The food didn't meet expectations or live up to the price. Uninspired, tasteless and served at wrong temperature (straight out of the fridge for some rooms temperature courses, or left to cool off to long in other hot courses). The waiter was very focused on telling us that tip was not included in the price. A lot of better places to eat i Düsseldorf.

I can honestly say it's the most perfect restaurant we've ever experienced. The appetizers, meats, and fish were all delicious. Özkan Bey's attentiveness and care made us even happier. The service, flavors, and service were all superb, and we highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be there.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner after shopping. I'm always very skeptical of restaurants that offer steak but also other regional cuisine. We listened to the chef, Muss, who recommended Turkish delight, and we were all very impressed. The meat is tender and everything tastes great. Great atmosphere, especially with the illustrations from the old days. It felt like everyone was doing better.

Simply perfect! We made reservations for 30 people. From the warm welcome to the attentive service to the food, everything was absolutely first-class. The dishes were not only beautifully presented, but also a taste sensation. Each course was meticulously thought out and harmoniously coordinated down to the last detail. Yesterday, we were at Anfora about an hour before closing time and still felt very welcome. My meal was truly delicious, but I would especially like to highlight Mr. Arif's service. With his friendly, attentive, and courteous manner, he demonstrated how important good service is—because it contributes just as much to the success of a restaurant as the food itself.

Greetings to Özkan Baba. The best Turkish food you can eat in Germany. The cleanliness is impeccable, the staff is hospitable. This is the only place to go in Dussendolf.

This was by far the best Turkish restaurant in Düsseldorf. The meat was incredibly fresh, and the cooking techniques were excellent. We extend our sincere thanks to Özkan for his hospitality and attentiveness. We highly recommend it.

Anfora is a delicious Turkish restaurant. The staff was friendly and quick. We had beans with sauce for starters, which were incredibly good. For main courses, we had a vegetable casserole topped with cheese, lamb, and eggplant with vegetables. Everything was heavenly; there was nothing to complain about. The restaurant is one of the best Turkish restaurants I've ever visited. Highly recommended! :)

Two of us with a small child visited the restaurant and ordered the Chef's Special and a children's menu (kofte) with drinks. The Pirzolla (lamb chops) are particularly special – simply the best we've ever eaten! The dry-aged steak was also excellent. The waiter's reminder that one portion is only enough for one person was very helpful – and it was true. We paid a total of around €80 for the meal. It's certainly a bit on the higher side, but the quality justifies the price. The atmosphere was pleasant, there are plenty of high chairs, and the staff were generally very friendly – ​​especially with our toddler. The ayran was also extremely delicious. A rather expensive restaurant, but definitely worth it. We would definitely recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's the most beautiful, most special restaurant we've ever been to in Europe. We loved it so much we went back the next day. We went there with my wife for our anniversary dinner, Arif Bey took care of everything for us, he was an extremely friendly and attentive gentleman, we were extremely pleased, the food was also very good, it is a place we will definitely come back to again and again when we come again.

My wife and I went to Anfora for a special celebration, which we made a reservation for. The food, the taste, and the price are all truly wonderful. I can definitely recommend it, but I want to mention that Arif Bey is truly invaluable. He takes care of you to the fullest, is always there for you, and has a solution-oriented approach to any of your requests. First of all, we would like to thank Arif Bey for his attention to us, and then Anfora for everything.

We ordered beef Turkish delight, kushleme, and spoon salad, all of which were truly delicious and carefully prepared. For dessert, we chose kazandibi, which was equally wonderful. The service was exceptionally kind and attentive; we especially thank Musa Bey for his attentiveness. This has become our favorite Turkish restaurant in Düsseldorf. We will definitely return.

A delightful place, delicious food, excellent service

The food is very average. The staff doesn't give you a menu, confuses you, and suggests that they bring you the food. Then they bring you the most expensive items in the largest quantity, and you are surprised by the bill.

