The atmosphere is very good and you are welcomed very well. There were three of us. We had the family platter with 300g U.S. Beef fillet and 400g U.S. Rump steak. The beef fillet was world class, rarely eaten such a good steak, while the rump steak was very poor. A bit stringy and not quite as tasty. We also ordered a 300g portion of filet mignon. That was also very good and sits between the fillet and the rump steak. The service was very nice and accommodating but unfortunately not well trained. Neither wine nor meat questions could be answered satisfactorily. But with these high prices it is a must in my opinion. Therefore only 3 stars. Conclusion: The beef fillet is great, the ambience and friendliness also score points, but not every piece of meat was perfect and the service needs to get more familiar with it.

The two of us went out for dinner and were skeptical at first because the restaurant was poorly attended on Saturday evening around 8:00 p.m. Many people also associate the quality of the restaurant with the number of visitors. But that would be completely missing the point at this point, because it was super tasty and we both enjoyed it. Since my darling ran the kitchen in a restaurant herself and is a trained chef, you can take our/my rating very much to heart. Guys, go eat there, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Excellent food and great atmosphere! I tried the fillet steak with baked potato and it was cooked perfectly - buttery tender and cooked to perfection. I particularly liked the combination with the creamy potato. As an additional treat, I had a zander fillet that was wonderfully crispy and juicy at the same time. I was also impressed by the turkey specialties, they were tender and aromatic. The atmosphere at John Benton is cozy and the service is attentive. I can recommend it to anyone looking for excellent meat and fish dishes in Bremen.
