Also ich hatte die Gulaschsuppe und das Putensteak und war danach immer noch hungrig. Geschmacklich gut, aber die Portionen waren für den Preis echt klein. Service war ok, aber nicht großartig oder besonders fix oder aufmerksam. Insgesamt leider nur durchschnitt

Wir können das Blockhouse in Augsburg sehr weiterempfehlen. Wir wurden von Van bedient, der rundum sehr bemüht war und einen tollen Job gemacht hat.

Geht so... aber die steaks sind nicht gut gewesen und burger sind da keine burger...

Wir haben auf der Durchreise in Augsburg einen Tag Aufenthalt und waren Abends hier im Lokal. Der sehr herzliche Empfang der Servicekraft verschaffte uns eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, die sich über den gesamten restlichen Abend hier aufrecht gehalten hat. Unser besonderer Dank geht an die Servicekraft „Vam“ seine sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service hat uns sehr gut gefallen, selten eine Servicekraft mit einem solch positiven Verhalten angetroffen. Wir können den Aufenthalt hier sehr empfehlen.

Mit dem BLOCK HOUSE macht man eigentlich nie etwas verkehrt. Das Haus in Augsburg ist außerordentlich gut. Ich hatte ein Rib-Eye Mastercut, medium rare. Es kam vom Lavastein, medium rare. Perfekt. Ebenso waren die Beilagen sehr gut. Das Personal war freundlich. Ein gelungener Abend, vielen Dank!

Richtig schön hier im herzen von Augsburg. Toller frischer, knackiger Salat. Perfekt gegrilltes Steak 🥩 und leckere Ofenkartoffel. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert 👍🏼

Der schlechteste Block House ganz Deutschland , war 3 mal da und 3 mal war das Essen einfach Schrott. Sonst großer Block House Fan aber in Augsburg nein danke !

Das Block House ist immer eine gute Wahl für Steaks.

Wir waren zu unserem 45. Hochzeitstag hier. Die Portionen sind sehr klein, aber es schmeckte alles gut. Der Service ist schnell und höflich.

Erster Besuch im Block House Augsburg. Der Service war zwar aufmerksam und hat mich direkt vorgewarnt, dass der Burger nur eine Brötchenhälfte hat (anscheinend ein häufiger Kritikpunkt). Warum man sich das antut und nicht einfach einen normalen Burger anbietet verstehe ich nicht und habe mich dann dagegen entschieden. Die Alternative war leider enttäuschend. Das Putenbrust-Steak für 18 € war geschmacklich zwar okay, die Portion allerdings so klein, dass man anschließend direkt noch woanders Essen gehen muss. Alle anderen Augsburger Steakhäuser bieten ein deutlich besseres Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Ich möchte hier klar Zeichen Angebot und Service unterscheiden. Das Steak war nicht besonders gut, alles etwas lieblos und für das austauschen der Beilagen wird extra berechnet (nervt). Aber Herr Van aus dem Service war so bemüht und lieb und hat alles toll erklärt. Für ihn gibt es volle Sterne :)

Für das Geld ist die Leistung extrem gut. Auch das Personal ist gut drauf. Steak war sehr gut Beilagen waren auch sehr gut. Nur die pommes hätten noch 1 min. gebraucht, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Mr van vom Service ist sanft drauf. Wir freuen uns immer ihn zu sehen. Vielen dank

Enttäuschende Erfahrung in Augsburg – Service und Abrechnung mangelhaft Bewertung: ⭐ (1/5) Als langjähriger Gast der Block House Kette (u.a. Frankfurt, Berlin, München) war mein Besuch in der Augsburger Filiale leider eine große Enttäuschung. Trotz eines persönlichen Umsatzes von über 100 € und einer großen Gruppe von 8-10 Personen am Tisch entsprach die erbrachte Leistung nicht dem gewohnten Standard. Kritikpunkte im Detail: • Fehler bei der Hauptspeise: Ich bestellte das "Mr. Rumpsteak" (250g) für ca. 30 €. Serviert wurde mir jedoch ein Fleischstück, das optisch deutlich kleiner war. Mein sofortiger Hinweis beim Servieren wurde ohne Prüfung abgewiesen. Kurz darauf erhielt eine Tischnachbarin ihr Hüftsteak (ca. 19 €), welches exakt die gleiche Größe wie mein teureres Gericht hatte. Hier lag offensichtlich eine Verwechslung vor, die vom Personal nicht korrigiert wurde. • Unvollständiger Service: Zum Dessert bestellte ich einen Lava Cake mit Cappuccino. Geliefert wurde nur der Kuchen. Der Kaffee kam bis zum Ende nicht an. • Mangelndes Beschwerdemanagement: Beim Bezahlen sprach ich die falsche Steak-Lieferung (30 € gezahlt für eine 19 € Leistung) erneut sachlich an. Leider gab es keinerlei Entschuldigung, Einsicht oder ein kulantes Entgegenkommen seitens des Personals. Fazit: Fehler bei einer großen Gruppe können passieren, aber der Umgang damit war in diesem Fall absolut unprofessionell. Wenn man hochwertige Preise aufruft, sollte die Qualitätskontrolle beim Servieren und die Reaktion auf Kundenfeedback stimmen. In dieser Filiale war das leider nicht der Fall.