It was fantastic. We were greeted very warmly right away. Luckily, we had no choice but to eat, and the food was delicious. The waiter who served us was ARiF. He was a great guy; as soon as we asked for something, he noticed us immediately. His tips and recommendations were world-class. As long as Arif is here, we'll be there at least once a week. The atmosphere was nicely decorated and cozy, but overall I wouldn’t recommend this place. We ordered two Izgara mix plates, which were very small for the price, €35 per person. I understand prices can be higher in a central location, but the portion sizes were simply unacceptable. Keep your prices if you wish, but increase the portions. It feels unfair to your customers. Also, the man who served us (possibly the owner) wasn’t very attentive; we had to repeat our requests several times and service was quite slow.

Only 1 star for the ambience. So the price-performance ratio is not justified. It's very stressful; the service wants to get the customer over with quickly, they don't take any time for them. However, they have extremely overpriced prices, based on the motto "we are a first-class restaurant," but that's not the case. It's not a Turkish restaurant either; a regular kebab shop has more to offer. If you speak German with the service, it's very tiring, as they don't speak German very well, and you're treated differently than your own countrymen. That was a lesson to us. More show than substance; only your own staff enjoys full service. Look for alternatives first before throwing your money away.

Unfortunately, our visit to this Turkish restaurant was disappointing. The ambiance was fine, and the service was friendly and attentive—nothing to complain about. The starter was reasonably tasty and initially left us hoping for more. We were disappointed with the main courses, however. They didn't seem freshly prepared, but rather reheated or frozen. My order of squid stir-fry was particularly disappointing: instead of fresh, fried pieces of squid, I was served breaded squid rings—it had nothing to do with a stir-fry or fresh cooking. We felt the prices were unjustified for the quality of the main courses. Overall, the experience was unfortunately not what one would expect from a restaurant serving traditional Turkish cuisine.

We particularly highlight the meze starters and the grilled lamb – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The vegetarian dishes were also creative and flavorful. The service was outstanding: attentive, friendly, and professional. They repeatedly asked if everything was okay, without being intrusive. You immediately notice the passion that goes into their work. The value for money is also excellent – you pay absolutely fair for the quality of the food and the excellent service. We will definitely be back – Anfora is a true gem in Düsseldorf.

We had a mixed grill for 4 people served on a wooden board, you can barely get the rice or fries off it, the vegetables were there, just 3 flat florets of broccoli, 3 carrot pieces and 2 leek pieces, mini breakfast plates on which hardly anything fits... parking difficult.

We even had live music...we were there with seven people...the food came quickly...it tasted great...we had shrimp for starters and bread with meze...everything was delicious...for the main course, we had two large grilled plates, very delicious, fresh, tender, and absolutely recommended...for dessert, kunefe was also very delicious and highly recommended... A bit more expensive, but well worth it...we paid just under €400 including drinks for seven people, we were full and would gladly come back.

This was a huge disappointment and I wonder how anyone can give it a 4.8 star rating. I love Turkish cuisine and have been served great Turkish food by very friendly hosts from Istanbul to Antalya, but this was the worst and most unloving Turkish food I have ever eaten. It started with the service, which seemed to have little time even though the restaurant was only a third full and wanted to take our orders in a hurry. Then came the mezze, some of which was poorly seasoned or unidentifiable. We received the main course at five-minute intervals so we couldn't start at the same time, and then the food was served lukewarm on cold plates. Everything was presented without love, the meat was cooked to death, the squid rings were dry and not tasty. No sauces or dips for the meat, just roughly diced vegetables, blobs of mashed potato and mounds of rice. The long-cooked shoulder of lamb was tough in places and didn't fall apart. The portions were small. You can't describe it as anything other than unloving, and at the prices of a top restaurant, too. It reminded me more of tourist rip-off restaurants in Paris, Rome, or Istanbul. €190 for 3 adults and 1 child. I was so annoyed. Never again!

One of the best surprises was that I later learned that my girlfriend also loved this place. We haven't been here together yet, but I will share this beautiful atmosphere with her as soon as possible. 10 out of 10 in every respect!

A highly recommended Turkish restaurant! The decor is truly beautiful, with the blue throughout adding a maritime touch. I absolutely have to highlight the staff here. They were so courteous and attentive without being intrusive. I've rarely experienced anything like that in this city. Although the restaurant was busy, we were served quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food. The portion was quite large, especially with the starter. The price was a bit on the high side, but for what you get, it's definitely worth it. We parked in the parking garage of the adjacent Edeka supermarket. Certainly not the cheapest option, but convenient if you're traveling by car.
