ABC - Allans Breakfast Club & Wine Bar in Berlin

Wir hatten ein fantastisches Frühstück bei Allans – sehr leckere Getränke, fantastisches Essen und ein überaus nettes Personal. Vielen Dank, Allan, dass wir bei dir sein durften! 🤘🏻

Personal sehr nett! Getränke topp!

Das Essen war lecker. Wir hatten ein Sandwich mit Chicken und ein Eggs Benedict mit Spinat (das war sehr salzig). Der einzige und sehr große Minuspunkt: Man kann nur bar zahlen. Erst beim Bezahlen wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass man nicht mit Karte zahlen kann und mit einer Geste zum ATM auf die nächste Straßenseite verwiesen. Das ist für mich einfach nicht zeitgemäß und riecht stark nach Steuerbetrug. Mein Grund nicht nochmal zu kommen.

Die Nichtakzeptanz von Kreditkarten und das Aufteilen von Rechnungen ist im Jahr 2026 nicht mehr akzeptabel.

Der Service war unterirdisch, extrem unhöflich. Er fragte uns, ob wir lesen könnten, nur weil wir etwas in der Speisekarte übersehen hatten. Nicht freundlich und einladend. Wir sind gegangen, ohne die Bestellung abzuschließen.

Guter Service und leckeres Essen

Ich war schon mehrmals hier. Zum Essen das letzte Mal vor mehr als einem Jahr, da ich es dann nicht mehr wirklich gut fand. Jetzt durch Zufall wieder und es gab neue Gerichte und es war wirklich lecker :)

Wir haben nichts gegen Wartezeiten in einem vollen Lokal, aber wir lassen uns nicht 45 Minuten lang ohne jegliche Transparenz warten. Wir waren die Ersten in der Schlange, hinter uns bildete sich eine lange Schlange, und erst dann erfuhren wir, dass Tische für eine Gruppe von 20 Personen reserviert waren und man uns nichts versprechen konnte. Wir mussten uns also woanders umsehen.

Das erste und beste. Eine Institution im Viertel.

Wir waren in ABC zum Frühstück und waren Mega begeistert. Der Auswahl an Essen ist nicht sehr groß aber außergewöhnlich und geschmacklich super. Wir hatten Parma Toast, Kimchi Waffeln (ist scharf! Aber lecker) und French Toast mit griechischen Yoghurt. Die Kellnerin ist Mega lieb. Es war viel los im Laden und sie war allein. Hatte aber immer ein Lächeln auf dem Gesicht und war schnell in Service. Und hat es Besonders gut gefallen, dass man gratis Wasser bekommt. Ein Stern Abzug weil man ziemlich beengt sitzt und nur mit Bargeld bezahlen kann.

Es gibt einen Grund, warum dieser Laden immer voll ist. Tolle Atmosphäre und hervorragendes Essen. Einfach super!

Croque Monsieur auf Brioche. Das süße, buttrige Brot verfälscht den eigentlich herzhaften Geschmack des Sandwiches und macht es unnötig schwer. Ich verstehe nicht, warum heutzutage alles auf Brioche serviert werden muss, aber es macht dieses Gericht nicht besser. Der schlechteste Croque, den ich je gegessen habe – ausschließlich wegen der Brotwahl.

Leckeres Essen (vor allem Papas Toast) und lustige Sachen

Ich hatte ihren Kimchi-Toast, er war scharf, aber mir hat er geschmeckt. Die Einrichtung ist nicht so ansprechend, aber der Service war gut, wir mussten nicht anstehen, was in Berlin immer ein Pluspunkt ist. Die Preise sind in der Gegend üblich.

Gutes Essen und superfreundliches Personal, und es werden auch Cocktails serviert. Bitte beachten Sie, dass nur Barzahlung möglich ist.

Leckeres Frühstück und faire Preise. Bei der Wahl des Essens sollte man auf die Portionsgrößen achten, da sind die Unterschiede schon ziemlich groß.

