Long wait for the food. Prices, in my opinion, too high. Quality moderate. The feta ran out of the bifteki as a brown broth. Waiting room atmosphere. Sorry, I didn't like it with you.

As a self-proclaimed truffle pasta tester, I went to 'Da Vinci' yesterday. The plate was huge, as was the tagliatelle itself. It was decorated decoratively and seemed like a lot, but in the end it wasn't. It also made it cold quickly. The truffle wasn't fresh, but the taste was ok. The staff was prompt, the food came quickly. It's good to sit inside, but there's a lot of through traffic with walkers and stadium visitors.

The service was very good and the food was also very tasty. Even after a small complaint, the situation was handled very well. Simply TOP!

Das Restaurant machte auf uns einen guten Eindruck und wir sind wohl wie die meisten Gäste nach dem Zoo Besuch spontan in dieser schönen anmutenden Gastronomie gelandet. Die Pizza von meinem Freund war okay, wenn auch noch relativ blass – aber mein Salat „Surf & Turf“ war zu 90 % Blattsalat, garniert mit zwei Paprikastreifen, ein paar Gurken und jeder Menge Joghurtdressing aus dem Glas sowie fünf teils ungeschälten Garnelen und fünf hauchdünnen Stücken Rindfleisch. Als ich der Kellnerin meine Unzufriedenheit mitgeteilt habe, hat sie zwar gesagt, es tut dir leid, aber eine weitere Reaktion ist nicht erfolgt.

Really tasty and reasonably priced. Friendly team. A little crowded and therefore quite loud this evening. I would love to come back for the good food!

Very nice people, good food, good prices

Very friendly staff The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. During our visit with the company we had a buffet dinner there. Everything was lovingly prepared and there was something for everyone. There was pizza, salad, pasta, various types of meat, rice and fried potatoes. And everything was replenished very quickly if something was empty. All in all it was a very cozy evening at Da Vinci.

We come from Dortmund and ate at Da Vinci on Sunday. Since it was very warm, we shared the Sofia salad. It looked beautifully presented and tasted very tasty. The bread with the aiolic cream was also good and we would order it again and again. LG.Hans Steer

The seafood pizza is not recommended. The batter had no taste, there was little seafood with strange texture. The french fries were okay. Unfortunately the waitress was having a bad day. We recommend tea with fresh mint

We went to this lovely restaurant today after our grandson's football game. However, we only drank something cold, a cappuccino and a latte macchiato. Both were super tasty, I almost burned my fingers on the glass of latte macchiato 😅. We didn't eat anything but the dishes that were served to other guests looked delicious. As the saying goes, you always see each other twice in your life 😃. We will definitely come back again and then we will taste the delicious food. Very nice restaurant and very friendly and fast staff

Unfortunately, the schnitzel day was a clear disappointment. Portion quite small, small convenience-shaped schnitzel with, in my opinion, not enough sauce. Service was unprofessional. No question about mayo or ketchup with the fries and when ordering drinks (4 people) you have to ask. It's a shame, great location at the zoo with plenty of parking. But unfortunately we were disappointed.

It's nice to sit outside. Food is OK but far too little compared to the price. The pasta is outrageously expensive, almost nothing on the plate. There used to be sensational portions here with at least the same quality. Too bad! Clever use of the lack of alternatives in the zoo district...

I've eaten here several times and have always been quite satisfied. Yesterday it hit me again and I wanted to eat one of the "great" pizzas again for a long time. That was probably nothing... For the hefty price increase since my last visit, you can now get a pizza that EVERY grill around the corner does better! Dry (NOT crispy) dough, lean topping, very little flavor overall... Sorry, for €15 (and more!) I expect a perfect pizza in an Italian-style restaurant!

Very nice and private location. We had dinner with family today. Price performance is good, there was something for everyone. Children loved the steiofenöizza, the steak from the heisestein was great. Fresh tagliatelle with prawns and mussels are simply top. It is recommended...

The Da Vinci conveys a slightly higher standard in terms of taste, which is of course also reflected in the price. Still mostly justified. The menu selection could be more extensive, because there isn't that much left besides pasta, pizza and burgers. The staff seemed slightly grumpy, but that may well have been due to the way they were on the day.

Leider hat die Qualität des Essens sehr nachgelassen. Das Essen ist allenfalls mittelmäßig und dazu noch teuer. Obwohl wir früher hier gern essen waren, gehen wir mittlerweile mit der Familie anderswo essen. Beim letzten Mal hatten wir eine wirklich übersalzene, fettige & matschige Margherita für die Kinder, die Nudelportionen sind klein und geschmacksneutral, der Salat für 14€ war Eisbergsalat mit Oliven aus dem Glas und wirklich mit billigen Zutaten. Das Restaurant hat Glück und lebt von der Laufkundschaft vom Zoo. Die kommen eh meist nur einmal.

