I have been excited to visit this place for a long time and regretted my visit pretty fast. Waited for the food for over 30 mins to the point we actually cancelled the order and left. The shop was not busy also during this time. The staff seemed very unbothered.

Dots is rather expensive - expect to pay about 30 euros if you show up hungry. The food is great however, and they have delicious coffee and plenty of gluten free options. They seem a bit understaffed, it took 10 minutes for them to take my order, another 10 to get me coffee (they forgot my water), another 30 to get my food. It is rather cold in the fall since they leave the door open, and there is no wifi. Aside from that I had a pleasant experience, the staff is superb.

Heavy overpriced for non-special dishes: weakly seasoned and small portions, even the coffee is rather poor compared to the many very good quality cafes nearby. The only thing that made it stand out was the staff.

Waiting about one hour for mediocre food and worse coffee, this is your place to go

Service is incredibly bad. we had to wait 1.5 hour to be served although we were one of the first-comers after the kitchen opened. We even waited around 45 min. for our coffees which came all different sizes. The food was random, nothing special at all. Atmosphere was ok.. Sorry to write a negative comment but I can't really find anything to say positive more than that the stuff was friendly.

So expensive for the quality and the service is horrible, ordered just one pancake and wait more than 40 minutes.. I was so excoted to try Dots, it looked so nice, but never coming back again. Better places next to it.

Incredibly overpriced. The iced cappuccino (4,10€) was okay, the iced matcha (5€) mediocre at its best but super average plain guacamole bread slices with some salad leaves on the side and the tiniest tomato salsa for 16,50€?! In other places you get a full meal for less than that. Gentrification at its best.

Cute café, good service, and good food. The Monte Cristo Panini was great, nothing special tho, didn’t come with salad.

A very refreshing concept at Dots The employees are super friendly and accommodating, especially on the hot and sunny days, all tables were provided with a parasol. The interior is also very comfortable. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The portions are definitely filling.

PSA: I always love to read the bad reviews first, because it helps with expectations of the place One thing I don’t understand is the complain about prices. You see them on the menu … you can check them online before … you can always just standup and leave. 🤷‍♂️ And let’s be honest. Brunch is a treat, unnecessary “luxury”. This is a brunch place in Berlin in the current economic situation. And honestly here you will get a great deal with big portions, that I’ve never experienced in Berlin before. And if you are particular with food … ASK! The staff knows what they are serving, and it can explain it to you. You can even ask for changes because of dietary restrictions or preferences. 🤦‍♂️

Had the gluten-free pancakes and they just tasted like fluffy eggs. Basically a fluffy omelette in flavour 🤢 unfortunately I don’t like eggs so I couldn’t eat them. Left unsatisfied and it was super expensive too! Bummer because I was hoping to find a good gf local.

Nice place for brunch, friendly staff, you can book in advance. Mango-Avocado tartar was my favorite.

I have never eaten scrambled eggs as delicious as there! The avocado hummus toast was also very tasty. Everything harmonized well together.

I expected something more, certainly excellent service and beautiful location, but something is missing in the food and the portions are borderline. The Eggs Florentine I ordered were without salt. Furthermore, €4.90 to add bacon seems a bit excessive considering that they already cost 16 euros.

Delicious brunch; extra extra extra fluffy pancakes that just melt in your mouth

A corpulent employee wants to tell me that I should pay €1.50 for Babychino, which costs €0 on the menu.

The food was delicious, the vegan and vegetarian selection was also really good. The employees were also super nice. Only one point deducted because it was quite expensive for the portions.

You definitely notice the gentrification, because we spent a total of €32 for a drink and two pieces of toast, without any side dish… But the food was very tasty and the service was friendly too!

Delicious shakshuka - moderately hot and spicy tomato sauce with eggplant (wow!). A standard portion (one egg) is a little small. The bread, for my taste, is too dry, more like croutons. Delicious coffee.

These prices are ridiculous! Beware!!!! The pictures of the menu with the prices from 2 years ago are severely outdated. I walked out after seeing today’s prices. A place I used to love (and could afford) I don’t even go to anymore because it’s too expensive.

Prices are far too high, disproportionate. 18 euros for three flour pancakes.

Delicious poached egg with bacon. Also a choice of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes. Nicely seated.

Narrow menu, therefore incredibly ingenious taste. The Shakshuka, the avocado bread with hummus and a poached egg as well as the pancakes were super delicious. The coffee also has a great aroma. Only the music was a bit too loud for my taste. Be sure to reserve in advance!