Toller Service, aber das Essen hinkt dem Preis deutlich hinterher Wir hatten als Gruppe von acht Personen zwar einen schönen Abend, das lag jedoch primär an der guten Gesellschaft und dem hervorragenden Service, weniger an der Qualität der Speisen. Bei einer Rechnung von ca. 50 € pro Person hatten wir eine deutlich höhere Erwartungshaltung. Service & Ambiente Service (5/5): Ein riesiges Lob an unseren Kellner Florian und das gesamte Team. Trotz eines vollen Lokals waren sie aufmerksam, freundlich und haben auf Reklamationen sofort und professionell reagiert. Ambiente: Ein kritischer Punkt ist der Teppichboden im Gastraum. In einem gut besuchten Lokal empfinden wir dies heutzutage als eher unhygienisch und nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Vorspeisen (3/5) Die Vorspeisen waren insgesamt „in Ordnung“. Das Bruschetta war okay, allerdings haben wir das in anderen Restaurants qualitativ schon deutlich hochwertiger erlebt. Hauptgang (2/5) Hier klafften Anspruch und Realität leider weit auseinander: Rib-Eye „Prime-Time“ (300g): Von fünf bestellten Steaks entsprach nur ein einziges dem Standard „Prime“. Die anderen vier glichen eher medium gebratenen „Fleischlappen“ und waren weit entfernt von einem hochwertigen Steak-Erlebnis. Hüftsteak: Eines kam komplett übergart („Schuhsohle“) am Tisch an. Florian hat es sofort zurückgehen lassen und kurz darauf einen korrekt gegarten Ersatz geliefert. Rib-Eye Mastercut (360g): Laut Karte der „Stolz des Fleischers“. Leider erreichte das Fleisch gefühlt nicht einmal die 300g-Marke. Der Gargrad war okay, aber für das Preissegment und die Eigenwerbung des Hauses war es eine Enttäuschung. Dessert (1/5) Das Dessert war leider der Tiefpunkt des Abends: Lavacake: Ein offensichtliches TK-Produkt für 8 € (inkl. einer Kugel Vanilleeis). Bei einem Exemplar war der Kern sogar noch tiefgefroren (hart wie ein Hammer). Auch hier wurde zwar Ersatz geliefert, aber für diesen Preis ist ein Fertigprodukt nicht akzeptabel. Eis und Heiß: Statt der erwarteten Kombination (meist 3 Kugeln Eis mit Beeren) gab es lediglich eine Kugel Vanilleeis mit ein paar heißen Beeren für insgesamt 6 €. Da eine einzelne Kugel Eis laut Karte 2 € kostet, schlagen die wenigen Beeren mit 4 € zu Buche – ein in unseren Augen völlig unverhältnismäßiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Fazit: Wer einen exzellenten Service sucht, ist hier bei Florian und seinem Team bestens aufgehoben. Kulinarisch konnten die Hauptgänge und Desserts jedoch absolut nicht überzeugen, vor allem nicht in dieser Preisklasse. Wir waren einmal da, ein zweites Mal wird es leider nicht geben.

Wenn schon, denn schon. Klasse Location für privat und geschäftlich. Zu zweit oder mehr, wenn man gediegen gutes Essen in ansprechendem Ambiente, mitten in der Stadt genießen möchte.

Sehr gutes Steack, Frische Salat und guten Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis

Wir waren gestern zu viert im Block House zum Abend Essen. Das einzige was auf der Website geändert gehört ist die Parkplatz Sache. Es steht nämlich nirgendwo etwas über das Parken. Aber es gibt genügend Parkplätze für Gäste im Hinterhof. Man muss nur vorher ins Restaurant rein und ankündigen das man da ist. Dann wird einem die Schranke geöffnet. Reserviert auf 17:30 Uhr, hat alles Perfekt geklappt. Wir hatten einen schönen Platz in der Ecke ( mag ich eh am liebsten). Das Personal ist echt auf Zack. So sollte jeder Service, in jedem Lokal Funktionen, danke an unsere Bedienung Natalia. Zum Essen, ja es war gut, aber zum richtig Satt werden müssten die Portionen schon größer sein. Aber das würde natürlich auch höhere Preise bedeuten. Also geht das vollkommen in Ordnung. Das Filet ist echt super lecker, perfekt gegrillt angekommen, und endlich mal ein Brot am dem man sich nicht alle Zähne ausbeißt wie sonst in nem anderen Steakhouse. Die Ofenkartoffel war noch nie meins, deshalb kann ich da auch nichts dazu sagen. Ein schön gelungener Abend.

