Seit Jahrzehnten fester Bestandteil meiner Mittagspause. Grundsolides Essen und zweckmäßiges Ambiente, wenn man schnell was essen möchte in der Ecke.

Kleines Restaurant, auf Studenten ausgerichtet. Authentische und sehr leckere Speisen zu günstigen Preisen.

Authentische koreanische Küche, Schweinebauch und Nudelsuppe sind die besten in Deutschland!

Der Empfang war eher gleichgültig. Ein herzliches Willkommen sieht anders aus. Das Essen war soweit gut, aber die Portionen sind eher überschaubar groß. Wir waren zu zweit und mussten 4 Gerichte bestellen, um satt zu werden. Einen weiteren Stern muss ich abziehen, weil das Restaurant die Zahlung mit Karte verweigert. Das ist völlig aus der Zeit gefallen und mangelnder Kundenservice. Das Ambiente ist extrem einfach und nicht einladend. Sauberkeit ist auch keine Priorität. Wir mussten erstmal den Tisch abwischen, damit man die Essensreste der vorherigen Gäste nicht am Ärmel kleben hat.

Das beste Essen, das ich je hatte – kein Witz. Wir bestellen hier eigentlich wöchentlich, aber heute waren wir auch mal vor Ort – und ich hab direkt angefangen zu essen, bevor ich überhaupt ans Foto denken konnte. So gut ist es. Absolutes Must-try, bestes Restaurant in München! Das Personal ist zudem super lieb und macht den Besuch noch schöner. Einziger Wunsch: Bitte wieder nach Moosach liefern – das fehlt uns wirklich! 🙏

Dieses Restaurant ist das schlechteste, das ich je erlebt habe. Die Lieferung hat ewig gedauert. Und dann kam auch noch ein Gericht, bei dem Schweinebauch mit Kimchi eigentlich Schweinefleisch enthalten sollte! Wie kann man nur Kimchi dazugeben und das Fleisch vergessen? 🤨 Ich vermute stark, dass das Absicht war. Die Beilage war winzig und kostete über 4 Euro. 🥲 Es war eine furchtbare Erfahrung, dort zu bestellen, obwohl Wolt mir den Kaufpreis für das schlechte Essen erstattet hat.

Wer authentisches koreanisches Essen zu einem fairen Preis sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Der Kimchi-Eintopf, den ich hier hatte, kostete unter 10 Euro (zum Mittagessen) und war einfach köstlich. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Sehr liebes Personal und super leckeres authentisches Essen. Wirklich noch eine Perle in München mit traditions Charakter. Die Preise sind für die Portions Größen super fair und es ist immer einen Stop wert.

Richtig tolle authentische Küche, wo alles frisch zubereitet wird! Besonders das Bibimbap ist zu empfehlen. Drinnen super schlicht aber trotzdem angenehm und einladend, wobei man im Sommer auch draußen sitzen kann. Wichtig ist jedoch: man kann nur Bar zahlen!!

Ich fahre nur deswegen nach München rein. Sehr leckeres koreanisches Essen. Die Mittagszeit sollte man meiden(sehr viel los), entweder direkt nach Öffnung essen gehen oder Nachmittag. Ich bringe immer meine eigenen Behälter mit, um noch Essen für zuhause mitzunehmen. Trotz viel Andrang wird das Essen schnell zubereitet. Den Schweinebauch kann ich sehr empfehlen. Ansonsten klassisches Dolseot Bibimbap geht immer.

Leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Die Portionen wurden über die Jahre immer kleiner, der Preis aber immer teurer. Bulgogi früher immer um die 8-9€ kostet jetzt über 15€. Bin in der Tür wieder umgedreht als die Preise sah...

