This was my first time here, with someone who had been before. My conclusion: very tasty, fresh, and plentiful food, and exceptionally friendly service. We came with two small dogs, who were also warmly welcomed. Almost every table was occupied (Tuesday, late morning) – and I can certainly understand why! I'll gladly come back and can wholeheartedly recommend Dots!

Amazing brunch spot, by far my favourite one in the area! Very nice staff and the food is amazing. Don’t forget to reserve your table on the weekend though. They have gluten free options :)

The premises are relatively small, so you should definitely reserve in advance. Everything is freshly prepared with care. This naturally takes some time, but it tasted absolutely delicious. Gluten-free options were no problem at all. The staff were incredibly friendly both on the phone and in person. As for the price, quality comes at a price. Definitely recommended.

Coffee was absolutely amazing! You can really tell when someone knows what they’re doing, and the barista here is exactly that person — talented, friendly, and full of good energy. Their attitude alone makes the whole place feel alive, warm, and welcoming. The food is simple, but in the best possible way. No overcomplication, no unnecessary fuss — just clean, tasty dishes made with care. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want: honest flavors, well-prepared, and comforting. Overall, it’s the kind of spot you can easily make a habit of. Great coffee, great vibes, and a genuine passion behind the counter. Highly recommended!

A very tasty place with a wonderful atmosphere, and ideal for gluten-free visitors as well

We celebrated a milestone birthday with 40 guests at Café Dots from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The buffet was plentiful, Mediterranean/“Otto Lengi” style, and tailored to accommodate gluten-free guests. The drinks were excellent, especially the Margarita Slushy from the machine – a top recommendation from the team. However, the guests described it as the devil's brew the next day... The consultation and planning beforehand were very good. The team was friendly, attentive, and easy to work with. The equipment for music and video projection was more than adequate and worked perfectly.

Loved the server, they were super slammed and he got things done. The BLT was super good, especially with the extra egg. You need that. The hot halloumi I pumped up in my head a lot and reality couldn’t keep up. It was good tho, just not what I imagine when I think of it.

Overall, Dot’s is not bad. I say scale from 1-10, I’d give them a 7.8 On a positive note, service was pretty good. The servers handled my saltiness fairly well, so kudos to them. The coffee, pretty spectacular! The Shakshuka was REALLY good and more impressive that Dot’s is not a North African, Middle Eastern or Israeli restaurant. As for my constructive criticism, I had high hopes seeing as Dot’s was on a few blogs for having the best pancakes in Berlin. They are not the best pancakes, in fact they are not good at all. In their defense, apart from Ari’s, I’m sorry but Berliners wouldn’t know a pancake if one smacked them across the face. Like most pancakes in Berlin they were dry dry dry! So dry that the maple syrup (bonus for serving with maple syrup and not some berry compote nonsense) could not even soak into the pancake. Also, where is the butter?! What is up with the creamy ricotta something or other?!! It’s like a pandemic over here! Pancakes are already sweet, no need to add more sweet notes. Pancakes should have a sweet and savory balance, hence warm savory butter. Also, they were too big in circumference adding to the dryness and effecting syrup to pancake ratio. I pray one day Berlin figures out the pancake thing. One can hope. Secondly, what brunch place does reservations?! I get it, if you are a fancy brunch place like Spindler, fine, but a casual spot like Dots? You need to keep those tables moving. There is nothing more annoying than waiting next to an empty table and by the time you sit down 20 minutes later and finish eating, that table is still empty. Bad business if you ask me. Not sure if I would add them to my brunch circuit. They would have to cancel their reservations policy before I ever attempted to drop in again. And for the record, I tried to make reservations, but their website said only reservation available for 4 ppl or more. Funny through, because there were a couple of two ppl tables that were marked reserved. That’s confusing.

Dot's and other cafes in Berlin are always good. The coffee was very good, and the snacks looked delicious.

