Mmaah - Korean BBQ Express in München

We were there 20 minutes before closing time and waited to be served. The young man with the cap and glasses made us wait and told us shortly beforehand that they wouldn't be taking anything while we waited 20 minutes and obviously saw us. We don't know if it was maybe because of our skin color because he looked at us so disparagingly and expelled us. Unfortunately, no more racist shops

1 star is even too much. You arrive early enough before the store closes and are then made to wait until it was just before 10 p.m. to then go to one To be said in an impossible disrespectful tone at !21:50! “It’s already 10 p.m. we’re closed” and then leaving without comment. I haven't experienced such disrespectful behavior in a long time. It's just about the tone of the young man :) you can also say this in a respectful tone and not in a derogatory way. It's not my place to let out when I'm stressed. Never again. I wouldn't even give the store another chance just because of that guy :) Maybe you should teach the employee some manners.

If you want to eat authentic Korean food, you'll find it two streets away, but if you're just in the mood for great fast food, Mmaah is the right place for you. The new branch on Hohenzollernstrasse is even better in terms of seating and ambience. I thought No. 10 was perfect to start with: the chicken was marinated with real Korean chili sauce, and the bulgogi was okay too. The potatoes were a great change and went great with the meat. The Korean Fried Chicken is also solid and the portion is really huge. Only the kimchi pancakes were a flop, they were just oily rice pancakes with no texture.

Very good fried chicken. The taste of the food is delicious. Nice staff and eating there for a short time is also ok. Food was fresh and well seasoned.

A varied selection of dishes, quite authentic. The meat is cooked quite well. Be careful, if it says spicy, it's really spicy. Not much seating, and don't expect a restaurant—it's a café with delicious street food at quite a bit of a price.

The music and food are really great

When I still lived on Theresienstrasse, this was my absolute favorite place to order from. Unfortunately I've moved, but it's a pleasure to eat there every time I'm in the neighborhood again 💖

The food is amazing- really hits the spots. It’s affordable and filling too. There just aren’t many dine-in spaces available, which is such a hustle. And there’s no washroom for guests.

The service attitude of the clerk was very poor. There was no toilet in the store. The clerk told me that I could borrow a toilet from the bakery across the street but was refused (I even bought two loaves before asking). The dumplings were not as delicious as the Korean dumplings I bought over the counter. The quantity of Korean fried chicken was small and there were potato chips underneath? French fries? The part of the potato that is not dipped in sauce is delicious. I wonder if it would be better if I could put the sauce on the side and use it for dipping. There are very few seats in the store and it should be mainly for takeout. The seats are not suitable for families with children.

Absolutely loved the meal I had. It hit all the nodes of my taste buds. Unfortunately there’s no bathroom, so if you need to come here, especially if you are coming from faraway, make sure to use the bathroom somewhere else.

one of the tastiest Korean fast foods. The staff of the facility is very polite. Everything is quick and tasty. I recommend it to everyone for takeaway and in the restaurant. There is little space inside, just a few tables. There is a summer terrace.

Didn't come to eat at all - so only the poor service was rated here: Ordered here via delivery service at 9:19 p.m., order was confirmed immediately "delivery time in 50-55 minutes". Instead I received a cancellation at 10:04 p.m.! Extremely unpleasant if you are actually expecting delivery at this point! It was my first and probably last attempt, because I don't like that kind of behavior!

It’s an ok place, especially for an evening to quickly grab something or eat there. The atmosphere could be better. Food is 4/5. Staff is very nice and polite.

I recently ordered some takeaway and was very pleased! The food was delicious and I didn't have to wait long for it to be ready. The service was also friendly. The portion (size M) was completely sufficient and really filled me up. All in all, a great experience – I’d love to come back!

The chicken is halal and tastes very tasty. It was cooked perfectly and the L portion left me very full. I can only recommend it!

So, I don't know where the great reviews come from. Maybe bought? The rice is mush. The flavor is created through the sauce As we were waiting for the food, a manager (?) came behind the counter and took a piece of chicken and ate it without washing his hands. Woohoo There were no Korean drinks apart from the Milkis. We wanted to use the toilet: there wasn't one, we should go to the bakery opposite. There was no answer to the question of how the service staff went to the toilet. All in all it has little to do with Korean food. Is a franchise from Berlin.

Service was efficient and friendly. The sauce on the chicken was tasty. The chicken and potatoes were cooked nicely. The beef Mandu didn’t really stand out as the meat inside not seasoned enough. The portion size and the price of the menu fit well together. Overall, it wasn’t outstanding, but it was still quite nice. Well accessible through the nearby tram.

