I celebrated my birthday there recently. It was reserved for 10 people. The burgers were supposedly made with homemade sauce, but they were mustard and mayonnaise. The patties were dried out, and the portions were noticeably smaller. The pistachio pasta was bitter; my mother couldn't finish it all. The pizzas arrived 15 minutes after the rest of the orders. Especially on such an important day, I think it's all the more important that everyone's food arrives at the same time, but that wasn't the case. The only thing that was really good was the Lillet. Nobody expected anyone to say congratulations or anything like that. On top of that, the waiters constantly take advantage of you, including guests over 60, who aren't used to being on first-name terms. We had to ask several times for the table to be cleared. For almost 500 euros, you'd expect something different. Unfortunately, I know the place and have been there several times, and I think you've gone down a lot. A real disappointment.

I love eating here. The atmosphere is lovely, and the food is always great! My favorite dish is the baby calamari with salad. The calamari is always grilled to perfection!

I ordered a soup as a starter. The minestrone was served in very attractive china. Unfortunately, the Italian vegetable soup was missing some ingredients like peas and fennel. Instead, I found eggplant, which tasted bitter and had a sloppy texture. No salt, no spices. The main course consisted of homemade spaghetti (highly recommended), oil, prawns, and chili. There were actually two prawns on the plate, and the rest was made up with crab. There was no chili (just overcooked chili flakes). The portion size was modest. I didn't feel full. What a disappointment. The homemade spritzer was lukewarm and tasted watery. The ambiance outside was dirty and gloomy. There weren't any lights on, nor were there any lovely decorations on the table. Never again!

We always enjoy sitting there and enjoying the pizzas. There's nothing to complain about; the staff are very friendly.

Very good pizzas and good value for money

During our last visit, the side salad was forgotten and the waiter reacted annoyed, but it still didn't arrive. The boss, annoyed, ended up giving the money for the salad to my father-in-law without an apology. It was a shame! We were happy to come. Today, four years later, I was at a funeral. There were no cake forks! Not even when asked?! A guest took over the catering (organizing glasses and water), and the boss and staff seemed listless and overwhelmed, even though it wasn't busy. It was a shame!

We were there on schnitzel day (Tuesday) and were disappointed. The portions were small for the price (our 6-year-old easily finished his schnitzel and fries and was hungry again when he got home), and the adults weren't full. The quality of the schnitzel was so-so. Thin and too dry. The fries and fried potatoes were okay, but not enough. No salad or anything like that. We've had much better. The drink selection was decent, and the ambiance was quite nice.

The food is delicious and highly recommended. Unfortunately, the service is a bit overwhelmed, despite only seven occupied tables.

We were there with a large group. The food was good and served quickly. However, the manager who took our order seemed to be having a particularly bad day. He was very rude and rude. When I said the number of my dish instead of the actual dish, he snapped at me, saying we weren't at school and he didn't know what to do with the number. The young ladies were much nicer. I noticed a lot of spelling mistakes on the menu. The interior is nice.

Food was nothing special but good. Service could be better. The server had to come back serveral times because the food we wanted was no longer available. When we ordered, it took over 40 minutes to be served.

Wow, simply amazing, the food was so delicious. The pizza was from the stone oven and huge, topped with fresh ingredients, and the burger was simply fantastic. Absolutely fantastic value for money. The staff were super nice and friendly.

I was very disappointed. The only positive thing was the ambiance. The service was very unfriendly and grumpy from the start. They didn't understand why it took us a little longer to choose. My beer tasted like dish soap, probably the glass wasn't rinsed properly, and my husband's Coke was non-carbonated. We received new drinks without any problems, but we were given another option. The food, for the high price, was only so-so. I've had much better elsewhere. My Thai curry chicken tasted of nothing, and the rice even less so. No salt or pepper to add seasoning. My husband's noodles with spinach sauce were also very bland. Too bad. For the prices they charge, I expect more. We won't be back, and we won't recommend it to anyone.

We've been there several times, and to sum it up, we're happy with everything. The price/performance ratio is also okay. Now that the weather's warm, you can also sit outside.

We wanted to eat pizza at Da Vinci on June 19, 2025, after a visit to the zoo. About 5 of the approximately 12 tables outside in the front garden were occupied, so they weren't really full. My son chose a seat at the table for 6. However, since there were only two of us, the older waitress asked us to move to a table for 4 in the alleyway, which didn't offer nearly as nice a view. I found the waitress's tone to be rude and impolite. We immediately felt unwelcome. It may have been that the waitress was having a bad day, but an older couple (2 people) at the table for 6 next to us was perfectly fine with her. Incomprehensible to me. I therefore cannot recommend a visit to this restaurant.

I ordered a simple grill burger. Nice and simple but incredibly tasty. A simple meal but it became a party. My compliments. Friendly staff and a beautiful restaurant.

