The food, service and ambience really leave nothing to be desired. I can therefore highly recommend a visit to everyone. There is only a small deduction because of the very strict limitation on the time you can spend there. My companion and I each had a main course, a starter and a drink. Unfortunately there was no time for dessert, which we actually wanted to order. Of course I understand the concept and the idea behind it, but it would definitely contribute to the cozy atmosphere if the occupancy could be organized a little more "flexibly". But as I said, that doesn't detract from the taste or the friendly treatment of the employees. It's a great restaurant that I'll happily return to.

I come here for korean fried chicken

Overrated and overpriced - the first time I went, I waited at the front door for almost 10 minutes until somebody came and told me "there are no tables" without even a sorry. The second time we booked in advance and as soon as we arrived the first thing we were told is "you get the table for 1.5 hours". Food was ok but overpriced, service was average. The japchae had almost no flavour. Will be avoiding from now on - there is far better Korean food elsewhere in Munich! This place is simply overhyped. We ordered 3 drinks, 2 starters, 1 main and paid almost €70!

The fried chicken is okay, the spiciness is average, and it’s not cheap. I seemed to have left a tip in a daze? But the service was very good, so I put up with it. It's a popular restaurant, and people line up after seven o'clock.

It's really crazy, don't lie, it's better than the kimbokki I ate in Korea. Koreans who are tired of sausages should definitely go there. The price is a bit high.

We had dinner at Anju89, first of all Reservation is recommended! We ordered tteokbokki and Korean fried chicken with Volcano sauce. I just wanted to try Tteokbokki for the first time so I can’t judge how good it was, I just didn’t like the texture of rice cakes, the sauce itself was so rich and so spicy. On the other hand Korean fried chicken with volcano sauce was so delicious and juicy, even though we were literally burning due to the heat :)) there are also other sauce options so for sure try it. The chicken is served with pickled Radish that was super yummy, also the fries were very well cooked. We also ordered some Kimchi extra which was awesome. We tried Seoul forest as a cocktail which tasted like heaven, unbelievably delicious. The Minz lemonade was ok. We ended the meal with Lotus cheesecake, which was another wow experience in Anju89. In total, I’d say the decoration is 10/10, the service is really good and food totally worth the price you pay.

The bulgogi dish was good but the ratio of meat to vegetables was very small and I felt still hungry after the meal. The restaurant got more expansive and the portions smaller over the years.

89Anju is a real enrichment for all lovers of Korean cuisine in Munich. As soon as you enter, the restaurant impresses with its authentic, lovingly designed interior, which offers a perfect mix of traditional charm and modern flair. The cozy atmosphere immediately invites you to feel good and creates the feeling of being immersed in a small corner of Korea. The food at 89Anju is a real highlight! Each dish not only came extremely quickly, but was also beautifully presented. Anyone who loves Korean cuisine will get their money's worth here. The service is also a big plus: the team is incredibly friendly and attentive. You really feel welcome and well looked after here, which rounds off the entire visit and makes it particularly pleasant. A tip: Be sure to reserve in good time! Word gets around about the quality and places sell out quickly.

The beef bibimbap is one of two reasons to go there

I went to eat Korean food here because my Greek coworker said it was delicious. I ordered bulgogi and asked if it came with rice, so I ordered it with cola. In general, everything was smooth and I thought it was a Korean chef, but when I saw that there were Thai people on staff, it didn't seem like the chef was Korean. The bulgogi tasted good, but what was a bit disappointing was that there was too much broth. It's not at the level of a delicious bulgogi restaurant in Korea, but it seems to be at the level of a typical restaurant's bulgogi. However, it is completely different from authentic bulgogi because the vegetables have the crunchy texture of a Southeast Asian-style stir-fried dish. I couldn't take pictures of the food because my phone battery was low, but there were no glass noodles and the onions were cut a little differently. It contains vegetables that are not found in Korean bulgogi, and the meat is cut in a different way. Anyway, overall it tasted okay.

Really something different - great lively atmosphere, food all delicious - quite diverse and what you would imagine Korea to be - and the service was very nice. Absolutely recommended for those looking for variety!

Relatively expensive, especially it even costs 2 euros for an extra bowl of rice.

We come to Anju regularly and are always thrilled with the food. This is by far the best Korean fried chicken in Munich. The waitresses are friendly and accommodating and all the other dishes are also delicious and authentic. Even if it's full, you don't have to wait long for it. We always enjoy coming here and look forward to every visit. No matter pb for take away or or for dine in food.

It's always great here and is very reminiscent of Seoul.

Best Korean Fried Chicken I’ve ever had

Very good food and clearly different from classic Asian cuisine. No standard curries and co. So suitable for anyone who would like to try out new flavors. Food was great, every course. Staff very attentive, nothing was missing. Stylishly furnished, but you should take a jacket or something similar with you, either the door was open from time to time or the ventilation was running, there was a bit of an unpleasant draft in some places. But still a very successful evening 👌🏻

It was a great culinary experience. The Anju Spritz cocktail is very tasty. KFC Chicken with Jalapeno Mayo Sauce is plenty and filling. 6 pieces are enough. And dessert… Lotus World Cheesecake… It tastes incredibly good. I will definitely come back. Note: you must make a reservation.

