We had a really nice evening, with delicious food and extremely friendly and funny service

The marinated roast pork was delicious with the crust 🤌 The apple strudel in the apricot sauce was a very good surprise at the end 😋 It's a shame that it wasn't on the menu that the coleslaw costs an additional €4.

Advertising brunch but only having three dishes plus white sausages on the menu is ridiculous. The portions were tiny but very expensive. And not offering a milk substitute these days is even more ridiculous. The only good thing about the brunch was the super friendly and attentive staff. Never again 👎

We came here for breakfast, and it was fantastic. For five people, we ordered two tiered breakfasts to share and two Kaiserschmarrens. Everyone enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the Kaiserschmarren had very large, hard caramel chunks, so you had to be careful how you bit into them. I would use a bit less sugar. The taste, however, was excellent, and it's great that they come with both applesauce and plum compote.

Top Bavarian economy! Excellent food - the schnitzel and the kraut were perfectly prepared and really tasty. Plus friendly, attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back.

Everything is amazing here. Food is SO GOOD, desert as well. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening - whether as a couple or as a group. We would particularly like to highlight the exceptionally friendly service that accompanied us from start to finish. We tried the heifer tartare, which was so generously portioned that it could easily pass as a main course. There was also the braised Bavarian Ox mayor's piece - both were simply extremely tasty! The quality of the meat was excellent and the portions were more than satisfactory. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. To round things off, we relied on the house's dessert recommendation: the pear and rosemary panna cotta with chocolate tart. This combination was simply incredibly delicious and a refreshing change. The flavors were perfectly balanced and rounded off the entire experience. That was fine dining in a tavern! We would like to thank you very much for the lovely evening and the great service! We'll definitely be back!

It was a shame I wanted to eat Bavarian on Sunday, the kaas spaetzle and a soup but there was only brunch. Then I got the chicken soup and I have to say it was beyond that. Paid everything and put it in the Schober opposite

Freundlicher Empfang, aufmerksamer Service, gemütlicher Gastraum mit angenehmer Akustik. Wir waren als Familie zu Fünft uns alle waren mit ihren Gerichten sehr zufrieden. Negative Bewertungen bei tripadvisor können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Münchentypisch sind die Preise hoch.

Generally friendly service and the ambience is also quite nice. For me there was Picatta from the pretzel dumpling. The vegetables were good, but the pretzel dumplings were unfortunately very dry. A little sauce would have been good for the whole thing. However, I don't think the price level there is justified, €30 for a Hoibe of beer, a double espresso and I think my main course is too much of a good thing. In total, an amount of between €20-25 would have been enough for the landlord to have something left. Too bad :/

We reserved a spot at 5:30 p.m. Nice sign on the door, but then a table was assigned almost directly to the entrance door, but the protective curtain couldn't be pulled forward. So we were exposed to the pull of the entrance door. The portions of food were plentiful, the soup came lukewarm and the rest of the food was rather mediocre. Our espressos were forgotten and only served upon request. The Altbyerisches Dunkel was delicious😉

Visit in mid-January. We felt very comfortable. The young waiter, probably a trainee, was very friendly and went out of his way to help us. The food was very good, the menu is similar or the same as Ayinger am Platzl. Had the obligatory tartare, beef roularde, plum dumplings and Kaiserschmarrn. Parking directly across the street. Anläßlich meines Geburtstages war ich am Sonntag im Ayinger in der Au. Schön die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich und wir konnten aus zwei Tischen wählen. Der Seevice war aufmerksam und schnell. Das Essen sehr sehr lecker. Meine Gäste und ich haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein besonderen Dank noch für den leckeren Aperitif, der war sehr sehr lecker

The atmosphere is authentic, warm and inviting – exactly what you would want in a Bavarian tavern.

Absolutely recommended, you walk in the door and are immediately greeted and seated by a very polite service person. Despite the high occupancy, the service was extremely friendly and super quick. Very attentive and highly professional. All dishes were very tasty and beautifully prepared. Only recommended!!!

