Bamberger Haus in München

The food, the service, the staff, the location—all top-notch. The only downside: we had a table directly under the ventilation system, and it was uncomfortably cold. We reported this, and the staff member said, "Yes, we're aware of this; we've heard about it before. The restaurant manager will take care of it." Unfortunately, nothing was done, and we ended up eating in our warm jackets. My advice: if the problem is known, then simply don't assign that table or do something about it. As I said, otherwise everything was great! We'd gladly come back.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and it will definitely become one of my favorite restaurants in Munich. Not too crowded, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and of course, top-notch food. The steak tartare was one of the best I've ever had. Truly excellent. We'll be back.

We attended Oreli's magic show at the Bamberger Haus yesterday – a truly magical evening in an impressive location. The house itself is architecturally a dream: stylish, well-maintained, and full of charm. The atmosphere was festive and inviting, perfect for special events. Unfortunately, the parking situation significantly dampened the experience. We spent over 30 minutes looking for a free parking space – and that in the middle of the city, in cool weather, is anything but pleasant. For a venue of this caliber, a better parking concept would be desirable, whether through cooperation with nearby parking garages or clearer directions. In conclusion: A beautiful place with a lot of potential – but those arriving by car should have strong nerves or, better yet, switch to public transportation.

Always worth a visit, especially in good weather. There are also umbrellas, so you can sit in a covered area. The beer garden is beautifully located in the heart of Luitpoldpark. It has everything you need, and service is super fast, with hardly any waiting at the bar.

Biergärten in a beautiful park, accessible by the subway. The self service Biergarten is ok, the restaurant both inside and outside is very nice. Tasty food great presentation. The building is worth visiting...

We ate at the restaurant on the evening of August 30th because we were attending a family celebration. The waiter who served us didn't even introduce himself, so unfortunately I can't give his name. There were three waiters that evening, and we were served by the shortest of the waiters; perhaps that would make it easier to identify who we were. We were seated immediately to the right as you enter the restaurant. From the very beginning, I wondered if this man even knew what a friendly smile looked like. He was very conceited, as if he were the best and knew everything. Every time we asked him something, we always received a very unfriendly answer. The fact that we tipped at all was because the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service wasn't as good as the food. We would gladly come back, but we will definitely not let this waiter serve us again.

A nice location in a large walking park space. Good food (Currywurst, Pizza, Halbeshendl, etc.) and great Augustiner beer. The Winestübe makes a couple of excellent Lillet spritzers (berry and peach) that you had out to try. There's also an indoor area for colder months, and a playground for the kids. And no deposits on plates and glasses, either. How nice. About a 15 minute walk from the Milbertshofen U2 stop.

We celebrated our wedding at the Bamberger Haus in August and made exactly the right decision. The entire planning process with Julia was very straightforward, and we felt like we were in competent hands throughout. They were very flexible with our needs, and at the same time, we had the impression that the whole team worked together very well and we didn't have to worry about a thing. And the celebration went exactly the same way: the sudden change in the weather wasn't a problem, and our expectations were even exceeded – we had such a beautiful celebration with incredibly friendly service (praised by many guests) and a delicious buffet in a fantastic setting. Special thanks also go to Geno, who looked after us on the day! If we had to make the same decision again, we would do everything exactly the same way again. Thank you so much :)

Very nice beer garden! I visited with my family and enjoyed the ambiance and the food. It's also great that the beer garden has a playground, which even has its own tables, so you can eat right there with the kids. We'd love to come back.

During our search for authentic apricot dumplings in Munich, we came across the Bamberger Haus. The menu describes the traditional preparation with a whole apricot and a sugar cube in the center. We asked again when we made our reservation over the phone, and this was confirmed. Unfortunately, what we got were two very small apricot dumplings with compote in the filling, which were very reminiscent of frozen dumplings from Austria. The ice cream didn't seem homemade either. The apricot compote that came with it, however, was very tasty and had large pieces of apricot. *Apricot dumpling rant off*

The beer garden is small but nice. The prices for the food are typically high, and the beer is surprisingly cheap. The note that while you can eat your own food (it's a must, according to beer garden regulations), it seems a bit petty, but for fairness reasons, please buy it from the barman. Here, the motto is: Show character.

