Alter Wirt in München

Altbayerisches Ambiente. Für Schiki - Miki - Prosekko Typen eher nichts. Wer allerdings gut essen möchte, mit angemessenen Preisen, der ist hier richtig. Sehr nette Bedienung, die auch bei meinen Enkel (3.5 Jahre - 1.5 Jahre sowie drei Monate nicht die Fassung verloren hat. Bewundernswert, da ich mich schon manchmal dem Schreikrampf erwehren muss.

Man muss hier auf jeden Fall vorher reservieren War spontan dort und kein Platz frei. Es haben viele Leute schon auf einen Platz gewartet

Gutes Essen und schöner Biergarten.

Immer ein netter Ort, um sich mit Freunden zu treffen. Das Essen ist seit ein paar Jahren spitze (neuer Pächter) und die Portionen sind riesig für einen Mann in den 50ern. Dieses Ma(h)l war der Anlass ein Trauerfall. Nett, daß sie am Tag vorher noch angerufen haben, ob wir die Reservierung nach draußen verlegen wollten. War dann die richtige Wahl.

Der Kaiserschmarrn war hervorragend!

Seitdem die neuen Pächter drin sind, ist das Essen wieder richtig gut und die Portionen sind riesig! Man kann im kleinen Biergarten sitzen, es gibt einen kleinen Spielplatz und Hasen für die Kinder zum anschauen. Im Wirtshaus ist es urig, aber zuweilen auch etwas lauter! Alles in allem aber sehr nett!

Sehr gut besucht, Preise ok, Essen gut und die Lokalität ist durchaus schön. Personal ist gut ausgelastet aber freundlich und zügig.

Extrem gutes bayerisches Restaurant, Service stets freundlich, flott und on Point. Das Essen, egal was man bestellt, hervorragend und die Portionen machen auch hungrige Esser richtig satt.

Bisher einer der besten Bayrischen Lokale.

Ich war heute mit meiner Frau im Biergarten. Nachdem wir 3 mal höfflichst gefragt hatten um etwas zu bestellen, wurden wir immer wieder auf die Kollegin verwiesen. Die Bedienungen liefen an unseren Tisch 20 Minuten einfach nur vorbei, ohne uns auch nur anzusehen. Alle anderen Tische in einem nur mäßig besuchten Biergarten wurden bedient außer wir! Über das Essen können wir nichts sagen, da wir uns Unwohl fühlten und uns entschlossen zu gehen. Hier wird anscheinend nicht jeder bedient. An was das liegt kann ich bei besten Willen nicht sagen. Aber so eine persönliche Abneigung in einer Wirtschaft habe ich noch nie erlebt. Bleibt noch erwähnt, dass wir beim Alten Wirt vor längere Zeit schon Silvester gefeiert hatten und auch öfters mit Freunden dort gegessen haben, aber so noch nie behandelt worden sind. Kann eigentlich nur der derzeitige Besitzer erklären, ob sein Personal angewiesen ist bestimmte Menschen nicht zu bedienen.

Wir waren heute das erste und ganz bestimmt das letzte Mal beim Essen dort. Die gemischten kleinen Salate konnte man essen, wobei Himbeeressig nicht jedermanns Geschmack ist. Die Schweinemedalions waren trocken und angebrannt, die Pilzrahmsoße war wässrig und die Pilze musste man suchen. Die beiden Cordonbleu hatten schon einen eigenartigen Geruch als sie serviert wurden, was sich auch nach der ersten Gabel voll im Geschmack bestätigt hatte. Wir sind seit 20 Jahren in der Gastronomie tätig, haben daher mit vielen Gastronomen zu tun, aber so etwas schlechtes an Essensqualität ist uns noch nirgendwo untergekommen.

Wer schnell und absolut köstliches bayrisches Essen möchte, ist hier genau richtig! Auch wenn man nicht reserviert hat, bekommt man immer (2 pers.) einen Tisch. Aktuell unser Lieblingsrestaurant und wir kommen regelmäßig dorthin. Absolute Empfehlung ist der Kaiserschmarren! So unglaublich lecker!😋

Gestern waren wir 11 Personen, unterschiedlichste Gerichte, die alle zeitgleich gekommen sind. Egal welches Gericht, alles war ausnehmend gut. Der Service war überaus kompetent und freundlich. Es war ein perfekter Abend. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen, das Essen war reichlich.