Günstig und schnell für Studenten wenn du keine Zeit hast

Ich kenn den zum koreaner seit ich 18 bin, jetzt bin ich 34; es hat paar mal die besitzer gewechselt und der geschmack war dann dementsprechend anders. Seit 2023 gehe ich wieder hin, da es wieder so schmeckt wie damals zu meiner jugend (zumindest der schweinebauch☺️). Die dame fand ich bisher auch freundlich. Einige kommentare beschweren sich wegem dem service, das ist ein imbiss... wenn man koreaner kennt oder bestimmte asiatische orte, dann ist das einfach ein neutrale handhabung mit dem kunden. Wenn man mehr service erwartet, sollte man in ein restaurant gehen, wo man auch mehr zahlt.

Man bekommt, was man bezahlt: schnelles, warmes und leckeres Essen, ideal für ein schnelles Mittagessen. Vor allem bei Studenten beliebt. Die Bestellung erfolgt komplett selbst – man bestellt an der Theke, setzt sich, holt sich sein Essen und räumt den Teller selbst ab. Es gibt keine Bedienung am Tisch, aber das Essen ist gut und für den Preis schnell zubereitet. Es wirkt wie ein beliebter Treffpunkt für Studenten und ist es wahrscheinlich auch. Perfekt für ein schnelles Mittagessen.

Es ist nur ein Imbiss, kein richtiges Restaurant. Das Essennwar war aber hervorragend und auch das Personal ist sehr nett.

Vor ein paar Jahren hätte ich noch gesagt, eine top Adresse für koreanisches Essen zu fairen Preisen. Aber mittlerweile ist sowohl die Potionsgröße sehr viel kleiner geworden und auch die Qualität hat leider sehr nachgelassen. Bulgogi mittlerweile einfach nur noch klebriger/nasser Reis, und das Fleisch war so eine winzige Portion und dafür dann 14 € zu verlangen geht echt gar nicht. Also ich bin sehr sehr enttäuscht. Ab jetzt werde ich mir eine neue Adresse für gutes, koreanisches Essen suchen!

Eine Institution für authentisches koreanisches Essen in Schwabing! Super Qualität und trotzdem günstig. Tipp: Vorher überlegen, was man will (am Eingang muss schnell bestellt werden), dann geht es ganz fix.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Der Kimchi-Eintopf wird mit perfekt gereiftem Kimchi zubereitet und ist einfach köstlich. Das Schweinefleisch ist scharf und lecker, genau wie im Lieblingsrestaurant. Das Bibimbap ist durchschnittlich, aber die Beilagen sind ein Traum! Ich habe auf meinen Reisen durch Europa schon in vielen koreanischen Restaurants gegessen, aber nirgendwo sonst bekommt man diese Qualität zu diesem Preis. Es ist wirklich günstig und lecker! Und super schnell! Ich glaube nicht, dass es Deutschen gefallen würde. Es ist Selbstbedienung, man muss im Voraus bezahlen und kann nur bar zahlen, daher sind die deutschen Bewertungen wohl nicht so gut. Wenn ihr koreanisches Essen vermisst, kommt unbedingt hierher!

Das Essen ist wirklich lecker, es schmeckt wie selbstgemacht, aber die Preise sind für die Portionsgrößen viel zu hoch. Bulgogi ist mein Lieblingsgericht, aber 13,90 € sind einfach zu viel! 😥

Für mich mittags eine top Adresse zum Essen. Alles selbst gemacht und schmeckt gut. Man sollte im Restaurant keinen Service erwarten oder eine cozy Einrichtung. Wem also gutes Essen wichtiger ist als chichi ist hier richtig

Authentisches koreanischen Essen zum kleinen Preis

War hier bereits vor 20 Jahren Essen und es ist noch genauso wie früher von der Einrichtung. Dafür ist das Essen und der Preis unschlagbar... Schweinebauch mit KimChi... ein Traum. Meine jede 2. Bestellung ist dort genau das Gericht. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich.

