Food associated with Skittles. Absolute fun. Thanks to a separate area and our own music system, it was a very successful evening. My thanks go especially to the service and the kitchen.

I was always very impressed by the meat and visited The Grill regularly, at least twice a year. This week it was that time again. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Prices have since increased again, while kitchen performance appears to have declined: I ordered a 400g rump steak cooked medium. An apparently much smaller piece arrived. After the service asked in the kitchen, it was confirmed that due to a mistake there was only a 300g rump steak on my plate. The service promised that a new piece could be brought quickly and, after asking, they took the plate back with me. After about 5 minutes a new piece came on. However, this was obviously not a rump steak, but rather full of fat and completely raw. I complained about that too and was taken back to the kitchen by the service. After another 10 minutes my 400g rump steak arrived. That in turn was almost cooked through... But I didn't complain about it anymore in order to save the evening to some extent, because my wife had to eat alone in the meantime. “If only I had kept the first piece…..” I have to give the service credit that everything was done to make it right. I received all of the side dishes I ordered fresh and warm and we were invited for dessert. That means the service was top! Conclusion: Anyone who calls for such prices cannot afford such a farce when it comes to the core product, in this case meat. Mistakes can always happen. However, the cooking levels were so wrong - even my wife's meat wasn't really as ordered - while the restaurant wasn't even close to 20% full. So it couldn't have been due to stress in the kitchen. It's a shame - I always really enjoyed eating there. There was nothing better in Bremen. This era is over. 04/24/25 I was back now. This time everything worked out. The Nebraska Tenderloin was great.

We were there again yesterday, this time with eight people, and as always, it was delicious! The steaks were cooked exactly as we ordered them (from medium rare to medium well). I highly recommend it!

You have to be able to afford it! Anyone who can do it will not be disappointed! Diner for two is recommended to a limited extent, but it is a bit noisy, even in the quieter lounge. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, as well as very on the ball. Conclusion: I would definitely go there again, not to flex but to enjoy.

Very, very delicious, and the service was exceptionally friendly. It all started with the phone reservation, and all requests, such as customized side dish combinations and reordering drinks, or even a request to delay the main course because we wanted to give our birthday girl a gift, were quickly and humorously handled. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Good staff good service good food

The John Benton, a steak restaurant in Bremen that has been established for decades, has been shining in new splendor since 2024. A bright, friendly ambience spread over two levels in a prime location overlooking the market square. We went for dinner with friends on Saturday. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant was very busy. The food is excellent. We had fillet steak with fries, herb baguette, salad, and mushrooms. The fillet was grilled to perfection and tender, and the fries were crispy and crunchy. Simply delicious. Our friends had asparagus and were also delighted. For dessert, the four of us shared a large Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancake with pancakes), which came with vanilla sauce, cranberries, and apple sauce and was delicious. It has nothing to fear from any Austrian original. The service was extremely attentive, very friendly, and quick, even though the restaurant was very busy. That's what makes eating out fun.
