We spontaneously went in for lunch with our 3 children. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a large, beautiful table. It was quiet and there was plenty of space. We ordered lunch and it was super tasty! The salmon was fried to perfection .The service was very friendly, funny and accommodating. Thank you for the relaxing lunch break!

Hello, today I would like to confirm that I had a very good meal at Block-House. There is a new dish for vegetarians on the menu which I was very happy about It tasted good and came to the table hot. My companion had a good, very tasty steak. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I'm very happy that I was able to change my recession for the better today! Please keep it up. Usual quality in the usual 80s atmosphere, but unfortunately the prices are too high

Spontaneously went to the Block House Harburg. The service deserves special praise 👍. Food good as usual. It's a good thing at Block House, in my experience, that the quality is equally good at every location

So it can't be compared with Kiel at all. My daughter and I were just thrilled!!! Please keep it up because we will definitely come back!!!!!

Unchanged, as you know it. The steak was to die for

First of all: I had an American Tanderloin with potato gratin and spinach, as well as 2 cold drinks. Everything was delicious. There was absolutely no reason to complain. But: you could also eat in the Bullerei for the same money. And then the experience factor and the quality are a bit better. In this respect, measured in terms of price-performance ratio, it's rather average. Sorry.

We had a very nice evening at Block House. Everything was delicious and you could tell that everything was prepared to a high quality. Our waiter Mr. Khostwal was really super nice. We will come again. A very great restaurant. Edit 10/20/24: We were there for a birthday dinner today, again it was great. I really enjoyed the salad and especially the Mastercut was great. There was also a small musical performance as a gift and a sparkler as a gift, very nice thank you for that. With us you have gained 2 new regular guests.

A nice restaurant in the middle of Harburg. The food is simply great. The salad is crunchy and tastes very good! The steak is also tender. Our service was extremely friendly.

I've been coming here since I was a child, unfortunately a lot has changed. The service has clearly deteriorated. There are a lot of waiters around, but they don't look at the tables much. It is discussed in front of the guests that they should go smoke or speak loudly in their native language. As a guest we felt uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the corners of the toilets are dirty with sand, dirt and hair. There were also a few spiders. The food was okay, but unfortunately you can taste that a lot of it was just warmed up. It was lukewarm. The children's fries were also not crispy, but dripping with fat and not properly fried. The spinach used to be much better. You can now say that we should address it. But we're really tired of it and don't want to keep having food thrown away. When I ordered I asked to swap my bruschetta for spinach. That was approved. Then on the bill, €4.50 for spinach, but no bruschetta (only bread was on the plate). When I asked, it was clarified to me that they only had the tomatoes down. You have to say that bruschetta costs €5.50 in the house, the bread only €1. Plus it's not bruschetta, it's salsa. At least I was informed about it. I was then just left standing there. You felt really stupid and with a bill of €90 you would have to beg for money too. That had nothing to do with service. My husband and I often go to the Block House in Düsseldorf, Jungfernstieg or Berlin and are always very satisfied there.

We were really warmly greeted by Bastian at reception and shown to our place. He was an excellent host, asked every now and then whether everything was OK and the meat was second to none. My wife and I had an exceptional culinary evening and are already looking forward to our next visit

Unfortunately there is no block house where I live, so I always have to go to a block house when I am in Hamburg. It's cozy, delicious and the service is always very friendly to me.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had a great stay here, all the waiters were always very courteous and extremely attentive! We felt like little kings here, thank you very much for that! We also really liked the food and even after a small "meat dilemma" we were immediately compensated. The prices have of course increased here, as everywhere else, but the quality is very high. We would have liked a little more side dish to fill you up (so maybe a slightly larger potato or a larger bread). But otherwise it was very, very good!

Absolutely nothing to complain about. My vegetarian colleague also got her money's worth. Everything is delicious, the staff is friendly and attentive and the price is also ok for a steakhouse. See you again soon

I ate here for the first and last time. We sat close together with others, were smoked all the time and my husband's salad was still sandy. When I got home, I noticed that there was apparently something wrong with the hygiene. I kept throwing up and couldn't get out of the bathroom! Thanks!

Best location for my annual birthday meal. Always consistent very high quality and preferential treatment. As a tip: Steaks are also available by weight (for extra hunger and enjoyment) Where the guest is still perceived and treated as such. Gladly again and again.

Had the Block House Burger today 🍔 It was good, but I had imagined something different🤷‍♂️ but tasty 😋

The blockhouse right on the market is also well attended at lunchtime. Things get busy right at 12 o'clock, but the service handles it routinely. We had a very attentive and friendly lady who brought us our food quickly. Everything was delicious.