War leider nicht so meins. Habe im Münchner Westen das erste Mal Bibimbap gegessen und wieder darauf gefreut und hier war es kalt, ohne Ei, einfach fad. Wusste auch erst nicht, ob man sich setzen soll oder vorne bestellen soll, da kam erst mal keiner und als einer da war, wurde ich erst mal ignoriert. Am Ende hatte ich mein Getränk getrunken und Bibimbap aufgegessen, machte mich gerade an's Kimchi...da fragte mich eine Mitarbeiterin ob "es mir zu scharf sei und ich es einpacken lassen will". Das ist nur eine höfliche Form, jemanden rauszuschmeißen und das grundlos. Denn warum sollte man etwas einpacken wollen, was ja angeblich "zu scharf sei". Die wollten nur, dass ich den Tisch frei mache, obwohl noch welche frei waren. Hier komme ich nicht mehr hin.

Essen ist gut aber hat aber über die Jahre etwas nachgelassen, Bulgogi immer noch Top aber Schweinebauch war schon mal intensiver - aber immer noch Welten besser als anderswo. Portionen sind leider deutlich kleiner geworden(insbesondere der Fleischteil)

Man darf das Lokal erst betreten, nachdem man bestellt hat, was etwas umständlich ist. Der Sitzbereich ist sehr klein und die Speisekarte recht begrenzt. Es gibt keine Reisnudelgerichte oder ähnliches, wie man es in einem koreanischen Restaurant erwarten würde. Die meisten Gerichte kosten um die 10 €, aber die Qualität war insgesamt nicht zufriedenstellend. Ich war insgesamt etwas enttäuscht.

Super Kimchi jjigae, sehr Preiswert

Wir gehen häufiger koreanisch Essen und müssen sagen, dass das Essen hier sehr lecker war. Wer in ein Restaurant möchte ist hier falsch, es ist eher eine Imbissbude mit Sitzgelegenheiten. Tischservice gibt es nicht, man muss sich das Essen am Tresen abholen. Die Portionen könnten aber es größer sein.

Das Foto der Fischer, die rauchend im Laden ausruhten, und das Foto des Kindes auf dem Rücken des Großvaters waren beeindruckend. Es erinnerte mich an meinen verstorbenen Großvater mütterlicherseits.

Wir wählten Nummer 3, Rindfleisch mit Reis. Das Rindfleisch war wirklich lecker, aber der Reis war etwas kalt, und für 13 € fand ich die Portion viel zu klein; vor ein paar Jahren kostete sie nur 9 €.

Einfacher Imbiss, sehr faire Preise. Schweinebauch für mich immer eine 10/10 !! Für Vegetarier empfehle ich das Saptsche Bap. Bei Bestellungen zum Mitnehmen am besten ein eigenes Gefäß mitbringen, sonst zahlt man Aufpreis.

Es ist gut, weil es koreanisches Essen ist, aber das WLAN ist nicht so gut, daher lohnt es sich nicht, weit von Ihrer Unterkunft wegzufahren. Wenn Ihre Unterkunft in der Nähe ist, ist es ein gutes Restaurant.

Essen war ok bis gut, Portionen angemessen, Selbstbedienung, Ambiente freudlos, sehr unfreundliche Angestellte, nur Barzahlung, aber bitte keine Cents. Würde hier nicht mehr hingehen und es auch nicht Freunden empfehlen.

Cheap Korean dishes mimicking real Korean food with limited ingredients!

Rustic, deliciously authentic. Super tasty, long-standing. Solid, consistently good quality. I don't understand the 1* reviews.

It was okay, but I wasn't 100% thrilled. The service and staff were very friendly. Personally, I gave it a 3/5 in terms of taste. I found the dishes to be quite oily/greasy, and some were "too spicy."

While traveling, I was craving Korean food and was a little tired of it, so this was the perfect place to eat without worrying about quality or anything. I saw that famous meme and went there, but it was kimchi stew. LOL. I didn't quite understand why that meme was going around. It didn't taste good, so my companions and I were curious. I travel a lot and have been to quite a few Korean restaurants, but every time I went to one, I was always a little impressed. Perhaps because it was near a university and a bit cheaper, it felt like a good value. It's okay for backpackers or those who really want to feel the value. My personal recommendation is to try something a little more seasoned, like pork or japchae rice, rather than kimchi stew. It's hard to make it taste bad. ^^

I ordered kimchi stew, bibimbap, and beer and enjoyed the meal. It was a little sweet, but it was still delicious. ^^*

The food was really delicious. 😋 The service wasn't that friendly, and there were way too many rules—it almost felt like the customers were a nuisance haha. 😒

It's been consistently good for decades. Of course, the prices have gone up a bit, but three people can eat their fill, including a drink, for €50, so you can't complain. The rice on the plate is a bit small compared to the sauce, but you get a free refill if you want it. The service is like you'd expect from Korea or China: fast and to the point, without unnecessary platitudes, but always helpful.