Kaiserschmarrn beautifully prepared and served with applesauce and plums. Roast pork was delicious, could have been served a little warmer. Well, it's not so easy in winter. Very friendly service. There's a lot going on, the volume is still pleasant. Locally beautifully decorated. It seems very harmonious and has its own touch. Public parking opposite for 10 cents per 3 minutes - interesting timing...

We were there on Christmas Day evening. The gentleman who served us and the boss were very friendly and accommodating. Two young waitresses, a woman and a man, still have to practice being friendly. Since it wasn't our first time there, we were disappointed with the food this time. Especially at Christmas you want something very good on your plate. Goose and duck with dumplings and red cabbage were not that tasty and not very hot either. In the Kaiserschmarrn the sugar was so thick and burnt in places. Not fluffy, but thick fatty crusty pieces. I was really ashamed of the food in front of my relatives. I will never rave about a restaurant again and then invite you there for such an occasion.

Service not appropriate for the price level. Drinks and small items (such as a straw) have to be reminded again after ordering. A children's menu is available upon request. Risotto not fully cooked. New portion was good and al dente, but unfortunately much late. It's a shame that eating together turns into eating one after the other.

The service was disastrous. I had to wait half an hour for my two beers each. The other guests were no better. This was completely unacceptable. The payment process was a disaster. It felt like it took 10 minutes per invoice. For dinner I had beef roulade. Meat was tough and fibrous. Really not good. My wife had the salad with goat cheese. It wasn't fresh. Regarding the ambience, it was unpleasantly loud that evening.

The Kaiserschmarren is truly heavenly! MUST reserve in advance otherwise you will have to take the food to go

Unreservedly recommended! Great selection of food, and from 6 p.m. there is beer from the wooden barrel. The service was excellent on every visit, “restaurant” literally describes it, you feel right at home and welcome as a guest.

The atmosphere is rustic and cozy – exactly how you imagine a Bavarian tavern to be. The food is excellent, from crispy Wiener Schnitzen to delicious Kaiserschmarrn, all freshly and authentically prepared. We were particularly impressed by the selection of Ayinger beers, which go perfectly with the food. The service is attentive and friendly, you feel completely comfortable. A must for anyone who wants to experience Bavarian cuisine and cosiness.

We were a little late and had to wait 10 minutes until the waiter finished his private conversation. Then it said the last order for food was 5 minutes ago. Too bad

The Ayinger in der Au convinced me with its authentic Bavarian hospitality. The menu offers a good selection of regional specialties that are freshly prepared and taste great. The Ayinger beer, tapped directly from the barrel, rounds the whole thing off perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger.

El único punto es el hecho de que la persona que nos estaba sirviendo era súper amable (Perica está en la factura) ! El segundo para el sentado que fue muy amable en saludarnos. Y un punto de oro para la atmósfera. Gran trabajo con el decorador de interiores! Esta ubicación recientemente renovada le da la impresión de una cervecería moderna con un toque del encanto antiguo! Lo que hace - el ambiente en el interior es algo ruidoso, pero es de esperar en un restaurante de estilo cervecero. Están pasando muchas cosas y hay bastante movimiento en el reataurant. Lo que era una defenita que no regresaba era la actitud y la situación y cómo se trataba. 25 , 00 €; s FILETES VON LACHS (Salmón) UND ZANDER (Pikeperch) - Muy bien presentado. Sin embargo, las lentejas estaban a punto de enfriarse y el sabor del rábano picante era inexistente. Las piezas de pescado eran del tamaño de medio "billete de 5 euros" muy pequeño. Ver foto. Para colmo, el pescado estaba extremadamente seco. Cuando llamé al camarero me pidió disculpas y me pidió si me podían dar algo más. Y opté por una ensalada "Salat mit Putenstreifen" con tiras de pavo, ya que no estaba de humor para pedir nada más. Era bueno, gran porción y bastante fresco. También me tomé un vaso de SAU GEIL ROSÉ por 12 €. Un poco más allá Tenga en cuenta que solo probé el pescado (ambos) y probé las lentejas. Tan decepcionante. Cuando quise pagar, en el camino el camarero tuvo una breve discusión con el gerente de piso / camarera (Mujer) . luego vino a nosotros y nos aconsejó que van a quitar la ensalada de la cuenta, pero yo tendría que pagar por el pescado - Ahora me dices si esto es lo que llaman en alemán un frechheit! ¿Quitar de la factura la comida que había comido pero no la que no había comido y sin mencionar la menos cara de las dos? ¿En serio? ¿Por la cantidad de dinero que uno paga para estar aquí y luego ese tipo de resultado Gerencial? ¿Por qué no viene el jefe de camareros y estress y pregunta cuál era el problema? Por estos precios solo cabría esperar un servicio de este tipo. Después de tener una conversación con la mesa de al lado, ellos también estuvieron de acuerdo en que era muy incortés. Desafortunadamente le dije al camarero que fuera a hablar con su jefe y le preguntara qué cree que debería deducirse. Él se acercó no muy contento y sacaron el pescado de la factura, pero su actitud al hacerlo se podía ver muy bien que ella tenía un problema con eso. Después de ser un cliente frecuente en el pasado - no creo que id volver pronto. ¡Quería mostrarle a mi invitado un lado bonito de Munich y lo entendí!

