Small, fine and cozy. Absolutely top food at good or normal prices. Great staff, all very friendly and accommodating. You just feel comfortable as if you've always been coming there. For me it is an absolute must to stop there when visiting Munich.

It was a horrible experience. When we said we only want to drink the waitress changed her attitude completely and she was rude. She told us the table was free until 7 pm but when we said no food she said it is now free until 6 pm. Would not recommend!

We came at a non-busy hour with a rather large group of people. The restaurant was mostly empty. They told us the table we have is free until 19:00, but when we said we only want drinks and don’t want to order food, they treated us very mean and told us we have to leave in an hour. Throughout the whole time the restaurant was not even half full and we were the only big group. I would never come here again. Incredibly unpolite staff, treats paying customers like a nuisance. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Very nice experience! There is this hall with many tables, you share the longest, and it makes a really agreeable environment. The service is super quick, very nice beer, and very good food (we got the schnitzel and the creamy mushroom soup), but what is unbelievably good is the kaisershmarren!! It's sooo big that you can bring it home for the breakfast of the next day! They asked tips in cash but we didn't have any, they were kind enough to let us tip with the card

Good Bavarian cuisine in the heart of the city of Munich. Of course frequented by a lot of tourists. Bavarian atmosphere with very good Bavarian food.

It was very delicious! ! The pork dishes are very tender, delicious, and voluminous. The lean beef steak with lots of fried onions was also delicious. It also comes with salad and cabbage coleslaw. The beer is really delicious! The staff at the store are very gentlemanly. This is a restaurant I would like to visit again when I go to Munich.

All in all a very nice inn. We had the schnitzel, which was a bit more expensive, but it was worth it. The fried potatoes were very good and the service was A1. I can recommend it to anyone who is looking for something good near the Isartor. The schnitzels are also nice and big and there are 2 of them. The ambience is typically Bavarian and it was definitely worth the visit.

Unfortunately, there are no longer the "Altmünchner" dishes like before, veal head...etc... like in the Weisses Bräuhaus 200m away. Service 👍5 stars.

We went to Dürnbräu for the first time with a larger group on Wednesday evening. The welcome was very nice and accommodating and our tables were already ready for us! Big praise to our great waitress Marion (Marion1), who created a really good atmosphere, very personable and simply Bavarian friendly! We also had some great advice! Super likeable power woman! Thank you very much for a relaxing evening and really delicious food, which was served very quickly.

In for a treat in this old established place that serves succulent Bavarian dishes. They don’t skim on the portions here. In tune with its past, the traditional wood furniture transports you to another time. Try the house beer and don’t miss the delicious Kaiserschmarren, a fluffy shredded pancake to die for.

Basically everything was okay, but the dishes were around 4 to 5 euros more expensive than the competitors; the portions are rather smaller.

Nice place but annoying waiters. I sat down with my friends and we wanted to drink just a glass of beer but the waiters kept coming at our table asking for another round all the time (I wasn't even over with mine). We were not camping there, it was a short stay. At the fifth time asking, in the span of 30 minutes, we left, very annoyed.

Nice Bavarian restaurant, but unfortunately this restaurant now also uses the 2-hour rule. When you enter the restaurant you are informed that you now have two hours. So it's not possible to sit together comfortably for the evening here. The clock is ticking!

Very nice service. We ate suckling pork roll roast with Bavarian cabbage, roast pork and onion roast roast. Food came quickly, large portion and was very tasty. Our guests and we were very satisfied. We will be back.

It was a cold day so we ate inside the restaurant. The long store in the back has a calm German atmosphere, and there are two types of beer, including Weiss beer and Helles beer.The food is also very delicious. The Kaiserschmann is served on a frying pan and comes with delicious apple parsley. The male staff spoke English and was kind.

In this enchanting restaurant we had the pleasure of being served by the beaming waitress Heidi. Her warm manner made the meal twice as delicious! The food was so amazing that our taste buds had a party - it was like culinary fireworks exploded in our mouths. The Kaiserschmarren is the best in all of Munich. Heidi not only brought the food, but also a vibe that made us feel like we were guests in her own home. The next time we're hungry for a heavenly meal and an extra dose of good mood, we know exactly where we'll go - to Heidi's magical Dürnbräu service!

One of the best Traditional Bavarian restaurants in Munich. Taste is excellent and they also have variety of non-alcohlic beers in very economical prices. I tried its duck meal and that was amazingly good. Good service and atmosphere but bit noisy at weekends. Staff wearing traditional Baverian dresses, serving and treatingyou very well.. it all looks nice. Highly recommended.

Food is really nice, the pork knuckle skin is real crispy! Beer is nice and fresh and the apple cake paired with ice cream is a must! Service is rather aloof though.

Walking through the streets of Munich we found the restaurant in question. Looking for information about it we discovered that it is famous for Bavarian cuisine. It is generally recommended to have a reservation before visiting, but since we went relatively early in the afternoon we found a table. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dishes we tried were very tasty and special.