Für mich seit Jahren eines meiner absoluten Lieblingscafés in Berlin. Tolle Menschen, eine großartige Atmosphäre und wirklich fantastisches Essen – hier stimmt einfach alles. Besonders die Drinks sind jedes Mal ein Highlight: egal ob man Lust auf die Klassiker oder auf etwas Neues hat, man wird nie enttäuscht. Dazu kommen immer wieder besondere Events, die es einfach noch einmal extra besonders machen. Und der Espresso Martini… nicht nur wachmachend, sondern einfach einer der besten der Stadt. Für mich jedes Mal ein kleines Wochenend-Upgrade. 💛🍸

Also ich kann die ganzen Mimimis nicht verstehen, die sich aufregen, das man platziert wird. Das gehört zum guten Stil in meinen Augen. Und die Tische sind frei, weil Sie reserviert sind. Wenn die Tische reserviert sind sie reserviert. Es muss ja auch Geld verdient werden, da kann man keinen vierer Tisch erwarten, wenn man zu zweit ist. Unfassbar. Wir sind halt nicht in Stuttgart, lebt damit oder lasst es sein. Ich finde auch, wenn man in eine urbane Ecke zieht, kann man nicht erwarten, dass es ruhig zugeht wie auf dem Land! Einfach wegziehen. Was mich am meisten nervt, sind die Leute die sagen essen war super, service okay, aber ich durfte nicht an den Tisch meiner Wahl also nur ein Stern. Ich finds super im ABC, sitze gerne mal gequetscht oder trinke einfach nur nen Café im stehen. Habe Verständnis, wenn’s mal nicht perfekt ist. Wir sind alle Menschen. Croque Monsieur, alkoholfreier Mimosa, eggs benedict und café ein Traum. Und ich habe lieber Menschen mit Ecken und Kanten als ja Sager. Aber wer das nicht will, es gibt das Café Alex, das ist für manche vielleicht besser geeignet.

Ein wirklich toller Ort zum Brunchen. Wenn ihr früh kommt, bekommt ihr auch ohne Reservierung einen Tisch. Ich kann die Kimchi-Waffel wärmstens empfehlen – so knusprig, saftig und lecker! Mit einem zusätzlichen Ei ist sie perfekt. Die Mimosas sind der Hammer!

Der perfekte Ort für Drinks tagsüber und Brunch in einem lebhaften Viertel

Hier kann man unmöglich schlecht essen oder eine schlechte Erfahrung machen. Allan ist eine Legende, so freundlich, immer für einen Plausch zu haben, und die Atmosphäre ist zu jeder Jahreszeit sehr einladend. Die Speisekarte ist australisch inspiriert und die Qualität der Speisen hervorragend. Danke für das tolle Essen (kommt nach Melbourne!!)

Wir waren heute Morgen dort zum Brunch. Unsere Bedienung war fantastisch. Wirklich außergewöhnlich.

Tolles Frühstückslokal, wir die Eggs Benedikt und Daddys Toast beides super empfehlenswert. Es gibt auch Austern und alkoholische Getränke;) Der Laden nimmt nur Bargeld (ATM gegenüber) und eine Reservierung ist in jedem Fall von Vorteil.

It’s always a good plan to come here, whether it is summer with some oysters or in another time with the regular menu. The service is great, and the drinks are always tasty. Love the atmosphere of this place.

First we asked to waiter and he said a few minutes we need to wait for a table. After 30 mins, he took us to sit on tiny table and didn’t even tell us its a sharing table. We just learnt when we got inside. It is so rude!

A great choice for breakfast... there were other options, but when I asked about the favorite, I tried this one based on recommendations and reviews, and I think it was very successful, satisfying, and a unique flavor. I recommend having a coffee beforehand and a Bloody Mary with breakfast. It's a very nice place, full of warm and friendly people 👍 If you're in Berlin and want something different to eat for breakfast, you should definitely come here.

We were served a dish that was no longer on the menu because we found a photo in the Google reviews very appealing. The food was absolutely delicious. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

This is my absolute favorite place for breakfast. The food is very tasty, the flavors of the dishes are interesting, and the dishes themselves are great. My favorite dishes are Daddy Toast, Kimchi Waffle, and Eggs Benny. The staff is very friendly; for me, the vibe here is very warm, as if you’ve come to your friends for breakfast. I love their sense of humor and kindness — they’re genuinely interested in your story. I read the comments and didn’t understand the dissatisfaction :) Why can’t you pay by card? Those are the rules — you don’t complain about it in beer bars, you just take out cash :) Why does it take so long to wait? The place is in high demand, and they have peak hours. I haven’t seen such excitement for breakfast on this street anywhere else.