The KFC with Snow Onion and the Bulgogi were incredibly delicious!! Very attentive and nice service. The food came after a reasonable amount of time and the price-performance ratio is good for Munich. The only drawback: the tables are very narrow and it is very loud. On the other hand, it is of course authentic for street food.

Please make a branch in Nürnberg and Koblenz

Food was okayish. Not sure about all the hype. But then again we did a take out so that could be a reason for okayish food. Atmosphere is good. The place was crazy packed. Service is excellent though.

The meal was much more generous than what is usually served at Korean restaurants overseas. The taste was closer to the taste of Korea. Recommended.

I've had Anju on my "to do" list for more than a year and it was finally there. It still exceeded my expectations! I went straight back the next day because it was so good! So I can only recommend it.

I and my family went there twice. The food and service are great!

I used to like this restaurant, but after my last visit I'm disappointed. I ordered the kimchi stew from the lunch menu, expecting a delicious, rich soup with tofu, pork and vegetables. Unfortunately, what I received didn't meet my expectations: a tiny portion in a very small pot, with just a few small pieces of tofu, a thin slice of pork and some kimchi. There was also rice – and that for 12 euros! I find it incredible that you can charge this price for such a small portion. In other restaurants you can get a larger starter soup for less money. Price-performance ratio is not right here at all, that's really outrageous. This was the last visit for me!

The fried chicken was very good, though the portions were too big for me, so we had to take the rest to go. However, the real highlight was the drinks—great options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

It was one of the best experiences I have had. The staff, the food, the flavour, the atmosphere, everything about it was so vibrant. We were lucky to go during their second anniversary and had a lot of fun with the games. Definitely would recommend. They also serve halal chicken and beef!

I miss Asian food a bit. 89Anju is the most recommended Korean food in Munich. It was raining today, so we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. The girl who serves is very cute. The kimchi tofu hot pot is very authentic, and the bibimbap is also quite rich. The only one that everyone recommends is the Korean fried chicken. We think it is ordinary and it is a restaurant that we can visit again.

Why do you write 0:00 a.m. in the opening hours and not a note that the kitchen closes at 10:00 p.m.? Why can't you answer the phone when people call you ten times in a row? Yesterday I got out of bed at 10 p.m. only to be told 8 km later that the kitchen was closed. I wasn't the only one behind me, there were three Indian students who were just as excited as we were. This is extremely unprofessional and especially the behavior of the slightly smaller Asian woman/girl with the glasses was very unfriendly, incomprehensible and not customer-friendly. There are people whose success has gone to their heads and they end up thinking that they can treat their customers however they want because the store is running anyway, that's how the girl seemed to me. I still wish you all the best and fewer employees like this girl. So thank you for your quick response Point 1. No, your statement is not correct and the opening times were not entered correctly at the time in question and I am not stupid or please don't try to play me for a fool here because several guests have complained about this while I was there. Point 2. Regarding the extremely unfriendly "girl" at the reception, I didn't feel that way, it's a FACT so stop playing me for a fool and using your "wrong psychology" that you can do with your employees, but you can't do that with them me. They're probably the girl who wrote this answer. Point 3. I would also like to point out that you are in no way capable of criticism and that you reject all accusations/shortcomings in your answer. This only refutes the fact that their behavior is very immature and childish. They have to understand one thing: Customer is king and their employee was disrespectful and they don't want to admit it/was or admit it (putting blinders on like a small child) and on top of that they are lying about it Opening hours of the kitchen and added them later.

I’ve heard many times from colleagues and friends that this place serves tasty food and finally had an opportunity to come here after making a reservation (recommended)! They did not betray my expectation. The food was amazing and the staffs were all friendly and attentive. If your group is less than five the table you book will be kept only for 1.5 hours so make sure you have enough time to eat all the dishes you order. ;)

Food was very expensive and not good. I ordered Korean fried chicken (with bones) and sweet onion sauce. The chicken wings were cold and drowning in sauce. Next time I better go to KFC and put mayonnaise on top of my meal. Would probably taste the same, but with warm chicken

I absolutely love this restaurant. Everything is perfect. The food, atmosphere, ambience, and service. It can get really busy sometimes but they accommodate you pretty quickly.

My go to order: Boneless chicken wings with Jalapeño Mayo! Good vibe of the place overall, I feel although a little pricey for the quantity we get. I’d also recommend the Kimchi Fried Rice and Shrimp Mandu

What a find! After heavy German meals, we were craving Korean food and this place did not disappoint. We had pretty low expectations after we searched a couple places in downtown but everything we ordered here was pretty authentic. Their kimchi stew was better than Korea (as quoted by my dad) and yangnyum fried chicken was also really good! Portions were generous and it was really cute inside. Worth the trip up, I’d come back for sure :)
