Beach House - Restaurant, Café, Bar in Cuxhaven

Today we took a break at the Beach House on our hike. Great ambience, very nice and quick service. Delicious food and drinks.

The location absolutely speaks for itself: direct beach location! Sea view 🌊 Service quick and friendly. Of course we also ate crabs for the price. Yes, people are aware of the misery. It was absolutely well prepared and fresh. Sanitary facilities OK. There are enough parking spaces behind the dike.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. While you eat you can watch the ships go by. Service staff is absolutely top and the prices are good. Everything was very clean and very nicely decorated

Nice restaurant close to the beach. Young, very friendly staff. Modern menu at reasonable prices. It's always well attended, so you should bring some time with you.

Great food in a beautiful atmosphere with exciting views, everything went smoothly despite the hustle and bustle on Sundays...

The vegan burger was really, really tasty. An option for jalapenos or other stronger chilies and it would be perfect. The fried fish is fried and not deep fried and is not frozen either. The prices are okay. We don't pay much less in the city.

We got a table two evenings in a row without a reservation, the food was a bit expensive, but very delicious, the staff was very friendly, the view of the North Sea was unique, we'll be back

A nice restaurant right on the beach with a view of the sea in Döse. Nice service, I was here last year and I'll definitely be back. Only the toilet at the back of the building is currently closed, a replacement is available in the container. I have hope that things will change again soon.

Great location right on the beach. Very good food - we recommend the redfish fillet with the extremely delicious lukewarm potato salad. Nice service and efficient service. Often well attended even in bad weather, but still quick. In the cold season, a cozy fireplace invites you to linger. Clear recommendation.

Good location right on the beach. Food and drinks are good, although not quite as cheap. The location is of course great, and the view, especially if you sit outside, makes up for it.

Nicely renovated beach bar with a good selection of food. The food was good, only the quantity of the side dish (fried potatoes) was quite small. Service was also good. Prices are higher than elsewhere given the sea view location.

We just had a drink outside. And that was all good.

Very tasty burger and attentive staff. Everything seems very harmonious and the processes are in place. The owner was very personable and tried to accommodate us even though we were there spontaneously and hadn't made a reservation. Luckily that worked and we had a very nice evening with live music and a sea sunset.

Very nice beach bar. When we visit the beach in Cuxhaven Duhnen we always go there.

Food below average, prices well above average. You rest at the location. But service was good.

I had dinner here with my girlfriend yesterday, what can I say...? One of the best places in Cuxhaven (we have been to quite a few in the last few years) Great staff - any special requests are catered for. The 22 euros for the “Holsteiner style” schnitzel are also completely acceptable! I can recommend it to everyone! ☺️ Insider tip: Cuba Libre!

The waiters were very attentive, they made an effort to serve me what I wanted even though I don't speak German or anything they understood, we had a good laugh.

Catastrophe. Wanted to eat something at 1 p.m. Drinks were at the table within 5 minutes. But only one condition that could take the order for food. After half an hour and waving several times at the waitress, we left the store frustrated.

The prices are clearly too expensive.

We've been there several times before, this time we just had a drink. Otherwise you can eat well there, whether for lunch or coffee and cake.

Formerly Behrens Inn. Today Beach House. And it's still great. Very tasty, friendly staff. Something more modern in appearance. A nice atmosphere and worth a visit.

Here we just drank something and ate ice cream, didn't eat any real food.

Great views and good food. Nice service. Visited when the weather was dodgy. I guess it will be jam-packed during hot summer days and vacations. Had cod and Kaiserschmarrn - I was full when I left!

The location of the restaurant directly on the beach is very good. The selection of dishes is small, but everyone can find something to suit their taste. I enjoyed it there. Prices can be discussed, but given the location and the quality of the food in an overall harmonious atmosphere, it's fine. The employees are attentive and close to the guest without seeming intrusive. There are also outdoor seats available to the left and right of the beach path. As a small special feature, the beach tram runs at regular intervals, following the beach path, right through the guest area.

We have a holiday apartment in Cuxhaven and a beach chair near this restaurant. I can highly recommend the Beach House (restaurateur Björn Holtz) both in terms of price and services, and it is always well attended! Long-time Cuxhaven guests still know this restaurant as “Cafe Behrens”. The location of this restaurant is excellent! Anyone who wants to go to the beach comes here.

Super nice location with a view of the water, if it is there 😉 We just wanted a bite to eat and decided on the toast. Very tasty, beautifully presented with a small salad and fine cocktail sauce. It also looks very cozy and clean inside. Not cheap, but ok for the quality and location. Very nice, quick service.

Everything is way too expensive! Currywurst 14 euros, they didn't hear the bang!! And the food used to be much better!

