Sehr gute, authentische Thai-Küche. Wir sind inzwischen fast jede Woche hier und probieren uns weiter durch die Karte. Es ist alles sehr gut und auf Wunsch auch sehr scharf. Umgebung und Ambiente sind nicht schön, aber lassen Sie sich nicht davon beirren, es lohnt sich.

Ich habe Pad Kaprao noch nie ohne Eier gesehen. Am schlimmsten war aber die unhöfliche Behandlung, die man von Thailändern normalerweise nicht kennt. Nie wieder.👎

Ich war heute 04.05.2026 zum ersten Mal bei denen. Es war echt lecker und wenn manche sagen das die Frauen da unhöflich sind, das kann ich nicht wiedergeben. Ich hatte die Frau nicht ganz verstanden als ich was fragte aber sie hat es in einem höflichen Ton wiederholt und war auch freundlich. Ja , vllt ist einem der spielautomat neben der Theke ein Dorn im Auge aber mich hat er nicht gestört. Das Essen war echt lecker und bei den Preisen heutzutage finde ich es nicht teuer. Zudem wenn man freundlich rein kommt und auf thailändisch einen guten tag wünscht bekommt man von allen dort ein sehr freundliches Lächeln. Werde jetzt öfter mal dahin gehen da es mir gefallen hat ubd ich den thailändischen Ton aus der Küche sogar mag. Halt wie bei einer bar oder auch Restaurant Chefin wie man es aus thailand kennt. 👍

Ich weiß nicht mehr, was mich dort hinein gezogen hat. Die Betreiberin war sehr sachlich und schnell. Das Essen war ok, aber für die Qualität zu teuer. Das Restaurant war sauber. Aber noch einmal würde ich sicher nicht dort essen.

Wir haben Pad Thai und gebratenen Reis mit Schweinefleisch bestellt. Es hat gut geschmeckt, war schnell zubereitet und frisch. Das Restaurant ist in Ordnung.

Ambiente kriegt nur deswegen einen Stern weniger, weil für mich persönlich die Lichter des Spielautomaten ablenkend waren (bin Licht empfindlich). Essen und Bedienung absolut authentisch und unprätentiös, ehrliche Menschen und ehrliches Essen. Hatte frittierten Rotbarsch mit Gemüse, sehr frisch und echter Basilikum, die Soße etwas zu süß für den persönlichen Geschmack, aber in Gesamtgericht sehr angenehm harmonierend mit dem Fisch und Gemüse. Inneneinrichtung nüchtern, sauber und authentisch, durch private Möbel, Altar und Blumentöpfen am Tresen. Ich fands schmuck, weil ehrliches Heimatgefühl vermittelnd. Der Weg dahin war wirklich verwirrend, ich sah zuerst das Hausschild an der Ecke und hab das Lokal gesucht wie blöde, man muss wirklich um die Hausecke linsen, weil das Lokal in der Seitengasse versteckt ist. Einen Besuch auf jeden Fall wert, wenn man lecker, frisch, günstig und authentisch essen möchte. Mein Vorbesuch am Tisch geht regelmäßig hin, weil er selbst in Thailand gelebt hat und den Geschmack wiedergefunden hat, sehr erfreulich :)

Preis Leistung fair, innen eher nicht einladend, Chefin sagt auch kein danke und tschüss wenn man ihr Trinkgeld gibt. Die ältere dame tut mir leid

Kliztzeklein in einer schmuddelig anmutenden Hintergasse. Wer sich davon nicht abschrecken lässt, wird mit richtig leckerem Essen und Ruhe belohnt. Nix für Schicki-Micki und besser so😊