Last time I was here was a few years ago and I remember the food was incredible, I was very looking forward to coming back. I went back last weekend super excited for the chili cheese sandwich and I was disappointed. The amount of cheese and ingredients now was so little, the quality decreased a lot since my last time ordering it. And it wasn’t just my sandwich, I was with friends and they all got the same.

It hit the spot just right Now for the cons - at a place like this I def expected nice coffee, but they don’t have filter (surprised). By “place like this”, yes, I meant hipster-ish. So I took americano. It was really bad. It had the taste of automat coffee. Even filter coffee at sbahn stations tastes better to me - I didn’t like the serving of sandwich. Yes, it’s not a restaurant but it was JUST sandwich. Call me demanding, but for 14 (or how much? I remember 14 eur) it’s pretty ok to expect some presentation. You can literally take a bit of ruccola, add a drop of olive oil and balsamic - done. You don’t even need to add tomatoes or any vegs. It would already make so much difference. And by mentioning the price here I don’t mean that it’s not reasonable, it is. I just think that when eating, it’s important to enjoy the look of the plate. Only 2 cons. I can accept just sandwich on a plate, but coffee… Maybe their flat white is good, but when black coffee is not, I doubt it.

Busy on Saturday lunch time, reservations recommended. Meal was lovely and fresh tasting though I think prices are on high side but thats what you get for freshly prepared food. I think the cheapest brunch item is €10. Indoor and outdoor seating available but please note, there are plenty of wasps outside which are attracted to the food. Vegetarian and vegan options available including some cake at the counter.

There's nothing wrong with it, if you ignore the price. But paying €60 for a rudimentary breakfast (three loaves of bread with scrambled eggs, bacon, five lettuce leaves, and coffee) for three people is almost outrageous. If you want a nice breakfast, you're better off going a little further down the street to a cafe.

Unfortunately, it's far too expensive for what you get. It wants to be one of those fancy places, but it's just ridiculously expensive. They don't have a vegan alternative to the cream on their pancakes—they simply leave it out. The food may look well-presented and taste okay, but it's simply not the right value for money considering the service and the location. It's a shame.

Super tasty, healthy, and friendly service. Highly recommended. One star less only because it's always very busy, which is basically a good thing for the place.

Attention gluten-free breakfast fans! You'll get your money's worth here. From vegetarian and vegan options to gluten-free pancakes, focaccia, and delicious toppings for your bread, there's a very careful selection here. The service was very friendly, knowledgeable, and particularly open in communicating about gluten intolerance. A sweet reminder about the current situation regarding wasps on the terrace was also helpful. Overall, it's worth the experience, and you can enjoy a culinary treat here even if you don't have an intolerance. The prices aren't cheap, but the offerings are also a bit more special and sophisticated than others. I'd be happy to go back.

Genuinely one of the best breakfast of my life - pancakes were so fluffy and had the texture of edible clouds melting in your mouth + the hummus shakshouka was so creamy and delicious. Lovely relaxed vibe with friendly staff. Highly recommend & will be back as soon as possible.

Full disclosure, i’m not really a fan of coffee shop/ cafe food. Its usually to bready and buttery for my taste. BUT DOTS somehow always just gets it right! Even the scrambled egg plate which seems like it would be the most boring thing on the menu is delicious and filling - even the presentation is impressive! Bravo, DOTS! Keep up the good work ;) Update: just learned the egg plate is not available in the weekends. No they do not make any exception, no eggs being cracked on Saturday.. massive disappointment. Deducted two stars…

Dream coffee & super delicious food.

The café is very nice and atmospherically decorated, the staff were super friendly and personable, and the food was very, very tasty 😋 The prices were okay - only the time from ordering to the food arriving was a bit long (but in good company with lots of interesting conversations, it was no problem 😁)

Cute place but not gluten aware - they use drink straws made of pasta, with no warnings. Coeliacs be careful.

We came here on recommendation. Very inattentive service! The manager was sitting in the shop, but she didn't reprimand her employees. Waiting was too long, tables were served one at a time, and orders weren't placed in a row. The food was very good and well presented. I'd be happy to come back when the service is better!