My husband and I had Argentinian steak - I had the rump steak 200g and he had the rib eye 300g. His meat was excellent, mine was very well done and very fatty. The man who served us was unfriendly and didn't talk to us at all - no please, thank you, goodbye, etc. He also initially charged my husband for the €16 more expensive fillet. When my husband noticed this and pointed it out, the operator recalculated manually. It was only afterwards that we realized that he had still overcharged after we pointed it out. He charged us 400g instead of 300g. We didn't receive an invoice either. I'm really not a Karen, but that was pretty bold. Not only did we pay way too much, but also that he was so unfriendly. So you don't have to be surprised if you don't get a tip. He gave himself the tip anyway because of his fraud.

We can recommend the restaurant for a very good pizza meal. Unfortunately it's not good for international food. I celebrated there in a small group at the beginning of the month. My expectations were not exceeded. I can only confirm what is described in some cases as small portions for expensive money. Here is an example: (2 small plates of antipasti topped with some tomatoes, peppers, rocket, goat cheese and a few slices of raw ham charged at €89 - bordering on a rip-off). In my opinion, the value of the products used in it was less than €20. But you only get the correct prices on the invoice. I'm sorry that I didn't complain directly on site, but I just didn't want to ruin the day even further in front of the guests.

Very, very tasty restaurant with a wide selection of dishes and drinks. The staff is very friendly, always checks on everything and it's really nice to sit outside! It also looks very pleasant inside, but I haven't sat there yet! After visiting the zoo, I really enjoy eating here :)

We were in the restaurant with 5 people. Compared to the price, the minced steak Feta was more like a “lunch special” and was therefore significantly too expensive. Unfortunately not recommended if you have a hungry stomach. The taste was ok, but unfortunately the portions were too small. Unfortunately, it's far too loud for conversations at the table. The service? Oh well...

Nice sun terrace and lots of parking spaces. The food and drinks are also satisfactory. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. Every time we were there, we waited forever to be served and had to wave around to be seen, even when the place wasn't full. Drinks were forgotten and mixed up, We also all thought that the waiters were not at eye level. When we didn't offer a tip because every drink was wrong and we waited 15 minutes for the bill, he just rolled his eyes at me, rounded the amount down and said he didn't have any change, we can give the rest next time... I've never seen anything like this before... It's a shame about the beautiful location and the good chef.

After visiting the zoo we went to Da Vinci. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost half an hour for our drinks to arrive and we were only able to order the food after an hour. We received our food 1 1/2 hours after arrival. This was fine so far. We needed a high chair for our little son, which was unfortunately completely dirty and this was not just dirt from that day, but from a very long time ago. Please make sure that the little ones, who are also paying for the meals, want to sit on a hygienic, clean chair. The Ikea high chairs are really easy to clean. It should go without saying that this is done after every visit.

A very good place to eat after visiting the zoo. It was schnitzel day with a good selection. The regular memory card was also available. All very tasty.

Wir sind regelmäßig dort zum Essen auch wenn man nach längerer Zeit erst dort hingehen kann wird man freundlich begrüßt man fühlt sich wohl und das Essen und der Service ist super. Man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Können wir jeden empfehlen.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. A fantastic asparagus cream soup enriched with truffles. Very good pizza like a pizza from Italy. Big portion. I find all the dishes to be very good value for money. And the service team was also very accommodating and had a great eye for everyone present.

The food was ok. The service, well. We had to point out that our salads were missing. If we hadn't called for more drinks (we were only asked at the beginning, then no more) we would have evaporated. We were also not asked for any other food requests, such as dessert. A pity. I don't have to go there again.

We had been invited to a major event at the location. At the entrance we asked where the festival was taking place (of course we said the name of the organizer). We were just looked at with wide eyes and were asked how many people we would be coming with... This really irritated us and we said that there would probably be 80 to 100 people. The cellar just sucked the air through his lips and replied that this would probably be difficult 🤣. We then called the organizer, who just said "go through the bar, in the large hall"... so we went in. Since we had our children with us (one 8 years old and the other 8 months old) I asked for a high seat, it was simply handed to me and so I was allowed to transport the chair all by myself through the entire room to the farthest corner I had the child in my arms and the diaper bag slung over my shoulder! After ordering the food, the food came 2 hours later (we were at 9:30 p.m.). The food was just nicely presented, the quality of the food was rather inferior and the taste was discounter quality (including the homemade lemonade). Price/performance is not right here at all. I can only advise against anyone who wants to celebrate their wedding or anniversary there.

