Sfera in Berlin

This is outrageous! Got peach salad. The salad had 1 basil leaf and 3 slices of peach!!! No seasoning nothing just chopped up tomatoes and peaches. I cant believe they are charging 12 euros for this garbage. Seriously look at the salad! Shame on you guys for serving this trash and calling it salad. Shame on you! What a joke!

Super delicious food. We were there for dinner, and the restaurant is really beautiful inside, with soft lighting and lots of candles. The dinner menu is very compact, so the two of us ordered almost the entire menu. The portions are quite small, but perfect for sharing and more like small side dishes that together make up the meal. Most of the dishes were extremely delicious and beautifully presented, but the zucchini gazpacho was unfortunately really not good. It was just a few raw zucchini strips with some vegan feta dip in the middle, and it was also the most expensive item on the menu at €12. Unfortunately, I don't understand why. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. The other dishes, however, were delicious and highly recommended. The prices are a bit steep for the portion sizes, but definitely fair for a very nice evening or special occasion. Without drinks, we paid €55 in total, which is really good for the quality, taste, and location. Nevertheless, I have to deduct one star for the €12 zucchini gazpacho, because the taste was simply incomprehensible, especially compared to all the other dishes. And the pistachio crumbles were unfortunately completely missing from the dessert. Also, many of the dishes would have required bread because you could just eat a plate of cream. However, we got our bread as a starter and didn't get our dishes for another 10 minutes, which is a bit of a shame because we couldn't really enjoy some of the dishes.

Perfectly suited to the Bohemian village, with delicious poems to snack on. I'd go back anytime!

Everything is great! The absolute best brunch spot in Berlin (maybe even the world?) The prices have risen with popularity, but that's understandable given the taste. The changing menu always offers new creations. It would be even better if another Sfera opened in the west...

Why are the calling it a French toast? It’s just toastef brioche with dry blocks of crumbs and jam… and that for 14€ 🥲

Two of us were there for brunch right when the shop opened on a Saturday. Even though the place was quite busy, there was a reasonable wait time for both ordering and the food. Don't be fooled, though: the brunch isn't served as a buffet—as you might initially think—but rather à la carte. The selection is manageable, but I'm generally a fan of a menu that isn't too overloaded, and whether you're craving something sweet or savory, you'll find something. In addition to the menu items, the display at the counter also offers smaller treats and snacks. The food was delicious, and the portions were large enough to keep you full for a long time. Pictured here are the marinated beans with sourdough bread and French toast. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by again.

The ambience and service were good. Unfortunately, the food needs some work. The young potato salad was normal potato salad on toast, but the main issue was that it was covered in about 2 cm of bland, cold grated tofu without any seasoning. The udon carbonara did not have any sauce, just the tiniest bit of olive oil and nothing else - no cream, no liquid in general. It was covered in breadcrumbs, making it even drier than it already would've been without sauce. There should've at least been an attempt to make a creamy carbonara sauce when you're calling it that, but even if that wasn't possible, any sauce would've been preferable to none. The mimosa had too much orange juice and not enough prosecco. The only item that was great was the strawberry rhubarb cake - I would still go back to try other pastries.

Food is a great experience, very creative and not so obvious combinations, coffee is good too, staff is very friendly and helpful, highly recommend!

Amazing place. I had the Miso millet waffle and although I'm not vegan and just thinking about how to eat better. I had a great meal here. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. My daughter loved the cinnamon bun. So even the kids will choose 🤗❤️

My most favourite vegan place in all of Berlin. Have to visit everytime i travel there. More than once. The waffles are amazing.. the desserts too. The whipped butter is deadly..the cinnabuns... love it all. Was elated when the hostess said they were about to close and allowed us to takeaway the Avocado slice gratis. Made my day. back after a year, Still the best in town, handsdown

Beautiful space and great coffee, with a thoughtfully curated atmosphere. The fully vegan menu is a major plus. Unfortunately, the service attitude detracted from the experience. There’s no room for arrogance when everything else is so well executed.

We couldn’t decide what to order, because everything sounds so delicious and we ordered three different and shared - so it was enough to taste and to be full. Definitely recommend this cafe. I loved also that the space separated as three or four big rooms.

We thought it was a shame that brunch was à la carte. I'd been looking forward to the brunch buffet all week because it was called "Sunday brunch," and the email response was too late. I also missed vegan scrambled eggs at brunch. The sweet little tube with cream turned out well, though, and was a small consolation :)

Wow! We came here for brunch and were speechless when we tried the brioche with whipped butter (plant-based!!) – so good! We each got another dish, all of which were delicious. I had the French toast – 100% recommend it 🤩

A lovely warm and inviting space in one of Berlin's best neighborhoods. They offer my favorite locally roasted coffee - Passenger. Their menu is simple and still finds ways of being interesting and entirely delicious. As a treat make sure to grab one of their cinnamon buns.

