Ayinger am Platzl in München

The service was very slow. Food was terrible, my risotto was not close to risotto. The hostess was rude. I do not recommend.

In occasione dell'oktoberfest abbiamo cenato presso questo ristorante cibo buonissimo anche se il locale era super pieno, camerieri gentilissimi soprattutto Matthias la prima sera, comunicazione perfetta senza incomprensioni per la lingua. Da ritornarci

Wir hatten einen Tisch gegenüber der Theke, durch die Livemusik war es sehr laut, eine Unterhaltung kaum möglich.. Das Essen kam sehr zügig, leider war mein Beilagensalat etwas sehr welk und nicht essbar. Es wurde ein Ersatz angeboten, aber ich wollte keinen mehr. Fazit, nicht zur Wiesnzeit gehen, laut, voll, die Mitarbeiter sind gestresst.

Posso capire che abbiano tanti turisti che non parlino tedesco o facciano fatica ad esprimersi, ma l arroganza con cui trattano le persone non è giustificabile. Sembra ti facciano un favore a servirti: ma stiamo scherzando? Cibo buono. Ci ritornerei? Non penso. Lo consiglio per il cibo? Per essere in Germania non era malvagio.

Wir konnten einen Tisch am offenen Fenster ergattern und hatten beim Essen eine schöne Aussicht auf den Platz. Die Kellner*innen waren allesamt sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten die Käsespätzle (sehr lecker!) und das Schnitzel (ebenfalls gut). Die Location ist sehr schön eingerichtet und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Hallo zusammen, wir drei Männer wollten bei Ihnen Essen und hatten einen Klassiker, den Schweinsbraten bestellt. Leider mussten wir drei diesen stehen lassen. Er war wirklich unter aller Kanone inklusive der Soße. Die Servicechefin war sehr freundlich und auf zack. Die Bedingungen können das jedoch nicht von sich behaupten. Insgesamt teuer, keine Atmosphäre und kein typischer Schweinsbraten. Es hat geschmeckt, als wüsste der Koch nicht wie ein Schweinsbraten schmecken muss. Das mußte ich jetzr einfach loswerden. Uns hat es insgesamt leider nicht gefallen.

We went here waiting to go the HB haus. (This is across the way.) Lilly, our bartender/server was awesome! She told us a ton about what to do and see in Munich! We even went back today because of her friendly service! She made us feel welcome -and was happy to see us a second time! We told her co-workers how impressed we were with her! Whenever you can come to the US, Lilly, we will be glad to show you Florida!

Wir waren rein zufällig hier, da der Italiener nebenan mit Gästen zu voll war. Und wir waren enttäuscht. Die Essensauswahl ist begrenzt, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Vielleicht war das Restaurant auch deshalb so leer an einem sonnigen Samstag in München voller Touristen am Marienplatz und drum herum.

This restaurant offers traditional Bavarian food either on the terrace or inside in a somewhat refined beerhall atmosphere. As it was raining, we ate inside. I ordered the traditional roast pork with dumplings and cole slaw which was a substantial dish, but tasty and well prepared. My wife ordered a more international dish of pork medallions. All this was accompanied by excellent beer (as recommended in the menu). For dessert we shared the caramelised pancakes with plums and apple sauce which was good but enormous. Service was rather slow.

La comida es bastante normal, las pastas realmente deben mejorar, el servicio es bastante regular, ojalá que pueda mejorar. La cerveza es muy buena sobretodo por las tardes que tienen directo de un nuevo barril.

Neat place. Less noisy than famous brasseries opposite. Typical Munich cuisine. Games provided for children. Very pleasant staff. We enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it.

Beautiful restaurant with a small outdoor area. We were warmly welcomed inside and, despite a spontaneous visit, we got a great seat. As a starter we shared a tartare, for the main course there was a small roast pork for me (great, unusual presentation) and meat patties for my husband. Of course, the selection also had to be a dessert. Never before have I eaten such ingenious poor knights! The pretzel ice cream took some getting used to, but the curd strudel was perfect. Particularly noteworthy is the great team; you can tell that everyone gets along well. Thanks to Mr. Florian for the lovely afternoon.

Sehr schönes Lokal, freundliches Personal mit gutem Service, gutes Essen

Elevated Bavarian food with an interesting and creative menu, with some traditional Bavarian dishes mostly with more vegetables and more vegetarian options. A wonderful alternative to the ****show of the Hofbrauhaus across the platzl but if you're outside you still get the people watching experience. Service was excellent and timely. Did a reservation on OpenTable but I think they usually do not book out ahead of time unless maybe major events (Oktoberfest). Also, kid-friendly with a kids menu and colored pencils/games. Didn't even mention the beer which is across the board excellent but especially the dunkel, the weissbier, and the cask helles that they crack at 6pm.

