Top-notch! Due to a hotel stay in Munich within walking distance, we came across this fine place via Google. We quickly called to see if dogs were allowed (✅), which they were, and made a reservation right away. A good decision, because despite it being a Sunday evening (October 13, 2025), the cozy and rustic restaurant was packed! Nevertheless, our server was super quick! We also had a water bowl and a plate with some treats for our dachshund princess right up front. Our order was taken quickly, and the menu (which is also available in English 🇬🇧) offered many regional and delicious items. We opted for the traditional pork knuckle with dumplings and cabbage. 🍗 This was also incredibly delicious and served super quickly. A clear recommendation to everyone, and we will definitely be back. 💪

We stopped in here spontaneously today. We were lucky enough to get a nice table early in the evening. We received very friendly service, and our children were warmly welcomed. The little one even had her own menu to color in. The food was delicious and plentiful, typical of a pub. We'd love to come back again.

The food and drinks were excellent and fresh. The roast pork fell apart just by looking at it, and the crust was super crispy. The bread dumpling was handball-sized, had the perfect consistency, and was incredibly delicious. The salad, although quite small, was well-seasoned. Our waitress was prompt, cheerful, and professional. It was a bit too loud and busy for me, so I deducted a point for the ambiance, but that doesn't detract from the overall conclusion: highly recommended!

Amazing place, I can't recommend it enough. We got there on a busy Thursday evening, no reservation, and the waitress did absolutely everything possible to find us a table. Other places would have just turned us down immediately. The place has great energy, with locals sharing tables with us tourist-types. All of the staff is super friendly and helpful, service is fast, but let's face it, if you've read this far you want to know about the food. Well, the food is truly outstanding. Everything we've had was top quality. Excellent local cuisine, including a kids menu. The two evenings we dined there are memorable for the entire family.

Delicious food in a cozy beer garden with great service.

After calling and confirming 30 minutes in advance whether we could come by, we were still turned away and asked to wait until a space became available. The 20-minute walk for six people was in vain. We would have liked to have checked out the positive reviews regarding the food, but due to the inadequate reservation execution and the laissez-faire management of telephone inquiries, we were unfortunately denied this opportunity.

Relaxed atmosphere, huge portions. Quick-witted (verbal) service. Simply a good beer garden. We noticed on our last visit that everything remained at the same high standard. Bavarian food is simply good, very good, and plentiful. The service is perfect and extremely friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back soon.

Rustic Bavarian inn with delicious cuisine and very friendly staff

I went there for the first time last week with a friend, enjoying beautiful weather and a full garden. We've rarely been served with such friendly and engaging service. The food was very good, traditional, and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back.

The food was excellent, but Roland, the waitress, was even more excellent. He made our stay in your beer garden so pleasant, thank you very much.

Well, the dishes are solid and really delicious 😋 As expected, they weren't particularly fancy or outstanding. The service was really busy and a bit overwhelmed at times. The ambiance is super rustic and, in my opinion, a bit loud and not very cozy (especially with large groups in the room).

I was there today for a white sausage breakfast. It was really busy. It was fun.

A nuanced view. As much as we're sorry, the food is rather expensive for the quality and the service. Example: summer ribs: around €20 including garlic bread, extra fried potatoes; a small cover charge of €5.10. The BBQ sauce is definitely pre-made (no rub), a little bit brushed on top. That's really weak. I suspect: spare ribs with little meat (charitable), certainly not smoked (about 3 hours), nor wrapped (steamed, about 2 hours) or glazed (about 1 hour), not to mention sous vide and finishing. Please order something from the steamer like dumplings or Kasspatzen, so you won't notice it as much. Service is fast, Bavarian-friendly, and there's a beer garden atmosphere on two adjacent streets, as was common 100 years ago, perfect in the past, but tends to be loud in Trudering today. Local guide: 4 out of 10.

Beautiful restaurant with a beer garden. The staff was very friendly. We got a table spontaneously. The menu had a good selection, and there was something for everyone. The portions were generous and filling. Good value for money.

The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly despite the restaurant being absolutely packed. I don't know if other people like it that way, but I find the noise level absolutely extreme. The last renovation resulted in extremely smooth ceilings and walls that do absolutely nothing to absorb sound, so you can barely hear your neighbor. I simply can't understand why they didn't take this into consideration from the start; it's been known for a long time. Nevertheless, it apparently doesn't diminish its popularity; the place is packed, and a reservation on the weekend doesn't hurt even during peak hours.

My friends recommended this restaurant because they serve traditional Bavarian cuisine. I chose a beef dish that I preferred to be prepared more well done. It was quickly refired and I was able to enjoy my meal with my friends. There were also two baskets placed on the table. One had pretzels and the other had sliced bread. There was an additional charge for them. The sign indicating that in the pretzel basket was hidden by the pretzels.

Cozy beer garden. I had the perfect pancake soup, and my boyfriend had an unbeatable roast pork. We'd be happy to come back. The prices are reasonable.

