Everything doesn't seem very well maintained. The windows were very smeared when the food was served. Plastic cups for soft drinks not really clean. Tables are not cleaned. Weeds grow everywhere. Drink prices good. Food too expensive for self-service. Was better at the beginning.

We've been here several times before and have always been happy, but on this day everything was just disappointing. The waiter chatted too much at us at first, but after it became increasingly crowded he didn't have time for it anymore. We knew that the food here wasn't exactly cheap and that the menu was very clear. But this time the food was visually beautiful, but the taste was average or even worse. For the price you can expect a bit of sophistication but unfortunately there was nothing there... And that was the case for all of us! It was also noticeable that the two waiters always gave way to the guests. I actually know it differently, the guest should be treated courteously and not the other way around... The ambience was very nice, of course this is due to the building and the location, but it was surprisingly loud. When we wanted to pay, the waiter took a lot of time, he finally came after about 10 minutes and when we said that we wanted to pay separately, he asked us to go to the cash register (at the other end of the restaurant) to collect the money. I know that, if only from much cheaper businesses. In any case, we won't be going back here any time soon.

You can have grown up in Munich and/or live here, but it is impossible to know all the beautiful corners. Sure, everyone has heard of Luitpold Park, somewhere in Schwabing, or something like that. And then there is the Bamberg House. "Don't know you, gel" - so there's no way! There is an area with a beer garden and self-service, but also a beautiful terrace, which is assigned to the in-house restaurant. Unfortunately, dinner is only available from 5 p.m., but you can eat in the beer garden Always get something delicious hot or cold from the counter. But I stay on the terrace at a table for four and look at the beautiful building, then the drinks and menu. Of course, it's Augustiner's fault that the facility is so well maintained and of course also serves its beers. But if you can't do anything with the Munich noble brew, you can choose wine or non-alcoholic drinks. In any case, order the home-baked bread with pumpkin seed oil for dipping and horseradish cream for dipping. That was a bit of blah, sorry. Now to the food: absolutely top, fine dining! It's best to try the cheese dumplings and the porcini mushroom risotto (do half-and-half with your partner). It's hard to say which is better. Simply amazing! Even if you're full, you still have to order dessert (it takes a while for it to be served because it's freshly prepared): the apricot dumplings! Hopefully I was able to arouse your curiosity and treat yourself to something nice. ...oh, almost forgot: not everyone has stylish crockery (Villeroy & Boch) and matching cutlery with cloth napkins. The innkeeper obviously values ​​a lot...

I think we were ripped off. Went there with 30 people and got 5 snack boards for €450. In addition, there were far too few pretzels that had to be reordered at great expense. The pre-booked barrel was then €10 more expensive than announced in the original reservation request. The good thing about the beer garden is the Augustiner beer. I would stay away from the snack boards, as everyone is better served if they take something from the display for their money.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Bamberg House on two consecutive days - once with colleagues and once with a business partner. Both visits were completely successful. From the reservation to the end of the evening everything went smoothly. The staff was super friendly and accommodating - you really felt like you were treated like a guest and a king. The food was fantastic, from starters to dessert. Every dish was a delight and excellently prepared. The location of the Bamberg House is also worth mentioning. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, ideal for different occasions, be it a meeting with colleagues or an evening with business partners. A small note: the terrace closes at 11 p.m. due to the surrounding residential areas. However, this is completely understandable and did not affect our evenings in any way. I can highly recommend the Bamberger Haus. The friendly staff, the delicious food and the great location make every visit a special experience.

We were here with the dining class (evening newspaper) and got an excellent 5-course menu. Very, very tasty and the wines were also great. The service was very friendly and attentive. I assume that it can be easily recommended regardless of the eating class. August 7, 2024: I have to add to the review because yesterday there were 8 of us with the family (2 children) eating on the terrace. Wiener Schnitzel, fried chicken, etc. were very tasty. Prices are high, but that's what you pay for good food. I have to particularly emphasize the service, which was so friendly, calm and attentive that you rarely find it. The young man (unfortunately I don't know his name) and his colleague did their job with calm and charm despite the huge number of people. Bravo!

Disappointing Experience at Bamberger Haus Beer Garden. I recently visited the Bamberger Haus Beer Garden in Munich and was quite disappointed with the quality of the food in the self-service area. The fries were lukewarm at best, and the tarte flambée looked nothing like a traditional one – more like something thrown together carelessly. It certainly wasn't comparable to the delicious flammkuchen I've had at various fairs in the past. On top of the low quality, the prices were excessively high for what was offered. While I wouldn't expect Michelin-star fare at a beer garden, the food fell well below average, especially considering other reviews mentioning long wait times and inattentive staff. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the self-service area at Bamberger Haus. If you're looking for a pleasant beer garden experience in Munich, I suggest looking elsewhere.

We love the Bamberg House! One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Munich, centrally located but still quiet. Very good Bavarian cuisine, friendly and animal-loving staff. We can particularly recommend the snack boards as a starter.

