We dined for the third time (this event is once a year) as part of the dining class (5 course menu with wine accompaniment). As always, excellent dishes, good service and everything in a pleasant atmosphere. A recommendation.

We went to Orely's magic performance with a 3-course menu. The magic show was great, but unfortunately the food was small portions, so we had to go to MacDonalds afterwards.

Went to Salettl for coffee and cake today. It was extremely loud and therefore very uncomfortable. The coffee was good. We ordered apple strudel. Once with vanilla sauce and cream and once plain without sauce and cream. We were very confused about the bill. For 1 piece. (approx. 1cm thick) Apple strudel without anything to go with it, we felt that paying €9.50 was extremely overpriced. The waitress then said there was only one price (some people want it with everything. Some people want it without). For us it was a unique visit.

Food is good, very traditional but with a good level of refinement. The Kaiserschmarrn is delicious! I also need to highlight the service. Waiters are super competent and friendly. And regarding the Ambience, the house is quite pretty and the Biergarten outside is one of the most pleasant in Munich. Easy recommendation, both in Winter and in Summer.

Food was delicious, service was friendly and authentic and the house is beautiful.

Nice ambience and great service. Unfortunately, the dining class menu fell somewhat short of expectations: some wines didn't go well with the dish (Riesling) or were poor (Rosé). The food was very solidly cooked and nicely presented, but unfortunately not outstanding. The strength of the cuisine is definitely veal meatballs, goulash or schnitzel. I would order that next time.

Always worth a visit. Most recently in winter with mulled wine/mulled aperol and the 6 curling rinks (also just to watch). If it is too cold you can retreat to one of the many gondolas.

Absolutely nice service and a beautiful ambience (when it's snowy and wintry) almost compensate for the extremely expensive train rental. A suggestion for improvement would be to spontaneously leave it open longer on real winter evenings in order to achieve a better price-performance ratio.

Wir haben das Ess-Klasse-Menü bestellt und wurden sehr positiv von der kreativen und geschmacklich hervorragenden Qualität der Speisen überrascht. Lediglich beim geschmorten Kalbsmeiserl hätten wir uns das Fleisch ein wenig zarter gewünscht. Die begleitenden Weine konnten nur in zwei Fällen der Qualität des Essens paroli bieten: der feinherbe Riesling vom Muschelkalk , Fogt, Rheinhessen und der Weißburgunder von Kurtatsch (bester Wein des Menüs) überzeugten.

We were here today with 70-80 people for the summer party. We had made reservations in the beer garden. For 10 people there was a snack board (see photo) and 10 small pretzels (1.90 each), which was charged at 150 euros. When I asked whether the amount of food was disproportionate to the money charged, the manager explained to me that this was correct and that setting up, washing dishes, etc. also cost. Conclusion: Don't go to this rip-off shop again!

We were “only” there for curling, but would do so again at any time.

Really one of the greatest beer gardens in Munich, good food, good drinks and also open in winter. Always friendly staff.

The food is good. The service is friendly, but there are sometimes significant waiting times. The ambience is nice. Reservations are easy online for regular restaurants. You can now inquire about the events online. There used to be problems and ambiguities (you were also directed to Open Table, although reservation requests were only possible by email, which was nowhere to be found at the time, at least for the events relevant to me, and led to incorrect reservations). For special events you have to send around a somewhat complicated form with credit card details by email. It wasn't possible to make a reservation by phone. Which of course I understand at a wedding etc., with a meal for two that is no more expensive than in a normal restaurant, but I find it very inconvenient. Overall, good experiences on site. But dealing with critical online reviews is bad. Sometimes unfriendly and reproachful. Points of criticism are believed to be invented or solely due to the guest's inability to read the website. It really doesn't have to be this way.

Very good food and there are curling rinks

Wir waren als Familie am 2. Weihnachtstag zum Mittagessen hier. Die Location kannten wir bereits und sie ist wunderschön. Der Service an diesem Tag war hervorragend. Die beiden Damen und der Herr waren sehr aufmerksam, unheimlich freundlich und offen. Leider hat das Essen dieses Level nicht erreicht. Die Vorspeisensuppen waren sehr gut. Die Hauptgerichte ließen dann aber etwas zu wünschen übrig. Das Wiener Backhendl war allein von der Portion her sehr überschaubar, zudem war das Fleisch sehr trocken. Da halfen auch die Preiselbeeeren nicht. Auch die Anrichte in kleinen Schüsseln auf einem Holzbrett waren zum Essen sehr unvorteilhaft, gerade wenn man selbst nicht so groß ist. Da wäre ein Teller hilfreich gewesen. Der Wildschweinrücken war etwas zäh und auch hier die Portion eher klein. Da stimmte da Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ebenfalls nicht. Man macht mit einem Besuch im Bamberger haus sicher nichts falsch, sollte aber die Erwartungen nicht allzu hoch schrauben.

