Total disappointment! Cold atmosphere. The front door is always open in winter! No vestibule! It's cold. Overpriced. No comparison to the beautiful dacha that used to be here. Too bad

The other location is better... the brekkie itself wasn't as good as always... service isn't the best either and the restaurant definitely needs renovation.

This cafe has exactly one vegan option, which is far more expensive than their egg drops. The so-called "Avomaniak" consists of brown bread, unseasoned avocado and a tasteless salad that takes up half the plate... I'm stunned...

“Perfect start to the day with 44 brekkies!” We were here for breakfast and tried the famous Egg Drops - absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared! The service was excellent, the waitresses were always friendly and with a smile on their faces. Particularly noteworthy are the drinks, which were simply great, and the fair prices - really unbeatable value for money for the amount of food. The music created a cool, relaxed atmosphere. Only the ambience is a bit reminiscent of a school canteen, but that hardly bothers you with this great overall package. We'll definitely be back!

The Gabriel-Max-Str branch of Brekkie in Rykestr, which I am a regular at, is so cute 🥰 The food quality and atmosphere are undoubtedly great 👏 The lovely owners make a difference by taking care of everyone individually! I had my all-time favorite, Avocado Garlic, highly recommend it 🙌🏻

The service was friendly and welcoming but unfortunately the food was pretty mediocre. Not bad by any means but not amazing, which is sad because we were really excited to try this spot. Decent coffee but very small serving. What is really frustrating is that for some bizarre reason, the sandwich ingredients don’t list any sauces, but they do actually come with a mayonnaise type sauce on them which for me was fine but for my partner was terrible as she hates mayo or mayo-ish sauces. Why not list this on the menu as part of the sandwich!? It lists every single ingredient except the sauce, of which there was a lot.

We were there on a Sunday morning and it got full quite quickly, so it's worth coming here relatively early on the weekend. The food was delicious, I'm a big fan of eggdrop sandwiches. In my opinion, the drinks prices are too high and the atmosphere is not very cozy. Still, I give it 4 stars because of the food. Simply delicious!

Delicious bacon egg drop with Americano coffee

came here on a Monday because on a Saturday morning it was too busy, Good value in the sandwiches. I appreciate when a restaurant dedicates themselves to one dish and makes it good. The sandwich was great, mine was a little cold but the taste was still decent. Latte's were delicious. Food was quite quick. I'd say 1 sandwich is more than enough for 1 smaller person, if you're taller you may be left wanting more

Get here early as you can end up queueing to get in. I was lucky enough to not have to and I can see why people do queue for it. They have a simple menu which mainly boils down to being a variation of egg and bread. But it is fantastically executed and it's delicious. The brioche is lightly toasted and soft on the inside and the bacon eggs and cheese were such a good combo. The staff were quick and friendly to interact with. I would highly recommend coming here!

just atrocious. small soggy soft white bread sandwiches for NINE euros that look like something out of a horror movie and are an absolute mess to eat. Still washing the after taste away an hour later. staff looked dissociated and embarrassed, rightfully, to be serving that food for that price. the cappuccino was ok but too small 🤷🏼‍♀️ the lighting inside is the opposite of cosy, we rather sat outside in autumn wetness.

Very strange experience. We just wanted to have two quick coffees (not rush hour, it was around 3:30 p.m.) and were ignored for 10 minutes. The waiter even consciously avoided direct eye contact, even though he was obviously idle. Very unprofessional. Miss the previous store.

I'm very disappointed. I can't understand the positive reviews after my visit at all. The food is overpriced and not really tasty. For a good coffee you should go somewhere else. In terms of taste, you can also have breakfast at McDonalds. The selection is also very limited. It's a shame, I still enjoyed going to my old restaurant...

Great breakfast sandwich, quality but variable and quite expensive

The food was delicious, although a bit expensive. However, it was very annoying that the door was constantly open - in the middle of October - which made it really impossible to sit without a jacket. It was cold. Everyone at all the tables was still wearing jackets and hats. Overall, it's not inviting to sit longer and order drinks, desserts or something similar. Apart from the fact that even when it was emptier, no service staff ever came by. In addition, it got quite loud when the street cleaners came by outside, which of course wasn't dampened by the open door. In my opinion, the tables were placed very close together so that more people could be seated. Unfortunately, cash payment is not possible, so you can only pay by card.

For me it's more Tik Tok hype than enjoyment. Service impersonal, food is alright, but not a special taste experience.

Horribly overhyped and expensive. Egg Brioche is sweet and salty at the same time?! Lost my appetite halfway through. In the case of the iced matcha latte, the powder was not prepared properly, which is why it was unpleasant to feel these powder grains when drinking. Chai and matcha latte tasted very watery. Hardly any taste!! Service was a bit chaotic, but at the end of the day they are still just people.

6.10€ for an iced matcha served in a Cortado cup, then cut with water when we asked for a bigger cup

Usually crowded but always worthy. They offer very tasty brioche sandwiches and good coffee. Service good and fast. Only thing I did not like is that you need to wait to be seated and you could end up waiting there.

Nice atmosphere, nice service. However, for the price, the brioche at eggdrop might not be that dry. More sauce would have helped, which unfortunately was only on the eggdrop and not in the eggdrop. Another star deduction because factual 3-star reviews are already deleted.