Warscheinlich würden die meisten eine schlechtere Bewertung geben. Wir haben unser Essen leider im Kern noch kalt bekommen ( Steaks waren medium, rare bestellt ). Nach kurzem Gespräch mit der Kellnerin wurden OHNE Augen Rollen oder eine andere negative Reaktion, unser Steaks nachgegrillt. Das dauerte keine 2 Minuten. Es gab sogar noch neue Beilagen damit nichts kalt serviert wird.... so kann Service auch gehen. Es war wirklich super. Kompliment an das ganze Team! 👍👍👍

Gutes Steakhaus, gewohnt gute Qualität von netten Personal serviert bekommen. Steak wurde wie bestellt, Medium gebraten serviert. Beilagen und Salate waren ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft. Kurze Wartezeiten trotz gut besetztem Restaurant.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Sowohl der freundliche Service, als auch die hervorragenden Speisen fanden unseren Gefallen. Wir hatten ein Rib-Eye Mastercut und ein Hüftsteak. Dazu ein Glas argentinischen Malbec, der mir ebenfalls gefiel.

Es ist wie immer ein absolut perfektes Essen. Sehr gerne wieder.

War vor 2 tagen dort essen, tbone Steak bestellt (Medium) war nichtmal ansatzweise medium. Am ende kam die Rechnung restgeld wurde nichtmal gegeben einfach behalten. Kann ich nicht weiter empfehlen werde auch nicht mehr kommen. Schade an sich eine schöne ambiente Aber Personal katastrophal!

Leider nicht mal ein Stern wert. War heute mit meinem Mann essen, auf dem Teller mit den Ofenkartoffeln waren Barthaare.. Das TBone Steak wurde Medium bestellt kam jedoch komplett roh an. Überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen!

I've been to Blockhouse in several locations and I simply love the style of the place, and this one was no exception! You can always rely on the food being excellent. We mainly come here for the great steak, but they also handled my child's gluten intolerance perfectly. Many thanks for that! 👍🏻 What I absolutely must emphasize, and what made our stay so special, was the fantastic service. It was friendly and attentive without being intrusive… genuine, not at all forced… simply incredibly pleasant. All in all, we were extremely satisfied!!!

I've been going there occasionally for steak for many years and have always been satisfied. I really appreciate the straightforward concept and the consistent quality, from the salads to the steaks. The staff has always been friendly and professional.

The food was okay, but a bit pricey. We paid almost €70 for two people with drinks for a basic meal (a burger and soup). A bit steep! The service was provided by young, friendly people who spoke good German. A real treat. The ambiance, i.e., the decor, was a bit dark and dated.

Everything here is just perfect. In Germany's service desert, it's a real treat to experience such friendly staff. The prices are still quite reasonable compared to other steakhouses. We were surprised with a truly wonderful experience for one of our group's birthdays. What exactly? Go there on your birthday and enjoy it! 🤩 Our waitress Michelle was exceptional from the first to the last second.

We went to Block House Augsburg (Ulrichsplatz) for our Christmas party in 2025. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. There were hairs in one of our dishes – they definitely didn't come from us, yet we were held responsible. The food was supposed to be replaced, but the way they handled it was anything but professional. The "burger" we ordered, as described on the menu, turned out to be an overpriced meat patty with fries – also not a highlight. They offered to replace it as well, but without any real understanding. After we complained, the service became increasingly unfriendly, with annoyed expressions and a lack of professionalism. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant evening and we unfortunately wouldn't recommend it.

We recently visited Block House in Augsburg again. A reservation wasn't necessary; the woman on the phone said they always have room for two. The welcome was very friendly, and the waiter was very efficient. The menu and drinks arrived quickly. We opted for the Block House meal deal with rump steak. The salad was fresh with a delicious dressing. The steak was cooked to perfection. The baked potato with sour cream was excellent, and the garlic baguette was wonderfully fresh and crusty. Something that's always very important to me: the restrooms were spotless. In short, everything was perfect, and we'll gladly return.

