Went there today for ice cream with the family. Great service and super delicious ice cream.

This time we went to the old inn while passing through based on a recommendation from the newspaper. The service was very quick and friendly. We found the food not very tasty. The schnitzel with pretzel breading was just okay in terms of meat, but on the dry side. The breading (7 cheese! and pretzel crumbs) had a neutral taste. The potato salad had no taste. The dumpling carpaccio was dominated by the vinaigrette. Prices are rather ambitious for what is on offer. The beer garden is okay, but not special either. Sanitary very clean.

10/10 experience! Everything about this place is right, the food tastes amazing, the service is friendly and quick, the interior design of this place is rustic but modern, AND the price is just right.

I was not too lazy to go to Alter Wirt and read the reviews... and there they write: I exercised in the evening, I didn't like it, and TD. Who exercised and what... where is the photo with flies in the soup or something else. If you write nasty things, then give me proof. The waiters are friendly and quick, they immediately sent me a Slovak with whom I immediately found a common language... 99.9% of the guests are local, I think they know where to go to eat. the food is VERY TASTY.. and the beer 🍺 and the toilet smells nice. first time in Munich but I hope to come back here more than once...

This store is a 10 out of 10. The beer garden is large (including a playground for children), in the evenings the fairy lights shine over the entire beer garden and every table gets a small candle. The food was beautifully prepared and of course tasted very good (best Kaiserschmarrn). The service was always friendly and courteous, our drink was empty and we didn't have to wait a minute for the waiter to ask us if we wanted something else to drink. In general, the shop is recommended and always worth a visit. :)

Roast pork was super tender. The crust is nice and crispy. Price-performance is right. Cozy beer garden.

Great beer garden with great service and good food. For the children there is a playground with a rabbit enclosure. Simply ask the waitress for rabbit food and the children and rabbits will be happy.

We celebrated our wedding there in May and were more than thrilled. From the first email to our party, everything was perfect. We had an incredibly nice preliminary conversation with the tenant. She presented us with various options, all of which were implemented the way we wanted. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and very accommodating.

We were there with 12 people and everything was perfect. We sat in the beer garden and the service and of course the food was great. If we are in Munich again we would like to come back.

Good restaurant with rustic character. The food and beer were really very good. The roast pork is prepared in a comfortable time (not too fast and not too slow) so you can be sure that it is really fresh. The service was very, very nice and often asked if everything was okay. I'd love to go there again.

We ate there yesterday in a fairly large group. Food was amazing. Very large portions. We all wanted dessert, but unfortunately we had to leave it out because the main courses were really good portions. Service was very quick and attentive, extremely friendly. Happy to recommend again and again at any time.

Great service and very very tasty food!

Bland food, mini portions, but at hefty prices. Zander dry and mini, risotto unseasoned. A heap of leaf lettuce with goat cheese and ready-made sauce from the Asian snack bar for 15 euros. Unfortunately that was our last time here. The only bright spot was the super nice service, who was clearly embarrassed by the whole thing.

A very cozy, always full shop that serves really good Bavarian cuisine. From young to old, everything is there. Juppies as well as older people can find everything in traditional costume, suit, dress and jeans. Extra requests are fulfilled with a smile - any excess schnitzel or meat vegetables are happily given in aluminum foil. A restaurant in the south of Munich where it is worthwhile and definitely recommended to reserve a place.

Even though the restaurant was very busy on Saturday evening, the service came quickly and, as always, in a good mood. The food was excellent. The portions filled us well.

Food and drink selection is good and the prices are reasonable for the Munich area. Staff friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was very clean and well maintained. Parking is available free of charge ! (Not particularly many but enough!!) A reservation can't hurt on Sundays and public holidays!!!

Since the change of tenant we have been going to the Alte Wirt very regularly again. Outstanding…! The quality of the food, the service, the waiting time: TIP TOP! There are professionals at work here!!!! Outstanding! Can be recommended to every potential guest without hesitation! My restaurant, your restaurant: here the Alte Wirt would be by far the front runner....!!!!

The Alte Wirt in Forstenrieder is always a worthwhile destination. The food is delicious, always fresh and everyone is open to small changes. The guest room and the adjoining rooms are cozy, rustic, Bavarian. There are so many dishes on the menu, which often makes it difficult to decide. We can definitely recommend the brewery steak, the roast pork with an extremely crispy crust and the cream mushrooms with bread dumplings. We always enjoy coming back. A reservation is recommended, but during the week in the early evening for two you can do without it.

As a guest at the "Alter Wirt" restaurant in Munich-Forstenried, I can say with confidence that the food here is excellent and the service is extremely friendly. An absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to experience real Bavarian hospitality and cuisine! We ate Munich schnitzel, pork knuckles and zander fillet and Kaiserschmarrn. We really enjoyed it.

