We were guests in beautiful Augsburg for the real estate congress and had an appetite for a delicious steak on Thursday evening. Our expectations were more than met, even with the delicious starters. It was so delicious that we were guests at the BlockHouse again the following evening and we were once again given a great welcome and hospitality. I have to particularly warn you about the LavaCake, as there is an absolute danger of addiction.

We celebrated a birthday at the Block House and absolutely loved it! We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. As a special highlight, there was a welcome champagne (or orange juice) for the birthday child, accompanied by happy birthday music and a fountain - that made the evening unforgettable. A particularly personal moment was the group photo, which was taken on site and immortalized in a beautiful card. It was a great memory to take home with us. And as if that wasn't enough, there was even a jar of honey as a gift at the end - a truly loving gesture. The food was, as always at the Block House, excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful celebration with a personal touch that goes far beyond the usual. We will definitely be back and would recommend Block House to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion! 5/5 stars!

For a steakhouse in the mid-price segment, it is my first choice in Augsburg! The service is first class and the price/performance ratio is right!! Some work could be done on the inventory!

It's funny when I read all the reviews, we weren't greeted or farewell, we just had to wait a long time for the drinks, the atmosphere with the salad at the entrance was more like a canteen than an upscale restaurant, the constant running around of the chefs and The waiter there didn't allow for an upscale atmosphere either. The music was very loud and hideous, I also find the surcharge of 11 € for 1 potato and piece of bread for a steak for 2 people very, very blatant and exaggerated. All in all, we believe that you can often eat much better for much less money. Our expectations were probably too high here

An overall good steak restaurant. My tenderloin steak was grilled medium as ordered, but my son's smaller steak was more well-done. Otherwise everything was perfect. The quality of the meat is very good. Vegetarian dishes are also really good.

So much went wrong. Starting with the order, it continues with the wrong things being brought, even though everything was corrected - there were a few things wrong again on the invoice. My steak was so mixed that they didn't charge me for it. I'll give it a second chance and then reevaluate.

We can highly recommend this location in Augsburg. Mr. Vau provided the service in an extremely friendly, humorous and committed manner. The starter, bruschetta with tomatoes, tasted excellent. The three of us were also very happy with the different degrees of doneness of our delicious steaks; they were perfect. Fortunately, sour cream was served for the baked potatoes without being asked. A great service. We'd love to come back. Cashless payment is possible. We found a parking space nearby.

Super freundlich, achtete auf die Damen, fragte nach, erklärte die Gerichte wenn wir nicht wussten wie durch wie es haben wollten oder woher es kommt. Ein absoluter Profi. Auch als das Essen kam, kam er regelmäßig vorbei und fragte ob alles in Ordnung sei. So einen Kellner kann man heute selten finden und hoffe die halten Ihn noch lange. Essen: Wir hatte Filet Steaks. Bei allen 4 perfekt so wie wir es bestellt hatten. Unglaublich zart, geschmackvoll. Selbst die Pommes waren grandios. Keine Ahnung aber Pommes zu nennen ist echt Wahnsinn. Lokation: Tja das ist schon älter. Dringend renovierungsbedarf. Es ist alles noch top in Schuss aber man merkt da könnte ein neuer Anstrich und Möbel rein. Preise: 160 g Filet für 29 ist teuer. Wir haben es akzeptiert weil das Gesamtpaket passt. Man muss in anderen Läden nicht mehr zahlen.

Instead, you see how carelessly frozen patties are put on the grill (for the burgers), how small plastic bags are taken out of the water bath in which the vegetables are warmed up, food is carelessly placed on the plate, no herb butter with the steaks. But the highlight was when you pulled hair out of both dishes and, thanks to the open kitchen, you could see who it was from. Then I lose my appetite. All in all, I would also give 0 stars. Never again!

I've never been so ripped off! Although I come from the catering industry and thought I had already seen a lot, the visit was really a joke. I thought a camera team would come along at any moment and shout "hidden camera"... I had ordered a classic burger with beef from MV and potatoes, but what I got was a fart-dry boulette (or as they say in Bavaria: Fleichflanzerl). a burnt potato and a piece of bread drowned in fat, all for just under 20 euros. When I left the store I was thinking about whether I should sue them for unfair competition, but I would only be annoyed for months and this store just isn't worth it. Oh yes, I was then offered another piece of bread so that I could “build my own” burgers. That was the biggest fool! Back to school! Learn about the food, law and customer friendliness and then try writing a menu again!