Beautiful event venue. We were invited to a wedding there. The garden was very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was also very good. Definitely recommended as a venue for celebrations.

A very pleasant beer garden in the heart of Luitpoldpark, best from midday on Mondays to Fridays—of course. A much more relaxed atmosphere than, for example, the Chinese Tower, meaning no racket, no shouting, and fairly reasonable prices—except for the restaurant, which, while classy, also has correspondingly hefty prices.

We were guests (4 people) on the terrace at the Bamberger Haus on Friday, August 8, 2025. The hospitality, service, and food were all top-notch. The table setting, and later, as it got dark, candles were brought to the table. Our favorite beer, Gustl, was nice and fresh, served at just the right temperature. We'd love to come back.

Update: We were there again in August 2025. It's still super cozy and simply friendly. The value for money is great. The Obazda (traditional Obazda) is incredibly good!

This was our first time at Das Bamberger and we were absolutely thrilled! The service was truly outstanding – we especially want to highlight the incredibly friendly and patient waitresses. We were there with two small children, who caused quite a bit of chaos – but everyone remained relaxed, welcoming, and child-friendly. The food was also truly delicious – down-to-earth, fresh, and prepared with lots of love. A cozy restaurant where hospitality is still a top priority. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

The Bamberger Haus has been my absolute favorite place in Munich for years – a beautiful beer garden, the best schnitzel, and great beer! I've spent many unforgettable moments here with family and friends, and the team is always professional and welcoming. Unfortunately, I've noticed that since this year, the Bamberger Haus has increasingly been reserved entirely for private parties during the week and on weekends. That wasn't the case before, and it's a real shame for all the regulars who value this special place so much. I hope this changes again, because the Bamberger Haus is a true piece of home for many of us.

The beer garden is in a really great location. I think it's a shame that non-alcoholic drinks are now only available in bottles, and you can't get a half liter of them anymore. It takes away the charm of a beer garden. I can get something in a bottle from the supermarket.

It's particularly noteworthy that the entire team, led by event manager Julia, always strives to fulfill guests' wishes and requirements in a friendly and professional manner. The Bamberger Haus is located within Luitpoldpark. It is easily accessible from the Scheidplatz interchange. There are three or four restaurants of various types in the surrounding area: a beer garden in the gardens, a fine Italian restaurant in the basement, a high-end Austrian restaurant on the first floor, and a banquet and event hall on the upper floor.

Great fine dining. Nothing here I didn’t love. 3 of us. We had Goulash, Bolied Beef and Mushrooms for Mains. All were great.

Ate in the beer garden today. Unfortunately, it was self-service, no service, no decorations, etc. on the tables. Only from 5:00 PM, then the restaurant is open! The beer garden was open from 3:00 PM - unfortunately, some dishes, e.g., half a grilled chicken, were unavailable or not ready yet. I was a bit disappointed!

We came here at 1st of may. For tourist getting beer was quite confusing and even more the location of toilets. Not even mentioning finding a table. But overall quite nice place to grab a beer and snack. Bonus points for having live band playing.

The Bamberger Haus is a beautiful villa in Luitpold Park and is a multifunctional gastronomy concept -Event location -Beer garden with playground -Restaurant with indoor and outdoor areas - and a nice little garden shed where you can definitely do well in a smaller circle Eat and celebrate On the weekend when the weather is nice, all hell breaks loose here, we ate in the restaurant area and were craving asparagus... For what happened this Sunday, everyone involved did a really good job. Food was good, schnitzel top, the tartare was also very well prepared and the hollandaise tasted really good. We went to the Magic Dinner - booked through MyDays - at the Bamberger Haus. The magic show was great and deserves five stars. The food from the Bamberger Haus was a disgrace for the price. The portions were tiny and the quality didn't justify the price. No participant was full. There was only one cashier so we had to wait forever to finally pay for the drinks.