First the positive: A beautiful beer garden with a top ambience. Lovely under the old oak trees :) and there is a nice little children's playground. Now to the reason for the 1 star: We were here with our department as a summer party... Each table was set for 10 people and we ordered classic and vegetarian snack boards. A pretzel was provided per person.... €15.50 per person was charged for a classic snack board! Yes, what can I say... What you often see in the reviews here is actually true: we were still hungry - including our girls. It even went so far that a few people got roast pork to fill themselves up. When this was mentioned to the landlord, we were told that we were exaggerating and that there was usually something left over. Result: over 50 pissed off and hungry guests. And an absolutely overpriced snack board. (155€/10 people... I get a lot more from my butcher) Conclusion: next time - if that's still available - I'd rather get a currywurst. You pay less and get full.

First of all the positive things: - Nice beer garden and nice atmosphere - clean and groomed - different options for seating (in the restaurant with service or in the beer garden with self-service). Unfortunately, the negative thing to report is exactly what has already been noted in several reviews and is unfortunately denied or explained away by the beer garden manager/innkeeper. We were there with a group of 50 people, everyone paid for a snack board for €14.50 or €15.50 (vegetarian). The food didn't come to all the tables at the same time, it was said that there would be snack boards coming, but they didn't come anymore. When we asked where the rest of the food was, the high quality of the food was discussed and it was said that that was all (and the price was justified) and we had just divided the food incorrectly (otherwise there would always be something left over). --> The result: 50 people were still hungry (If we had "just" divided incorrectly, at least some of the people would have been full) The request to the innkeeper/owners: - If the price is not enough to fill you up, please increase the price and make a portion that will fill you up. - Alternatively: You can see that we are not the only group that has this problem: please advise your guests better, after all we were in contact with you in advance. My conclusion: - Ambiance: Great 4 stars - Service and food unfortunately only worth 1 star.

We ♥️ BBH - our absolute favorite beer garden in MUC. Great atmosphere, super nice and courteous staff! Food is typical beer garden with some extra tasty delicacies. The snack boards also fill everyone at the table (even an 8-piece board feeds 10 people!), so I don't understand the bad reviews about the boards' price-performance ratio! Sascha, as the beer garden manager, simply has the place under control! Unfortunately I can't say anything about Ferdl, they're mostly outside 🫡 Greetings go to the entire BBH team! PS: Hopefully there will be public viewing at the next tournament too!

Visited with the company. Everyone had paid either 15.50 for a vegetarian snack board or 14.50 for a classic snack board. A vegetarian board came to our table with a little cheese, butter, Obazten and a zucchini. We were told there would be a traditional snack, which wasn't the case. So the 9 of us at the table received a snack board for a maximum of 4 people. Long story short, at least 5 people at our table paid €15 for a pretzel. I think €135 per table is an ungodly rip-off

!!! An atmosphere of discomfort and tension!!! Today, July 7th, 2024, we celebrated a small wedding with 11 adults and 5 children. Unfortunately, our celebration was marred by several negative experiences at this restaurant. The first problem occurred right from the start. The bride and groom ordered a New York cheesecake over two weeks ago, which the restaurant offers and which has great sentimental meaning for the bride and groom. However, on the day of the celebration we were informed that this cake was not available and only a regular German cheesecake would be offered instead. This was not only unprofessional, but also extremely disappointing for the bride and groom. Our waiter was a young waitress who was friendly and smiling at the beginning, when not all the guests were there. But as all the guests arrived, she became increasingly nervous and it was obvious that she was having difficulty serving two tables. The menu was simple and typical of Munich, with dishes like Wiener Schnitzel, onion roast and spaetzle. Nevertheless, the service was anything but satisfactory. No one asked for anything extraordinary or behaved rudely. They were just normal, middle-aged families. However, the waitress clearly had difficulty meeting our needs and appeared very irritable and angry. She repeatedly ignored orders and when called out again she yelled at the guests, including my wife. This made the bride and groom, who are very quiet, sweet and reserved people, feel extremely uncomfortable. After this incident she became clearly hostile towards my wife and throughout our stay she was either aggressive or ignorant. She spoke to us in a loud, angry and harsh tone, constantly making snide faces and creating an atmosphere of discomfort and tension. She intentionally forgot parts of the orders, causing guests to be afraid to remind her again to avoid further conflict. In the end we were served a burnt Kaiserschmarrn instead of the New York cheesecake we ordered. I personally only ordered an espresso which took about 20 minutes to be delivered. When the Kaiserschmarrn finally arrived and the waitress walked away, I turned around to see if she would bring me the coffee. She then shouted across the hall: "Everything's fine, you'll get your coffee." Finally, I would like to say that I hope that other guests of this restaurant do not have to have the same negative experience with this waitress so that their day or celebration is not ruined. I would like to inform the management of the restaurant that because of this disappointing experience with this waitress, I will never go there again and I will make sure that my friends, relatives and acquaintances also avoid this restaurant. I have been to many restaurants but have been served like this me for the first time and hopefully for the last......................................