Immer wieder gerne im Alten Wirt zu Gast ! Große Speisekarte, für jeden etwas dabei , egal ob deftig oder süß , ob vegetarisch oder Fleisch . Viele raffinierte, leckere Geschmäcker , optisch immer ein Highlight ! Schneller und überaus freundlicher Service ! Großzügige Portionen , Preis / Leistung stimmt . Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert Weiter so 👍😉

Ein typisches bayrisches Restaurant mit gemütlichem Ambiente. Eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und ein frisches Bier runden den Besuch ab. Das Essen war guter Standard. Übrigens einer der wenigen Restaurants, wo tatsächlich der Eingang bis zum WC ebenerdig ist!... Sehr Rollstuhl geeignet!! Heute die Ochsenfetzen waren wirklich spitze.... Deswegen ab sofort fünf Sterne. Danke für den tollen Service.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit toller Karte. Neben den bayrischen Klassikern, gibt es auch sehr gute andere und leckere Gerichte und Salate. Der Salat mit Hühnerstreifen und auch der Zander mit Salat sind wirklich traumhaft. Münchener Schnitzel ist ein Riesenteil!. Schön dünn geklopft und perfekte, stabile Panade. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten als Gruppe einen Nebenraum am Ende vom Gang. Sehr schön gestaltete Stube. Der Seitenausgang des Lokals liegt gleich neben dem Stöbern und dadurch ist es etwas kühl, weil ständig die Aussentür auf und zu geht und viele Leute beim Verlassen oder Reinkomnen im Türrahmen erstmal eine Pause einlegen. Und dadurch ist es dann in der kalten Jahreszeit immer etwas frisch in dem ersten Nebenraum. Ist aber wirklich das Einzige was ich anzumerken habe. Ansonsten ist das Lokal perfekt.

Das Essen ist ein Traum. Bayerische Küche mit Pfiff und Fantasie. Das Ambiente sehr geschmackvoll! Das Servicepersonal ist fröhlich, freundlich und schnell. Absolut zu empfehlen

I often go there with my family for special occasions (New Year's Eve, Christmas, birthdays, etc.). The visits are always very pleasant, and the food is excellent. We have two vegetarians with us, so the selection is naturally a bit smaller (I think there are four main courses), which is to be expected in a traditional inn and not a big deal, as all the dishes are delicious. However, during my last visit a few days ago, I noticed that the recipe for my absolute go-to dish (Käsespätzle 😋) seems to have been changed (a completely different cheese). Unfortunately, this was a big disappointment for me, as I didn't enjoy it that way anymore. It would be really great if they went back to the old recipe. 😅

Wir hatten das Unglück eine gestresste Bedienung gehabt zu haben der Rest war super Essen gut Getränke alles ok leider kein Ginger Ale ob wohl es auf der Karte stand Chaos dann beim zahlen weil musste in ein Nebenzimmer gehen um mit Karte zahlen zu können wir waren 8 Personen um am Schluss waren 40 Euro übrig keiner konnte es dich erklären warum

Ich war jetzt zum dritten Mal hier und bin jedes Mal überrascht, wie ausgezeichnet das Essen hier ist. Für mich stimmt das große Ganze, und auch die Kleinigkeiten. Zum Beispiel das Beilagengemüse (u. a. zu den Ochsenfetzen) ist hervorragend, Kartoffelsalat ist selbst gemacht, etc. Für diese Qualität zahle ich auch gerne den Preis, den man mittlerweile beim Essen gehen bezahlt. Da gehe ich bei anderen Lokalen mit ganz anderen Gefühlen raus. Hier beim alten Wirt Forstenried stimmts für mich. Die Portionen sind ordentlich, das Menü ist durchdacht. Der Service arbeitet zügig, aufmerksam und freundlich. Alles in allem Top!