If you offer a small menu (I think that's a good thing!) with high-priced dishes, then they should at least sit down. We were a large group, but most of the dishes were not very satisfactory. In addition, there was a waiting time of over 1.5 hours “because we ordered 5 onion roasts”.

Very cute beer garden. Had a nice cold beer on a hot summer day. Also had their pretzels. I enjoyed sitting out in the beer garden with everybody else. Ambience was really nice.

We had a family celebration there and unfortunately the food was nothing special. Because we were a group, we were only given a very small menu to choose from and nothing that would suit Christmas - no duck, no goose, no game. The onion roast that 5 guests ate was unfortunately very tough - the fish dish was also just ok. Prices were rather high - plates were also nicely prepared - but unfortunately it didn't taste that good. Ambience very nice. Waiting time over an hour - that was too long.

Event: Christmas party Ambiance/service top In my opinion, the dinner portion should be viewed more as an appetizer.

Were there as part of a company party in the hall in the basement. The ambience and service were great. The food was also very good, although the dumplings were a bit too dry.

Nice beer garden with Augustiner. The food is ok. In winter there is an artificial curling rink. Very suitable for company events.

The occasion was the company Christmas party. With curling. Food was delicious. Punch and drinks top. Patio heaters would have made the stay more pleasant...

We were booked here for an event through Jochen Schweizer, unfortunately the food wasn't really spectacular but okay, I think that was due to the high volume of orders. Great space and nice ambience

Will be my favorite restaurant! We discovered the curling rinks! It's nice that there are big umbrellas for bad weather, so you can always play. Mulled wine etc. is available in the mulled wine stall. Perfect, come again!

Our company's Christmas party was there, the service was good, the ambience was nice but the food was poor. We employees asked us weeks in advance about the food (meat or vegetarian, one dish to choose from), which consisted of a lot of convenience food and was ok depending on your budget, but despite having ordered it in advance it was served cold to lukewarm I don't think it's possible, so only three stars.

Beautiful ambience in the wintry garden with curling track and mulled wine hut. However, the prices are very high, even a children's punch costs €5 and a bratwurst roll costs €8.50!!! Far too high for a Sunday family outing. Some of the staff were in a bad mood and not very friendly.

So so beautiful here - perfect for the autumn and Christmas season 🥰 You almost feel like you're in Vienna and the adjacent Luitpold Park delivers real Central Park vibes in autumn 🍂 The food is always excellent and the service is very attentive. A special shoutout goes to Samuel for the Kaiserschmarrn and restaurant tips ☺️ *It can get very loud in the evenings, but almost every restaurant in Munich faces this challenge

As a wedding photographer, I was able to accompany a wedding at the Bambergerhaus, and I can only say that I can absolutely recommend this location! The historic building has a special character and gives every celebration an elegant yet warm atmosphere. The architecture and the stylish rooms offer countless beautiful photo opportunities and make the wedding pictures unique. The Bambergerhaus is surrounded by a green park, which creates a romantic and relaxed atmosphere - perfect for outdoor couple and family photos. Another highlight is the kitchen: the homemade delicacies delighted both the bride and groom and the guests. Freshly prepared and creatively presented, the food here is not only a pleasure in terms of taste, but also a visual highlight. The Bambergerhaus is an exceptional wedding location with lots of charm, excellent service and an ambience that makes every celebration unforgettable. Absolutely recommended!

We had specifically made a reservation for goose dinner for 7 people at lunchtime at the fair. Almost all the tables in the restaurant were occupied, which is to be expected when you advertise Kirchweih goose food. After 45 minutes we asked at the bar if we could order drinks. The same thing happens when eating. After 1.5 hours we were still sitting at the empty table. Of course the goose was over, we ordered from the normal menu. 3 of us had duck that was so dry that almost everything was left lying around. The second star goes to the fact that the visibly overwhelmed service staff offered to take a dish off the bill when they saw the bone-dry duck. We didn't want that, but it was a nice gesture. In January we planned a company event with 60 people in the really beautiful rooms. We don't want to imagine what it would taste like when the chef is responsible for 60 people who want to eat at the same time and would like to go somewhere else. Addition to management's answer: I don't know how your restaurant operates, so I can't say where in the process the problem was. But you can be sure that the times mentioned are correct. Many other reviews show that you can expect a pretty decent standard on normal days. But if you accept reservations for a church fair goose dinner on a Sunday, then run out of goose, but instead serve ducks that are so dry that the staff offers to take a dish off the bill and takes an excessively long time, you can do that as a manager accept it without accusing the guests of lying and exaggerating. Not good style. I would be happy to answer your question about the other meals: it was onion roast with fried potatoes and schnitzel. Warm and not burnt, everything came at the same time. So without errors. Sorry, I didn't know you liked being praised for this.

Kirchweih. I ordered the duck. A disappointment, there was a gray leg lying lost on the plate; I was expecting something crunchy. Red cabbage and dumplings were good, but couldn't save the whole thing. Too bad. Was used to better things from the house.