Unreasonable high prices. 2 Paninis to go 30 €. It also took forever to get it, and we were disappointed, it was a toasted sandwich with mustard and fried egg.

14.50€ for a white bread sandwich with a fried egg (according to the menu "Panini") - absolutely cheeky and overpriced!

Great place to have breakfast, brunch or even merely coffee and cake – not too big variety of meals but plenty still! The coffee is amazing, very tasty; excellent service and quiet neighborhood. Big plus: free water in bottles with glasses. Totally recommend!

Food was nice, but the portions were much too small for the price.

We got there around 1 and every table was full but didn’t have to wait too long since it was calming down a bit. The pancakes were fluffy and the chili panini tasted similar to eating a Mexican taco

Very hipster shop, the food and the coffee were very tasty. Praise to the kitchen but the service was quite arrogant and even though you made it clear that you didn't speak English, you were only answered and spoken to in English. 😔

You can have a very delicious brunch here, you should just make reservations in advance, otherwise you may not get a seat. Even though the café itself can get very loud due to the high ceilings, it is a place that we always enjoy visiting. The bread is very tasty and the coffee tastes good too!

So overpriced it’s embarrassing. Everything starts from 13 eur, if you want anything on top the additionals are 4-5€ and the food is ok. So many other better options around. Go to sonnenallee and treat yourself a Syrian breakfast instead

This is a constant breakfast haunt for me and my friends. For non-German speakers, a great little hideaway in Neukölln. The coffee is amazing and the pancakes are to die for—hands down, one of the best (if not THE best) in Berlin. Great servers, too, although when it’s crowded, orders like pancakes can take a bit of time. Totally worth the wait, though. I’d recommend reserving to guarantee your spot—but if you don’t mind waiting, that’s okay too!

Nice little cafe. Nice people behind the counter. But €13.80 for two slices of bread with a bit of cheese and guacamole (cheese panini) without any side dish is really outrageous!

Reserved a table for 8 people. Waited about 90 minutes for the food. Things were always forgotten. It's a shame given the prices.

No flexibility to serve just scrambled eggs on the weekends. I understand if you want to sell your avocado toast for 15€, but to not even have the courtesy to offer something if a customer specifically asks for a dish, deserves a 1 star service rating from me.

A very tasty pancake, eaten in this small shop with an international audience and served by friendly staff. I ate the double version of the fluffy pancake, which is also available as a 'triple' version if you have a huge appetite. Not in the inexpensive category, but it's worth it because you'll definitely be full afterwards. My recommendation.

Best eggs benedict I ever had in my life. Food was so delicious and fresh. The brunch menu was small, but everything was absolute perfection. I live in the US and dream about going back to try the pancakes. Always looking for a similar Benedict here at home but not the same. Service was a little slow as it seemed they may not have enough people to work there, but the food is a hit. Mimosa and coffee also wonderful

I arrived quite early (before opening) and they welcomed me very pleasantly, thank you again. Despite a short wait, the brunch was delicious, the pancakes were like clouds! Very attentive staff and there is a very relaxed atmosphere, I really like it, I would probably come back if I come back to Berlin.

We went for the pancakes and wouldn't be disappointed. Taste fantastic. However, they are quite expensive at ~13€. We ordered them double and I with extra vanilla cream and my girlfriend with extra maple syrup. I would recommend that everyone order extra vanilla cream with the double because it went really well. Despite the prices (almost everything is vegan and regional!) we'll be happy to come back!

We come here often but this time the service was really bad! One Sunday we ran out of avocado, so our beloved avocado toast was taken off the menu. No cutlery on the table, we had to fetch it ourselves, the wrong tea was served, a meal and our water was completely forgotten. Really a shame! Hopefully it will be better next time.