What a wonderful English speaking authentic German restaurant. We did come at the beginning of October so they were wearing laser hosing not sure if that's all the time or just now for the special occasion. Had the schnitzel and the beef rib both outstanding and excellent. Also shared a salad which the vinaigrette dressing was some of the best I've ever had. Would highly recommend for the English speaking traveling.

Had dinner tonight, it was decent. It was expensive, I’ve had just as good for less. Our server, called himself “Adam”, on the receipt, he was very belittling. My husband wanted a large beer and he said they only come in small “ it’s an appetizer “. He then brought out large glasses to all others. He had us wait for a good 25 minutes with dirty dishes while he was happy to serve others. We finally got up and went to the bar to pay and he wasn’t happy with us, he made it very clear that we couldn’t stand in the pathway of the servers. Ask the bartender, he observed the scene. What a jerk “Adam” You could be a great server if you adjusted your attitude! I cannot recommend this restaurant if you appear to be English speaking.

It was my first time there and I was very positively surprised. What surprised me the most was the service as I haven't experienced such good service in a long time. I also found it very nice that we sat a little longer without feeling like we had to leave to free the table for other guests. You often get that feeling in Munich restaurants. The food was also great! The outside area is beautiful. We had a very, very nice evening.

Das Ayinger in der Au war früher wirklich eine tolle Adresse mit netten Sitzgelegenheiten im Sommer auch draußen. Die Karte hat sie zwar nicht verändert, jedoch erheblich die Qualität verschlechtert. Das Schnitzel ist mittlerweile ein Schnitzel aus der Systemgastronomie, was in der Fritteuse gemacht wird ebenfalls die Bratkartoffel was den Namen nicht verdient hat. Dafür 29 € ist wirklich eine Frechheit. Früher war es noch alles selber und richtig gemacht, so wie es für eine bayerische Wirtschaft gehört. Wir kommen nicht wieder. Leute spart auch das Geld und geht woanders hin.

We really enjoy coming here. The food is good and plentiful and the beer is something different compared to the standard Munich Hell. We feel much more comfortable in the beer garden because it can get a bit loud inside at times. Unfortunately the acoustics are not the best. Otherwise tip top!

We ate here several times during our stay at the Hotel Marias Platzl. Great service, everyone very friendly. The food is also very tasty - and so are the drinks. The small beer garden is very nice, but you also feel comfortable in the restaurant.

After two visits, I personally find it difficult to find anything negative about this restaurant. The waiters are friendly and friendly towards the guests, even in stressful situations. For reasonable waiting times, the food and drink is amazing and the toilets are clean. We recommend!