Great location directly overlooking the North Sea. Prices are a bit higher, but good quality and very tasty. We were impressed by the bowl and the house (fish) plate. Service was on point and always friendly. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Good service and nice atmosphere right on the beach. However overpriced for quality and quantity of food. We grabbed a fish sandwich after dinner because we weren't satisfied with the portions. Therefore no recommendation for dinner!

We always like to stop here after a walk. From cake to ice cream or simply a portion of fries or something to drink, it's all there👍

Were here for ☕️ coffee and cake 🎂. Nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Nice outdoor area. The cake was very good and the pieces were well sized. But the other guests' food also looked very good. We recommend.

Everything was very nicely done, the price of the food was pretty exorbitant!!! Baked potato with crabs for €20! Curry with salmon for €28.50!!! Sorry it does not work! 20% over!!! We are not in the city center here in Hamburg!! It's a shame otherwise very nice to sit and drink, but the joy of eating goes away there!!

Food tastes good, but a bit carelessly decorated and really expensive.

The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. In our case, a drink was forgotten in the rush and then brought immediately and no compensation was charged. Overall, great service.

We just wanted to have a quick coffee and ended up here. We weren't disappointed! Even if the prices were a bit high, the cake was too: fresh, juicy, unusual and really good pieces. Great! And then a really nice view. It doesn't matter if it's only 6°C and rather stormy, i.e. "truly North German". You can sit inside for that.

Location - TOP, price / performance - TOP! Baked potato with WOK vegetables and matjes housewife style with fried potatoes simply delicious!!! Gladly again.

Neuer Style und neues Ambiente, war damals schon gut, heute auch noch, schade nur das es nicht mehr meine geliebten Reibekuchen mit Lachs nicht mehr dort gibt...

Wenn woanders längst die Küche geschlossen war, konnten wir hier immer noch gut und preiswert essen.

Essen schmeckte und es war eine sehr gute Bedienung.

Was ein toller Laden! Hier stimmte heute Abend einfach mal alles. In den letzten Tagen immer dran vorbei gelaufen, hatten wir uns heute einen Tisch reserviert. Die Stimmung in diesem Lokal ist einfach fantastisch. Getragen vom tollen Ambiente und der fröhlich freundlichen Bedienung bis hin zum Umgang der Angestellten untereinander. Hier fühlt man sich einfach gleich wohl. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar und nicht überladen. Gleichwohl findet hier trotzdem jeder etwas für sich- Fisch, Fleisch, Vegetarisch und vom Snack bis zum umfangreichen Menü wird alles angeboten. Das Essen ist frisch und hervorragend zubereitet. Wir sind begeistert und werden bei unseren Aufenthalten sicherlich immer wieder einkehren. Ein ganz heißer Tipp für jeden, der nicht einfach nur Wert auf Masse legt (obwohl die Portionen durchaus reichlich bemessen sind),sondern auch Klasse möchte. Das alles gibt es übrigens zu absolut fairen Preisen, die die Urlaubskasse sicher nicht sprengen werden. Ganz klare Empfehlung von unserer Seite und schönen Dank an das Team für den tollen Abend. Nettes Bistro direkt an der Promenade. Zügiger und freundlicher Service. Die große Portion Milchreis mit viel Zucker und Zimt war die perfekte Stärkung

Wow,mega toller Style geworden. Uns wurde trotz Kinderwagen, Laufrad & Co ein Tisch angeboten. Wir waren beide Tage super zufrieden. Essen war sehr gut, Service war wirklich wie früher super freundlich und zackig,trotz vollem Restaurant:) Schön war es auch einige vom alten Team zu sehen :) Macht weiter so:)

Die Fischsuppe und die Muschel waren sehr gut. Dis anderen Speisen waren durchweg gut.

Tolles Restaurant am Beach (Promenade) in Cuxhaven Döse. Kurz vor unserer Abreise entdeckt und einen schönen letzten Abend gehabt. Sehr gutes Essen, toller Service (freundliches, junges Team 👍), super Aussicht/Blick von der Terrasse auf den Strand ⛱️ und die Nordsee 🌊. Tischreservierung ist empfehlenswert. Wir kommen wieder 😊!!!

Eines dieser üblichen Strandlokale. Alles ganz nett aber eben nur das .. Nix besonderes eben. Doch: Der Sonnenuntergang am Strand!! - Deshalb für das Ambiente einen Stern extra.

Sehr schönes Strandlokal, Kaffee und Kuchen waren sehr gut. Ein Blick in die Speisekarte zeigte eine vielfältige Auswahl an leckeren Speisen. Die Atmosphäre war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Wir kommen im nächsten Urlaub auf jeden Fall wieder. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