Given the price, you have to ask...37 euros for two pannini (chilli cheese + bacon) - wow, you should get out of the habit of converting the euro to D-mark...but the thing is just delicious, and also The 5 euro bacon plays so well. Next week I'll do overtime again and then jibbet another one.

The shop itself is pretty. It's small and cozy. Unfortunately, my daughter's pancakes tasted like eggs and bacon. Which makes me think they use the same pan with the same (oil/fat whatever) for pretty much everything. Of course it's bad for vegetarians. But... and I think it's a big but... We were there for about 1.5 hours and during this time 5 people came and went from table to table begging for money. IN THE SHOP. One person even asked an employee if it was okay if she walked through there. I am fully in favor of supporting the homeless and people who have little. But what I think is not possible is that the customers are "begged" while eating or having a cozy get-together and the staff also approves of it. Offer them free or low-cost meals, collect money for them in a can, or whatever. I think that would be a more pleasant solution for the guests. Personally, I felt bad that I was eating there and then someone came who barely had anything and moved from table to table. I will therefore not come back. It's a shame actually.

Our visit here was really great and the food was delicious! Pancakes, Shakshuka, avocado with egg - everything was great! Really! But people (I mean the owner now): The price of the granola bowl was an absolute disgrace.. Seriously, €10 for a bit of yoghurt and I mean a bit. The thing would have been okay for €4.50 but for €10 you would have had to get AT LEAST twice as much. Please adjust that, that's super unsympathetic because it's greedy.

A very beautiful place. We came specifically for the pancakes, but the atmosphere, the energy and friendliness of the staff, and the taste of the food were great. I recommend it for breakfast brunch.

You will pay at least 40 euros for ordinary pancakes and coffee - BUT, you will have to wait more than 80 minutes for that - even if you are planning to have a breakfast, it will become a brunch eventually. The waiting time is important information for consumers to plan the day properly. And the place is WAY too crowded and loud.

Delicious breakfast and good coffee

Coffee and food was delicious, we have tried pancakes and egg florentine. The portions were satisfactory as well. However the place is too tiny. Therefore to enjoy your space and privacy is not very likely, also since there are people waiting (again, tiny space) you very much feel that you are supposed to eat and go. Good place for breakfast, however not for a long and joyful brunch. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and provide service both in English and Deutsch.

The service is friendly and bilingual. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The food is fresh and appealingly served. The reason I gave a 4 for the food is because I didn't like the flavor of the avocado spread- to creamy/ mayonnaisey for me but not bad if that's what you like.

Very warm staff, super delicious food at reasonable prices. Everything tasted even better than it sounded on the menu. Reservations were only possible for two hours. Thanks to the fast service, this wasn't a problem at all. We recommend!

Cute little spot and nice service. I had the moussaka, that was not bad, but I noticed the portion was a bit small. Taste wise personally I prefer more seasoning and bread that is not that toasted, but it was definitely fresh. I would come back and try something else.

Hummus shakshuka was good. It had a fried egg rather than the regular poached egg. A regular cafe with good food. Nothing extraordinary. Prices are slightly on the higher end.

想吃日式舒芙蕾而特地來的，端上來時就是冷的，不知道跟冷熱有沒有關係，鬆餅雖然是鬆軟的，但吃起來比較像是鬆軟的麵包或蛋糕，跟口感細緻的日式舒芙蕾不一樣，沒有半流狀，但也還ok～ 15歐有點貴，但份量很多，酸甜有達到平衡，店員態度也很好。

First I was a bit sceptical, as it looks like a really modern and hipster place, but it is above all expectations. Juices are fresh, sandwiches are rich in flavour and service is amazing. Lively vibe and really nice place to get some coffee or lunch.

Das Essen kam eine halbe Stunde nach unseren Getränken, für 2 Brote und ein pochiertes Ei ganz schön lange. Wo das Essen ankam war das Ei auch noch kalt und es hat nicht wirklich gut dort geschmeckt. Seitdem ich dort essen war, habe ich einen verdorbenen Magen. Das Personal spricht nur englisch, für uns kein Problem, aber man fühlt sich nicht wohl, meine Mutter kann kein Englisch und hat sich wie im Ausland gefühlt. Ich würde dieses Café nicht weiterempfehlen.