The food is ordinary, nothing special, can't make Kaiserschmarrn or apricot dumplings, a lot of catching up to do! There's not much you can do wrong with the salad, except for the price, which is way too expensive. Service, oh well! Orders are taken, but we wait for over 30 minutes for salad, with bread not being brought despite mentioning it! As an apology, an espresso was brought for one person, even though there were two of us! Two small salads, two small desserts and two drinks cost more than €70, which is very disproportionate to the price/performance ratio! If you want to spend money pointlessly on bad food, bad service and wasted life, you've come to the right place!

A totally charming location with a clear menu and top quality. All the dishes we've eaten so far, from beef tartare, vitello tonato, schnitzel to cheese dumplings with mushroom sauce or goulash with napkin dumplings, all just really good! The service is also top and the price/performance ratio is just right.

Absolutely overpriced and not at all willing to cooperate if you nicely let it be known that something is wrong: The snack board (see photo, quantity was exactly as shown in the photo) including 14 pretzels should be enough for 14 people, costing €12.50 per person. It must have been a mix-up of snack boards in the kitchen. An indication of this: after a while, the neighboring table with 8 people received a snack board with twice the amount compared to ours. They were amazed at how lush their board was. The boss tried to explain away the situation by referring to the Oktoberfest. As a settlement we were offered Obatza and Brezn, which we never received. She gave us the feeling that she didn't care and didn't depend on us as guests...

Came across the restaurant and it's garden when walking across the park and was glad I did. Good food and a nice atmosphere sitting outside in the garden. Would like to go back to try some other food.

We were in the beer garden. Hardly any waiting time, delicious food and a great ambience.

Waited an hour for food, the order was apparently left behind and was only prepared when asked. One portion of the risotto only consisted of basic material, while the other portion had the expected additions. The waitress has espresso and children's ice cream on the house and tries to make amends. Unfortunately, for part of our group the evening was unsalvageable and the stay was longer than desired. Onion roast was good, schnitzel not particularly. Asparagus risotto partially incomplete, vegetarian dish unloving.

Nice place to watch the European Championship games. Lots of screens, clean toilets and delicious food. There is no street noise and the staff is very busy.

The long-touted summer festival, June 22, 2024, took place. Just not for the common people, the festival took place in a closed circle as a private event. Searched via Google and found: "Open from 12:00 - 00:00". Various old regulars could be found in a small beer/allotment garden. Not like that, we will reconsider planned visits in the future so that we don't have to stand in front of a closed house again. A new sign, next to a pretty ashtray, now announces that a "summer festival" will take place on July 20th, 24, who knows... And that's how it still stands today🥴

The self-service sign in the beer garden says: no cannabis allowed, on the grounds that the beer garden remains a celebration for young people and children. Alcohol and cigarettes are also not child-friendly. Same rules for ALL DRUGS!!! Self-service food wasn't good either, you can only eat the fries here.

The beer garden is great, delicious food, rustic and a small playground right by the beer garden. Prices are within reason. Can easily be combined with a walk through Luitpoldpark.

Various people are taken out of the toilets with aggression and physical violence because the security thinks they are the wrong gender. The toilet cubicles are unlocked by the employees with coins even though someone is sitting naked in them. The customers are then chased out of the toilets with threatening gestures and shouting at them. The fact that you have to queue for 30 minutes for a beer is completely irrelevant

What a gem! I have lived in Munich for 4 years and never visited this park or this beautiful restaurant with its quiet, friendly beer garden. I was here on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and was surprised at how many empty spaces there were and at how kind and friendly the staff is. Also, I'm not sure if this was unusual, but there were fewer smokers here than I see in most beer gardens. Very nice! I will certainly be back!

There were eight of us at the Mayfest in the beer garden and had to take a snack plate for €14.50 per person. Unfortunately the plate was far too small for the price of €116! When we asked if we could get more as the platter was actually only intended for six people, this was ignored. That was disappointing, especially because we like visiting the Bamberg House. Potato salad is straight from the bucket, unfortunately everything else is not of Bamberger Haus quality. The beer garden could be Schwabing's best - unfortunately it misses out very much

Not only Bambergerhaus and Bambergerhaus Biergarten are beautiful and cozy, but the entire area. The park is very lively for all ages and from the top of the mountain there is a beautiful view of the city. recommended!

We were at the Bamberger Haus for a family celebration with a larger group and had a nice outdoor space. The service was generally very good. The ambience is also very good, due to the restaurant's location right next to a park. The meal consisted of a rich selection of starters, main courses and desserts, each selected in advance from the menu. We had a reservation until 4:30 p.m. and wanted to stay a little longer. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible and we then had to move to the self-service area because there was supposed to be a replacement reservation in the operating area. However, it turned out that almost all of the tables in the service area remained empty afterwards. In this respect, the behavior of the restaurant here was not customer-friendly, especially since we had consumed very well. Therefore only 3 stars. Otherwise everything was fine.
