We were visiting the area on short notice and had reserved a table shortly before. Everything worked out perfectly. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was small but cozy. We had a lovely evening with delicious food at fair prices.

We were in Leipzig over Halloween weekend, coming from Rügen. We ordered takeout and were very satisfied with the service and hospitality. The food was ready within the stated time, and the portions were generous and very tasty. It was also very convenient that it was delivered on the way back to our guesthouse. We would gladly order again anytime.

I'll start with the positives. The staff is really nice, and so is the atmosphere. Now, the food. The food was lukewarm at best, the gyro was overcooked, dry, and burnt. So, I can't confirm the praise for the food. Perhaps it was because the place was packed. It was too hot and too loud.

The best Greek restaurant you can go to. Delicious food and a beautiful ambiance. Kostas is a fantastic host. He always makes you feel welcome and takes care of all your needs. The service staff is also super friendly. And the prices are absolutely top-notch. We always leave full. We're always happy to go there again.

We were at the Athen restaurant last night and were absolutely thrilled. From the very first moment, we felt completely at home; the service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. But now for the most important thing: the food! I had the gyro with Metaxa sauce, and what can I say? It was an absolute dream! The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and the sauce was simply divine. My partner had the liver, and it was also cooked to perfection, super tender, and full of flavor. You can simply taste that the food is cooked with fresh ingredients and lots of love. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back very soon. A clear recommendation for anyone who loves authentic and incredibly delicious Greek cuisine!

We had reserved seats in advance for the outdoor seating area, and when we arrived, we were immediately offered a nice table on the terrace. A short while later, the waiter came and took our order. We are always very satisfied with the food here and would gladly return. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Our order was taken promptly, and the food arrived in a reasonable time and was very, very tasty. Conclusion: very good Greek restaurant with excellent cuisine, we'd gladly go back! The ambiance was mediocre—a beer garden on the street with loudspeakers hanging overhead, surrounded by smokers. We waited an hour for the food, and it tasted so-so, the meat was of poor quality—only the waiter was super friendly—tried it, but won't try it again.

First visit = last visit. We wanted to visit the restaurant on recommendation. We were greeted politely. It took 20 minutes to get our menus and another 10 minutes for drinks to arrive, which, as you might expect, took a long time. It also took a very long time for us to order our food. It then took an hour for us to get our starters. The main courses also took a very long time. We noticed that people who arrived after us got their food even earlier. The food wasn't that great either. The lamb was tough, the chicken was partly burnt, and the liver was impossible to chew. There were other people that evening who complained about the food, and we weren't alone in our opinion. There was only one waiter on the staff who was really friendly and polite. We give him one star.

Always friendly and quick service. The people there are very welcoming. They don't skimp on the ouzo, and it tastes great! The food is always perfect, and even changes to the side dishes are easy and well executed. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the restaurant is well-frequented—and rightly so. The food is excellent, and we'd happily go back if we're in Leipzig. We were only there for work; we're coming from further afield. We'd love to go back!

We recently had a menu put together for 14 people for my mother's birthday and picked it up completely ready-made in warming trays. It was absolutely outstanding. Our guests, who are all truly spoiled, were thrilled! We are very grateful; we highly recommend it!

Unfortunately the food was terribly bad. After a culinary highlight I was punished with an absolute disgust for the palate. Not only was the meat spoiled but the quality was unbeatable. I will never go near this restaurant again.

We were forced to go to Leipzig for further training and found this excellent Greek guy (on December 17th and December 19th) We had to go twice because it was so good. Almost EVERYTHING is right here! The young man who served us was super friendly and very clever. When I asked how the sauce for a dish was put together, I was given the ingredients in the kitchen. Splitting the receipt wasn't a problem either. The food was outstanding! It is one of two Greek places in Germany that I know of where the Metaxa is so delicious. The ouzo has room for improvement, but is served very friendly and generously, so also a very positive point. I'd love to come again on January 21st!

Pure Greek enjoyment The restaurant impresses with authentic Greek cuisine, fresh ingredients and lovingly prepared dishes. The gyros in particular were a highlight! The staff is warm and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A real insider tip for fans of Mediterranean cuisine!

Very authentic, great value for money for the food

Even without a reservation we got a table for two. The restaurant invites you to linger and has a pleasant atmosphere. The waitresses were all very friendly. The food tastes really tasty (I found the portion a bit too big for me) but the price/performance ratio is good.

We got a place at very short notice and on a Saturday evening. That was really lucky, because the restaurant was very busy. Very mixed crowd, i.e. families, couples, older guests, younger guests. But the most important thing is of course the food. It came quickly and was very, very tasty! After asking, the dog wasn't a problem either. He even received his own bowl of water. Of course, the master is particularly happy about this! Thank you! We'd love to come back!

I was there yesterday and I'm very pleasantly surprised. Very polite service, I skip the free shot 😉. An atmospheric place, perfect for dinner. Speaking of the food, I really liked it, the salad was fresh, as if fresh from the farmland. And spaghetti, yum yum, I haven't eaten that good one in a long time. I recommend it with a clear conscience. 👍

On weekdays there is an extra menu with lunch menus, the moderate prices of which are very convenient for thrifty guests. All dishes, whether large or small, are served lovingly prepared in a very short time using fresh ingredients. Guests' special requests are gladly accepted. When the weather is nice you can sit in the shady outdoor area. With delicious food and drinks, the street noise can quickly be ignored.

Last Tuesday, my 30 colleagues and I were in Leipzig for a training course. In the afternoon we spontaneously decided to look for a Greek restaurant for the evening. We had chosen and requested the Athos. The restaurant agreed, we showed up and were thrilled. Everyone had a great meal a la carte and the drinks came quickly. The restaurant is only recommended.

I specifically chose this Greek restaurant because of the children's corner shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, exactly this doesn't exist and that was a bitter disappointment. The tables are quite narrow, so that a two-year-old cannot move around or do anything "undisturbed" at the table. We deliberately got there at 5:30 p.m. so that we wouldn't attract attention with children's noise at peak meal time, but there were still one or two annoyed looks. Unfortunately there was no children's cutlery either. Nevertheless, the food was really great and the service staff also tried very hard. Absolutely top price-performance ratio.

Gyros were inedible and the souvlaki skewer was also inedible because all the meat was tough. And the salad with the dish was very sour and had nothing to do with a Greek salad, neither pepperoni, tomatoes, olives and red onions nor the nice dressing found in the salad. The companion even went to the toilet twice during the visit 🤮 and had to leave the food behind. Please take the criticism first!!!!