Unfortunately the portions are not enough to fill you up. And the burger is not a burger. The dish comes with 2 fillings and a boulette. The title Block House Burger needs to be off the menu. We waited for the hidden camera. The staff was overwhelmed when it came to paying and they had to go to the checkout for every single invoice.

Pathetic, the staff try very hard and are very nice, but when I pay €15 for two turkey steaks the size of larger nuggets and a potato, the pleasure gets stuck in my throat. As Oberwitz, a note is in order, contrary to the requirements from Brussels and Berlin, we are sticking with fair prices. Stick with it, I'll never come here again.

Ate at Block House for the first time today. The restaurant in Augsburg offers a very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious food! The steaks as well as the cheeseburger were first class; The salad is fresh with a delicious (American) dressing. Parking in the inner courtyard is not a problem, but there could be a tip on the homepage that says you have to call briefly while standing at the barrier to be let in! Overall, well-deserved 5 stars, we will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant under any circumstances. We waited over an hour for our steaks. When the food was finally ready, my steak was “well done” (photo), I had ordered medium rare. The only reason I didn't return my steak was because I didn't want to wait another hour...

Unfortunately, our visit to the Block House today wasn't that convincing. Only two tables were occupied in the restaurant, but there was no greeting. We were just told where to sit. The food was good, but our waiter seemed more preoccupied with the “manager” so the chef rang the bell three times and ended up having to bring the food himself. To management: It's really not okay to show guests a grumpy face. The lady's appearance is also a joke for a restaurant - doesn't anyone have an iron at home? Given the prices and requirements, the performance should definitely be better. I was also surprised at the drink prices. A 0.33l Coca Cola for €3.90 and the Zero version for €4.10 makes no sense at all because the purchase prices are the same. Overall, the visit was rather disappointing. I'll still give you 4 stars because it's generally been good so far. But for the price-performance ratio I will go to another restaurant in the future.

Then you ask if you would like new cutlery with the steak after the starter - no, I clean the old ones myself and continue eating with the smeared cutlery. Then another €110 for it - thanks no. I didn't leave a cent tip - for anything.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant and loved it from start to finish. The ambience was upscale but not over the top, creating a very pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We particularly liked the view into the open kitchen, which gave the whole thing a special touch. When it came to eating, we were supported in our selection by helpful recommendations. We chose steak, salad and dessert. The steak was grilled to perfection and the presentation of the dishes was simply outstanding. Every bite was a pleasure and the taste was great. The price was absolutely reasonable, especially considering the quality and excellent service. Of course it is a steakhouse, and we paid a total of €110 for a starter, dessert, two steaks (180g and 350g each) including a baked potato and three drinks each. In my opinion, this was absolutely fair for a successful evening. Overall, a great experience that I would happily recommend.

The Blockhouse can be found directly on Ulrichplatz. Here you have the option of sitting inside or outside. My recommendation is of course to get out in the fresh air, as there is almost no traffic here. So you can have a conversation there at a normal volume. The food is delicious and the price/performance ratio is also good. Only drinking is expensive. For example, a Spezi 0.33 l costs 4.70 euros.

I ate very well here and was served in an absolutely friendly and prompt manner. Because there was no (meat) weight on the menu, I was not disappointed with the small amount of meat in the filet mignon with two good side dishes. Only one of the two pieces was not as tender as I had hoped, which I pointed out in a friendly and understanding way, since meat is a natural product. I was still absolutely satisfied at a fair price and would be happy to come back. The piece of meat, which was fortunately slightly larger, was very tender and delicious, along with the good side dishes!

Food is delicious. But not all burgers are the same. Unfortunately here you only have a piece of minced meat, only a leaf of lettuce and no roll. The piece of minced meat lies on the garlic bread that is part of the “menu”. There are also more minced pieces to order, unfortunately our waitress forgot to mention this. Portions are sufficient.