That’s why I would be very happy if this honest review would be liked and thus made visible.” The sandwiches were very tasty, I'm willing to go for these too, the orange juice was noticeably not fresh at €4/0.2l, I might also take the option of taking the food to go as the service wasn't there so recommended: On the first day when we wanted to eat, all the seats were full (although there was no queue), but we still asked if there was still somewhere we could sit down, since we don't know the location. This was followed by a very rude: Do you see any seats around here? The next day, however, we found a place outside, the crowd was big again, our bench was quite slanted, and the atmosphere wasn't really nice with toilets that could still be improved. More and more people came, we said to the cashier, who was trying to assign people seats, that we would be happy to pay, then there would be room again straight away, she just said that that was very nice, but she can do it herself?!?! We (two people) wanted to pay separately (which apparently is only possible inside at the checkout and not at the table), but the cashier was reluctant to do so. We should please work it out between us later.

Pretty decent egg drop! The brioche is just the right thickness lightly sweeten and toasted light golden brown, the scramble eggs are light and fluffy. Love the soft cheese and fresh avocado. The sauce is pretty sweet but not too overpowering. Coffee can be better but overall the egg drop make up for it :)

Food was really fantastic. However they have an automated American style tip prompt when you pay with card, and that was disappointing to see in Germany. It was not a round up option but a percentage option from 10-20%.

We had to wait quite a long time because there were a lot of orders, but I think 4.5€ for about 0.2l of coffee is quite a lot of money. The eggdrop sandwich is okay, not very high quality

Amazing service! We tried bacon double cheese garlic and avocado double cheese garlic and was so full in the end! The mixture of salty and sweet flavors was so tasty that we’ll come back again for sure! And we recommend iced chai latte with an espresso shot : Dirty iced Chai!

We arrived on Sunday at 3:30 PM without knowing the closing time. No one informed us that they would be closing in 30 minutes. Our food was served at 3:45 PM, and just five minutes later, the waitress came over to tell us that they would be closing in 10 minutes. I hadn’t even started my meal, and I had to rush to eat and drink as fast as I could. Then, the waitress suggested I take a plastic cup to carry my drink. This should not have happened. We should have been informed upon arrival that they were closing in 30 minutes, as it’s obvious that’s not enough time to eat properly. The service was terrible! I won't be coming back.

We came across this restaurant accidentally, and I am already thinking of buying my next plane ticket to Berlin, just so I can come again. I usually drink coffee because it is something to do, but I have to smother it in sugar and milk. Not here. Their coffee is delicious, and I will definitely ask what blend they use. Now for the Egg Drop. THE EGGDROP. I wish I could fit more inside me, or that I didn't leave tonight. I want to marry this dish. The flavour was amazing, and it was love at first sight. 😍 Definitely recommend, Actually this will be the only thing I will talk about for the next week.

We were in the hyped cafe for the first time and were quite disappointed. The service was subpar. After 10 minutes and after asking, a menu was given. The food took at least 20 minutes to arrive (which was still acceptable). The dishes were all unseasoned. The scrambled eggs on the brioche toasts were also quite tasteless. We wouldn't go there again given the prices. The question also arises as to whether an extra charge of €0.6 for oat milk is still justified these days when the latte already costs €4.2 and there are many cheap oat milk options. Therefore only 3/5

We came here today (Monday) late morning (11ish) and sat inside as it was a bit chilly for me. Service 3/5: I would say the girl was nice/fine. She seemed a bit tired and non-caring. She didn’t ask us how our meal was or checked in at any point. Food 3/5: The food was cold and it seemed like the eggs are not made fresh - kinda like the hotel scrambled eggs you get. Same with the bacon. I wondered if it was just the first bite and maybe it had been sitting for a while, but it wasn’t. The bread on a Monday also didn’t seem 100% fresh - still fine but just not as good as it could and should have been. My tea was served with a glass cup which is quite annoying as it’s too hot to actually hold and I had to wrap tissues around it. As a positive, my husbands coffee was great! All in all not terribly bad, just missing the details and care that would make it great. I do think that if we had come on a weekend when things are moving faster that it would be different - although I always wonder why that should be the case? Atmosphere 3/5: If you sit outside it’s a bit lore vibrant, but inside the lighting is dark and plants around the place seem to have been placed without much consideration. Just needs a bit of TLC ☺️ My husband would come back to give a second chance, I am not sure to be honest. I had a better experience at another place down the road, and considering it’s practically the only thing on the menu I would expect a great result no matter what day of the week.

Food is very “instagramable”, service is fast and attentive, we appreciate the possibility of paying by card. As many have mentioned, I would probably add an element of acidity to give the combos more flavor. We had the avocado double cheese garlic and the avocado ham and we were both very full at the end.

Really wanted to try it out. The brioche is super sweet and soft. Nothing special, not even in the combination with the toppings, we had the avocado, avocado+salmon and avocado+ham variants. The portion is often very clear. Unfortunately, the egg wasn't a highlight either. Waiters only speak English and the tables are only wiped down upon request, despite there being clear crumbs from the previous guest. All in all it's okay because it's something different and the shop opens at 9 a.m

It's okay. The bread is really very soft and sweet like milk bread. The egg isn't cooked particularly well and the entire combination of individual ingredients is kind of boring. We had the avocado and bacon sandwich and the salmon and avocado sandwich. It's missing something fresh and acidic to counteract the heaviness and skill of the cheese and sauce. Overall, rather boring and not my taste. The whole thing looks nice in photos. The service was okay, but they don't speak German. Wouldn't come again.

The food is delicious and the service is just perfect. People are so kind and friendly. It is also not as crowded as the rumors - you don't have to wait for hours since they have lots of tables and the welcoming staff works hard to not keep you waiting. The old ambience of the dacha was ruined, which was a shame. The wooden walls were especially nice. The bread was airy, the egg was a bit dry and you almost couldn't taste the cheese. Would have liked some sauce, mayo or something.