Angenehm kleines Café mit tollen Speisen und Getränken! Ich habe mir das Shakshuka bestellt, welches super gewürzt und abgeschmeckt war - es war wirklich super lecker. Auch meiner Freundin hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Für meinen Geschmack war das dazugehörige Brot leider etwas zu kross angebraten und dadurch zu hart, trotzdem hat es lecker geschmeckt. Der Matcha Latte war ein Gedicht - da braucht man echt nichts weiter hinzuzufügen :) Die Musik war teilweise etwas zu laut, wurde dann aber gleich angepasst. Die Mitarbeiter sprechen (soweit ich weiß) nur englisch, was für uns aber kein Problem darstellte. Der Service war ansich gut, könnte aber noch ein bisschen mehr auf zack sein. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. Alles in allem ein guter Start in den Tag und wir kommen mit Sicherheit nochmal wieder.

He estado dos veces. La primera entre semana sin reservación y la segunda un domingo con reservación. La primera vez me pedí un Panini que realmente era como un bocadillo y la segunda pancakes. La verdad es que los pancakes estaban muy buenos pero el acompañamiento era un poco deficiente. El Panini fue enorme y tenía mucho sabor. Para beber pedi mocaccino ambas veces y estaba divino. La puntuación baja en servicio vino por esta segunda vez que hemos ido con reservación. Para la hora acordada no tenían mesas libres para 4. Hemos esperado 20 minutos y hemos visto como otras personas que habían reservado si se sentaban. Aparte de que cuando reservas tienes solo una hora y media para estar. Así que nosotros realmente solo íbamos a poder estar 1h y 10. Creo que lo tienen bastante mal gestionado porque el local siempre está lleno y ya deberían de tener práctica con las reservaciones.

I've been here twice, both during warm and cold weather. On a warm, sunny day, you can enjoy outdoor seating. I liked all the dishes I tried. Lovely atmosphere, highly recommended for brunch.

Might be my new best breakfast cafe in this area. Delicious coffee, best vegan pancakes I have tasted so far and some more options which you can have veganized. Lovely people. It's always busy, so be early or even reserve a table in advance.

The food and coffee is really, really great but the service isn't there sometimes. I really love this place and I hate it the other day. Depending on who's working you'll be served immediately, warm and super friendly even in rush hour. On a other day no-one even hands you out a menu, or seems responsible to come over to your table, like they don't recognise you. 😁 Nevertheless I always come back here again 🙈 bring time 😉

Delicious coffee! This is my dog's favorite café, even though he's not allowed anything from the menu. I usually give him some dog treats and water while I sip on a cappuccino. They also make a good Matcha latte!

Das Essen ist immer noch super lecker, leider nimmt der Service aber zunehmend ab. Man sitzt lange vor leeren Geschirr und Gläsern, nach einem 2. Getränk wird man schon gar nicht gefragt und bekommt auch nur einen Kellern zu greifen, wenn man ihn an der Theke abfängt. Schade. Das Ambiente ist an sich ist schön und liebevoll, leider werden 2 er Tische regelmäßig mit 3 Personen besetzt, sodass es zunehmend eng und laut ist.

Food quality is still good, love that everything is organic and the gluten free options. But atmosphere not so nice anymore, staff used to be much friendlier. Felt pretty unwelcome for some reason? None of them even said hi nor responded when I did, and felt like I was getting a sour face when giving the order :/

We went here for late breakfast. I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and avocado. It was tasty and satisfying. But the bread was too oily for me. My friend had the sandwich (?) and loved it! We definitely go again.

My friend and I went there for brunch today and we had the vegan pancakes, the hummus shashuka and the avocado toast. SO DELICIOUS we are in HEAVEN, also; this hot chocolate is easy(!!!!!!!) a 10/10. THANK U great service as well, we will be back some day.

The food is good, nothing special. Charging 4,5 for extra bacon is completely unnecessary, you can buy a whole pig with that money where I come from

After we had already received drinks we were warned that it would be up to 25 minutes for the food to arrive. In the end it took over 45 minutes. There was no apology about this and no one kept us up to date. The head waiter was obnoxious and very loud and he interrupted the waitress taking our order to talk about things in the kitchen that could have waited 10 seconds, making both her and us very stressed. The food was quite nice but the menu was small and half the things weren't available. I also don't understand how a sandwich would take so long.

Laid back breakfast / brunch spot. Service personnel very friendly and attentive. The poached egg was great and the freshly squeezed juice as well.