Ordered Wiener Schnitzel with salad at 3:30 PM. Received the food at 3:45 PM. The food was truly a 10/10; the meat was very tender and delicious. I highly recommend it.

SAD! Yesterday evening, Friday, around 5:30 p.m., after a long shift, I spontaneously dressed up to go out for dinner here with my 86-year-old mother, who uses a wheelchair. Since I knew from a previous visit that it's always very crowded, I went in alone after parking to have a look around. At the reservation desk, the young woman in charge said kindly, "No problem," they had something available, whereupon she showed me to a nice table and demonstrated that my mother could easily get in there with her wheelchair. I was pleased because we could have chatted comfortably at an angle, and my mother would have had a good view of the dining room. ... So I confirmed the spontaneous booking, unloaded the wheelchair, and "packed in" my excited mother, only to learn about 10 minutes later that the table was now reserved for someone else from 6:00 PM onwards... We could sit "over there" (at a very long table so close to the nearest one that my mother would have had to sit with her back to the main service area). I declined, pointing out that I had specifically asked... They asked to get "the manager," whereupon another young woman came over, who rather noncommittally stated that the table was reserved for 5 people from 6:00 PM onwards. When I objected that this was "not right," she snapped at me, saying I hadn't made a reservation and we could also take the table "back there next to the cash register" (which I politely declined, insisting on the table I had been promised). In a highly unfriendly manner, the woman then informed me that this table was unavailable; her staff had "simply forgotten to put up the reservation sign." I countered that this information was very late, that I had been promised this table, and that I had only then, with some difficulty, brought my mother along. After the woman, now with her hands on her hips, had informed me, even more rudely, that I hadn't made a reservation, I left the restaurant with my disappointed mother...

Good food in a traditional Bavarian restaurant

We held a company event in the upstairs dining room. Everything was absolutely perfect. We were greeted with an aperitif, and the service was always discreet yet attentive. Even last-minute changes to the three-course menu (three pre-ordered appetizers, three main courses, and three desserts) were accommodated. All the dishes were outstanding in both quality and presentation.

Friendly staff, excellent selection of dishes. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The prices are reasonable for the quality. I'll definitely be back!

We ate there and were absolutely thrilled! The food was delicious – fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The portions are really generous; no one will leave hungry! The waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is very nicely decorated. The only slight downside was the noise level, which meant we sometimes had to speak a little louder. Nevertheless, we would definitely come back! Highly recommended! 🍽️👏

Good Restaurant with Great food at a reasonable price

Three of us spontaneously popped in, very hungry. Despite being very busy (hot food served throughout lunch and the afternoon), we managed to get a spot. Very friendly and attentive service, even though they were extremely busy. Excellent food, prepared with a touch of imagination and extravagance, and presented in generous portions! We'll definitely be back! Thank you!

If you show up on a Friday night with a reservation made by email 45 minutes in advance, you shouldn't expect to get a seat for four. 😀 But. Everything possible was done here to make it possible ❤️. Top-notch service Top-notch food Top-notch ambiance. We were on a three-country trip, ending in Munich. And it was one of the best restaurants of all.

One of the oldest restaurants in Bavaria.

We celebrated a birthday with almost 40 people in the ballroom on the first floor. Both the service and the food were excellent and received high praise from our guests. We had music and were able to make good use of the spacious room for dancing. A personal consultation took place beforehand, during which our wishes were discussed and great suggestions for implementation were made. We would definitely celebrate here again.

As a non-Bavarian, my impression is that Bavarian food at its best is served here. We've been here several times now, always received warm service, and were always very impressed with the food – especially the salads. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. I think you can't go wrong with a pit stop here.

We were passing through and wanted to try some Kaiserschmarrn. We didn't stop there because there were so many appealing dishes on the menu. We opted for the grilled goat cheese instead. Both were incredibly delicious! We'll have to save the other treats for our next trip. The service was also super friendly 😊👍!

It was delicious, and most importantly, there were four adults and three children, and the price wasn't very high. The staff was very polite, and the food was served very quickly.