This place has definitely become worse. Chaotic ordering process meant my order was forgotten. The food is bland. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but with 5 items on the menu you need to guarantee they all taste good. Portions are relatively small, but I would forgive it if they tasted better. It's not difficult to make delicious Asian food. Sorry guys, but won't be coming back.

Ordered kimchi jigge. It didnt taste like a korean food, no side dishes, 3 small pieces of meat, too many kimchi, few tofus, watery rice…. Disappointed!

Absolutely outrageous and disrespectful to the wonderful Korean cuisine! I ordered bibimbap, and both on Wolt and here on Google, the pictures show it with beef fillet, as you would expect from bibimbap. However, it came with a tiny portion of ground beef, which was barely visible, let alone tasty.

We ordered lunch through Wolt. The food was delicious, but the portion sizes were very small. It was really too expensive (around €15). We could easily have eaten two portions.

It was my first time visiting the place, and I instantly fell in love with it. I’d happily recommend it to all my friends — it’s perfect when you want something quick, simple, but still comforting. The food tastes great, the price is fair, and the whole atmosphere just feels… right. I also like the photos on the wall — old fishing nets and faces of Korean people… I’m Chinese, and I’ve never been to Korea, but somehow those pictures also reminds me of my hometown, the smell of seaweed, river water, and the salty air on rainy days What I want to say is, I did read some comments saying, “It tastes like Chinese food,” “ it doesn’t taste like Chinese”but honestly, I don’t think that’s fair and nice to either culture. It tastes just like “ Zum Koreaner” — and that’s more than enough.

Warning! Current as of August 18, 2025. Smaller portions, can quickly become more expensive. The best BiBimPab in Maxvorstadt? I can't rate it, as it was my first, but the food is authentic, unfussy, and of the highest quality. A pleasant combination in a pleasant setting. Turn off your head. Pour on the sauce and dig in!

Super delicious food at fair prices!

There are no pictures because I was so busy eating. The two of us had stir-fried pork, bulgogi, and kimchi stew for 33 euros. The rice tasted like foreign rice that suited the locals' tastes, but it was okay. If you want a good value restaurant, definitely come here. Munich restaurants are expensive, but many locals also come here.

Good, affordable food with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, a homeless person was in the restaurant during our visit. Unfortunately, the owners aren't doing anything about it; only cash payments are accepted. Addendum to comment: I very much appreciate it when homeless people are helped. However, my understanding ends when the smell of the food makes it impossible for me to eat their (really good) food.

Korean food is spicy, interesting, and relies on contrasts in texture, flavor, and spiciness. Nothing, absolutely nothing, applies here! Staff: incompetent, unmotivated, grumpy, taciturn. The price is cost-effective, the taste is cost-effective, the service is cost-effective. I was abroad for a long time and suddenly remembered this Korean restaurant and came looking for it. It's the same taste I know, but it's neither more delicious nor worse. I don't think I'll visit again. And it's a Korean restaurant, but they use flying rice from Southeast Asia, so it was disappointing that the rice didn't have a chewy textureㅠㅜ

Authentic little Korean restaurant. You have to get your food at the counter, and you can only pay with cash.

The dishes are more flavorful at other restaurants; you just have to spend a few euros more. The atmosphere is very simple, comparable to a cafeteria. The menu isn't very diverse.

The food is like a nostalgia trip to Korea of many years ago. If you sat in a little restaurant in Seoul in 2004, this is what you would have eaten. It's authentic and if that's your jam: it's delicious. Don't listen to the people saying it tastes more like chinese. Those are the same that claim "pocha" is authentic... pocha is deilicious, but very much adopted to European taste. If you want the real deal, try zum Koreaner.