I am confident to say this is the best brunch place in Prenzlauerberg! We had an eggs Benny with pull pork and BLT were excellent. Best to combine with Cremant and espresso martini . I love the service and ambiance is always excellent 10/10!

We had the best time at Allans Breakfast Club. Amazing and attentive service, great drink, vibes s and incredible brunch. Absolute outstanding Kimchi Waffles, like seriously guys go try them we've ordered several rounds. Eggs Benny and Sandwiches were incredible as well, finally a place that's not shy to spice up your food (in the best, most balances kinda way)

First of all, the place is incredibly loud. And I personally didn't like the food. The bacon wasn't cooked properly, so it looked and tasted like boiled ham. When the waiter cleared the table, he asked if I enjoyed it. I said I didn't and explained why, but added that it was okay and that it was my opinion. To prove to me that she had real bacon, he then placed a single slice of bacon on a plate on the table and then tapped all of his colleagues, whispered in their ears and pointed at me. He then pressed the bill into his colleague's hand. I found his behavior very childish; after all, he had asked and I answered kindly and honestly. If you can't stand that, then shouldn't ask.

I used to really enjoy coming here for brunch, and I’ve visited a few times before. The food is good and the vibe is nice, but the way I was treated on my last visit was unacceptable. Since the restaurant doesn’t take card, I went to get cash. While paying at the counter inside I complained to the waitress (who was nice) that it’s a pity they don’t take card when many other restaurants do nowadays, the tall barista snapped back at me with, “then go to these restaurants.” I was stunned by how rude that was, and even more disappointed that no one from the waiters who were around said anything or apologized. It’s a shame, because this was one of our go-to brunch spots, but after this experience my friends and I won’t be returning. Management should really address this kind of rude attitude, it’s a pity that so much work goes into maintaining a good reputation only for one employee to ruin it for a group of loyal customers.

I tried two of the toasts, the Benny Egg and the kimchi cheese waffle. I'll definitely be back. They're delicious and the service is great! The espresso martini is also top-notch.

Every weekend, there's hysterical screaming and music so loud that everything in our apartment vibrates. This isn't a restaurant, but an unregistered nightclub. We're considering filing a complaint together in our building because this can't go on.

You have to be here! I was here seven years ago, and now I'm back. Nothing has changed :) The owner still wears a trendy hat, the cozy atmosphere, and you still pay cash. Delicious. But the food… Sublime. Refined dishes and beautifully presented. Flavorful, and I honestly don't think it's expensive either, especially for what you get. Tip: get a Bloody Mary. Yes, just in the morning. They've been boasting about it for years, and rightly so: it's delicious with your brunch. I had the kimchi cheese waffle with poached egg, bok choy, and ricotta. A fantastic combination! The staff is enthusiastic and well-coordinated. They have a good laugh together, and it shows. It's a party at Allan's :)

The food was delicious. We had the eggs Benedict with pulled pork and the kimchi cheese waffle. The iced matcha and green tea were okay. They also offer free tap water.

A groovy spot in pberg with both classic brunch staples and new tasty dishes, with their own added twist. “Daddy’s toast” with an added poached egg was divine. Great drinks and music. Super friendly staff, especially Jacob!

The store is empty, and you still have to wait in line outside for a very, very long time. I don't really understand the whole concept here. Maybe I'm too old for this.

Totally can understand when a resto is busy but we waited 45+min for our food and had to remind the servers: “hey we’ve still not gotten our dishes..” While ambience is lively and the servers are friendly. Unfortunately, just lacking in terms of service quality when it comes to time management and following up with customers. Also, there was no apology or even any kind of acknowledgement for the food wait time. The Benny was good it comes with a tasty brioche like bun instead of traditional English muffin. Honestly, we were famished by the time we got the dishes so could’ve been fed anything at that point.

I love this place! The staff is super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails and wine selection were spot on. I can definitely recommend it!

Delicious brunch options and Blood Mary!

Top spot in Berlin! Great atmosphere, loud (not too loud tho) music, friendly staff and owner, overall an awesome experience. If you want to have fun and feel like early margaritas on the weekend, ABC is the place! My personal fave. 🫶

Don’t get the hype - average food (but some of the worst brunch food I’ve had in Berlin), cash only, horrible service. You wait in line only for friends of the staff to get all the free tables in front of you. Save yourself the time and trouble and go literally anywhere else. Only one vegan option with the new menu and it’s bad under cooked eggplant and some toast.

