We spontaneously decided to eat there, and it was a fantastic decision! Not only was the food truly amazing, but the hospitality, friendliness, and relaxed atmosphere were wonderful. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend a visit!

We discovered Anno through "happy cow" because we're vegetarian/vegan, and it's often difficult to find restaurants with this kind of menu by the sea. We were thrilled from the very first moment: The ambiance was like a restaurant in Austria, very cozy! We started with the vegan "Bseckfisch" (a type of fish) with fried potatoes and vegan aioli. It was a really good portion (two fish!), and the fried potatoes were delicious even without bacon! The "fish" was a little too rich, or rather, the breading was a bit off, but that's really nitpicking. We immediately made a reservation for the next evening! That evening, we had a kind of vegetable patty and three different dumplings (tomato, spinach, and cheese). A little less than the night before, but still really good!! We were completely satisfied, especially with the extremely friendly service! 100% recommended!

It was accompanied by fried potatoes of a rare quality: golden brown, crispy, and bursting with flavor. To finish, a "Kater Hund" (a type of German dessert) – refined, delicious, and served with a touch of humor – accompanied by an aromatic espresso that perfectly rounded off the evening. The service is excellent: attentive, warm, and professional, without being pretentious. Here, you truly feel welcome as a guest. Tip: Reservations are highly recommended – the restaurant is popular, and deservedly so. Convenient: You can easily book online. A truly wonderful culinary experience – we'll definitely be back. 🍽️✨

We visited Anno 1800 on the recommendation of our hotel reception. The trip was absolutely worthwhile. Delicious wine and very tasty food. We had the shrimp as a starter and the plaice or redfish as a main course. We finished it all off with a "cold dog" (a type of chocolate cake) for dessert. A charming restaurant serving delicious home-style cooking, and the owner is incredibly friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

We were particularly pleasantly surprised by the selection of vegan main courses, something you rarely find in a traditional restaurant! 🌱 For that, we give it a full five stars. One small wish for the future: a vegan dessert on the menu would be the icing on the cake of an otherwise perfect visit. 🍰✨

Good food, extremely friendly service, quaint but not outdated ambiance, high-quality wines, but also very expensive (€9/€11 per 0.2 l, I find quite steep). We would still come back, though, as the "overall package" is just right. 🍷🍽️🍺

What can I say? This was one of the best restaurant visits in a long time! We received a courteous welcome. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit inside, but it was much nicer outside in the last rays of sunshine anyway! We were served promptly, and I don't think I've ever had a giant schnitzel so quickly. The beer had just run out when we were asked if we wanted another. They know their stuff here. We felt completely at home and would gladly come back!

The staff and landlady are very friendly, and the restaurant is very cozy, like a half-timbered house. If you want to sit inside, you should make a reservation in advance; otherwise, they don't take reservations on the terrace. So, if you're lucky, sit down and enjoy! 100% recommended.

We reserved a table online the day before (August 11th). All our requests were met. We received a friendly welcome outside the entrance. Plenty of parking was available across the street. Our waiter (Andreas), as well as everyone else we encountered, were incredibly friendly. We're not used to this level of friendliness and attentiveness in this "service world." They were particularly, and apparently, very child-friendly. Everything, without exaggeration, was wonderful: the welcome, the order of the dishes, the right questions, the attentiveness, the timing, the dialogue... simply everything. Unfortunately, the food was quite bad. The plaice was tough and tasted very fishy. The bacon on top was bland. This suggests that the fish was old. We complained, and were offered an espresso as an apology. We politely declined. We would never go there again. 🙄

Again and again! We spontaneously went to Anno 1800 with two children and luckily got a table outside. The waiter was quick to greet us and the first question was if the kids could have something to draw. The service was really friendly and attentive throughout. There was even a bit of joking. The food came unexpectedly quickly, and the schnitzels were very good and large (well beyond our plate size). It was also nice that they offered small dishes for the kids, and we were given the leftovers (without any fuss). After paying, we were asked if the little ones could have a small sweet. How kind and thoughtful. Highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were immediately offered a table. The entire team was very attentive, helpful, and incredibly friendly. We would especially like to emphasize the child-friendly approach: Our 18-month-old daughter was welcomed with open arms. She was immediately given a high chair, art supplies, her own glass of water, and even a robber's plate – simply fantastic! The food was truly excellent – fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. The prices are also absolutely fair and reasonable. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back. If you want to enjoy good food in Heiligenhafen and feel welcome – even with small children – we highly recommend Anno 1800!

A great restaurant with a special charm. We got two seats even without a reservation, which was fantastic. Food: (dumplings, pork schnitzel, and tomato soup) excellent, with portions the size of a construction worker. Price: absolutely reasonable. Service: neat, communicative, attentive, and prompt. If we're ever in the area again, we'd be happy to stop here again.
