It was my first time there and I was very positively surprised. What surprised me the most was the service as I haven't experienced such good service in a long time. I also found it very nice that we sat a little longer without feeling like we had to leave to free the table for other guests. You often get that feeling in Munich restaurants. The food was also great! The outside area is beautiful. We had a very, very nice evening.

The service is friendly, the ambience is great, but the roast pork was just mediocre (crust was tough and chewy, the bread dumpling was an indefinable something).

Cute and cozy bavarian restaurant with traditional food and some fancy traditional interpretations. Service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere is traditional and authentic and their home beer is tasty.

We really enjoy coming here. The food is good and plentiful and the beer is something different compared to the standard Munich Hell. We feel much more comfortable in the beer garden because it can get a bit loud inside at times. Unfortunately the acoustics are not the best. Otherwise tip top!

We ate here several times during our stay at the Hotel Marias Platzl. Great service, everyone very friendly. The food is also very tasty - and so are the drinks. The small beer garden is very nice, but you also feel comfortable in the restaurant.

After two visits, I personally find it difficult to find anything negative about this restaurant. The waiters are friendly and friendly towards the guests, even in stressful situations. For reasonable waiting times, the food and drink is amazing and the toilets are clean. We recommend!

Found by chance while looking for somewhere near hotel (Novotel on Hochstraße). Was able to book online with no issue. Arrived and warmly greeted and shown to table, even though 15mins early. Service was attentive, friendly and very good. Traditional dress for staff and interior trad-modern Bavarian. The food was delicious! Best we had in Munich so far. Great find!

Tolles Essen, freundliche Bedienung, komme gerne wieder

Good taste and quality is an absolute delight. Personnel is super friendly something you rarely find nowadays. Avoid the typical tourist and well known establishment like Paulaner am Nockerberg etc. try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

The taste of the food was okay, I had a roast pork and was asked if I wanted coleslaw, I thought that was always standard anyway, especially at a price of a whopping €18, NO the mini bowl of coleslaw costs another extra €4, with those Given the outrageous prices, you should explicitly point out that the price for the tiny bowl is added on top. Even a half for €5.10 is abnormal. Long waiting times, chairs without seat cushions, relatively poor acoustics. Once and never again 👎.

Hotel rooms: 4/5 stars. Very quiet, pleasant and everything you need. Most importantly: very clean! Breakfast: 4/5 stars. Here too, everyone should get their money's worth. Staff very friendly and quick. Wedding: As a guest, I was able to get to know the location throughout the day. Ambiance was great! The location is also great! Of course, 3 waitresses for 120 guests were far too few. For example, there was almost no coffee. If you were lucky and got a pot, you could drink it black as there was around 2L of milk for 120 guests. I found the food to be good in terms of taste. Starter, dessert and main course tasted good. In terms of quantities... well... we call it moderate. The ladies at our table would also have liked more. For example, there was a small piece of meat on my plate which was decorated with side dishes. Not really sufficient. But my food was warm and delicious. Service was almost non-existent even at dinner. It's a shame because the staff that was on duty was very, very nice! Praise for this! Oh by the way: reserving my room didn't work at all. Apparently it is difficult for a hotel when 4 rooms are booked with the same last name. So have fun to all Huber’s Meyer’s müller’s & co! All in all, 3.5 stars out of 5

Wedding in Ayinger in der Au (Mariahilfplatz) We celebrated our wedding at the end of March with 120 guests from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Ayinger in der Au, both in the hall, in the beer garden and in the inn and after this supposedly beautiful day we had the bill at the latest had a nasty surprise. First of all: The location remains a plus: The location is very clean and well maintained. Flowers and decorations came from us. Now to the individual points of criticism: There were complications when reserving the rooms. However, when discussing the details, we initially had a good feeling, which was confirmed at the rehearsal dinner. On the day of the wedding, however, many things turned out differently than what had been discussed in advance and will therefore be calculated differently afterwards. This could also be because our contact person left the company on the date of our wedding and information or agreements were lost. In total, our contact person changed three times. On the one hand, quantities discussed in advance at the event were increased without consultation and wine ordered in advance was not delivered as discussed. For a total of around 25 starter boards, €1,960 is now charged, which is based on a mixed calculation. An example of this is an appetizer board at a table for six guests for € 105. The dessert was also priced identically for all guests, although far too few portions were served. The highlight is the main course, some of which was served cold and did not correspond to what was served to us at the rehearsal dinner. After the event and upon receipt of the bill, we sought conversation and expressed constructive criticism: The host showed no insight whatsoever. We cannot recommend Ayinger in der Au as a wedding location. You can see in the photos: Main course meat for €31.50 at the rehearsal dinner and served as at the wedding.

