We visited the restaurant at 6:00 p.m. and had free choice of seating without a reservation. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, the tables are quite close together, so you can't leave your seat without moving the table if the surrounding seats are occupied. The concept with the modular menu is interesting, but despite careful ordering (“no spiciness” or “least spiciness”), the dishes were already a little TOO SPICY for us. The pasta dish looked strangely thrown together. The taste of the food was still good. The Mango Lassi didn't really impress us with its consistency. We would also have liked the service staff to ask if there were any other requests - dessert or coffee were not offered. Unfortunately, paying was difficult as we had to ask several times. Overall, a solid restaurant with room for improvement. If you like spicy food, this is the place to eat.

Unfortunately, our visit was anything but pleasant. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the unfriendly lady behind the counter with an expression that spoke volumes. The atmosphere was actually more reminiscent of a backyard than a restaurant or snack bar, and the food, which we as Thailand connoisseurs expected, was disappointing - anything but fresh. The older lady, presumably the mother, just accompanied the whole thing with a tired grin. The Google reviews are definitely exaggerated. If you're looking for good food and friendliness, you definitely shouldn't go here. A real lesson in 'please don't do that!

Today was the fifth time I ate something different from Kitty Chai and was disappointed for the fifth time. So far, no dish has been remotely tasty, let alone “Thai-worthy”. Neither spicy (despite requests), nor tasteful in any way. Even with additional seasoning, you can't get the basic flavors out of the food. It just comes across as completely uninspired and unloving. That was my last time today. The food is also too expensive for the quality delivered. Absolutely not recommended!