The pancakes were outstanding, a full 10/10! The additional avocado humus, on the other hand, wasn't quite my cup of tea, more like a 5/10. The coffee was very good. However, the service was a bit inattentive - you had to ask yourself. The coffee came quickly, but the food didn't arrive until 40 minutes later, when we had already finished the coffee. The ladies in service were friendly and attentive, but the powerfully built colleague seemed a bit rude. All in all, it was a good visit and I would be happy to come back.

I have been excited to visit this place for a long time and regretted my visit pretty fast. Waited for the food for over 30 mins to the point we actually cancelled the order and left. The shop was not busy also during this time. The staff seemed very unbothered.

Dots is rather expensive - expect to pay about 30 euros if you show up hungry. The food is great however, and they have delicious coffee and plenty of gluten free options. They seem a bit understaffed, it took 10 minutes for them to take my order, another 10 to get me coffee (they forgot my water), another 30 to get my food. It is rather cold in the fall since they leave the door open, and there is no wifi. Aside from that I had a pleasant experience, the staff is superb.

Heavy overpriced for non-special dishes: weakly seasoned and small portions, even the coffee is rather poor compared to the many very good quality cafes nearby. The only thing that made it stand out was the staff.

Waiting about one hour for mediocre food and worse coffee, this is your place to go

Service is incredibly bad. we had to wait 1.5 hour to be served although we were one of the first-comers after the kitchen opened. We even waited around 45 min. for our coffees which came all different sizes. The food was random, nothing special at all. Atmosphere was ok.. Sorry to write a negative comment but I can't really find anything to say positive more than that the stuff was friendly.

So expensive for the quality and the service is horrible, ordered just one pancake and wait more than 40 minutes.. I was so excoted to try Dots, it looked so nice, but never coming back again. Better places next to it.

Incredibly overpriced. The iced cappuccino (4,10€) was okay, the iced matcha (5€) mediocre at its best but super average plain guacamole bread slices with some salad leaves on the side and the tiniest tomato salsa for 16,50€?! In other places you get a full meal for less than that. Gentrification at its best.

Cute café, good service, and good food. The Monte Cristo Panini was great, nothing special tho, didn’t come with salad.

A very refreshing concept at Dots The employees are super friendly and accommodating, especially on the hot and sunny days, all tables were provided with a parasol. The interior is also very comfortable. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The portions are definitely filling.

PSA: I always love to read the bad reviews first, because it helps with expectations of the place One thing I don’t understand is the complain about prices. You see them on the menu … you can check them online before … you can always just standup and leave. 🤷‍♂️ And let’s be honest. Brunch is a treat, unnecessary “luxury”. This is a brunch place in Berlin in the current economic situation. And honestly here you will get a great deal with big portions, that I’ve never experienced in Berlin before. And if you are particular with food … ASK! The staff knows what they are serving, and it can explain it to you. You can even ask for changes because of dietary restrictions or preferences. 🤦‍♂️

Had the gluten-free pancakes and they just tasted like fluffy eggs. Basically a fluffy omelette in flavour 🤢 unfortunately I don’t like eggs so I couldn’t eat them. Left unsatisfied and it was super expensive too! Bummer because I was hoping to find a good gf local.

I have never eaten scrambled eggs as delicious as there! The avocado hummus toast was also very tasty. Everything harmonized well together.

I expected something more, certainly excellent service and beautiful location, but something is missing in the food and the portions are borderline. The Eggs Florentine I ordered were without salt. Furthermore, €4.90 to add bacon seems a bit excessive considering that they already cost 16 euros.

A corpulent employee wants to tell me that I should pay €1.50 for Babychino, which costs €0 on the menu.

The food was delicious, the vegan and vegetarian selection was also really good. The employees were also super nice. Only one point deducted because it was quite expensive for the portions.

You definitely notice the gentrification, because we spent a total of €32 for a drink and two pieces of toast, without any side dish… But the food was very tasty and the service was friendly too!

Delicious shakshuka - moderately hot and spicy tomato sauce with eggplant (wow!). A standard portion (one egg) is a little small. The bread, for my taste, is too dry, more like croutons. Delicious coffee.