Very spontaneously I went to the Blockhouse with my friend. We were welcomed and served very friendly. The steaks and side dishes were great! We were very satisfied. The ambience and atmosphere were great, and also comfortable.

Very nice to sit outside, long sun in summer. Quality always the same and good. Both meat and vegetarian. This time we had burgers, really great meat, juicy and fresh! Since there is little bread (can be put away without any problems), it is also good if you want to eat low carb. Service always courteous. What's really great is that there is free parking for guests on Maxstr. a real benefit.

Wie hat sich das gute alte Block-House verändert! Wir kennen es seit über 40 Jahren (aus HH, Mchn. und Augsburg). Von 4 Leuten waren 4 Leute unzufrieden! Fleischqualität minder (Flachsen, zuviel Fett etc); Salat lieblos (irgendeine Hasenfutter-Mischung, keine Champignons, keine Zwiebeln, keine Paprikastreifen - gerade mal eine dicke fette nach nichts schmeckende Tomatenscheibe); auch Sour-Creme und American Dressing nicht mehr in alter Qualität. Einzig der Ober - Herr Van (ich bin Chinese) - ist originell, bemüht und tüchtig. Deswegen 2 Sterne.

We went there without registering for our 85th birthday. Even though we had chosen a new table three times, everyone was friendly. We were treated to prosecco and a birthday card with a picture. Great idea! Steaks look good, potato gratin not so much as everything is pre-made by Blockhouse.

While looking for a good steakhouse in Augsburg, I came across the Blockhaus while strolling through the city. Even before the food was on the table, I was extremely impressed by the service. After I placed the order with my colleague, the waiter Benny immediately understood that we were currently following a keto diet and adapted our menu optimally and gave us great advice.

Nice restaurant, Benny served us this time and made sure we had a perfect holiday evening. Was very friendly, helpful and a top employee. The food is simply delicious. I can only recommend the Block House, it is definitely worth enjoying the evening there with the family.

The food and service were very good! However, we were a bit disappointed because we had reserved especially for our son's birthday. We were promised a great scenario on the phone including dessert, music, etc. We were even asked for his name. However… nothing happened. Was it forgotten?! Very unfortunate 😓

We had a good meal with our children for our silver wedding anniversary. The service was excellent from our waiter Benny. We received good steak advice and information about the season when it was time for asparagus. Unfortunately, when we made the reservation on the phone, they didn't pick up on the fact that it was the celebration of our silver wedding anniversary. But that didn't detract from the good food and the lovely atmosphere. We will be happy to come back.

Best steak in all of Augsburg. All people very nice and friendly. No long waiting times for the food. The best chef gets the grill level 100% the way you want it (Ediz). I can only recommend it.

Today we and my husband had the worst steak, or I bit into it once and left it alone. It was more like a lump of meat, totally tough, briefly fried, almost raw and lukewarm. We actually wanted rib eye, the waiter Mr. Benny recommended 780 grams of another meat. We didn't actually want to, he said it should be 100 percent very tasty and soft. But unfortunately it was completely bloody like chewing gum. My husband and I left everything there, and the open potatoes were hard and cold. We paid another €84 for that!!! We'll never go there again. I don't recommend it to anyone

Even though we made reservations early in the morning, our name wasn't on the guest list. The receptionists gave us a table but didn't open it my satisfaction. Two other tables that I asked about were reserved. All good, but we also had a reservation?! So first impression 0 stars. (I must also admit that it is difficult for me to be satisfied on this topic. But a well-experienced staff can turn the situation in his favor.) With the current strategy, this is the reason why this restaurant will remain average and no higher than 4.3 stars. Since my wife was 20 minutes late, she asked if my wife would come at all since the tables were scheduled every 1.5 hours. Absolute no-go!! I've been to so many restaurants so far, but it's the first time I've experienced something like this being communicated with the customer. In a high-priced restaurant, I expect my drinking glass to be reserved without dripping from the dishwasher. Ultimately, I'm not in a snack bar. The cutlery was shiny and clean. The waitress was nice and I can't complain about the food. By the way, important tip: They have parking spaces in the backyard. (We didn't know it either, the search for a parking space was also one of the reasons why my wife was late)