Hervorragende (österreichische Küche) , wirklich außergewöhnlich gut, preislich voll und ganz angemessen, freundliche Bedienung, jedoch nicht mehr ganz aufmerksam, wenn das Haus voll ist, gute Lage am Luitpoldpark mit Parkplätzen, übersichtliche Karte, gute Weine, auch sehr schön aufbereitete Vor- und Nachspeisen. Publikum gemischt, großer Garten im Sommer.

A friend's 50th birthday was really perfectly organized. It took place in the vaulted cellar / Francesco room.

Top service, friendly advice and very good food. We had a company event there. From the initial planning, the flexibility for special requests, right through to the evening at the event: 1A service. I can only warmly recommend the Bamberger Haus team!

Was today, small portion, the soup was cold, some of the staff were friendly, one was very, very unfriendly, spoke to a guest really stupidly, just bad 😞

It's a shame that there are no vegan options, but that's one thing and I didn't expect it from the menu. But the fact that when you ask for a milk alternative at the café you only get a derogatory comment is a reason for me not to come back. A great location in itself, but unfortunately not open to different needs and you are not very welcome as a vegetarian or vegan.

We had an after-event from a research conference there. A real gem in Munich. Nice ambience and beer garden in a special location. The restaurant is located in the middle of the park and is best reached on foot. Anyone looking for a Bavarian ambience for special occasions is definitely in good hands here. Only the service seemed a bit overwhelmed given the high number of conference guests.

We had dinner with 11 people. 3/4 hour wait until we could order. Unfortunately the food was also cold. Unfortunately, our waiter was overwhelmed. Otherwise a nice restaurant, the taste of the food was very good.

Sehr nettes Personal. Das Essen war super. Wir hatten alle gleichzeitig das Essen. Und es wurde regelmäßig nachgefragt, ob alles passt und wir saßen nie vor leeren Gläsern und die Teller waren auch sehr schnell abgeräumt.

Great service at the checkout, but unfortunately the beginning was disappointing!!!! Visit September 7th, 2024 at around 4:00 p.m The service at the beer garden counter and at the cash register was really top – friendly, quick and attentive. The cashier in particular immediately apologized for her colleague's behavior, which I really appreciated. This shows what good service should look like! However, my visit started less pleasantly: When I asked a service employee where I could get a coffee and sit down, I was answered in a condescending tone: “This is a closed event, you have to ask at the front.” I was aware that that it was a closed event and there were no guests there until now and there was preparation and I didn't even want to sit down in that area. I just wanted to know where I could get a coffee and where there was seating. A simple, clear answer like “up on the terrace” or “across the street” would have been much more helpful. Having trained in the restaurant industry myself, I understand that there are good days and bad days. But if a guest politely points out that the answer was unfriendly, you should respond professionally. It doesn't have to be an apology, but the annoyed nod and condescending grin only made the situation worse. Such behavior reflects poorly on the entire company and the owners. It is important that in the catering industry you are not only technically good, but also treat your guests with respect. Luckily, the other employees in the beer garden area made up for it - they were friendly and attentive. Nevertheless, this first, negative impression remains, and that's just a shame because it spoils the overall impression.

We were in the beer garden, which is beautifully and quietly located next to the park. Great atmosphere, good food. We enjoyed the beautiful weather in Bavaria. There were many guests there.

A great place in the park where you can try authentic Bavarian cuisine and more. It was very tasty for me, when I’m in Munich, I’ll definitely come back!

Inklusive unserer Hochzeit waren wir heute das 5. Mal im Bamberger Haus. Es war immer eine wundervolle Zeit hier. Kellner immer sehr zuvorkommend und lieb. Das Essen ist sowieso bestens. Wir freuen uns jedes Mal auf einen Abend hier!

Katastrophaler Service. Erst nach einer Stunde wurde die Bestellung aufgenommen. Anschliessen weitere 75 min aufs Essen gewartet. Vom Chef wurde uns mitgeteilt, es sei parallel eine Hochzeit, man könne ja nichts dafür.. schlechtes Krisenmanagement!

Has exactly what you want in a beer garden. Play ground for kids, lots of different drink options, and quick food. Perfect for a day with nice weather.

Everything doesn't seem very well maintained. The windows were very smeared when the food was served. Plastic cups for soft drinks not really clean. Tables are not cleaned. Weeds grow everywhere. Drink prices good. Food too expensive for self-service. Was better at the beginning.

Ich hatte zusammen mit meiner Freundin einen sehr angenehmen, stilvollen Abend auf der Terrasse vom Bamberger Haus. Später durften wir im wunderbaren Ambiente drinnen noch einen Wein trinken, da es draussen zu kühl wurde. Der Service war ausserordentlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir bekamen gute Essens- und Wein-Empfehlungen und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