I was really disappointed with my visit to Block House Augsburg. The food arrived completely cold and the wrong order was wrong – and instead of apologizing, the owner was extremely disrespectful and unfriendly. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Never again!

We thought the ambiance, service, and food would be great here. However, none of these things were true. The service is abysmal, and when I get my steak English at a steakhouse even though I order it medium, I question the entire concept of this restaurant.

Steak wasn't good. Medium was delivered medium rare. And medium rare was delivered rare. You always had to call for service even though the place wasn't full. The main course was served even though all the plates from the appetizer were still there, meaning there was no room. The soup was okay but not great. This was our first time there (with 9 people) to try it out, and it will also be our last.

Extremely tasty food, very reasonable prices, and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I recently had a totally disappointing experience at The Place Restaurant. The manager—that guy in a suit—completely messed up our order by completely forgetting one of the main courses. We didn't realize it until my guest had already finished their meal. When we asked about it, he simply told us it hadn't been ordered. Sure, mistakes happen, and you can overlook something, but the way he handled it was really awful—he basically blamed us, as if we hadn't ordered it correctly. His attempts at justification came across as completely wrong and unprofessional. A simple apology would have made the whole thing much better. For a relatively expensive restaurant like this, where people go primarily for the good service, this was a huge disappointment. Add to that the way he interacted with his colleagues and other guests, which didn't help matters. We ended up ordering the dish again, and it took another 30 minutes for it to finally arrive.

We stopped here in Augsburg for one night on the way to Munich and decided that we'd stop here for food. My husband had steak and I had the goulash soup...at last something with a little spice, it was delicious. To top it all they sell a lovely NZ Marlborough sauvignon. I had the strudel for pudding...also delicious. Would highly recommend

I visited the Block House Augsburg with my family in September 2025. The restaurant is beautifully and comfortably furnished – dark colors and a sophisticated ambiance immediately create a pleasant atmosphere. I particularly like the open kitchen: you can watch the steaks being cooked. The kitchen gives a clean and professional impression. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The service team was consistently friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home. A restaurant in Augsburg that we can definitely recommend – we would gladly return.

The food was truly very good, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the overall impression was significantly dampened by the service staff. Arrogant, listless, and unfriendly – ​​that's exactly how it came across. At these prices, I expect a friendly welcome and service that does justice to the good food. Great location, very friendly service. Unfortunately, my medium-rare beef patty was fried or grilled well done. And the turkey on my wife's salad was grilled completely dry. It's unfortunate, because the meat generally had a good flavor. But if the chef or griller doesn't prepare it properly, it's unfortunately not recommended.

The food was good, as always, at the Blockhaus. However, the service was very poor. We went on a Friday evening, and the restaurant was half empty inside and out. We had to beg for a menu and also for permission to order, and were largely ignored as guests. The other tables had a similar experience. It's a real shame – this urgently needs to be improved!

The waiter was very friendly and extremely attentive. The menu arrived quickly, and the drinks order was taken promptly. The rump steak itself was okay, but nothing exceptional. The baked potato was unfortunately cold inside, but the waiter would have easily given me a new one. The side salad was good and plentiful; all in all, I was satisfied with the meal. However, I find a 0.45l passion fruit spritzer for €6.70 a bit too much. I'm not sure if I'll come here again.

If you love meat and good food, and a modern, rustic ambiance, you'll find what you're looking for at the Blockhaus. A well-structured menu at reasonable prices, attentive, very friendly, and prompt service, good advice, and no long wait times make your visit a special experience. We were treated to a perfectly cooked ribeye steak, accompanied by a delicious salad with a variety of dressings, and there was also something for those with a smaller appetite. Requests are always catered for. It was a delight and an experience. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back. Thank you for the wonderful time we had here.

The young waitress was truly excellent, very dedicated and friendly. 10/10 The manager, Mr. Dietz, was also a very good, pleasant, and dedicated host; as a restaurateur, you have absolutely nothing to complain about. The food was, as always, super fresh and cooked to perfection.

