We stopped on the way to our ski trip - Very local place with local food. The food was great, service very kind, not expensive, and you feel right in the mood in the wooden-decorated rooms.

It was very tasty and most importantly we were 4 adults and 3 children and the price was not very high. The staff was very polite and the food was served very quickly.

We were there for dinner in a small group and we all absolutely loved it! The service was attentive, very accommodating and super friendly and the food - both main courses and desserts - was very, very tasty. The prices are a little more expensive, but are completely proportional to the quality and taste. We'll be back!

If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by here. The food is great, especially the Pschorr Brauhaussteak is terrific and always a must when I'm in Munich. The service often seems stressed, but that's completely OK. They're all nice as long as you don't make a fool of them. Then there's fire back accordingly, and that's completely OK. Toilets very clean, which is not often the case in Bavarian restaurants. Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to experience a Bavarian restaurant.

Overall it was fine. Unfortunately, the prices do not match the service provided. The food could taste a little better. The waitress should check every now and then to see if anyone needs anything else. Thank you anyway.

One of the best inns in Munich. You can really enjoy eating everything on the menu here, it's always very good! Have already tried many dishes. The food is always served hot. Varied seasonal menu or weekly menu for the standard menu. The staff is without exception nice and attentive. Nice beer garden in summer.

We had dinner here with some colleagues this week and the staff was really great! Everyone was friendly, flexible and helpful! Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency with an emergency doctor called in because of an insect bite, but the team reacted brilliantly and confidently, so that thanks to their level-headed actions, things turned out well. At the end there was even a discount for the food, which - by the way - tasted great! Thank you very much for that, we'll be back :-)

Since the change in tenant we have been coming back to eat more often (weekly). Our children love the ice cream hut and the playground with the cute rabbits. The service is very attentive and nice, the kitchen has changed a lot for the better and the price/performance ratio is also 100% met.

This time we went to the old inn while passing through based on a recommendation from the newspaper. The service was very quick and friendly. We found the food not very tasty. The schnitzel with pretzel breading was just okay in terms of meat, but on the dry side. The breading (7 cheese! and pretzel crumbs) had a neutral taste. The potato salad had no taste. The dumpling carpaccio was dominated by the vinaigrette. Prices are rather ambitious for what is on offer. The beer garden is okay, but not special either. Sanitary very clean.

I was not too lazy to go to Alter Wirt and read the reviews... and there they write: I exercised in the evening, I didn't like it, and TD. Who exercised and what... where is the photo with flies in the soup or something else. If you write nasty things, then give me proof. The waiters are friendly and quick, they immediately sent me a Slovak with whom I immediately found a common language... 99.9% of the guests are local, I think they know where to go to eat. the food is VERY TASTY.. and the beer 🍺 and the toilet smells nice. first time in Munich but I hope to come back here more than once...

This store is a 10 out of 10. The beer garden is large (including a playground for children), in the evenings the fairy lights shine over the entire beer garden and every table gets a small candle. The food was beautifully prepared and of course tasted very good (best Kaiserschmarrn). The service was always friendly and courteous, our drink was empty and we didn't have to wait a minute for the waiter to ask us if we wanted something else to drink. In general, the shop is recommended and always worth a visit. :)

Great beer garden with great service and good food. For the children there is a playground with a rabbit enclosure. Simply ask the waitress for rabbit food and the children and rabbits will be happy.

We celebrated our wedding there in May and were more than thrilled. From the first email to our party, everything was perfect. We had an incredibly nice preliminary conversation with the tenant. She presented us with various options, all of which were implemented the way we wanted. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and very accommodating.

We were there with 12 people and everything was perfect. We sat in the beer garden and the service and of course the food was great. If we are in Munich again we would like to come back.

Good restaurant with rustic character. The food and beer were really very good. The roast pork is prepared in a comfortable time (not too fast and not too slow) so you can be sure that it is really fresh. The service was very, very nice and often asked if everything was okay. Great service and very very tasty food!

Bland food, mini portions, but at hefty prices. Zander dry and mini, risotto unseasoned. A heap of leaf lettuce with goat cheese and ready-made sauce from the Asian snack bar for 15 euros. Unfortunately that was our last time here. The only bright spot was the super nice service, who was clearly embarrassed by the whole thing.

A very cozy, always full shop that serves really good Bavarian cuisine. From young to old, everything is there. Juppies as well as older people can find everything in traditional costume, suit, dress and jeans. Extra requests are fulfilled with a smile - any excess schnitzel or meat vegetables are happily given in aluminum foil. A restaurant in the south of Munich where it is worthwhile and definitely recommended to reserve a place.

Food and drink selection is good and the prices are reasonable for the Munich area. Staff friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was very clean and well maintained. Parking is available free of charge ! (Not particularly many but enough!!) A reservation can't hurt on Sundays and public holidays!!!

Since the change of tenant we have been going to the Alte Wirt very regularly again. Outstanding…! The quality of the food, the service, the waiting time: TIP TOP! There are professionals at work here!!!! Outstanding! Can be recommended to every potential guest without hesitation! My restaurant, your restaurant: here the Alte Wirt would be by far the front runner....!!!!

The Alte Wirt in Forstenrieder is always a worthwhile destination. The food is delicious, always fresh and everyone is open to small changes. The guest room and the adjoining rooms are cozy, rustic, Bavarian. There are so many dishes on the menu, which often makes it difficult to decide. We can definitely recommend the brewery steak, the roast pork with an extremely crispy crust and the cream mushrooms with bread dumplings. We always enjoy coming back. A reservation is recommended, but during the week in the early evening for two you can do without it.
