The food was sensationally good (buttery-soft grilled calamari with spinach and delicious appetizers) and the drinks (wine, ouzo, Metaxa) were excellent. Everyone served us with great courtesy and friendliness, and even when we were the last guests, no one was rude. It was one of the best restaurant visits in a long time!

A very nice and reasonably priced lunch menu. I had liver. Wonderfully tender and grilled to perfection. A complimentary soup is included. Not knowing this, we also ordered an appetizer; I had a feta cream with bell peppers. Delicious and light!

Unfortunately, the gyros tasted like the cook was in love. And the fries were completely unsalted. At this price point, they should pay more attention to the food in the kitchen. The portions are quite large, too big for women or children to finish. :) The service was quite fast, and the seats were comfortable. The noise level was quite high when it was full.

I've been living in Leipzig for two years now. I've been to countless restaurants, but this is the first one that truly fits the bill. Yes, it's not cheap! But if I prioritize quality over price, I'd go to a fast-food place. Yes, we paid €100 for two people, and it was worth every penny. Lamb isn't always easy to cook, but here, after years, I finally had perfectly cooked lamb again! The platter for two was enormous. The staff was absolutely unobtrusive—reserved as it should be, yet attentive. Requests were addressed immediately. The entire staff works seamlessly together, without any intervention from the owner. If you have the chance to look into the kitchen, you'll see that not only is hygiene top-notch, but communication without words is also effortless. This restaurant is worth every penny. Yes, it can be noisy. That's perfectly normal when you go to a restaurant that's usually packed and where people are talking. The restaurant must have realized this, because they don't play music, even though the equipment is clearly there. Thank you to the owner for this delicious experience in Leipzig. We'll be back.

I had made a reservation, and we were immediately greeted warmly and shown to our table. As soon as we took off our jackets, the menus were in front of us. Our drink orders were taken faster than we could finish choosing – and they were practically on the table the next moment. The food? Outstanding! Hot, fresh, incredibly delicious. Every single one of the five of us was thrilled. The garlic potatoes were real garlic potatoes, the tzatziki was authentic tzatziki with a pleasant aftertaste – simply fantastic. The service was absolutely top-notch: friendly, attentive, quick, and warm. My father accidentally ordered the wrong appetizer – no problem, he received the correct one without any fuss. Before and after the meal, we were offered a complimentary ouzo, and the children were lovingly given their own (non-alcoholic) children's schnapps. Everything was packed up for us upon request, and we even received an explanation of the Metaxa sauce – including a little insight into Greek cuisine. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and thoroughly pleasant. One minor drawback, but not enough to deduct any points: the restroom door is poorly designed – it opens directly onto the sink. If you're not careful, you could bump into it. However, this isn't the restaurant's fault. In conclusion: An absolute favorite restaurant where you can tell that the food is cooked and prepared with heart. Everything is just perfect. We will definitely be back – and we would have loved to give it even more stars!

If you're looking for authentic Greek food that tastes like your mom's cooking in Athens or Crete, Alfa is the place to be. Everything here is just perfect! The appetizers are a dream: The tzatziki is wonderfully creamy and garlicky, the dolmadakia with rice and herbs is perfectly seasoned and still warm. For our main course, we had gyros. Super delicious, thick slices with a tasty crust. In short: Alfa is, for me, the best Greek restaurant in the city. Authentic, incredibly delicious. If you love Greece, you have to go here. The food was really good, but then I had to really look for the positives... In my opinion, the whole restaurant is geared towards speed and efficient service. Anyone wanting to spend a relaxed evening with their family and enjoy good food should steer clear of Alfa in Leipzig! The noise level in the restaurant is like a cafeteria; the staff takes orders at the beginning and only responds when called out. Empty glasses are skillfully ignored... The tables are far too close together, so you can easily hear the cell phone noise at the next table. The salad was completely over-seasoned with the dressing. Since the dressing had already curdled on the salad, I suspect the salad was prepared that way with the dressing already on it. We definitely won't be coming back, as it's nothing but hectic and noisy, lacking in harmony and coziness.

This restaurant is the best Greek restaurant we've ever found. Reservations are highly recommended. We arrived two hours before our reservation, and despite the restaurant being very busy and the resulting hustle and bustle, we were greeted very warmly and given a small table. The menu is quite extensive. All the dishes were excellent. The wine list is also long and good.

The waitress who served us helped us with the menu, and we were lucky that she spoke Russian, which made our stay and food selection much easier. Great Greek restaurant with superb service! We had dinner at Alfa yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. The service was exceptional; several waiters were always friendly and attentive to our needs. Shortly after our arrival, we ordered drinks and appetizers. The drinks arrived directly at our table, followed shortly after by the side salad for the main course. While we were still eating them, the appetizers were also served, and we had barely finished them when the main courses arrived. Everything went smoothly and perfectly coordinated. After about an hour, we had eaten, paid, and left completely satisfied. The excellent organization and the relaxed, warm atmosphere are particularly noteworthy – you simply feel welcome. We would definitely love to come back!

The appetizer platter was very tasty. The gyros were unfortunately grilled too briefly. The Metaxa sauce was too tomato-like for my taste. The salad had too much vinegar.

The rack of lamb was so tender and flavorful!!! The pork medallions were also tender, and the gyro was top-notch! • The appetizer, eggplant and zucchini, was delicious!!! (+++) Service was very attentive. Ouzo as a welcome drink. • (-) While the outdoor seating is generally great, the chairs and table wobbled a bit due to the surface.