We ate there with five people before the WSV game. The service was good, and it was cozy outside. The food varies. The pizzas were very good, as was the burger, but the asparagus dish was only lukewarm. The grilled meat was mediocre. The fries were too crispy, and some of the meat was sliced ​​paper-thin. The taste was okay. Given the prices and reputation, I would have expected more. There's still plenty of room for improvement.

I was a regular customer of this store 25 years ago. In the meantime I will come again. Still a very good restaurant with top management. The boss invited us to coffee after a nice meal, which I thought was very nice. Hence 5 star rating.

We were there with a group of 12 for dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. The ambiance was okay, but the open-plan size of the room made it a bit noisy, as the restaurant was quite busy. The wait for the food to be served was perfectly fine, rather short considering the many different dishes that had to be prepared. We ordered various pizzas, pasta dishes, mixed grills, appetizers, and desserts. Afterwards, we also ordered coffee specialties to go with the various drinks. The service was excellent; everyone really enjoyed the food, and the drinks were all decent... Personally, I have to complain that, while I understand the well-known problems in the restaurant industry, the drink prices for, for example, a glass of wine were a little too high. For example, lemonades seem a bit overpriced, which I find a bit excessive... All in all, however, this restaurant makes me wholeheartedly recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys the food on offer! We stopped here spontaneously after a visit to the zoo. The outdoor seating is quite nice, but the food is rather mediocre, nothing special. The prices are a bit too high, probably designed for spontaneous visits after the zoo.

Da Vinci in Wuppertal opposite the stadium is good. All you can eat is €5 more expensive but the quality is the same. We had the spare ribs, fantastic. The service is now fake friendly, previously rather grumpy. Greedy with money - please be careful! This time my son accompanied me. As a woman alone, the atmosphere isn't that exciting.

The Aoil, cream cheese that may have been in it, was slightly dominant. I ordered the Wiener-style schnitzel and my wife ordered the grill plate. The fries were very tasty as was the meat. The meat tasted a bit unseasoned, which wasn't too bad. It was unusual in combination with cranberries. My wife's food was very tasty. We will come by again 😊😊

After a visit to the zoo, we went to Da Vinci (to the old cowshed) for dinner. I took the Thursday offer of spare ribs all you can eat, my wife the bifteki. We were warmly welcomed and served, and before I had even finished the first portion of spareribs, I was asked for another portion, which I gladly accepted. The same question again before I finished eating the second spare rib, which I now had to answer in the negative because the two portions were completely sufficient (even for me). The meals were very tasty and freshly prepared. We would love to come back and would like to “try out” the other weekly offers. The menu and drink selection is very extensive and the service staff are very friendly and quick.

A nice atmosphere and great service. The rump steak was great, tender and to the point. You just have to remove it from the hot stone, otherwise it will continue to cook. The lamb medallions were very juicy and also tender. Everything is top quality, as are the open wines. The Barbera D'Alba is highly recommended, excellent. On our next visit we will try a pizza from the indoor stone oven.

The guest room was very cold, we put our jackets back on, no radiators on. Waited over 60 minutes for food when we said we were leaving now, the waitress said please 10 minutes. Then the food came. No excuse, or... Something on the house. The portions are small and expensive. Pizza is good and big.

We went to a Christmas party at Da Vinci yesterday. The service was initially good with the drinks, the drinks came quickly and orders were taken relatively quickly. But then came the rude awakening. When I asked whether the ribs (Thursday is ribs all can you eat) I was told that there would definitely be enough for all of us (10 people who also ordered them), and it shouldn't be a problem with second helpings/reordering. Unfortunately, it took an incredibly long time to deliver the food. After the first portion of ribs, we were able to reorder a small portion (half of each rib) but then suddenly the ribs were out!? There was no all can you can eat as advertised but basically just 1 extra portion. This cannot be the case and such advertising and offering, even when asked specifically, whether this is the case with the all can you eat and the failure to deliver the all can you eat is extremely sad. An improvement to the restaurant: does not offer all can you eats if you cannot deliver them. This is more like a rip-off because I have never experienced anything like it in my life.

We had our Christmas party there from the VDK. I was pleasantly surprised.

As a self-proclaimed truffle pasta tester, I went to 'Da Vinci' yesterday. The plate was huge, as was the tagliatelle itself. It was decorated decoratively and seemed like a lot, but in the end it wasn't. It also made it cold quickly. The truffle wasn't fresh, but the taste was ok. The staff was prompt, the food came quickly. It's good to sit inside, but there's a lot of through traffic with walkers and stadium visitors.

