What a shame, I'm usually quite satisfied. But a salad with two slices of turkey steak that are smaller and thinner than the tomato slices, and they charge €15 for that... A waiter with memory lapses, a "manager" who dismisses complaints with stupid remarks and whose aftershave is very overpowering... speechless!

It was the best piece of meat I've had in a long time. Perfectly roasted/grilled.

We were there yesterday with four children, and the service was excellent. Other places can easily get irritated, but we felt very well looked after. The food was also very, very tasty. Everything was top-notch!

I spontaneously stopped by for lunch with a colleague. We sat outside and had a salad from the lunch menu. A super-delicious bruschetta to start! The salad was accompanied by garlic toast. 👌 The food was excellent overall, and the service was very friendly!

On September 26, 2025, we went to the Block House for the smallest family reunion of our youth. Back then, as a steak lover, I was surprised, now as a vegetarian, by how incredibly delicious everything was. I wouldn't have thought that my expectations, reinforced by my memories, would be exceeded. The best baked potato of my life, buttery and tender, with delicious sour cream garlic bread and a crisp salad. Only the two bites of potato gratin, although very tasty, didn't make sense in terms of value for money at just under €5. The service, however, was excellent, as was the white wine from the Palatinate region. Thank you for a special evening!

I was here for the first time last night. We got a table without a reservation. A very friendly gentleman served us. His service was excellent. The food, not exactly cheap, was good and plentiful. I can definitely recommend this restaurant. You can't go wrong here.

We were at Block House Harburg with 10 people and were absolutely thrilled! The food came out at the same time, was incredibly delicious, and everyone enjoyed it. I would especially like to highlight the extremely friendly and attentive staff, as well as the store manager; you rarely experience such warmth and professionalism. Even if the food hadn't tasted good (which it definitely did!), we would come back just for the great team. Absolutely recommend it!

We always enjoy coming back, especially for lunch after shopping or a workout. Of course, all other dishes outside of lunchtime are also available. The salads and steaks are excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly, and everything is quick and reliable. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside at a few tables. We always enjoy coming here.

Actually, little has changed over the years. That's probably how it's meant to be... The food was good and tasty as always, and the service was friendly and prompt. The daily specials are highly recommended. In the strong sunshine, no one wanted to use the unshaded outdoor seating (is it possible to upgrade the existing shade?)

A classic block house – it seems a bit nostalgic these days. But as always, good service and okay food.

We had a Western meal there. As always, the food was very good and the waitress for our table was very efficient. However, the head waiter (?) wasn't very professional. He complained loudly about a colleague while walking through the restaurant. He also spent about 15 minutes talking, not exactly quietly, to guests sitting not far from us. It was a bit annoying, but overall, it's worth eating there.

We had a fantastic evening at Blockhaus Harburg. The service was absolutely top-notch: friendly, attentive, and warm. We were pampered throughout, and our little daughter was lovingly treated and even received a gift—a wonderful gesture that touched us deeply. Special praise goes to the manager and the entire team, who made us feel truly welcome and well looked after. You can feel that true hospitality is practiced here. The food was delicious and of high quality. We had the turkey breast steak and New Zealand lamb rump, and the beef carpaccio to start with. We will definitely be back. Block House is always good! Friendly service. Had another lovely meal here today. The food was excellent, and the service was incredibly attentive and charming. Kudos to the entire team. Addendum: Unfortunately, due to the ongoing price increases, Block House had to replace the North Sea crab with prawns because it was simply unaffordable, and few people would buy it for €20. I was so looking forward to this starter. Unfortunately, I don't like the prawn salad that much and won't order it as a substitute in the future.

A solid steakhouse in the heart of Harburg! Good products, as you'd expect from a chain. The service is attentive and friendly, but since it's always very busy, with so many people running back and forth all the time, everything seems a bit hectic, rushed, and a bit disorganized. But the food arrives very quickly and is of the usual high quality, so it's definitely a recommendation, despite the somewhat dated benches, chairs, and tables.

We have been loyal and, until recently, enthusiastic guests at the blockhouse for about 50 years. Specifically, regarding our last visit to Harburg, I can say that the service was fast and, as usual, very friendly. Only one waiter went a bit overboard with his friendliness, as other guests have already described, by stroking my arm in a friendly way. That definitely goes too far! Unfortunately, on our last two visits to the blockhouse, we discovered that the recently significantly higher prices absolutely do not match the simultaneously shrunk portions. Okay, the amount of meat is given in grams, but the potatoes are also only half the size they used to be. It can't be that Mr. Rump Steak, including side dishes, for €29 doesn't fill you up anymore! In terms of taste, it's still unbeatably good for us, but we're actually considering whether we'll go to the blockhouse again... A lot of money for so little food? A real shame!

The rump steak at Block House is solid. Tender, juicy, and well-seasoned—exactly what you'd expect. For the price, you get a good piece of meat that doesn't disappoint. Sure, there are more exciting steaks in the city, but Block House delivers honest quality. If you're looking for a good steak without a lot of frills, this is the place.