The food is Block House standard, so really ok. The same applies to the ambience. It's difficult to stand out at a "chain" because everything is standardized, ambience and recipes. What should be highlighted at Block House-Harburg is the friendliness of the employees.

Very friendly staff, and fast service. I dropped in here without a reservation looking for a good meal after a day of train travel to Hamburg and I was not disappointed! The filet mignon was excellent, as well as the complementary baked potato and garlic bread with sour cream. The salad, included as a starter in the menu, was very fresh, with lots of different veggies, some seeds and a nice dressing. The chocolate lava cake I had for dessert was served with a nice tart berry coulis. Compliments!

We had a company dinner on August 24th. The service employee assigned to us did not do his job well. With his pen fidgeting, he waits demandingly for the drinks to be ordered. I then said that we obviously need another moment. The drink order went well shortly afterwards, but when he asked to order the food, it was very (!!) important to him where to start at the table, so that there was a clear direction when the food was served that everyone knew from the kitchen. He looked energetically at the colleague who was supposed to order, but she was overwhelmed and didn't come up with anything. He gave her another 2 minutes and left the table instead of continuing to the next one. The pressure for the colleague was difficult to bear. However, the food didn't come in the order but was completely mixed up, which made the pressure he put on his colleague absurd. He didn't ask if we wanted any other drinks, just pointed out coffee. He laid out the dessert menus, which we also ordered and ate, still no mention of drinks. Overall, we took our time eating and in between, which he responded with loud clapping and a "so!" tried to get rid of us somehow. We asked for the bill and were told that it should be paid by card. He put the EC device next to the bill and asked what we should do with it. I quoted the exact price! He really doesn't deserve a tip! He looked at me and made me repeat. I said it's a company dinner and we're not allowed to tip. He reluctantly took the sum. Shortly afterwards he spoke to his colleagues that he was about to throw us Rigeros out... Begging for a tip like that after such poor hospitality is simply unbelievable. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first bad experience here either. In November we had to watch as a young waitress was folded up in the dining room and was not allowed to come out to wipe her tears, telling her to pull herself together and keep working. When I left, I told her not to get angry. I just felt sorry for her. Nobody should have to cry in front of customers! This is humiliating! After all, the food is amazing! The service requires training! Best regards

We regularly eat here before or after every concert or musical. The staff is extremely accommodating and always extremely friendly. That alone makes it worth going there. ☺️

Delicious food and nice service.

At the Blockhouse in Harburg I only ever get one steak: 12oz. Masterpiece. The pride of the butchers. Incredibly perfectly grilled and very good in taste. Of course there are also other delicacies such as the hamburger, a poem. The service is very attentive and courteous. I'd love to go back here!

We were able to go today without making a reservation. We have been to a BLOCK HOUSE in Berlin before, so we expected the same crowds, but it was very quiet. Hospitably received and helped quickly. A few minutes later the salad was already on the table! The meat quickly followed once we finished the salad. It was very hot outside, inside there was no air conditioning or fan to be seen, but nevertheless it was a great experience! We spent €69.50 for the Mrs Rumpsteak, Fanta, Rib-Eye Mastercut and a Weizen.

A steak experience like no other! You have to experience it or taste it... Absolutely recommended! I will gladly come again

After a long time I was back in the block house. Unfortunately it was very disappointing! The starter was a bruchetta bread... Unfortunately just a garlic bread like Jim Block's! The New York Cheeseburger was not worth the money for €17! The fries are not nearly crispy, rather raw. Even at McDonalds the wobbly fries are better! The burger was simply garlic bread again Jim Block, a meatball with the same tomatoes as the bruchetta and a small slice of cheese with a lettuce leaf! Well, if I had gone to Jim Block I would have been better served! And full!!! It's a shame that the quality wasn't up to par!

A restaurant that positions itself as a "steak house" has no right to serve such crap steaks, it's a shame. People who give 5 stars have NEVER EATEN TASTY.

We are always extremely satisfied, especially the big, nice restaurant manager, who is very accommodating and always reserves a great place for us with our baby! With the saying: "These are our guests of tomorrow" (regarding our baby) it definitely made us regular customers!! We feel very comfortable here and keep coming back :)

We haven't been there for years because of bad experiences, so we gave it a second or third chance. And lo and behold: good food and very good, warm service. Good value for money. We'd love to come back. Families are also welcome here.