Traditional Bavarian food of high quality, the kaiserschmarrn is outstanding

Unfortunately the food was tasteless and there were Brussels sprouts with bacon on the menu… but they were beans!! I asked and the answer - Brussels sprouts are out... I didn't know 😔 the service wasn't attentive because there was wedding planning at the next table, which was clearly given priority...

The only point of criticism that can be leveled at Ayinger an der Au is that there is a sister restaurant that has almost the same name, is part of a hotel with a similar name and is located at a stop that is almost identical to the one which serves this restaurant. But once you have found the restaurant, top service, a beautiful ambience and excellent, hearty food are guaranteed. The beer is also one of the best I know (insider tip: dark wheat!). My go-to Bavarian restaurant in Munich!

We stopped by to take a look. We asked to see a menu so we could decide if this was a place we wanted to try. We were told there was a private event and the restaurant was closed. Ok. I understand that. However. What does that have to do with looking at a menu? May or may not try again in the future.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Very tasty food and nice ambience in the courtyard. Plus an outstanding house beer, what more could you want?!

Unfortunately, rather mixed. The atmosphere is really very pleasant, cozy Bavarian. The food was also excellent. Unfortunately, the waiter obviously forgot a dish. When we canceled our order after an hour of waiting (in the meantime other guests who had ordered after us had already been served), he cheekily said that the Kaiserschmarrn was on its way. Mistakes happen and you can sometimes forget a dish, but when you get the answer you feel a bit taken aback. Let's see if we can come back.

Me and my friend love this restaurant! It was our second time here to have brunch, we ended up staying most of the afternoon. The food is very delicious as well as the w, the waiters and waitresses are very friendly! We will definitely be coming back!

Hallo, wir hatten zum Brunch gebucht. Leider gab es kein Brunchbuffet, und auch der Preis war nicht 25,- sondern 29,- EUR. Die Preise waren überteuert und auf die Bitte einen Prosecco halbe und halb mit O-Saft zu bringen wurden danach ein Prosecco und ein O-Saft berechnet. Alles in allem für uns ist das Lokal nicht mehr das richtige.

Es war ein wunderbarer Brunch! Vielen Dank für den lieben Brunch :)

Insider tip for one of the best, if not the best, roast pork in Munich. A great menu and good beer round off a very good impression in a nice atmosphere. Full recommendation! Prices slightly above average. Cuisine, ambience, service excellent and harmonious. Rustic/modern interior ambience and outdoor atmosphere for the summer with a beautiful, well-arranged beer garden. The service team seemed relaxed and welcoming even at rush hour. The Kaiserschmarrn could do with a little less caramelized sugar for my taste, but that's just a matter of taste, my wife loves it. Reservations by telephone are recommended, alternatively possible via Open Table.

Delicious food, delicious beer. Super nice and super friendly attentive service. However, I actually expected more for the price. Additionally, pretzels were placed at the table and it was not said that it would be charged if you eat it. A short signal would have been desirable. We thought it was included since many restaurants serve bread or something similar for free. Therefore 2 stars deducted.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, für diesen Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Beim Schweinebraten war die Portion ok Schweinebraten/ war aber sehr zäh und die anderen Portionen waren schon etwas zu klein. Wir werden nochmal kommen, vielleicht hatten wir etwas Pech. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit vom Personal waren spitze.

Very nice authentic yet refined bavarian restaurant.The service is very welcoming and professional. The restaurant is divided into smaller rooms, which gives a cozy, rustic style to the place. The food is very good, the dishes are nicely presented and the portions are perfect (not gigantic). All and all, a great place at the Au. Be aware: there are two different restaurants on the homepage, make sure you book the right one.

Essen war super gut, aber tatsächlich etwas weniger als gewohnt. Deswegen Punktabzug für Preis/ Menge. Alles andere ist top.

Der Service war hervorragend, dass Blaukraut hat sehr stark nach Stärke geschmeckt, und ich habe noch nie so große Kaiserschmarrnstücke gesehen.Es hat eigentlich ausgesehen wie ein großer Pfannkuchen in Stücke geschnitten. Ansonsten war das Essen sehr gut,die Knödel waren sehr klein.

Eine Solide, typisch Bayerische Wirtschaft. Service war schnell und zuvorkommend, Ayinger Bier ist nicht jedermanns Sache aber frisch gezapft vom Holzfass ein süffiges Bier mit Charakter. Preislich im etwas gehobenen Mittelfeld aber Preis - Leistung ist noch okay.

Schönes Lokal, aber Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht. Für 25 Euro Buffet haben wir uns sowohl mehr Auswahl erwartet, als auch wirklich „frisches“ Obst. Tomaten waren alt und Croissants waren trocken und nicht gut. 5,20€ für die Halbe Weißbier ist auch ordentlich viel