If you want to eat here you have to bring your time. In terms of price, the food (and drink) is quite demanding and doesn't seem entirely justified.

Today at the zoo, next to a nice restaurant with a nice terrace, so we decide to stop a table of 16 people. Apparently, due to the proximity to the zoo, you don't have to rely on returning customers. I've eaten here a few times and would have liked to come back more often if the service hadn't been so incredibly unfriendly and rude every time. The service is terrible, eating with a lot of people is no fun, the first one is finished before the last one gets their food. The prices are hefty! In no way justified for the performance. We spontaneously ate there on Sunday lunchtime without registering. A huge family celebration in the restaurant, but we were still almost happy with the waiting times. The taste of the food was very good, the selection was absolutely great, we have saved the restaurant and will come back.

Nice restaurant with ambience. Unfortunately, the upholstery is a bit worn, but that doesn't change the excellent quality of the pizzas. The staff, even if they don't understand everything straight away, are extremely nice and accommodating.

We were there with the family, eight people, including four adults, two teenagers and two children. I was happy because I knew that Thursday was “all you can eat” spareribs day. What can I go on and on about, the boys and my wife had a 180g BBQ burger with some kind of chips that were really good. Unfortunately, not even the children got enough of it. My wife had fewer fries on her plate than our little one, who had a children's plate. By the way, the children's plate was just as expensive as a normal adult plate. My mother and aunt had noodles, which were probably very, very little, but tasted good. I was really looking forward to my spare ribs. When I first got them, they included a salad and also the chip-like potato slices. The salad tasted of nothing, no spices. The sparerib was drowned in a BBQ sauce. When I asked about leaving out the BBQ sauce, I was told that wouldn't work. I wondered why, until I realized that you could only eat three of them at most because you'd feel sick afterwards from all the BBQ sauce. We'll never eat here again.

When we went into the restaurant it was so cold that we left our jackets on. Other guests also sat at the table wearing jackets. After asking to turn on the heating, we got the answer that it is turned on. When ordering, you had to repeat yourself to the waiter several times because he obviously didn't understand you very well. The ribs were like cardboard. Not good taste and not crispy, they weren't grilled. The steak was okay, but it wasn't particularly special either. Ordered English and got medium. We didn't feel comfortable there. Was a try, but unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Locally close to Wuppertal Zoo and a large free parking lot. Good food but relatively expensive. We were only in the outside lighting! Waiter spoke bad German.

Rustic inn with good food and friendly innkeepers. We were there with 8 people and ordered a wide variety of food on the menu. There was no criticism from anyone. I had a pizza that was almost like in Italy. So we'll be back and when we said goodbye we reserved a table for our next meeting.

Visit to Da Vinci: A culinary highlight at the green zoo From the moment we entered Da Vinci we were greeted by the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The pizza was a dream - crispy base, fresh ingredients and every slice a piece of heaven on earth. Not to be forgotten are the homemade noodles, which impressed with their authenticity and excellent taste. It was an all-round successful evening in a restaurant that knows how to create culinary delights. A must for every Italian food lover!

We went to Da Vinci to celebrate my birthday with my parents and think about the old cowshed. In short: The food was good (waited a bit long for the food), large portions, the service was good, the waitresses were nice, but what didn't work at all was: full sound with very loud music. It wasn't possible to have a relaxed conversation - you had to shout at each other, which was far too strenuous in the long run. With the request that the music in the basement be turned down, which he did, the boss went shortly afterwards and turned the music loud again. There can be no question of a relaxing evening.

More of a flop than a top! I can't understand the reviews here! We had reserved a table, when we entered the restaurant there was a short “Hello” and a short “ In the upper right corner" We sat down and quickly got the feeling that it was similar to sitting in a train station lobby! Loud, cold atmosphere. A normal conversation was hardly possible because, luckily for us, the music box was also hanging there! The waiter came and asked “drink?” The second time he came and asked “food?” Complete sentences don't seem to be popular. I'm a bit at a loss for words about the food itself. The salmon was totally salty and the pizza was very dry and not really hot. My wife ordered a white wine, the first glass was good and the second glass was a completely different white wine! Conclusion: No comparison to the past and no longer worth a visit, there are better ones in the valley. Thank you for the great evening.

Meat dishes, pasta, pizza delicious, good quality, good portions. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, upscale price range.