Sfera is probably my favorite restaurant for a cozy dinner of brunch – the food quality is above what you would expect from their prices and literally every dish is an exciting mix of flavors. The staff is always sweet and kind. Again, Sfera has become one of my favorite spots in Berlin.

Lovely coffee/brunch place in a nice neighborhood. Very fresh and creative plates, 100% vegan without making a big deal of it. You should definitely try the brioche. Great selection of natural wines too. We will come back for sure.

The food is delicious, the decor is very cozy and beautiful. Unfortunately the staff was very stressed and we waited a long time before we got a card and our order was taken. A special highlight: mimosas with homemade orange juice.

super sweet brunch spot, best vegan food I’ve ever had!

Definitely not a place to comfortably read a book alone. This is an Insta-hipster lifestyle location. The coffee is mediocre and my cappuccino was made with soy milk without asking. What was impressive was the minimalism in the communication between the waitresses, who apparently can't smile either. There is one star for the music.

Just ridiculous! Don't understand the hype about this cafe/restaurant! When you're seated at a table, the English-speaking staff make you feel like you're lucky to be eating with them. The menu (of course only in English, as is mandatory in Berlin's hip hotspots) is clear and varied, but the rather steep prices are absolutely not justified. We sat in the back room and unfortunately the volume was unbearable and made communication at the table difficult. But okay, luckily tastes are different.

The atmosphere is really nice and cozy. The coffee tastes great. The food is I guess a personal preference, but it wasn’t my taste.

Very good service! Prices are ok, a bit on a higher end. Hokkaido Toast was super good, although it was a bit hard to cut with the knife they provide. Devilled Potato was a bit too salty to my taste, but still tasty. The entire menu is vegan 😍

Best food. The nutritional balance of the food is outstanding and extremely thought through. The portions are generous, yet the cakes so good one tempts to overdo it :) not to forget: the nicest staff. A ten star experience in a five star system ✨

Very great and unusual food, nice team

I really wanted to have lunch here, so I played the queue game. Initially announced at 15-20 minutes, we ended up waiting 1 hour. Either, the schedules can be difficult to control on a Sunday, the person who received us tells us after 30 minutes that there is still a wait. The estimation error is quite significant and there is no excuse on this point other than “without reservation and well it’s complicated”. I would have preferred a more conservative estimate from the outset to avoid a long wait in the cold... Once installed, the order still takes time to be taken (around 20 minutes). Finally, served, it turns out that there was an order error and we were missing a dish, certainly in the middle of other small plates but still... I didn't have the heart to report the error given the time already wasted and the apparent lack of availability of staff. It’s a shame because it was delicious and I would have really enjoyed the experience without the hassles. In my opinion : - Do not try without reservation - Avoid busy days unless you have a LOT of time... Lack of staff or organization? There is clearly something to improve.

Randomly ended up here! Great atmosphere, 10/10 service from staff. We had a coffee, matcha, a “salmon” toast, their millet waffle (too much of the sauce, maybe less or avocado would be better), and a cream pastry! Overall pretty good, can recommend.

Just WAUW! You might think vegan is boring but Sfera does it just Right!!! 6 stars of it was posible.

Super cute restaurant, everything seems very familiar. The staff speaks both German and English. The dishes all sound very unusual. It would then be the “young potato salad” and it was great! (€13.50) It is also beautifully prepared. The prices may seem a bit steep at first, but the portions are large and definitely fill you up. As a drink I had a homemade lemonade (€4.80), which, in contrast to the food, was smaller than expected. In my experience from other restaurants, homemade lemonades are usually 400-500ml, here it was more like 250ml... Reservation: You can access a website via a story highlight on Instagram where you can reserve tables, but only for 2 people or more. I was there alone and had no problem getting a seat (it was a Sunday around 11am). If I understood correctly, the menu changes seasonally, so I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in Berlin. Conclusion: gladly again!

Unfortunately, the hyped café didn't convince us. The no-egg sandwich was extremely salty - even though I love eating salty food. The French toast was a pure sugar bomb, visually appealing but not balanced in taste. There were hardly any gluten-free options, even though they were mentioned in the fine print. The only plant-based milk alternative is oats, which is not suitable if you have gluten intolerance - I would have liked more choice from a plant-based café. Everything was completely overpriced for what was on offer. The service also had a condescending vibe, and the constant mix of German and English was confusing - it would be better to agree on one language. All in all, we didn't feel completely comfortable and won't be coming back.

Lovely atmosphere! the menu is seasonal, generous and filling dishes - a really interesting plant based food experience. A large selection of natural wines as well as other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Some bakery includes gluten free options as well as many dishes that can be adjusted upon request. The staff are very friendly despite some very busy days! I haven’t found the food waiting time much different to other Berlin brunch places, and the online booking system is super handy. A highlight is the specially designed menu for their occasional dinner and evening events, super cosy wine bar vibe.

Definitely worth a visit! Incredibly delicious, exceptional food selection and great drinks. The truly minimalist shop has an extraordinary flair.