After many years, it's still our absolute favorite in Trudering. It's practically our second living room. The staff is friendly and super attentive, the portions are generous to large, and the food is simply outstanding. My favorites are the roast pork, the knuckle of pork, schnitzel, and, if it's on the menu, the chili con carne... oh, and the beer bread soup! Behind the restaurant, there's a beer garden with shady spots under giant chestnut trees. Parking is available behind the building or on the street, but it can get a bit noisy in the dining room (due to the building's construction) when there are lots of guests. A must-go!

Great beer garden, superb food, and excellent service; we were absolutely thrilled. On a balmy summer evening, simply the perfect end to a wonderful evening with a great Unertl beer, delicious food, and first-class service. Our service was truly excellent; many servers could learn from their example. It wasn't just like being in a great pub, but almost like being with friends. The food was fantastic all around; nothing to complain about, except that my shirt was ready for the washing machine after the spare ribs. But the enjoyment was worth the mess, and you simply don't eat them with a knife and fork; even the etiquette code agrees with that 😉

The staff was excellent and on the ball. The cheese spaetzle was from a package, and unfortunately, the cheese wasn't mountain cheese, or rather, it was mixed with a lot of processed cheese. The salad was good. Once is enough.

10/10 best meal we’ve had in Munich. Vegetarian and vegan options, we ordered the spinach dumplings, vegan mushroom risotto and beef tenderloin on herb butter. Everything was so delicious! This reminded us of Australian pub food which is usually always very good! We will definitely come back again when visiting Munich.

A quaint Bavarian pub and beer garden – almost like something out of a picture book. The restaurant also exudes a traditional coziness. For trade fair visitors, it's easily accessible on foot from Riem in half an hour. Unfortunately, many people already know this, and that's why it's quite busy. In other words: you'll need to bring a little time (and patience with the service). But in return, you'll be served hearty Bavarian cuisine. Hearty and delicious (and not really suitable for calorie counters 😉)! When we come to the trade fair in Munich, we always look forward to an evening at the Truderinger Wirtshaus.

We were passing through, arrived with children and dogs, and received a warm welcome! The dogs were immediately given something to drink and a plate of dog biscuits. The children were given something to draw. The service was quick and friendly, the food was delicious, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommended for the good Bavarian cuisine.

We're on vacation here and had our first white sausage, and this was the perfect place ;) The knuckle of pork with bread dumplings was amazing, and the kids also loved the Leberkäse (liver sausage). Thumbs up for the service, very friendly with casual remarks...

Full marks in all areas. Super friendly staff, but under maximum stress, as the place was literally full on the weekend. Very child-friendly with a wide selection on the children's menu at fair prices, coloring supplies, and a lollipop to finish. The kids had desserts. They were both amazing. Our goulash with dumplings was also amazing. The beer was delicious. The atmosphere is, of course, 100% Bavarian. 100% recommendation, and I would gladly come back anytime, especially with (young) children.

The place is nice and there's seating outside. The food is good; I tried the pork knuckle with sauerkraut on the side and a good dark beer. The service is very fast after ordering, but you have to wait a bit. You pay for the pretzels, so now you know and you can't complain afterwards. 😁 Try it, it's worth it.

This is still a true old-style inn: wood paneling, a cozy atmosphere, locals playing cards and drinking beer. Which brings us to the topic: all the classic Bavarian beers (light, dark, wheat) plus a few specialties (Ursud). And a pretzel on the table (fresh!). The food is decent, classically rustic.

Delicious food and great offers for children

The inn offers excellent food and friendly service, making the visit a pleasant one. It's also very pleasant for children. We enjoyed it so much that we went there two evenings.

This is a fantastic classic Bavarian Wirtshaus with a beautiful Biergarten, excellent food prepared to a high standard and of course delicious German beers. Highly recommended if you want to sample a true German local where the locals really go. The staff are all very friendly and will accept your basic attempts at German with a smile. The menu has some unique local offerings as well as the classics you expect. I can highly recommend the Weisswurst (white sausage) which comes from a local butcher. Pairs very well with a classic Weizen (wheat beer), or the special Kellerbier that was on tap when we visited. There is an English menu if you can’t brave the German menu - but this is by no means a “tourist-only” restaurant. Definitely worth your time for a real local experience with top quality!

We found this restaurant by pure luck, searching for something local to eat.. We loved the atmosphere, the food is absolutely wonderful, we had snitzel with mushrooms sauce and the most delicious apple fritters! The waiter was kind, the bathrooms were clean and the prices were OK for the amount of food served. We will sure visit again!

A nice Bavarian restaurant. The food has been better in the past. Roast pork was good but arrived cold. The liver was dry, and the stuffed potatoes came after everyone had already eaten. The portions were all much too large; sometimes less is better, but well-prepared food is better. The waitress tried to play it off with a good joke, which she did quite well.