Wer authentische thailändische Küche sucht, findet hier einen seltenen Glücksgriff. Die Qualität der Gerichte ist herausragend – jeder Teller zeigt handwerkliches Können, perfekt abgestimmte Aromen und eine Frische, die man in vielen modernen Asia-Lokalen vergeblich sucht. Für das Essen allein wären fünf Sterne ohne jede Diskussion gerechtfertigt. Der Weg dorthin wirkt allerdings wenig einladend. Das Restaurant liegt in einer unscheinbaren Seitenstraße, deren Erscheinungsbild eher abschreckt – hier wäre die Stadt Wuppertal gefragt, aufzuwerten und nicht den Eindruck zu erwecken, man käme versehentlich falsch. Innen geht es schlicht weiter: Die Einrichtung ist funktional, fast karg, Schönheit oder Atmosphäre stehen klar nicht im Mittelpunkt. Bedient wird man von zwei älteren Damen, die wissen, was sie tun – freundlich im klassischen Sinn sind sie nicht, aber das wird durch ihr Können mehr als ausgeglichen. Wer hier herkommt, tut es nicht für Smalltalk oder Ambiente, sondern weil er essen will, und zwar richtig gut. Genau das bekommt man. Klare Empfehlung für alle, denen Authentizität und Geschmack wichtiger sind als Deko und Lächeln.

War da aufgrund der Rezessionen. Sehr unfreundliche Bedienung, fades Essen, einfachstes Ambiente. Nie wieder...

Leckeres Essen. Wir bestellten das Lab mit Hühnchen, gebratenem Reis und gebratenem Schweinefleisch mit weißem Reis. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen.

Ich wünschte so ein Restaurant wäre bei mir in der Nähe. Die Preise sind unschlagbar (8,50 € ein Reisgericht) und geschmacklich auch überzeugend lecker. Hier spielt die Inneneinrichtung keine wichtige Rolle – hier zählt einfach der Geschmack.

Super leckeres Essen in authentischer Atmosphäre. Dort fühle ich mich wieder fast wie in Thailand.

The food is very good, and you won't find these prices anywhere else. I don't understand the reviews saying the portion is too small. It's more than enough, and I was full in no time! Anyone who thinks it's too small probably needs to lose weight. Getting a whole meal for under €10, and sometimes even under €8, is worth 5 stars in itself. The food has a pleasant, light flavor and is freshly prepared. It didn't take too long, and we even got some pad thai to go because the food was so good. It's nice and quiet, and everything is painted a lovely green. I would come here often and recommend it to everyone! Please support this family business! P.S.: We ordered duck with vegetables and squid in oyster sauce!

The restaurant looks so inconspicuous, and the alley doesn't exactly invite you in, but... Eating there is (my) insider tip. Maybe my portion was small by normal standards, but I still came back because the food tastes authentically Asian and not too "Western." The employees are very calm and get on with their work. I feel comfortable here because it's in a quiet location. The atmosphere is "okay." I come here for the good food, not for the artificial discount crowd that I find everywhere in the city. I'll definitely be back.

The utter cheek. A salad for €12.50 is barely enough as a side salad. A soup for €8 barely fits in a coffee cup. There was no bill with taxes, nor was there a receipt.

Unfortunately, our visit was anything but pleasant. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the unfriendly lady behind the counter with an expression that spoke volumes. The atmosphere was actually more reminiscent of a backyard than a restaurant or snack bar, and the food, which we as Thailand connoisseurs expected, was disappointing - anything but fresh. The older lady, presumably the mother, just accompanied the whole thing with a tired grin. The Google reviews are definitely exaggerated. If you're looking for good food and friendliness, you definitely shouldn't go here. A real lesson in 'please don't do that!

An insider tip in a back courtyard near the main train station. Authentic, delicious food. The portions aren't overly large, but they're filling. You can also order Pad Thai with chicken instead of shrimp, and it was absolutely delicious. Yes, the ambiance takes some getting used to; there's often still crockery from previous guests on the tables. But somehow, it all creates a certain atmosphere. It's never crowded when we're there, which means you can easily drop in spontaneously.