Great place with amazing food for reasonable price. While the place definitely is a fastfood-type joint, i’d say it is a fine full meal with rice, salad and some meat/sauce. Not a fancy restaurant but something to grab while meeting with a friend. Will definitely eat here again. 5/5

We ate here for the first time and loved it. Good service, uncomplicated, light and very tasty food. Price/performance ratio absolutely top. The meat was high quality and the ingredients were typically Korean. I can recommend the Power Combo, where you have a starter, main course and a drink. What's really cool is that you can do a few pull-ups in front of the store (10, 15 and 25 pieces) and you get a free meal, for example (if you do 25 pull-ups).

The shop was clean, got a fast food joint feeling. You order on teleprompters and self service. The food: we had the fried chicken and the beef bulgogi and hot chicken, with a side of normal gyoza, all with potatoes. The food is really nothing to get excited about. The fried chicken isn't bad, but also nothing special. Everything else was basic AF, gyoza tasted actively bad, like it had low quality filling or is fried in old oil. Nothing here tastes close to authentic Korean food in any way. I will not be coming back here.

Unfortunately, our visit to Mmaah was disappointing. The food was okay overall, but the rice was cooked mushy and had hardly any taste and only the sauce.. Unfortunately, both my mother and I got food poisoning after eating it. I understand that extra caution needs to be taken in the summer, but this should be a given in a restaurant. It was our first visit there and we were keen to try the restaurant. My mother felt bad that evening, and the next day I had a fever and other symptoms. We hadn't eaten anything else that could have caused this reaction. Overall, our experience was unfortunately very disappointing. Although I really wanted to try it.

Small restaurant on the street, so of course not a particularly nice atmosphere in my opinion. But the people were very friendly and the food was exactly what they expected and that's why it's 5 stars.

This password concept is a welcome change. I tried bulgogi with rice once and the potato version another time and it was very tasty. The chicken bites are also impressive. Always my pleasure.

It tastes alright but it’s no where close to kbbq. Disappointed but price is good for the amount of food you get if you’re ok with it not tasting like kbbq. Also very friendly staff and food came out fairly quick.

Great place to get food! Went there for lunch on a Sunday and a few tables were filled. They have a total of seven tables for the customers to eat in so yes… the restaurant is quite small but good enough I guess. We tried their special classic which is half bulgogi and half hotgogi on rice with salad on the side and their crispy chicken classic which is their crispy chicken with sweet spicy sauce on rice and also with salad on the side. Both of them tasted fresh, perfectly cooked, and tasted well above average. Their price to portion ratio is definitely still considerable. We also had extra crispy chicken bites with soy garlic sauce, these were amazing! The service and the atmosphere were also not bad but nothing special.

The food was very good, you can choose between different portion sizes. The price is reasonable for what you get. We will definitely come back next time we are in Munich!

Friendly staff! The chicken with chili sauce is so worth the hype. My boyfriend is a big fan of Korean chicken and it is 100% to his liking (and also mine ofcourse) the fries are these round potato parts, they were crispy and tasteful. If you are in München I would highly recommend this place, especially if you're a tourist.

Would never order from there again, hair everywhere in my boyfriend's food too, just disgusting!!!!!

Has as much of Korean BBQ as a schnitzel on a Nile cruise... it's just small pieces of meat drowned in indefinable sauces.

The place is very small but quite nice. The menu offers vegetarian options too and the size of the portions is totally fitting. The problem is that the food looks better than it tastes. They use too much sause on top of everything and I also don´t think the quality of the products is worthed. It is not super bad but there are better places and also we both didn´t digest the food at all and it made us feel have stomach ache until the next day.

Well, what can you say about that? I think it's a cool concept. , especially if you don't feel like eating a kebab or a burger again. Price-wise, completely okay. For take away a 10/10, when eating on site it loses a bit of its flair because I don't want to eat out of a cardboard basket on site. So if you're in the mood for Korean BBQ, you've come to the right place!!!! 👍

Most disgusting food I’ve tasted in a while. Staff was rude, half of our food was cold and the chicken was absolutely disgusting. Don’t recommend at all.

I didnt quite like the food, but for people who enjoy korean food it must be good.