Ein gelungener Ausflug zum Mittagessen an einen der beliebtesten Orte in München genau gegenüber von Hofbräuhaus. Essen ausgezeichnet, Service sensationell und Preis/Leistung der Hammer. Beim nächsten München Aufenthalt komme ich bestimmt wieder

We loved everything about this restaurant- the only feedback is that it was a bit warm in the back where we were seated. Our server Paulina was wonderful! Happy and enthusiastic, gave us great recommendations. They accommodated my gluten allergy and everything was beautiful and delicious

We were lucky to get a table for two without a reservation. The atmosphere in the inn is rustic and cozy. The staff is consistently very friendly and attentive. The beers were very good and the food was wonderful both visually and in taste! If you want a schnapps after your meal, we recommend the fruity apricot brandy.

Love the fish fillet . Its skin is so crispy and fresh . The pork fillet was good and crispy as well . The asparagus appetisers are great & most important is the environment . Service was good and she tried to explain in detail on the food to us .

Great Bavarian experience! We ordered two kinds of fish, a lot of beer and wine. And the cherry on the top of the cake was schnapps with pears.

Great Bavarian restaurant and food

Ayinger ist die ideale Adresse für ein Abendessen vor einer Aufführung im Nationaltheater. Das Essen sehr gut, das Ambiente sehr angenehm und die Bedingungen schnell, höflich und super freundlich auch wenn der Laden brummt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

The beer is really good and the outdoor patio is covered by a canopy of large umbrellas. It actually rained while I was there but stayed completely dry. The service was very helpful and friendly.

Food good, pork tenderloin a little over-cooked, dessert very good, service a bit brusque and a little slow but typical for Germany, nice square to sit outside in, good ambience, good Ayinger Brewery beer (visit the brewery 1/2 hour outside Munich if you get the chance.) Might have been nice if the bar area had a TV for the big Bayern Munich match in town that evening, everyone was crammed around the Irish Pub next door which had TVs inside and out. Get a reservation if in season and weather nice.

Sehr gutes Bier. Die Tischzuweisung ähnelte einem Viehmarkt ohne nachvollziehbarer Logik. Suppe zu salzig. Knödel gummig.

Alles toll geklappt. Konnten auch 15 min vor gebuchter Zeit schon schönen Tisch aussuchen.Bedienung sehr freundlich. Extra Sauce kein Problem. Schweinebraten sehr gut . Jederzeit wieder! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Always delicious, great atmosphere, friendly service

Nach ca.3,5 Stunden wurden wir gebeten den Tisch zu wechseln, weil angeblich war der für anderen Gesellschaft nötig. Bei der Reservierung habe ich aber kein Hinweis auf eine Zeit Begrenzung bekommen. Ich finde es seitens des Ayinger Teams unschön.

Roast pork dumplings and coleslaw very tasty. The liver dumpling soup is unfortunately very manageable considering the price, but it was also good. Nice atmosphere, everything fits.

The service was super friendly and I felt very welcome. The cheese spaetzle with a side salad is highly recommended. Also the caramelized Kaiserschmarrn, even though I couldn't finish it in the end :D The home-brewed light beer was also very tasty.

Went to Ayinger, I told them frankly I was here for beers only. They said beer counter is full (beer counter can only hold about 6 to 8 customers), so I replied since the tables outside the restaurant are totally empty, I am happy to sit out there. They said the tables out there are closed and suggested that I go elsewhere eg. another joint, next door for Ayinger beer. Being a big fan of draught beer, and as tourist, we came a long way, 10,000 km to check out the restaurant and beer, only to be sent away. This is the first time I have seen how a proper restaurant choose to handle customers. It is a pity that their beer review are decent but as a tourist in foreign land, I would not patronise such joint. Hi Heiko Thanks for your reply. Of cos you have the discretion to run a restaurant of who and how you would like to serve as customers. On your reply, firstly your restaurant name is Ayinger Am Plaztl, which I understand Ayinger is the name of a beer and not some Bavarian dish name. Secondly, when I was there, it was not even 6pm/dinner time and your restaurant indoor seating was half empty, thus in conclusion your reply/ comments I would deem it as excuses. Thank you.

When we entered, there was no attendant at the door, waiters came and went, there were a few empty tables and we sat at a table. The doorman who came later rudely said that next time we should wait at the door and ask if there was room. I told him he couldn't talk to us like that and he kicked us out. Rude, rude, inhospitable receptionist. I think he's a racist. I do not recommend.

