, fries separately and apple strudel with vanilla sauce as dessert

The food is really great. The service is also 1A. The whole team is friendly and accommodating. I like Mr. Müller best. Mr. Müller is the reason why I always choose the Eidelstedt log cabin. We are always greeted with good humor and positivity by Mr. Müller.

Have often been to this restaurant with our elderly parents/in-laws. The reception is very friendly and personal, our wishes were always fulfilled to our complete satisfaction. For our parents, the visit is always a highlight and they are always very happy. Always happy to come back.😊

Unfortunately, the Block House has become very expensive. And I think €6.70 for a rhubarb spritzer is very excessive

Super nice, friendly and competent staff. The food (I mainly eat filesteak here) is almost always on point and always delicious. Exchanging inserts and special requests are no problem and I find the prices to be fair. Came and would love to come back here.

Block house is a phenomenon. Decor and concept from the 80s, but full from 4 p.m. until closing time because it's delicious and the service is good. Would love to come back.

Everything was great. The first steak was not medium rare as requested. But it was corrected immediately. I got a whole new plate straight away. Block House Eidelstedt impressed us with its cuisine - the food was excellent and the quality of the dishes left nothing to be desired. But unfortunately our visit was marred by a very unpleasant incident. While eating, our little dachshund set off a rat trap right under the bench my friend was sitting on. The waitress immediately apologized and explained that the trap was set by a pest company to keep rats away. However, we noticed that the chocolate cream on the trap was fresh - an observation that particularly concerned us as this is a safety risk at a dog-friendly restaurant where dogs are welcome. Fresh chocolate can be dangerous for dogs and the fact that a trap was placed so unnoticed was alarming. After paying for the meal, the waitress offered us dessert “on the house” again, even though we had already ordered and eaten it. We found this gesture rather confusing as it didn't really help defuse the situation. As we were leaving the restaurant, another employee, presumably the manager, spoke to us and explained that the trap had been there for a long time and had probably been forgotten because there was a rat problem around the building. This statement seemed untrustworthy to us and increased our unease. In retrospect, we wished that the staff had reacted more sensitively. A simple gesture such as removing dessert from the bill would have been an appropriate gesture of accommodation and would have alleviated the unpleasant experience. However, a bad aftertaste remains and the feeling that safety and hygiene standards urgently need to be reconsidered.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the salad dressing wasn't that good. Super attentive staff, very hardworking and also funny! Keep it up💟The rooms were unfortunately so loud that we could hardly have a conversation, which was a shame.

My 5 stars go to the employee Silke who served us today. Because I'm self-employed, I have a great connection to gastronomy and with her you can just tell that she understands gastronomy. We simply noticed your positive mood and promptness. A nice saying here, a smile, a charming additional sale and totally on the ball. Keep it up!

Typical blockhouse. If you like good steaks, this is the place for you. This blockhouse restaurant actually seems a little “old-fashioned” to us. But it doesn't change anything about the good food.

What can you say here? It's a block house. The name speaks for itself. The ambience and the food are simply pure enjoyment. The steak was so tender that it melted in your mouth even more than the butter. Simply a pleasure. What more could you want or what could be better? There is one thing. This wonderful meal was tipped by the waiter. His name tag said Christo. This person loves his job and it shows. It would make the visit even nicer.

Basically: seat allocation without notice at the entrance. Despite arriving late, the reserved table (5 people) was still occupied and you are standing in the way in the entrance area. Afterwards the table was cleared (even though everything was already empty) and cleaned. The food, steaks of course, is perfect and the table service is nice. We only had to wait over 10 minutes for the Sourcerme we ordered and nothing came. The baked potato then got colder. It took less than a minute when we pointed out the follow-up order again. Overall a good visit. We used parking spaces in the paid parking garage. Stress free.

A rump steak from the daily menu with a salad plate: The salad crunched and I noticed that the ingredients obviously hadn't really been washed - there were still coarse grains of sand in them. Well, I thought dirt was supposed to cleanse the stomach. Now about the fries. Soft and light yellow and not at all crispy. Prepared absolutely carelessly. Just sad. But the coffee was good.

Food is pretty good,but burger is only in kids menu and its like sandwich, not a burger. The meat is perfect! But the waiters are great It was my first time and i will 100% come back Also it's an atmospheric place,i really recommend it
