You have to be here! I was here seven years ago, and now I'm back. Nothing has changed :) The owner still wears a trendy hat, the cozy atmosphere, and you still pay cash. Delicious. But the food… Sublime. Refined dishes and beautifully presented. Flavorful, and I honestly don't think it's expensive either, especially for what you get. Tip: get a Bloody Mary. Yes, just in the morning. They've been boasting about it for years, and rightly so: it's delicious with your brunch. I had the kimchi cheese waffle with poached egg, bok choy, and ricotta. A fantastic combination! The staff is enthusiastic and well-coordinated. They have a good laugh together, and it shows. It's a party at Allan's :)

The food was delicious. We had the eggs Benedict with pulled pork and the kimchi cheese waffle. The iced matcha and green tea were okay. They also offer free tap water.

A groovy spot in pberg with both classic brunch staples and new tasty dishes, with their own added twist. “Daddy’s toast” with an added poached egg was divine. Great drinks and music. Super friendly staff, especially Jacob!

The store is empty, and you still have to wait in line outside for a very, very long time. I don't really understand the whole concept here. Maybe I'm too old for this.

Totally can understand when a resto is busy but we waited 45+min for our food and had to remind the servers: “hey we’ve still not gotten our dishes..” While ambience is lively and the servers are friendly. Unfortunately, just lacking in terms of service quality when it comes to time management and following up with customers. Also, there was no apology or even any kind of acknowledgement for the food wait time. The Benny was good it comes with a tasty brioche like bun instead of traditional English muffin. Honestly, we were famished by the time we got the dishes so could’ve been fed anything at that point.

I love this place! The staff is super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails and wine selection were spot on. I can definitely recommend it!

Delicious brunch options and Blood Mary!

Top spot in Berlin! Great atmosphere, loud (not too loud tho) music, friendly staff and owner, overall an awesome experience. If you want to have fun and feel like early margaritas on the weekend, ABC is the place! My personal fave. 🫶

Don’t get the hype - average food (but some of the worst brunch food I’ve had in Berlin), cash only, horrible service. You wait in line only for friends of the staff to get all the free tables in front of you. Save yourself the time and trouble and go literally anywhere else. Only one vegan option with the new menu and it’s bad under cooked eggplant and some toast.

Delicious breakfast, good drinks, cash only. Fast and very friendly service, a nice terrace outside with plenty of seating, quite small inside. Reservations are recommended for a cold day. Especially if you don't want to eat your breakfast on a bar stool at the high table (with a view of the outside).

Berlin does many things, but one thing they never do...meal check...you know, you're eating and the uncommonly happy wait person checks in to see if you'll be honest about how good the meal is or lie your tired arse off, because the only thing you want less when faced with a disappointing meal, is way more contact with the person who delivered it... Here, however, meal check is everywhere.. served with better English than your mum speaks. This place is owned by a French man who has spent time in Oz. The menu reads great and every dish but the one I ordered looks the goods. As I tell my new bff waiter as I leave, mine is a dish that sounds great when you're lying on the couch at home, imagining your fridge options into a gourmet treat.. you make it as you imagine and eat it with all the enthusiasm of Jamie Oliver on espresso Martinis. Alas, it winds up being as disappointing as this. Zucchini cheese waffles need to be hot and crisp. Mine may well have been, until the ice cold simplistically made Kim chi was ladled on, with its too sweet syrup deflating, cooling and decrisping the waffles to a bland, sweet wet wipe. The good looking shrooms lost in this abyss, and the limp rocket an unwilling participant in this mess. The queues are well deserved for the croque Monsieur and sweet work. The coffee was tepid but good. Another time, maybe.

This is my favorite place forever — matcha latte and eggs Benedict will always have a special place in my heart. Cash only.

Would've loved to leave a 1-star review because the owner writes a hilarious response, but his and my energy is more fruitfully spent on enjoying the goods things in life - and the brunch we had at ABC is definitely part of that (-: Great environment, great food and friendly service. We were blown away by the kimchi waffle, which we were told took 6 months to develop. Coffee was delicious and food was delivered within 45 minutes - take in consideration the tent was fully booked. Chatting up with Allan was great ( and thank you for the bonus espresso martini (; ) and we hope to enjoy North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam with you upcoming summer. Highly recommended brunch spot, byyeee xxxx

The atmosphere was very pleasant and fine. The brunch tasted really delicious. The waiters were also very friendly. I can definitely recommend it!