Five of us were there later in the evening, got a table straight away, as well as the order and the food came pretty quickly. I particularly like the darker atmosphere, steaks were good, portions were always too small for accompaniment for me personally, so I fully recommend it, thank you very much

Mr. Rumpstaek wasn't marbled, he was more like Mrs. Rumpstaek. I liked it much better in the Lübeck Block House

Block House isn't what it used to be. The service was very bad, we were kept waiting for a long time and even payment and clearing up didn't go quickly. Disrespectful, we won't go there anymore. The manager should be more enthusiastic about his work and not walk around so lazily.

We were really looking forward to the visit. The service overlooked us at the beginning. Once we had the menu, I chose the filet mignon. There was a salad beforehand that was solid. The meat I ordered (medium) was black on the outside and partly medium and partly dark red on the inside. The service never asked questions and always had to be spoken to actively and loudly. The empty salad plate remained on my table until the end. Overall, I have often experienced better service.

Went to the Block House again for Mother's Day, unfortunately very disappointing. The portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher, unfortunately our waitress didn't have much interest in her work either, no smile, no nice word. I'll probably look for another favorite place.

The quality of the steaks is getting worse and the service is adapting to it. Went there for dinner on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 and spoke to the manager about the poor service. This gentleman is full of arrogance and ignorance, his main statement being: "You can complain about us at headquarters and we are free to stay away."

Basically a favorite destination for me for decades. Once forgotten, it has now been rediscovered for some time. Not that much has changed, I actually think that's a good thing in these hectic, fast-moving times. I was particularly happy about the attention on my birthday, even though no one had said anything. As expected, the food is very good, as is the friendly staff. Thank you for the many entertaining hours we have already spent there.

Had dinner there in March 2024. It was tasty and the service was good. The ambience is typical Block House and could use a refresh. If you come by car, you unfortunately have to expect parking fees of 3 euros per hour in the public parking spaces in front of the restaurant.

Very good quality, had a small mishap on the part of Blockhaus. But it was handled very, very professionally. Everyone is allowed to make mistakes, it's just how you deal with them that's important. Clearly recommended. Very nice staff, as we know, that's how the whole thing stands or falls.

It's a block house. A well-kept system catering. The food is very good if you are not vegan. Special requests are fulfilled. The staff is very friendly beyond routine. I think it's gotten a little expensive lately.

Rustically furnished, as you would expect from the Block House. No frills. Condition 1A! We had a very lovely waitress who was just really sweet and personal. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Thank you for that and have fun with the perfume sample and the lucky worm :-)

It's a little inflexible, unfortunately you have to take steak menus even though you only want a steak and the chefs work without gloves, touch everything with their hands, a bit unappetizing, don't go there anymore! Very well attended despite it being a weekday.

I have been visiting the Blockhouse chain for years. The food is always very good. This time, however, there was another surprise. It was my birthday🥰 My family had spoken to the manager beforehand. With a birthday serenade came champagne and juice for the whole family. A photo was taken and as a farewell this photo was given to all colleagues in a Blockhouse card💖 That was a very sweet birthday present.

The steaks are absolutely great and the service is good too. The waitresses are always friendly. You can't say that it's uncomfortable, rather that it's functionally furnished and it's usually very well attended. So definitely make a reservation. The toilets are very clean.

Gemütliches Ambiente, leckeres Essen und gutes Personal. Auch Essen Togo wird man super bedient.

Sehr laut und sehr überfüllt. An der Tür müssen wir 10 Minuten warten, bis wir angesprochen wurden. Zumindest ein "Hallo es kommt gleich jemand" wäre ganz schön gewesen. Service war sehr nett und freundlich. Essen war gut aber jetzt nichts besonderes.

War mit meiner Familie in 2023 bei Blockhouse in Harburg essen. Das Ambiente ist alt sowie bieder. Der Teppich könnte gerne eine Reinigung vertragen. Für Allergiker nicht geeignet. Der Service und das Personal waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Jedoch möchte ich zwei Punkte herausstellen. Insgesamt war es zu teuer. Eine normale Familie wird sich das Essen dort nur 1x im Jahr leisten können. Bsp. American Tenderloin (250g) für 39.60, inkl Salat und Knobi Brot und Kartoffel. Da stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis einfach nicht. Oder auch mein Essen... Lammfilet, 2 kleine Stücke, mit lieblosem Spinat, mittelmäßigem Gratin für 16,50. Auch zu teuer. In beiden Fällen war das Fleisch gut zubereitet. Aus meiner Sicht sollte Blockhouse über die Preise im Vergleich zur Menge an Essen doch einmal nachdenken. Also, uns hat das abgeschreckt für weitere Besuche.