Gutes bürgerliches Essen, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis okay.

Die Kellner waren immer da, ständige Nachfrage ob alles passt. Super liebe Leute. Das Essen war gut, leider hat man teilweise geschmeckt dass es nicht frisch war. Die Bratkartoffeln sind aufgewärmt. Preislich echt übel, aber liegt an München und der Inflation??? Man hofft es, denn ein Steak mit warm gemachten Bratkartoffeln für über 20 Euro zu verkaufen wäre dann doch nicht preiswert und gerechtfertigt. Aber das Personal hat überzeugt. Ihr seid ne tolle Gruppe und in bayrisch "sau griabig" Und sogar im Winter können die Kids draußen spielen und haben die Hasen vor der Nase und Spaß am Spielplatz! Da sog i nur... Suppa!

Der Service ist Top! Werde immer freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient! Aber als Abholer verstehe ich nicht, warum ich am Ende genauso viel bezahlen soll, wie ein Gast vor Ort. Die 7% MWSt. für Abholer werden genauso berechnet, wie für die Gerichte im Restaurant. Dabei müsste doch der Endpreis geringer sein. Beispiel: 100 Euro = 119 Euro für den Gast, wenn im Restaurant gegessen wird. 100 Euro = 107 Euro für Mahlzeiten ausser Haus, also für Abholer. Soweit die Theorie Der Alte Wirt berechnet jedoch auch für Abholer 119 Euro, d.h. er verdient damit ca. 4.21 Euro mehr! Es wird einem Abholer somit ein höherer Nettopreis in Rechnung gestellt. Brutto sind es sogar 12 Euro! Für mich völlig unverständlich und nicht nachvollziehbar! Sehr schade, dass dafür völlig das Verständnis fehlt!

Seit der Neueröffnung im Juli 2023 eine tolle bayrische Gaststätte für alle. Gute bayrische Küche, nettes Service-Personal und das Ambiente passt auch sehr gut!

Sehr gute klassische Küche, aber auch Exoten wie ein Thai Curry kann man hier gut essen. Super freundliches Personal.

Normalerweise 10 Sterne wert. Das Schnitzel vom Kalb mit Bratkartoffeln war wie ein Gedicht und das Dessert ein Paradies. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert. Kommen gerne wieder 😊

Wir waren im Dezember bei einer Geburtstagsfeier da. Der Service und das Essen waren einfach nur toll. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder.

Echt lecker essen und nette Kellner

Tolles Essen und nette Bedienung. Wir waren ungefähr 40 Leute und die Kellnerin hatte alles unter Kontrolle

Essen war recht gut. Bedienung waren wir sehr zufrieden. Kaiserschmarrn, war ohne Kaiser. Es war zwar sehr viel, aber bescheiden im Geschmack. Höhe 8 cm, ohne Rosinen und null karamelisiert. Ein leider missglückten Kuchen und das nach einer Wartezeit von einer Stunde. Der Nebentisch hatte Glück, nach unserem Gemecker, flacher und viel Rosinen.

Urig, gemütlich, Service ist perfekt. Im Sommer super Biergarten.

Ein typisches bayrisches Restaurant mit gemütlichem Ambiente. Eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und ein frisches Bier runden den Besuch ab. Das Essen war guter Standard.

Endlich wieder gerne im alten wirt. Das Essen ist lecker und der Service prima.

Hier waren wir spontan essen und das war eine sehr gute Entscheidung: das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker, die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam, die Preise angemessen und das Ambiente gemütlich. Es hat also wirklich alles perfekt gepasst - wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

Alteingesessenes Badisches lokal mit schönen Räumlichkeiten. Von traditionellen bis modernen Speisen alles dabei. Auch Auswahl für Vegetarier/Veganer. Service super, geschmacklich top und Preise auch fair.

Waren abends zum Geburtstag eingeladen. 3 Leute bestellten Schweinekrustenbraten ,muss wohl von Mittag übrig geblieben sein. Die Knödel warnen wohl von einen Tag vorher. Das war kein Paniertes Schnitzel das war ohne Gewürz einfach Geschmack los.

Sehr gutes Essen, aufmerksamer Service und bayrische Gemütlichkeit!!! Ich kann dieses Wirtshaus nur bestens empfehlen!

In der frisch renovierten bayerischen Wirtschaft wird nicht nur das Holz poliert, sondern auch die Bedienung! Hier wird jeder Gast mit so viel Herzlichkeit empfangen, dass selbst das Schnitzel vor Freude hüpft. Prost auf gute Laune und ein sauberes Wirtshaus!