The server (grey hair lady with glasses who‘s haircut is same as like Dora the explorer) is rude rolling her eyes and I felt for herself degraded after she was being asked again what she ment, because it was really hard to understand her. She seemed annoyed taking our orders then. Also, she did not even greeted us back. No manners at all. She seemed unlucky to have us, as how she’ve presented herself to us. I don‘t understand such front liners taking orders without even the passion or being grateful, despite we were nice all the time. Such a minus point to their service. Regarding the place, it‘s like going into a Getto place. Inside is not attractive and will be my last visit here. The food tasted ok but poor quality meat they served us. Overall, such a terrible lady or server to have in the restaurant. Such a bad vibe that makes you don‘t want to eat anymore. Never again here!

Inconspicuous backyard shop. Food was on the table quickly and delicious. Price also absolutely ok. Can't complain. Gladly again !

The food was a really small portion consisting mostly of glass noodles. Unfortunately there was no taste. You felt like you were in a cheap fish fry kitchen. Staff very rude. Too bad

A little secret tip, right next to the CityArkaden in a small alley. I always like to order sweet and sour chicken with rice and vegetables. I always like it very tasty, fresh vegetables, pineapple and the sauce is very tasty. Only recommended. Could use more guests, hence my recommendation.

Small side street snack bar, price/performance is good. Had Pad Thai, for €9 with prawns I thought it was fair. Food came relatively quickly.

In the past, especially during Pad Thai times, the snack bar was still an insider tip. For some time now the food has been tasteless, portions have been halved, and the price has increased. I just thought the company canteen managed to overcook such cheap ingredients that the taste disappears. Prig Thai can do that too. There is nothing left of the Khaosan Road-style authentic Thai cuisine, which is a real shame. Absolutely not recommended.

It's hidden in an alley near the train station. There are two older women in the kitchen who know their stuff. The portions are just right. And super cheap too. Food was super tasty. Service was also good.

The food is still ok, but the service was so unfriendly and didn't want to understand you. Since I was traveling with a woman with severe allergies, we had to ask a few questions. But that was too much, then my friend's food came and it had an allergy vegetable in it, so she ordered again. So she sold 3 meals for 2 guests. I'll give this place a wide berth! A few women, probably friends of the house, were sitting at another table; the table was littered with empty pilsner bottles.

It's a small restaurant in the city centre, away from the main street. We ordered some chicken and beef plates. The chicken was tasty but extremely spicy although it wasn't supposed to be at all, the beef was great. The prices are contained, and the portions are rather small. The service was quite fast, the atmosphere is that of a family owned business however is not quite as welcoming as one would expect.

Quite possibly the best Thai food I've ever had. Get the duck red curry #37. Crispy and spicy.

If I could it would be 0 stars. There are also a lot of local things like this in my hometown. When you first move here, you like to try out new restaurants/snack bars etc. Here I found my soup *Tom Kha Gai* a classic for us and simply the best soup. When I ordered this Tom Kha Gai and wanted to eat it afterwards, I was speechless. There were hardly any vegetables in it & chicken too, even worse was the disgusting and absolutely inedible and unseasoned expired smelly coconut milk/milk or cream. I've never had such a bad meal. This ended up in the trash shortly after leaving the restaurant because my common sense clearly told me that coconut milk/milk or cream definitely doesn't smell like that. It smelled completely rotten. My Tom Kha Gai was just milk cream or something similar, nothing else. Incomprehensible. Never to this place again It also felt like the whole family was sitting there, the place didn't seem inviting to me, they barely understood German and the shop was dirty. I was able to see things being stored there or left lying around. (Food, or various foods). Info (in midsummer and in the evenings/nights it was still well over 20°) It's a wonder that the so-called great German health department has never shown up there. I definitely recommend eating here. Because here there are hardly any rules followed when it comes to keeping food.