A thoroughly successful evening We celebrated my wife's birthday here and were absolutely thrilled. When our friendly waiter, Jacob, found out about the occasion, he immediately surprised us all with a glass of sparkling wine – a lovely and thoughtful gesture. The service was excellent overall: friendly, prompt, and very attentive. Everyone loved the food, too – both in terms of taste and presentation. A lovely evening in a pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

The portions have shrunk considerably and the prices have become extremely expensive

It's fascinating that you can see so much through the open kitchen and, surprisingly, no "cooking smell" wafts into the restaurant. Unfortunately, this also reveals that almost everything is pre-portioned and vacuum-sealed. Each portion of potato gratin is individually vacuum-sealed and then reheated (sorry, but I can do that at home). Each portion of sauce is packaged in a small bag, and each piece of meat is individually vacuum-sealed. To prepare a main course, 3-4 vacuum-sealed bags were simply cut open and thrown away (not exactly environmentally friendly). My baked potato was badly burnt, very dry (despite the added sour cream), and cold. The rump steak was (for one of those) very marbled. The garlic bread and dessert were truly delicious. However, there was some confusion here; the blackboard in the restaurant listed chocolate lava cake with blueberry topping and vanilla ice cream, while the dessert menu listed it without ice cream, but with whipped cream. So, I ordered ice cream separately (and paid extra, of course). The blueberry topping was also (unannounced) a cherry topping (which I personally don't mind, but is certainly interesting for allergy sufferers). The main course could have been more substantial for the price; none of us were filled. The drink prices are outrageous: €6.90 for a 0.45L fruit juice spritzer! The salad buffet looks nice, but you don't help yourself; the salad is freshly prepared by the staff and brought to your table. Although the restaurant was not even half full, the service staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and stressed.

We stopped in Ausburg overnight and went to the Block House for our evening meal. I had the vegetable linguine and my husband had the fillet steak. Both meals were delicious and beautifully presented. I have never tasted better linguine than this, just enough veg, red onion, red and yellow peppers, mange tout and garlic, over home made pasta - delicious! Hubby said his steak was also well prepared and tasted good. Friendly staff here too and lovely atmosphere.

A restaurant with an American feel right on Augsburg's main street, excellent meat, and exquisite service. I'll go back... today was very bad... I ordered duck and two small pieces of meat in a sea of ​​lettuce and lamb's lettuce. The best part was the sour sauce. If I could give more than 5 stars for the service, I would. We were served by Van, a very friendly and dedicated waiter who made the evening a truly memorable one. The food was incredible, but compared to the service, it's not even worth mentioning. It's definitely worth it.

Fastest service in Augsburg 😁 After just 20 minutes, we'd both devoured our steaks and emptied half a bottle. I can't even begin to mention how charming and attentive all the service staff were! Thank you so much for a lovely evening!

The food was okay. I was served quickly, and my order was also served quickly. However, as far as I understand, it's part of the process to be asked every now and then if you'd like anything else or if everything's okay. Unfortunately, this was another case of "food is served, and from then on, the customer is invisible."

We visited the restaurant on June 7, 2025, with my Rhodesian Ridgeback. It's a dog-friendly institution; the giant disappeared under the table. :) Jakob's service is impeccable. Very good quality meat, which sets the standard for restaurants at this price. The cozy BLOCK HOUSE interior is typical! Highly recommended.

Mr. Van served us very attentively and courteously today. Thank you so much for that. The Block House Augsburg is very clean, and all the staff are very friendly. The food was delicious; the steak was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were buttery soft (in a good way), and the sauces were delicious. Mr. Van even left a bowl of sour cream on my plate when I was running low. Mr. Van, the best man! And at the end, there was even a large gummy bear by the door – the highlight for my wife. We'll definitely be back!

The Block House is an established restaurant with a smooth flow. The service is impressively attentive and friendly. The ordered dishes were served promptly. The value for money is decent. The steaks were good, although they lacked that final touch to achieve top marks. The same applies to the ambiance inside. The dining room feels a bit gloomy.

Waited 30 minutes and no one came to our table! Catastrophe never again

You are not recognized as a guest, you have to look for the waiter, 30' is not enough for him to come to the table.

The food was very tasty, the service was nice and friendly. Everything was clean and we were very satisfied.

First, the positive. The food was delicious, the steak was cooked to the right degree and the meat was of really great quality. The price is also more than reasonable. Unfortunately, the experience was still not entirely satisfactory. We had made a reservation and when we arrived our waiter took us to the place. But then the discussion began. Apparently another waiter promised seats to a group of 20 1.5 hours later and they wanted to sit us at a table for 6 (we were 8 people). We politely declined. We didn't want to promise whether we would be finished after 1.5 hours. After all, it's not fast food and a steak house should be an experience. It was then decided that we could stay seated, but unfortunately we had to see that our waiter got into trouble even though he didn't do anything wrong. This one waiter was also the only one who offered a smile. The worst part was the manager, who didn't raise the corners of her mouth for a second. I know that it is difficult to get trained staff, but this is something that needs to be sharpened up. Luckily we had the one waiter who was good. Because of the good food, I would still give it 4 stars, even if I had to think twice about going there again.

We were in the Block House for the first time on April 26th, 2025 and we thought it was really great. The service and food were perfect. We would love to come back.