Hip looking place, food lacking in taste. We ordered two different sandwiches and both ours were rather bland in taste. Also not very interesting choices for drinks; the Apfelschorle was very watered down and also did not have a lot of flavor. Quite expensive, considering you have to order and pick up your food at the counter and put the dishes away yourself (??)

A little place that offers 100% vegetable cuisine, and what can I say... well done guys! They certainly focused on quality and research into tastes, rather than quantity. In fact, on the menu you will find few proposals (plus something freshly baked in the window), but really well thought out. We had to wait because it was very popular, but it wasn't a problem. The place inside is quite minimal and there are also some seats outside. Quiet area. The French toast left us speechless😍

A more than underestimated pearl in the heart of Neukölln: At sfera, every dish is a finely seasoned, culinary delight. Salty meets sweet, sour components meet earthy notes - with the perfect bread or brioche, great coffee or wine. This is about far less than purely vegan cuisine, it's about perfection on the plate. Thanks to the great team!

We went to Sfera for brunch today and felt very comfortable. The drinks (especially the Sfera Royal, the Mezcara and the Mimosas) were great. We also had the “Miso Millet Waffle” and the potatoes with vegan egg. Both dishes were really tasty and beautifully presented. For dessert, a Schillerlocke and a cinnamon bun 💕. The manager and the other service staff were also really warm and took a little time to chat with us every now and then. In general, we had a really nice lunch at Sfera and would love to come back next time to drink our way through the wine list 😁.

Possibly my favourite café in Berlin — plant-based, friendly staff, low-waste ethos, lots of space to sit, fair portions and value. Full dishes, but they also offer smaller cakes and savoury options, as well as wines and other drinks. Gladly call this place a regular spot ✨

The brioche was honestly one of the tastiest meals I’ve had in a while. It was so fresh and warm, wow! And the also the barista that was serving us was so nice! He gave me extra berries just because I told him that I really fancy something with fruit:) The whole experience was so lovely I’m excited to visit Sfera again when I’ll be back at Berlin!❤️

Very unique food, well executed

I’ve wanted to visit Sfera since it opened last year and I finally made it. The place is spacious and beautiful, the staff is nice (although they made a mistake on our order). Food looks great but unfortunately I was disappointed as the taste was nothing as I expected. Definitely not worth the money, as it is quite pricey. We had French toast, tomatoes on labneh and no-egg sandwich.

A special café that is worth reserving in advance. If you use the website for this, you pay €5 per person, which should then be offset against the final price. A bit atypical, also because the information came on site that a refund would simply be given. The menu is full of interesting dishes that may not be for everyone. The ‘Young potato salad’ was very tasty and reasonably priced for the high prices. The taste of the French toast wasn't what I wanted. The iced matcha lattes, however, were excellent. Overall it's a good, albeit more expensive, café with lots of seats in the 'backroom' where it can get really loud (see the other reviews).

An excellent brunch place. The food goes beyond the typical brunch offering of eggs and bread in 101 ways and offers dishes at a truly high level. Flavors and vegetables you have never tried before - at least not in such combinations. I also recommend the cold brew coffee, which was very tasty despite the small amount.

An amazing vegan brunch spot. I got the French toast and it was delicious, the crumble and the chai cream I still dream about it. Baked goods looked amazing so I have to come here definitely to try them. The atmosphere of the cafe is also so good, a nice place with a few rooms. Such a gem!

We had a very tasty meal on site. The people in the place are super friendly. The atmosphere on site is wonderful. Relaxed music is playing, but you can have a conversation with the other person without any problems. We each ate a main course and shared a broiche. The portions are just right and fill you up. The quality is very high, fresh and delicious. Everything is vegan, which is great

It's terribly loud because no sound-absorbing measures have been taken. The service staff speaks German, but because of the noise, they misunderstood our order and brought us green tea instead of Pinot Gris. The food was nothing special and we had to wait about 40 minutes after ordering.

Amazing food, the best I had in a while. I've been there once before, and the food was amazing then, too. Everything is super tasty and fresh, and the flavours are interesting and different. Not just your typical brunch food, and there are plenty of different options without it being too much. Love this place. The staff was very nice too, helpful and friendly.

Nice space and atmosphere, decent (albeit slow) service (we had to go up and ask to be served after waiting at least 10 minutes, and it wasn't particularly busy). But €13 for a bean soup with a chunk of pumpkin thrown in there? Give me a break. This is the kind of place turning Berlin into an expensive hipster-run nonsense. I won't be back.

Mediocre food. I didn't like the atmosphere, they mention the place is LGBTQ friendly but at the same time they have islamist propaganda leaflets by the cashier (which is totally contradictory) as queer jewish person I didn't feel like this is the case.

Highlights: the space, very atmospheric, the vegan dishes are all delicious (we didn't even take photos, we ate them right away). Very cozy inside and outside tables in the sun. The workers are friendly. Pea sandwiches and others on the counter. What needs to be improved: the tofu is somewhat dry.