Unfortunately, our visit today wasn't so positive. The waitress mishandled three of our five orders and, after we complained, became quite surly. It was also very loud. The food, however, was good.

A real inn, just as you'd imagine. The food is perfect and there's plenty of it.

Very cozy place, the food is delicious and the portions are large. On Friday at 6:00 PM the order was brought very quickly, but around 7:00 PM there are more people and the wait is a little longer. There is a fenced playground for children, so they don't get bored.

Slow food, really fast! We were looking for a beer garden after a day trip and found one here in Forstenried. A really friendly welcome. It was busy, but they immediately approached us and helped us find a free spot. We'd barely sat down before we placed our order. The food arrived super quickly. The taste was truly delicious, and the portions were generous. We'll definitely be back soon.

Everything is superlative. Google Maps, this Restaurant should be at the top of your list in this region, for recommendations (my opinion).

We stopped at the Alter Wirt on a layover from the highway. I had the best salad I've had in a long time, with blueberries, pomegranate seeds, raspberry vinaigrette, and wonderfully marinated turkey flakes! My husband's meal was also excellent. The kids had several options to choose from upon request. Great sausages with sauerkraut! Homemade spaetzle with gravy! The service was very friendly, very quick, and asked several times if everything was okay. A very child-friendly atmosphere with a playground, a cozy beer garden, well-protected from the road. There's even parking behind the building. All in all, a wonderfully enjoyable stopover on the way home from our Bavarian vacation!

This is what a pub should be like. The service is genuinely friendly and quick, and special requests are made without hesitation. The portions are generous, and the food is simply delicious and fresh, as well as visually appealing. The 300ml Aperol was perfect, and you sit in comfortable armchairs rather than hard, rickety wooden ones. The only drawback is the street noise, but that's not the pub's fault. PL Topp👍

As a foreigner leaving in Munich since few years, it is quite easy to understand from my German that I’m not a local, and to exchange me for a tourist. I found what happened here unacceptable: the waiter charged me 12% of tip directly without asking, he showed only the final amount to pay, covering the details of the invoice, before paying with the card. I realized only after, when I asked to add the tip and he says it was already included…Never happened something like this in Munich, will never come here again. Update: I was contacted from the restaurant for the excuses, and after getting some more informations, they took actions against the waiter. This is the best reaction the restaurant owner could do. Thanks!

**THE BEST KAISERSCHMARRN I'VE EVER HAD** And the rest of the food was also excellent across the board!! Above average value for money. We were lucky to have a super friendly and extremely competent waiter who handled even difficult situations with great charm. Unfortunately, we were seated by a rather unfriendly lady – so maybe that's just luck. The ambiance is nice, too, but unfortunately quite noisy with the cars driving by on the street.

Unfortunately, we must have encountered an unfriendly waiter. The meat was very fatty twice. The burger was okay. Otherwise, a nice beer garden.

Very nice inn and very friendly staff.

The restaurant has maintained a consistently high standard for many years. The food is usually served quickly. The roast pork is good. The Bavarian schnitzel is even very good and a very large portion. One drawback is that you can only pay by card at the cash register. A lovely garden, unfortunately, right on the street.

Anyone who serves me a steak like this "au point" has already won my heart! Thank you! I'd be happy to serve it again!

We've been to the "Alten Wirt" several times and have never been disappointed! The food is absolutely delicious, whether it's schnitzel, oxtails, or cheese spaetzle. The service was always fast and friendly. We're already looking forward to our next visits :)

We went to the Alter Wirt for a family reunion today, and the Alter Wirt schnitzel is simply amazing. My wife had the Käsespätzle, which were also simply fantastic. Afterward, the affogato simply can't be topped. Anytime again!!! Best regards, Franz

We rented the upstairs room to have dinner and a celebration with our close family after the ceremony. There were four dishes to choose from, and all four were excellent. The service was quick and attentive. The best "gasthaus" in the area. We'll definitely be back ;)

Nice restaurant with a nice beer garden. You can hear the nearby street a bit, but it's not disturbing. Quick and nice service. With nice German portions. Good daily menu and also interesting drink options available.