Delicious breakfast, good drinks, cash only. Fast and very friendly service, a nice terrace outside with plenty of seating, quite small inside. Reservations are recommended for a cold day. Especially if you don't want to eat your breakfast on a bar stool at the high table (with a view of the outside).

Berlin does many things, but one thing they never do...meal check...you know, you're eating and the uncommonly happy wait person checks in to see if you'll be honest about how good the meal is or lie your tired arse off, because the only thing you want less when faced with a disappointing meal, is way more contact with the person who delivered it... Here, however, meal check is everywhere.. served with better English than your mum speaks. This place is owned by a French man who has spent time in Oz. The menu reads great and every dish but the one I ordered looks the goods. As I tell my new bff waiter as I leave, mine is a dish that sounds great when you're lying on the couch at home, imagining your fridge options into a gourmet treat.. you make it as you imagine and eat it with all the enthusiasm of Jamie Oliver on espresso Martinis. Alas, it winds up being as disappointing as this. Zucchini cheese waffles need to be hot and crisp. Mine may well have been, until the ice cold simplistically made Kim chi was ladled on, with its too sweet syrup deflating, cooling and decrisping the waffles to a bland, sweet wet wipe. The good looking shrooms lost in this abyss, and the limp rocket an unwilling participant in this mess. The queues are well deserved for the croque Monsieur and sweet work. The coffee was tepid but good. Another time, maybe.

This is my favorite place forever — matcha latte and eggs Benedict will always have a special place in my heart. Cash only.

Would've loved to leave a 1-star review because the owner writes a hilarious response, but his and my energy is more fruitfully spent on enjoying the goods things in life - and the brunch we had at ABC is definitely part of that (-: Great environment, great food and friendly service. We were blown away by the kimchi waffle, which we were told took 6 months to develop. Coffee was delicious and food was delivered within 45 minutes - take in consideration the tent was fully booked. Chatting up with Allan was great ( and thank you for the bonus espresso martini (; ) and we hope to enjoy North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam with you upcoming summer. Highly recommended brunch spot, byyeee xxxx

The atmosphere was very pleasant and fine. The brunch tasted really delicious. The waiters were also very friendly. I can definitely recommend it!

Unfortunately totally overrated. We waited about an hour for our food. When ordering drinks, half of them were simply forgotten. Unfortunately, the eggplant was also very disappointing. The vegetables were cold and not cooked properly. Plus two half slices of sourdough bread and a bunch of coriander, which didn't go well with the dish at all. For the price I wasn't even full. Too bad.

Sentí como estar en California en 1974, en un pequeño, simple y hermoso bar tomado por artistas, surfistas y hippies de todo el mundo. Solo con comida contemporánea increíble, café barista y buena música. Tengo que volver pronto y probar todo en el menú. Teníamos "huevos de Benny con cerdo tirado" y "berenjena a la parrilla" - no se puede decir cuál era mejor. Maravilloso!

Enjoyed a memorable evening with delicious cocktails and exceptional service. The server was super friendly and attentive, and the bar owner Allan really created a truly warm and inviting atmosphere 😀. Spending the evening there was amazing thanks to the fantastic ambiance and expertly crafted drinks!

The male Server was extremely rude, I politely asked him if there were any tables free and he said do you see any?! This is after waiting for 30 min., then we got seated in a crammed corner where while eating my elbows would touch my Friend. Also, the music was blaring, it was more like a bar. When the half burnt Toast came, it was just the Cherry on top that would convince us to never go back again. Over hyped for nothing! At best and with a big maybe, coffee while sitting outside! ABC you have let us down!!

Hey, nice place: food was ok, not special, neither bad nor exciting. Location was nice too; Staff very nice and friendly. You can do it once, but I wouldn't do it again. Prices ok too. Pictures on the website and in Google Maps look much better than in reality.

Horrible eggs Benedict, cold and the sauce was sour like it was off. Staff beyond unfriendly, exactly like the owner who should fix his attitude (just enough to read replies here, don’t bother with a visit. So many better and honest places in Berlin. What is this city becoming.) What a disaster.

The eggs benny with cured Salmon is one of the best egg Benedict dishes I’ve ever had. I couldn’t stop eating the hollandaise sauce. Even the chocolate fondant was a surprise and not your average neighbourhood chocolate dessert. I have already planned what to order the next time I am there. 10/10