We chose the lunch special (chicken with spicy sauce with rice and cabbage) which was ready immediately after 2 seconds. The chicken pieces are all ready beforehand - nothing is warm. Also, the sauce was way too sour. We had chicken bites with sweet chili sauce as a side dish.. I've never had such a bad sweet chili sauce.. what a shame. Unfortunately, it is not at all comparable to the Koranic food that I otherwise know.

I’ve ordered from here multiple times and each time was delicious! Can definitely recommend this place. I will try it out in person soon!

Korean-inspired fast food deli, but not authentic Korean. Had the Bulgogi Beef on rice and vegetarian fried dumplings. Food quality was mediocre at best, mostly pre-made or canned. Taste was also just ok, prices are comparatively below average for the area but in my opinion expensive for the quality served. Interior has a small seating area and is Korea themed. Service quick, staff friendly.

The food was really inferior. I ordered the crispy chicken classic and once the mandu chilli. The “salad” was a joke, just dumped 3 grams of cabbage on it. The meat smelled disgusting and tasted like it was rotten and I almost had to throw up. Hardly any sauce on the meat, everything tastes dry. You can tell that the quality is just bad with every bite. This shop has nothing to do with Koreans. Not recommended for the price you can also get real Korean food.

Kartoffeln und Rindfleisch waren gut. Hähnchen war leider viel zu trocken für mich. Die Soßen bilden den eigentlichen Geschmack. Wenn man etwas neues ausprobieren möchte kann ich es empfehlen.

Das Restaurant ist sehr gut mit der Straßenbahn zu erreichen, die fast vor der Tür hält. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und das Essen wird relativ schnell zubereitet. Preislich kann man sich auch nicht beschweren und die Portionen sind auch nicht zu klein. Man kann aus einer Handvoll Beilagen wählen, ich persönlich würde das Kimchi empfehlen, da es wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Ich hatte das knusprige Hühnchen mit Reis, das hat super geschmeckt, nur die Soße fand ich etwas zu wenig, deshalb ein Stern Abzug.

Wir haben unsere Gerichte zum mitnehmen bestellt. Essen war lecker und auch schnell fertig. Das Lokal hat Imbiss-Charakter und ist daher nicht sehr gemütlich.

Es ist ein Korean bbq und die haben auf volle Lautstärke 21savage und Travis gepumpt. Essen war trozdem strong

Sehr leckeres Essen nur mehr Plätze wären gut angebracht, da mit uns welche Stress angefangen haben, weil wir zu lange auf dem Platz saßen und sie keine mehr bekommen haben

Waren heute spontan im Mmaah. Das Essen war in Ordnung. Hat uns jetzt aber auch nicht vom Stuhl gehauen. Ich persönlich habe etwas mehr erwartet. Hatten ein Hähnchen Gericht und ein Veggie Gericht gehabt, geschmacklich hat uns bisschen mehr Geschmack gefehlt.

Wolt로 주문 했고, 배달 중 조금 식었지만 치킨이 매우 크리스피 했습니다. 갈릭간장소스도 맛있었어요. 추가로 스윗칠리 소스를 주문했는데 한국의 전형적인 치킨소스를 생각해서 시켰지만 맛은 그냥 묽은 고추장맛이 나서 조금 실망했습니다.

Qualität der Zutaten ist nicht gut. Ein gerade noch ausreichender Geschmack wird durch Fertigsoßen erreicht. Schnellrestaurant mit Selbstbedienung, dementsprechend keine Atmosphäre.

Ich habe mir heute das erste mal dort Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Das Essen war wirklich super lecker. Gut gewürzt und wirklich hervorragend. Da hole ich mir auf jeden Fall öfters etwas zum Essen :)

Very delicious food. Not too much place to sit down for bigger groups, since they have only 4 tables for max 5. Still recommend and you can have takeaway anyways.

Draußen sowie drinnen ist ausreichend Platz zum sitzen, das Essen kam innerhalb 5-10min und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Empfehlen tu ich das Sweet Chicken mit Kimchi als Sidedish und der hausgemachten Limo. Preislich auch völlig okay, komme gerne wieder!

Ich verstehe manche Bewertungen einfach nicht. Es ist ja wohl klar, dass das kein koreanisches Restaurant ist, sondern koreanisches FastFood. Und mit diesem Wissen gehe ich auch dorthin. Mir schmeckt es mega. Vor allem wenn man verkatert ist.

Was pretty decent. The sides are quite good. Service is nice and food served quickly.

This place is amazing. The food was delicious and the treatment was great. They also gave us a free dessert at the end, which is really rare to find, especially in Europe.