Awesome place. We had our dog with us and they were so accommodating. He was able to come into the restaurant and he was so quiet the waitress didn't notice him til later. They were all so nice, and helpful. Kind people and service. Definitely worth the visit.

It's a bit inflexible; unfortunately, you have to order steak menus even though you only want a steak, and the chefs work without gloves, touching everything with their hands. It's a bit unappetizing; I won't go there again! The value for money isn't good; spinach and the like aren't fresh, and it's from a bag...

It was our daughter's birthday and we thought it would be like always...unfortunately our restaurant manager, who always lovingly designed it with a picture and card and everything that goes with the birthday, wasn't there...instead it was done so quickly that we couldn't react at all...unfortunately there was no picture... But we had a delicious meal...but next time we'll ask if our nice restaurant manager is there...so that it doesn't turn into a failure again.

I was there around late noon and ate something, it was as you would expect from the Blochaus chain, it was quick, tasty, accommodating, there was also something for asparagus friends due to the session, the ambience was old but classic, personally it wasn't for me, but that's a matter of everyone's taste, but overall it's worth a stay for a good meal

First of all: I had an American Tanderloin with potato gratin and spinach, as well as 2 cold drinks. Everything was delicious. There was absolutely no reason to complain. But: For the same money you could also eat in the Bullerei, for example. And then the experience factor and the quality are a bit better. In this respect, measured in terms of price-performance ratio, it's rather average. Sorry.

Portions are getting smaller and smaller! The potatoes used to be bigger and there was so much sour cream on them that you couldn't see the potato anymore and it was enough for the entire meal. In the meantime we have to order SourCream twice.

Natürlich kann man hier essen gehen, aber... Für diesen Preis gibt es inzwischen Restaurant die besser sind. Das Spezi war abgestanden, das Miss Rumpsteak nicht zart und ich habe auch schon deutlich bessere T-Bone Steaks gesehen und gegessen. Die Küche hat es zudem nicht geschafft das Fleisch auf die bestellte Art und Weise zu grillen. Für diese Preise nicht empfehlenswert.

I haven't been to a Blockhouse in a long time. The atmosphere is like it was 15 years ago, classic. The service was very friendly and attentive, as well as very quick and plentiful. Food: We had the rib-eye, which was generously prepared, very well, and cooked to perfection. I would recommend this Blockhouse.

We like being here. A nice team that is attentive and friendly. In our opinion, the lunch menu is fairly priced. Just under €14 for a small sirloin steak with potato gratin and leaf spinach, delicious. The salad beforehand is also included in the price. Fresh table water costs €30 for two. And the quality is top.

The Block Houses need an update, but they're reliable. The meat is good, the salad crisp and colorful, but everything else isn't particularly special. The service, on the other hand, was excellent; the lady in charge of ours was always present, very attentive, and quick despite the large number of guests – a perfect hostess (Dear BlockHouse team, I unfortunately didn't remember her name, but you have a true star in your team – she was in charge of the area next to the entrance on the evening of March 4, 2025. Please pass on the praise!)

Salad was nice, but the steak I ordered was very chewy, like gum. Chips are thin and not crispy.

The Block House is great. The food tastes very tasty, the service is very friendly and quick as long as it's not too busy. When you say it's your birthday, a birthday song comes on and you take a photo and at the end you get a card with the photo and lots of signatures. We have been eating here for several years and it is always a pleasure for us. I can only recommend the restaurant!

I like to remember how delicious it was back then at the Block House Harburg. It was something special to eat there. However, this has changed. The atmosphere is the same as it has been for years. The service is, let's put it, friendly, not exactly customer-friendly. I expect friendliness here, so that you feel at home and that you get what you ordered and don't forget the salad or clear it away so quickly even though you haven't finished eating yet. A smile would also be nice; internal training would be appropriate here. About the food: the fries were limp and the steak was not medium, but almost raw. It was then returned and received back almost raw. Here we recommend extra training on the grill, especially given the high prices. The saying really fits here: Everything used to be better.

Among other things, we had ordered a Classic Burger and when it was served we initially thought it was a mistake because instead of a burger there was only a patty on the plate!! We found this to be extremely misleading and wished we had been informed about this by the menu and the service staff. The service should be trained again here. We also ordered Filet Mignon 3/4 through [medium-done] and received medium-raw. It's a shame, we would have expected more here.

The last time I was in the Blockhouse was about 6 months ago. Yesterday again after such a long time. The austerity measures cannot be overlooked here. Unfortunately, the portions of the side dishes have been drastically reduced. The goulash soup was exactly 4 tablespoons in size. The measly side dish of potato gratin and the spinach with onions as well. That was all sufficient. Unfortunately we didn't go out yesterday with a full stomach. Very, very unfortunate. The crisis here seems to be huge. The service was great as always! Friendly reception, nice service

We ate the hit of the week from the lunch program. It was a very tasty meal INCL. salad at a very good price. It couldn't be better. Service was quick and friendly as always. You sit comfortably with enough distance from your neighbors. Highly recommended.