Ein wunderbares Kleinod mitten am Platzl. Durch die guten Bewertungen bin ich darauf aufmerksam geworden und anlässlich eines Städtetrips nach München waren wir hier zum Mittagessen. Nach einer sehr freundlichen Begrüßung durch unseren Kellner Dirk wurde uns das Tagesgericht erläutert. Wir nahmen jedoch aus der Speisekarte zum Einen den mehr als hervorragenden Schweinsbraten mit zweierlei Knödel und Krautsalat. Was für ein Gedicht! Super saftiges Fleisch mit einer reschen Kruste! Meine Frau hatte die Kalbsleber, die sogar glutenfrei, also ohne Mehl, extra zubereitet wurde. Gereicht wurde dazu ein Kartoffelstampf. Das Essen ist hausgemacht und das schmeckt man auch. Getränkepreise für Münchner Verhältnisse absolut moderat! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mein Freund war erst ein bisschen zögerlich wegen der Lage mitten in der Touristenmeile gegenüber des Hofbräuhauses. Aber grundlos! Schon der professionelle und freundliche Empfang mit unserer Reservierung war perfekt. Auch der Platz war sehr schön, das Restaurant ist nicht sehr eng bestuhlt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Service war herzlich, wirklich freundlich und auch das Essen war sehr gut. Ein rundum gelungener Abend. Ich kann das Restaurant mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen!

From the outside Wow, from the inside yuck, We were there on Saturday and I have to honestly say that I have rarely experienced such a bad restaurant visit in my life. The cheese spaetzle only tasted like nutmeg, the roast pork was more of a fatty roast and there was also an unfriendly service employee who probably didn't want to do her job. Once and never again.

Wonderful Bavarian restaurant where you feel very welcome. Price/performance is completely fine. Very good atmosphere that you would like to come back to. A reservation is highly recommended. Their own beer is very good and you should try several different ones because it's worth it.

Unfortunately I can't give it six stars. My young son and I arrived on a busy evening but they immediately tried to find a place for us. That was also found. The service was very nice and the food was delicious. We felt very welcome. Compliment.

In the heart of Munich there is this restaurant. Great location with nice view of the street. Indoors is superb, traditional and cosy. Food is excellent, very tasty and good portions. Recommend for traditional Bavarian cousine.

We were there early Monday evening without a reservation. We got a seat a little further back in the inn without any problems. That was perfect because we had peace and quiet there for about 2 hours. The food was very tasty & absolutely recommended. The service was also really nice and attentive. We'd love to come back.

A very nice hotel in the middle of the city center. You can't get more central than that. The old town and the highlights can be reached in less than 3 minutes. The ambience and service in the hotel were great. We were able to enjoy the peace and quiet in the hotel and the wellness area. The breakfast buffet was great and more than sufficient. The Ayinger Restaurant, just around the corner, is also highly recommended. Feel free to look at your own budget. All the employees are very courteous and nice. The whole hotel exudes such a pleasant scent that we found very pleasant. A normal room was completely sufficient for us. Enough space and a great bathroom. We can only recommend this hotel. I went without a reservation, but they said it would be available until the reserved guest arrives in an hour and a half, so I ate there. Haxen got sick of it and ate Schweinsbraten here and there often. Schweins Braten was very delicious~

Went to the Ayinger Platzl today and got a table early on Sunday evening even without a reservation. The food was very good, the Wiener Schnitzel was very tender and had a good taste, the fried potatoes with it were uniquely good. Service was also very friendly and the atmosphere was convincing. The prices are on the higher side, but the taste and quality justify the price. Overall, highly recommended!

The place seemed original to us although the spaces are small, I don't know if we were unlucky enough to find the least pleasant waitress in the place, but the fact is that we were 2 couples with 3 girls and they didn't offer us the children's menu, we had to ask for it because we saw it on other tables, the typical pencils and sheets for painting were brought only to one of the girls and when we told the waitress that there were 3 of them she told us that she had few sheets and that we should share, immediately other customers with children arrived and gave them all coloring sheets and a children's menu. I have to say that the food was good but the treatment from this employee was disastrous and on top of that she had the nerve to ask us for 10% of the amount on the bill as a tip, to which we obviously answered no. It was very unpleasant, especially for the girls who were quite upset seeing how the rest of the children could paint each one on their sheet and they couldn't. I don't want to think that it was because we were Spanish, since this type of place is oriented towards tourism, I prefer to think that this lady had a bad day.

Reserved again on the last visit. DID NOT get the table I wanted today!! Apparently no reservation!? Thank God Dennis ripped it out again!! We already had him as a waitress in December: amazing! That's what I stand for with my name (+ ex-job!! - Dennis knows!). Keep it up