Unfortunately totally overrated. We waited about an hour for our food. When ordering drinks, half of them were simply forgotten. Unfortunately, the eggplant was also very disappointing. The vegetables were cold and not cooked properly. Plus two half slices of sourdough bread and a bunch of coriander, which didn't go well with the dish at all. For the price I wasn't even full. Too bad.

Sentí como estar en California en 1974, en un pequeño, simple y hermoso bar tomado por artistas, surfistas y hippies de todo el mundo. Solo con comida contemporánea increíble, café barista y buena música. Tengo que volver pronto y probar todo en el menú. Teníamos "huevos de Benny con cerdo tirado" y "berenjena a la parrilla" - no se puede decir cuál era mejor. Maravilloso!

Enjoyed a memorable evening with delicious cocktails and exceptional service. The server was super friendly and attentive, and the bar owner Allan really created a truly warm and inviting atmosphere 😀. Spending the evening there was amazing thanks to the fantastic ambiance and expertly crafted drinks!

The male Server was extremely rude, I politely asked him if there were any tables free and he said do you see any?! This is after waiting for 30 min., then we got seated in a crammed corner where while eating my elbows would touch my Friend. Also, the music was blaring, it was more like a bar. When the half burnt Toast came, it was just the Cherry on top that would convince us to never go back again. Over hyped for nothing! At best and with a big maybe, coffee while sitting outside! ABC you have let us down!!

Hey, nice place: food was ok, not special, neither bad nor exciting. Location was nice too; Staff very nice and friendly. You can do it once, but I wouldn't do it again. Prices ok too. Pictures on the website and in Google Maps look much better than in reality.

Horrible eggs Benedict, cold and the sauce was sour like it was off. Staff beyond unfriendly, exactly like the owner who should fix his attitude (just enough to read replies here, don’t bother with a visit. So many better and honest places in Berlin. What is this city becoming.) What a disaster.

The eggs benny with cured Salmon is one of the best egg Benedict dishes I’ve ever had. I couldn’t stop eating the hollandaise sauce. Even the chocolate fondant was a surprise and not your average neighbourhood chocolate dessert. I have already planned what to order the next time I am there. 10/10

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I reserved a table for 8 in advance as part of my birthday celebrations and we waited over 1h 30 for our food. No apologies or explanations except for when we asked about our food and when it would arrive. Food was ok when it finally did arrive, apart from 1/8 dishes which arrived cold. The worst part about the whole experience was actually the behaviour of the owner. He was so incredibly rude to me and the rest of the group, seeming not to care that we had been waiting hours for our food and simply responding with a ‘we are busy, nothing I could have done’. He then accused me of exaggerating the time we had been waiting and trying to shrug off the fact that we had reserved in advance by saying ‘from next weekend we won’t be taking any more bookings’. What? What does that have to do with the customers that are sitting in front of you today, waiting centuries for their food? He was misogynistic and sexist in his tone / the way he spoke to me and was incredibly patronising (as well as being unfathomably rude). It was vile. Please avoid.

The food was delicious. Atmosphere was just lovely and warm. But the service was unfortunately lacking in contrast. There was a man working there who was extremely rude, but the lady working there politely explained the payment methods to us. To provide context, the sign outside and the menu stated that Cashless options are available, but Cash was preferred. When we attempted to pay with our card, the man laughed at my boyfriend, saying it “clearly stated” that Apple Pay is the only cashless option available on the menu and the sign outside, which was a lie. My boyfriend was surprised and taken aback by his condescending attitude, and retorted that these were not stated. He proceeded to point across the street, stating that there is an ATM there, and left our table. I was surprised by his hostility. I was also confused about his attitude, and asked a lady why he would say card payment isn’t accepted when the menu and sign outside said otherwise. She explained that half of German bank cards, some American cards, and all Dutch cards are not accepted in their online payment portal. We ended up paying via cash. In conclusion, just bring cash when you come here, guys. It’ll save you the condescending attitude from a certain someone:)

Fantastic poached egg on a kimchi cheese waffle with grilled bok choy. Pleasant service and good drinks. I haven't had such a good brunch in a long time!