A great way to get Bavarian cuisine in Munich. The price level is not very low, but considering the quality and the good location, it is not excessive. The service is friendly and fast and - now a special quality feature - local. Definitely a recommendation.

We found the ambience and the service very good. Very attentive and friendly waitress. The portions were quite large and filling. In terms of taste, 4 points because it's pretty solid and tasty. It wasn't a wow effect. The bread dumplings were not fluffy, but very firm and not well seasoned for my taste.

Extremely courteous service... It's almost scary when you're discussing it in a group and the gentleman is already at the table with your wish! The food was wonderful, but the main course was a little smaller than expected. The ambience was hearty and good, nothing out of the ordinary.

A nice location just around the corner from the heart of the city center. Can get a bit crowded, but it has the perfect Bavarian feel for dinner. Many selections both for food and beverages. My dinner was average, but good. Large portions and you will not walk away hungry.

Great typical Bavarian dishes. Good-natured atmosphere with a large table and benches for at least 20 people to share of course. There are also tables of 6 for small groups. The staff is attentive despite the busy Saturday evening. Not to be missed: the Kaiserschmarn served in its pan (the large portion can be shared if eaten as dessert).

Atmosphere and location was great. Amazing staff attentive, timing was perfect and always available when needed. Food was also great but it was your typical schnitzel and potato salad. Plain and simple.

Very nice, small brewery. The food was great, the bread soup was well seasoned as a starter and I had the "Bavarian bleu" for the main course. Huge portion, very tasty, the other dishes at our table were also well received across the board. Absolute recommendation, reservations on the weekend are helpful.

A review for Koreans. Schweinhaxen (20€) is hard on the outside, so it's not as delicious as I thought, and that's just it. It would be better to look for other expensive and good places. I paid by credit card, but no tip was given.

Bavarian atmosphere, delicious food, few tourists. a place to feel good, I like to go there in the afternoons during the week. Roast is served with the crust separately (not drowned in the sauce) - coleslaw like mom's. Probably the best service (Armin) in Munich!

Finally a good roast pork again. The Kaiserschmarrn is looking for competition l. Service was as you would like it to be... Cheeky and quick when refilling. You shouldn't have a problem with the volume.

When I'm asked where you can go for Bavarian food in downtown Munich, I only have one recommendation: the Dürnbräu. The food is not cheap but excellent! The Kaiserschmarrn is the best in Munich. The service is very friendly. It is very loud in the shop, but Dürnbräu is still a recommendation.

Haxe war ein bisschen zäh, Schweinsschnitzel war sehr fein. Tolle Bretzelpanade.

This long established place definitely serve very nice traditional Bavarian food. The food portion is big and hearty. The service can be hit and miss as the restaurant is popular with both the local and tourists.

Super Essen, leider wenig teuer. Das Gasthaus ist klassisch eingerichtet und schreit förmlich nach: Bayern!

Schöne Wirtschaft, nettes Personal kinderfreundlich, spontan angefragt und auch schon ohne Reservierung (mit 6 Personen) einen Tisch bekommen. Sonst aber schon reserviert, aber einfach nachfragen. Sie sind alle sehr nett.

Obwohl sehr touristisch (liegt ja auch sehr zentral) herrscht hier eine freundliche, fast herzliche Atmosphäre. Das Essen war gut, zügig gebracht, exzellenter Service, Preise in Ordnung. Reservierung ist empfehlenswert.

Good solid choice for pretty standard Bavarian fare. Franziskaner beer on tap. Was a bit quiet when we were there but it was early.

Cenato per San Silvestro in questo tipico locale con specialità Bavaresi in abbondanti porzioni. il personale molto cordiale e gentile. Servizi igienici puliti Abbiamo assaggiato molti piatti e bevuto molto quindi la serata è costata con mancia inclusa, circa 50€ a testa ma il costo mediamente è inferiore pur rimanendo alto

Sono stata a cena con il mio ragazzo, l'ambiente è caratteristico e carino, ma la cameriera è stata davvero poco gentile. Il cibo era ok, ma nulla di eccezionale. Ad eccezione per i dolci e la birra, quelli meritavano.

Haben schnell unseren Platz bekommen, das Essen kam schnell und die Bedienung war ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Essen war in Ordnung, aber die Preise zu hoch für das was es ist. 30€ für ein kleines Cordon Bleu mit etwas Kartoffelsalat geht gar nicht.

Ein sehr schönes Wirtshaus mit einem warmen Ambiente. Nicht zu wenig und nicht zu viel. Essen war einwandfrei. Service mit dem entsprechenden Münchner Charme erstklassig. Am ersten Abend Münchner Schnitzel und Backhändl im Sonneblumkernmantel. Am zweiten Tag einen RIESEN Kaiserschmarrn zusammen geteilt. Alles sehr zu empfehlen. Freuen uns bald wieder hier Gast sein zu dürfen. Vielleicht ja schon Übermorgen oder Samstag oder an beiden Tagen?! 😋