Found by chance while looking for somewhere near hotel (Novotel on Hochstraße). Was able to book online with no issue. Arrived and warmly greeted and shown to table, even though 15mins early. Service was attentive, friendly and very good. Traditional dress for staff and interior trad-modern Bavarian. The food was delicious! Best we had in Munich so far. Great find!

Good taste and quality is an absolute delight. Personnel is super friendly something you rarely find nowadays. Avoid the typical tourist and well known establishment like Paulaner am Nockerberg etc. try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

The taste of the food was okay, I had a roast pork and was asked if I wanted coleslaw, I thought that was always standard anyway, especially at a price of a whopping €18, NO the mini bowl of coleslaw costs another extra €4, with those Given the outrageous prices, you should explicitly point out that the price for the tiny bowl is added on top. Even a half for €5.10 is abnormal. Long waiting times, chairs without seat cushions, relatively poor acoustics. Once and never again 👎.

Hotel rooms: 4/5 stars. Very quiet, pleasant and everything you need. Most importantly: very clean! Breakfast: 4/5 stars. Here too, everyone should get their money's worth. Staff very friendly and quick. Wedding: As a guest, I was able to get to know the location throughout the day. Ambiance was great! The location is also great! Of course, 3 waitresses for 120 guests were far too few. For example, there was almost no coffee. If you were lucky and got a pot, you could drink it black as there was around 2L of milk for 120 guests. I found the food to be good in terms of taste. Starter, dessert and main course tasted good. In terms of quantities... well... we call it moderate. The ladies at our table would also have liked more. For example, there was a small piece of meat on my plate which was decorated with side dishes. Not really sufficient. But my food was warm and delicious. Service was almost non-existent even at dinner. It's a shame because the staff that was on duty was very, very nice! Praise for this! Oh by the way: reserving my room didn't work at all. Apparently it is difficult for a hotel when 4 rooms are booked with the same last name. So have fun to all Huber’s Meyer’s müller’s & co! All in all, 3.5 stars out of 5

Der Service war schlecht. Bestellung wurde zwar schriftlich notiert, aber dann passierte lange gar nichts. Die Bereitstellung der Getränke und des Essens dauerte ewig. Das Paar an meinem Tisch hatte eine Brezel nachbestellt, darauf mussten sie vergebens warten. Mein leeres Getränkeglas wurde nicht beachtet (woanders werde ich üblicherweise gefragt, ob ich noch etwas zu trinken haben möchte). Nach langer Wartezeit und Reklamation kamen dann plötzlich zwei Glas Bier anstatt dem bestellten einen Glas. Das Essen war durchschnittlich, Fleischpflanzl fad, keine 18 € wert, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis mäßig. Fazit: da gehe ich nicht wieder hin.

Wedding in Ayinger in der Au (Mariahilfplatz) We celebrated our wedding at the end of March with 120 guests from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Ayinger in der Au, both in the hall, in the beer garden and in the inn and after this supposedly beautiful day we had the bill at the latest had a nasty surprise. First of all: The location remains a plus: The location is very clean and well maintained. Flowers and decorations came from us. Now to the individual points of criticism: There were complications when reserving the rooms. However, when discussing the details, we initially had a good feeling, which was confirmed at the rehearsal dinner. On the day of the wedding, however, many things turned out differently than what had been discussed in advance and will therefore be calculated differently afterwards. This could also be because our contact person left the company on the date of our wedding and information or agreements were lost. In total, our contact person changed three times. On the one hand, quantities discussed in advance at the event were increased without consultation and wine ordered in advance was not delivered as discussed. For a total of around 25 starter boards, €1,960 is now charged, which is based on a mixed calculation. An example of this is an appetizer board at a table for six guests for € 105. The dessert was also priced identically for all guests, although far too few portions were served. The highlight is the main course, some of which was served cold and did not correspond to what was served to us at the rehearsal dinner. After the event and upon receipt of the bill, we sought conversation and expressed constructive criticism: The host showed no insight whatsoever. We cannot recommend Ayinger in der Au as a wedding location. You can see in the photos: Main course meat for €31.50 at the rehearsal dinner and served as at the wedding.
