The food was quite good.
Unfortunately, the place isn't quite as clean as you'd expect from a restaurant that serves food.
Service was okay, but the food didn't arrive at the same time.
We were there today with 16 people, including 10 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 children, we ordered the food and drinks where the first negative point came into play - there are only small bottles of soda or cola here for the price of €3.20 for 3 pieces That's a nice sum per person. Luckily that has been abolished and now there are also glasses. Then came the actual main course for 19€ prawns. I have to say they were a real treat for the palate, really tasty but really little for the money. Since there was only 1 starter (the second Manco) which I didn't like, it was the only alternative. 2 small children received their food quite quickly (pasta with tomato sauce) and the food was also very tasty. Everyone else also got their main courses, only me and my 2 little ones didn't. We had to wait because we were forgotten. When everyone else had eaten, we finally got our food. I had a cordon bleu which was also really great. We had to wait almost half an hour for the ice cream. All in all it was ok, some things could have gone better, others could have been offered cheaper. But I and everyone who was there with us that evening can't say anything about the taste. The food is really delicious. Another positive thing to note is that there is a play corner for the little ones.
We used to order from you often and happily, but the last three times were so bad that we won't order from you again.
Yesterday, just like the last few times, the oriental salad was as nasty as if it was from the day before or older. The fries arrive soggy, the pizza rolls weren't cooked through and every time I write that we don't want any sauce with the Pomdöner... that wasn't even taken into account.
I can't say anything about the atmosphere because I only order home and have known the snack bar through my parents since the 1990s.
All the time the quality is always great and it is very reliable when you order from Jade.
It always arrives hot and it tastes absolutely delicious, then as now and I really hope it stays that way!
Whenever you want to buy a kebab there, the raw skewer hangs there without turning or being fried. The kebab pocket is diligently filled with pre-cut meat that has been warmed up again in the pizza oven. Stop with the crap and order a smaller skewer if you can't get rid of the amount of meat. It's actually a shame when you consider that they charge 7 euros for a kebab and for extras such as: Want to have sheep's cheese 1.50 extra. The only reason for visiting is that there is no other snack bar on Eckbusch.
We had the M24 menu for two and it was pretty tasty, but the three fried rolls really made it too much for us. The food was very good, the service was good too. The ambience could be improved a bit. But if you don't have a problem with a rustic snack bar, you can get food here with a great price/performance ratio. We found a sumptuous sushi menu for two people for under €40 very reasonable. Unfortunately only cash payment. We were very satisfied here and will come back when the opportunity arises.
Time from order to delivery: 1.5 hours
Time from "order on the way" to me: 40 minutes (with raw fish - according to the employee's statement, it's probably quite normal for them. Hmmmm....everyone can form their own opinion)
What the employee said to me on the phone: Just never order from King Sushi Bar again.
I would recommend everyone to follow the advice of this person on the phone.
Ordered via Lieferando
Absolutely no recommendation. Instead of the 15-45 minutes specified, I received an SMS and the message in the food tracker that it would take 60 minutes. After it still wasn't there at 1:00 even though the timer had already expired for several minutes, I left because then the restaurant was marked as closed on Lieferando. About half an hour later I was woken up at around 1:25 by a spammy cell phone number who called 4 times in one minute. I don't know how the restaurant performs otherwise, but I would advise against ordering through Lieferando because I didn't get anything to eat and was then woken up in the middle of the night.
There at least once a week for over a year.
Absolutely delighted with the food and service every time.
It's just worth eating there.
Also highly recommended for seniors, as the restaurant is barrier-free.
We ate there with five people before the WSV game. The service was good, and it was cozy outside.
The food varies. The pizzas were very good, as was the burger, but the asparagus dish was only lukewarm. The grilled meat was mediocre. The fries were too crispy, and some of the meat was sliced paper-thin. The taste was okay.
Given the prices and reputation, I would have expected more. There's still plenty of room for improvement.
"Burger King Alter Markt – Fast food, served slowly, with a touch of apocalyptic vibe."
4/5 stars
If you're hungry and not afraid of fluorescent lighting and profound life questions, this is the place for you.
The decor screams "Welcome to the early 2000s," and the clientele is a colorful mix of hungry teenagers, philosophical homeless people, and people who just want some peace and quiet – and who end up here, of all places.
The staff? Some are tired, some are cool, but always with the necessary will to survive. Respect to anyone who manages to build 20 cheeseburgers in 3 minutes in this atmosphere while a customer loudly argues with their Whopper.
The food? Exactly as expected. Greasy, salty, comforting. The Whopper won't save the world, but at least it will save the day. And the ice cream is cold enough to briefly numb an existential crisis.
Conclusion:
Burger King at the Alter Markt – a place between ketchup, chaos, and a little capitulation. But hey: If you can get a bite here, you'll somehow manage the rest of your life.