Prices like a "big one", service like in a canteen. The positive first: We all enjoyed the food. Everything about pasta, pizza, grilled plates and burgers was good. Unfortunately, the portions of the noodles were very small and also portioned differently. This was also communicated, but the service was not interested. Due to the decent prices, you would expect a certain standard, but that wasn't there. Examples: Plates are passed across the table between people (the distance around the table is probably too far), labels on glasses are not turned towards the guest, waiters in aprons (looks like in the canteen), menu sheets are already untidy on the table (with some typos) About the ambience: music too loud, uncomfortable bright lights & flashing fairy lights. There are certainly some things you can overlook, but a return visit is out of the question for me.

Pizza nicht ganz so perfekt belegt wie in Velbert, aber durchaus gut. Bedienung super nett und schnell, obwohl das Restaurant voll war. Gerne wieder!

Das Essen schmeckt gut und wird nach Bestellung zeitnah gebracht. Preise sind allerdings hoch. Über 14€ für ein Kinderschnitzel mit einer sehr überschaubaren Anzahl an Pommes ist schon etwas heftig. Dafür sehr aufmerksamer Service und Eis für die Kinder sowie Espresso und Milchkaffee aufs Haus.

Wir hatten Samstags am Nachmittag einen Tisch reserviert. Bloß hatten wir vergessen, dass der WSV an dem Tag ein Fußballspiel hatte und nach dem Spiel viele Fans noch in dem daneben liegenden Restaurant etwas essen wollten. Also war die Gaststätte voll mit lärmenden Fans und man hat uns in einen riesigen eiskalten Nebenraum gebeten, un dem wir alleine saßen (wegen der Temperatur in Wintermänteln). Das Essen war okay, aber wir konntenes nicht richtig genießen und sind direkt nach dem Essen weg. War halt nix.

Preis leistung bei den Pizzen sehr gut. Große Pizzen, reichlich belegt, dünn und kross. Gerne wieder.

Die Lage des Restaurants ist sehr schön. Es gibt mehr als ausreichend Parkplätze und wenn man möchte, ist man in wenigen Gehminuten im Wuppertaler Zoo. Bei meinen Besuchen waren die Bedienungen nie wirklich interessiert und immer gehetzt... Pizza und Speckpfannkuchen sind frisch zubereitet und recht lecker. Der Rest scheint mir eher Convenience Food zu sein. Eine bestellte Minestrone habe ich nach einem Löffel zurückgehen lassen... was der Bedienung ziemlich egal war. Ein Glas Wein oder Bier im Aussenbereich ist jedoch eine nette Angelegenheit.

Pizzen aus dem Steinofen. Sehr lecker. Sehr knusprige dünne und große Pizuen mit frischen Zutaten und Olivenöl belegt. Angemessene Preise. Nette Bedienung. Reichlich Parkplätze[wenn der Zoo geschlossen ist! ]

Das Essen war lecker, aber zu teuer. Wir mussten fast 1 1/2 Stunden auf 4 Pizzen warten. Man hat sich zwar entschuldigt und auch etwas Brot und Dipp gebracht, aber das machte es nicht wirklich besser. Die Toiletten waren total verschmutzt. Es war zwar schon Abend, aber das tut nichts zur Sache, man muss in einer so stark frequentierten Gastronomie auch zwischendurch mal den Wischer schwingen.

Wir waren hier eigentlich immer zufrieden, das Essen war durchweg gut. Allerdings haben wir dann extra einen Tisch zum "Spare Ribs all you can eat" bestellt und dazu gesagt, dass wir das Angebot in Anspruch nehmen wollen. Zur reservierten Uhrzeit lief das Angebot auch gerade erst kurze Zeit, es war früher Abend. Nach den ersten Portionen hieß es dann auf einmal, dass die Spare Ribs aus währen. Das Personal hat in dem Moment gut reagiert und alternative Speisen angeboten. Glücklich wurden wir damit aber nicht, denn wir hatten uns sehr auf die (wirklich guten) Spare Ribs gefreut. Auf eine sehr freundlich geschriebene E-Mail zu dem Erlebnis, haben wir nie eine Antwort bekommen. Schade, dass konstruktive Kritik hier nicht Wertgeschätzt wird.

nettes Restaurant in der Nähe vom Wuppertaler Zoo gelegen. Man kann drinnen oder auch draußen überdacht sitzen. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen...ich würde die Auswahl als mediterran bezeichnen. Das von uns ausgewählte Essen war ok, es hat geschmeckt aber es hätte etwas mehr Würze vertragen können. Das Dessert hat es dann aber wieder ausgeglichen.