The shop with slot machines in it is pretty run down, like a gambling den. The service wasn't particularly friendly. And, even if the portions could have been larger, the food was ok. - I made a second attempt. This time even more unfriendly. 1. When I asked what kind of sauce it was, the waitress simply rolled her eyes. 2. The meal cost €7.50 according to the brochure, which was simply placed on my table without any kind gesture, such as a "please." I had to pay one euro more at the checkout. I was very reluctant to do this because I received a rather rude answer when I pointed out to the landlady that my brochure said 7.50. On their brochure, 7.50 was simply crossed out. The portion of food was rather small and the vegetarian food simply tasted spicy. Not very sophisticated. Personally, I find it outrageous.

If you like Thai cuisine, this is the right place for you. Food cheap and good. Ambiance plain and simple.

Super cheap! Pad Thai for nine euros! Lots of shrimp, with a lime on the side. You can use your own spices, including chili, fish sauce, garlic sauce.

Price performance great. Unfortunately very long waiting times and very rude. Prices unbeatable. Like a little food stall.

Food was good. Quickly and freshly prepared. Ambience rather simple. Unfortunately, the friendliness of the staff was rather modest. That's why we didn't like it.

Can only recommend this little restaurant. Very tasty food at a low price, nice people. Located in an alley, so easy to miss. I will definitely visit again when I am back in Wuppertal.

Authentic Thai restaurant Cooked by a Thai cook, Thai music played, food cooked to order in a homely style. If you want real Thai food, I recommend coming to this restaurant. But the service may not be comprehensive. Because the cook serves himself and takes orders all by himself.

The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The restaurant is inconspicuous from the outside and a bit difficult to find because you don't expect it on the side street. But inside it is cozy and everyone is very friendly. We'd love to come back.

Was looking for Thai cuisine or something similar. So because of not again kebab, pizza... And there was a crazy rush at Hanoi street food, you don't have to have it. After a bit of searching, I found this unfortunately quite hidden little restaurant and ate there really well and in peace.

Kleiner Thai Imbiss, etwas versteckt.

Das Essen ist hervorragend und empfehlenswert. Der Standort ist etwas versteckt, dafür spricht der Preis aber für sich. Unbedingt ausprobieren.

Das Prig Thai ist ein sehr authentisches thailändisches Restaurant inmitten vom Zentrum in Elberfeld. Leider viel zu versteckt und daher nicht so gut besucht. Man bekommt dort ein sehr leckeres und günstiges und vor allem ein sehr authentisches Essen zubereitet. Sehr zu empfehlen wenn man auf die asiatische Küche steht. Der Besitzer sind sehr nett und lieb, wie Thailänder nun mal so sind. Immer wieder gerne.

Ich komme seit Jahren hierher, wenn ich authentisches Thai-Food genießen möchte. Meist bringe ich auch jemanden mit, der das Lokal noch nicht kennt. Und jedes Mal sind meine Begleiter ebenso begeistert wie ich. Der Papaya-Salat ist zwar nicht günstig, aber jeden Cent wert (Vorsicht, scharf)!

Verstecktes Juwel der Asiatischen Küche. Sehr freundliches Personal und super leckeres Essen.

Etwas versteckt im Zentrum in einer Seitenstraße/Gasse. Die vier Sterne gibts, weil ich mich etwas wie in Bangkok gefühlt habe! Da kann man aber noch etwas nachbessern, vor allem was die Sitzmöglichkeiten angeht und der Spielautomat könnte auch raus. Das thailändische Hähnchen süß-sauer war tip top, die Suppe etwas heftig im Geschmack. Sollte ich wieder in der Nähe sein, komme ich definitiv wieder um eine andere Speise zu probieren.

Simpler und schlichter Imbiss. Das Pad Thai schmeckt so wie in Thailand.

Vom essen her der beste Thai laden in Wuppertal! Preise auch sehr fair! Ambiente ist.. naja, furchtbare Seitengasse, Inneneinrichtung ein Traum in neongrün. Und dann der Service.. was soll man sagen, alles geht schnell und fehlerfrei, aber auch komplett wortlos und man wird nicht mal angeschaut. Ich gehe trotzdem gerne hin, das super essen macht alles wieder wett. Vorsicht, manchmal merkwürdige öffnungszeiten.