Very rich and acceptable price. We ordered the French bread, the poached hollows and the grill cheese sandwich. They don't let you split the bill and let everyone pay their own, which is super inconvenient for those who don't live in the city and don't bring euros.

It's been almost 2 years since I visited Berlin, and I almost never post reviews, but I felt the need to come on here and say that this was the best brunch I've had in Continental Europe. The French Toast was the best I've ever had. Looking forward to visiting Berlin again to go back to ABC.

Great brunch restaurant. Delicious food and super friendly staff. Had the baked eggplant and daddy toast and both dishes were incredibly tasty. The ABC toast is also recommended as a dessert. You can also share it easily.

Easily one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. The homemade smoked salmon eggs Benedict is a must. Very light flavors, and balanced consistency- cleaned the entire thing in 5 seconds. The french toast was next- very decadent, not overly sweet. The mascarpone took it to another level and complimented the peaches very very well- cleaned the entire thing in 10 seconds (needed to pace myself). Anyways, it is also nuzzled into a cozy, quiet, cobblestone street lined with green trees… just a must- try

Unpleasant atmosphere and arrogant staff. Not worth a visit

I like this place because I have a bit of a thing for sitting at tables right next to the area restaurants usually designate for people waiting on a table. Sundays are obviously best for this, and I wake up early just to beat the crowd. The food is alright, but the people watching — bah, gawd — it doesn’t get better. Although it does get a bit boring, who am I kidding. Prenzlauer Berg is full of the same type of person. But if I stop doing this, what will I have?

ABC had been on my brunch list for quite a while. The food was good but didn't exceed my expectations. The staff was friendly, though service was a bit slow, and unfortunately, they had run out of orange juice and other juice options that day. The shakshuka was a bit too spicy, which wasn't mentioned on the menu.

The breakfast was great, the coffee was delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly and helpful in advising on the great breakfast options. We had Shakshuka once and Daddy Toast with egg, just super delicious! It won't be the last breakfast here.

Highly recommend it for gluten free delicious food. One of my favo places for brunch with friends.

I’ve likely found my favourite brunch place in Berlin. The food is exquisite, I was frankly, quite blown away by the ABC Tasting Plate. Service, on the other hand, can be quite slow but I think that’s very common for brunch places anywhere in Berlin, especially on a weekend. Make a reservation or go early!

We were here for breakfast today. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right. The team was friendly but not particularly hospitable or interested.

Love this little spot for brunch or lunch or just rosé. Decided to celebrate my birthday here because they’ve got a little bit of something for everyone and the quality of food is far superior to many other brunch spots around. Great outdoor seating get there early or be ready to wait on the weekend.

Die junge Frau hat mir mein Granola immerhin auf den Tisch geknallt, war aber extra unfreundlich dabei. Der Kellner mit den dunklen Haaren war dagegen freundlich. Essen lecker wie immer. Bei den Wartezeiten lohnt der Besuch nicht mehr wie früher. Schade.

A very popular brunch spot in P-Berg! Reservations are highly recommended on weekends via IG or FB. Allan is very efficient to get customers tables. Coffee was very good. I enjoyed the baked eggplant.

Too much time to wait, overpriced

Completely overrated! The food came to the table cold. The taste is average at best, but the prices are quite high. For a “Perfect Day Time Drinking Spot” the selection of drinks is rather poor (very limited number of wines, no beer). You cannot pay by card or separately. With a lot of goodwill I can still give 2 stars: one for the nice service, the other for the free tap water. It's probably more of a place for hipsters to see and be seen or to take fancy photos but definitely not for good food. Edit after the bold answer: The owner probably can't handle criticism, immediately becomes personal and comes up with strange allegations (you can also see this in other reviews). Unprofessional & childish behavior! 1 star deduction.

The food is relatively tasty, but you won't feel full at all and would be better off spending a lot of money at the Vietnamese restaurant next door. There is no waiting time and you just get full. Won't come back again.

Anyone who would like to sit at broken tables where the paint is peeling off and where cigarette ash can still be found in the cracks is in good hands. Oh and of course English is spoken (probably hip, the question of integration doesn't matter)