A restaurant recognized by Koreans!!!! I didn't expect there to be a Korean restaurant like this near my accommodation, but the food is so so delicious, just like a restaurant in Korea. Especially, the kimchi doesn't taste like it's from abroad, but like it's from Korea. I have to try a different menu tomorrow. It's really the best!!!!!!💗

Had a really great meal at Zum Koreaner in Munich! I ordered the Yukgaejjang and some Kimchi, and both were spot on. The soup was rich and spicy, with super tender beef and loads of flavor—just the kind of thing you want on a chilly day. The kimchi was really the highlight, it was fresh and had a nice balance of sour and spice. The place has a cozy, down-to-earth vibe, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. If you’re craving solid Korean food in Munich, this is a great spot!

I've tried many Korean restaurants in Munich, and the number has grown over the years. But here you always get solid, delicious, authentic Korean food. In other Korean restaurants, the food is so greasy and overpoweringly flavorful. I'm so grateful that there's still a restaurant in Munich that cooks traditional dishes so wonderfully delicious. Many thanks to the owners of this restaurant.

Pork belly is always great! 🐷❤️

I devoured two portions of pork belly. Now it's thundering a third time across the bowl. But it tastes so fantastic that I'll be back soon to devour this fantastic pork belly.

This is the best value restaurant. My friend from Sydney who went with me had kimchi fried rice and said it was so delicious! I highly recommend it😊

It was so nice to be able to eat really delicious Korean food in a foreign country. The owner was friendly and the stir-fried pork was especially delicious.

The owner himself was already a great restaurant. Seeing that the local Germans were enjoying it, we also felt even better and enjoyed it very much. I ordered some for tomorrow's breakfast and had it packed. Tomorrow, I'm planning to go to Salzburg to see Mozart's birthplace and the filming location of The Sound of Music, so I'm going to eat well and go today. I was able to get there quickly by tram from Munich Central Station, and the walk to the restaurant was full of local atmosphere, which was really nice. The sight of young people gathered together drinking beer was impressive, and the street view was beautiful, making it a perfect place for sightseeing. Thank you so much!

The food is excellent, with kimchi served with every dish, and the prices are very fair. Communication in German or English is difficult, but the owners are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, payment is cash only.

So, after 15 years of regular visits for the pork belly, a painful reassessment is now unfortunately necessary. I understand that prices have risen sharply during the coronavirus pandemic. But the fact that they first cut back on portions and then on quality is unacceptable in my opinion. It certainly can't be due to too few visitors; the place is regularly full and has a decent turnover. The minimalist, unassuming ambiance is only okay if you get a decent portion of inexpensive, delicious food. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. I can't really recommend it as it is right now.

I can't eat German food.. I've never eaten Korean food while traveling, but this is the first restaurant I've been to. You know the famous meme? It was really delicious. I felt really comfortable. And as expected from Bavaria, the meat in the kimchi stew was really delicious. There are two people who speak Korean, and you have to serve yourself, but that's a common culture in Korea.

Was there for pork belly – stayed for pork belly. The thing was so delicate, I briefly considered whether I should call him first name. Price-performance is solid: not free, but you get a lot for the money. Payment is made like grandma’s – in cash. Card payment? There isn't, and there's no WiFi either - the only thing that counts here is taste and your cash. The smell in the store? Let’s call it “authentic”. Mixture of deep fryer, kimchi and adventure. Close your nose and go through it – or just put the pork belly in, take a deep breath and belong.

The food tastes really good so far, but it could use more meat and the portions could also be larger.

I'm really surprised that they charge 13 euros for chewy and salty bulgogi with Southeast Asian rice. A reasonable price would be maybe 7 to 8 euros, but even for that I wouldn't want to eat it again. the quality is simply disappointing. Although it's a bit more expensive, next time I'll try another Korean restaurant nearby. I'm really disappointed.