Das Restaurant machte auf uns einen guten Eindruck und wir sind wohl wie die meisten Gäste nach dem Zoo Besuch spontan in dieser schönen anmutenden Gastronomie gelandet. Die Pizza von meinem Freund war okay, wenn auch noch relativ blass – aber mein Salat „Surf & Turf“ war zu 90 % Blattsalat, garniert mit zwei Paprikastreifen, ein paar Gurken und jeder Menge Joghurtdressing aus dem Glas sowie fünf teils ungeschälten Garnelen und fünf hauchdünnen Stücken Rindfleisch. Als ich der Kellnerin meine Unzufriedenheit mitgeteilt habe, hat sie zwar gesagt, es tut dir leid, aber eine weitere Reaktion ist nicht erfolgt.

Very friendly staff The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. During our visit with the company we had a buffet dinner there. Everything was lovingly prepared and there was something for everyone. There was pizza, salad, pasta, various types of meat, rice and fried potatoes. And everything was replenished very quickly if something was empty. All in all it was a very cozy evening at Da Vinci.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't good, the waiting time of over 2 hours was bad and the service was overwhelmed.

We went to this lovely restaurant today after our grandson's football game. However, we only drank something cold, a cappuccino and a latte macchiato. Both were super tasty, I almost burned my fingers on the glass of latte macchiato 😅. We didn't eat anything but the dishes that were served to other guests looked delicious. As the saying goes, you always see each other twice in your life 😃. We will definitely come back again and then we will taste the delicious food. Very nice restaurant and very friendly and fast staff

For the hefty price increase since my last visit, you can now get a pizza that EVERY grill around the corner does better! Dry (NOT crispy) dough, lean topping, very little flavor overall... Sorry, for €15 (and more!) I expect a perfect pizza in an Italian-style restaurant!

Very nice and private location. We had dinner with family today. Price performance is good, there was something for everyone. Children loved the steiofenöizza, the steak from the heisestein was great. Fresh tagliatelle with prawns and mussels are simply top. It is recommended...

The Da Vinci conveys a slightly higher standard in terms of taste, which is of course also reflected in the price. Still mostly justified. The menu selection could be more extensive, because there isn't that much left besides pasta, pizza and burgers. The staff seemed slightly grumpy, but that may well have been due to the way they were on the day.

Leider hat die Qualität des Essens sehr nachgelassen. Das Essen ist allenfalls mittelmäßig und dazu noch teuer. Obwohl wir früher hier gern essen waren, gehen wir mittlerweile mit der Familie anderswo essen. Beim letzten Mal hatten wir eine wirklich übersalzene, fettige & matschige Margherita für die Kinder, die Nudelportionen sind klein und geschmacksneutral, der Salat für 14€ war Eisbergsalat mit Oliven aus dem Glas und wirklich mit billigen Zutaten. Das Restaurant hat Glück und lebt von der Laufkundschaft vom Zoo. Die kommen eh meist nur einmal.

My husband and I had Argentinian steak - I had the rump steak 200g and he had the rib eye 300g. His meat was excellent, mine was very well done and very fatty. The man who served us was unfriendly and didn't talk to us at all - no please, thank you, goodbye, etc. He also initially charged my husband for the €16 more expensive fillet. When my husband noticed this and pointed it out, the operator recalculated manually. It was only afterwards that we realized that he had still overcharged after we pointed it out. He charged us 400g instead of 300g. We didn't receive an invoice either. I'm really not a Karen, but that was pretty bold. Not only did we pay way too much, but also that he was so unfriendly. So you don't have to be surprised if you don't get a tip. He gave himself the tip anyway because of his fraud.

We can recommend the restaurant for a very good pizza meal. Unfortunately it's not good for international food. I celebrated there in a small group at the beginning of the month. My expectations were not exceeded. I can only confirm what is described in some cases as small portions for expensive money. Here is an example: (2 small plates of antipasti topped with some tomatoes, peppers, rocket, goat cheese and a few slices of raw ham charged at €89 - bordering on a rip-off). In my opinion, the value of the products used in it was less than €20. But you only get the correct prices on the invoice. I'm sorry that I didn't complain directly on site, but I just didn't want to ruin the day even further in front of the guests.

We were in the restaurant with 5 people. Compared to the price, the minced steak Feta was more like a “lunch special” and was therefore significantly too expensive. Unfortunately not recommended if you have a hungry stomach. The taste was ok, but unfortunately the portions were too small. Unfortunately, it's far too loud for conversations at the table. When we didn't offer a tip because every drink was wrong and we waited 15 minutes for the bill, he just rolled his eyes at me, rounded the amount down and said he didn't have any change, we can give the rest next time... I've never seen anything like this before... It's a shame about the beautiful location and the good chef.

After visiting the zoo we went to Da Vinci. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost half an hour for our drinks to arrive and we were only able to order the food after an hour. We received our food 1 1/2 hours after arrival. This was fine so far. We needed a high chair for our little son, which was unfortunately completely dirty and this was not just dirt from that day, but from a very long time ago. Please make sure that the little ones, who are also paying for the meals, want to sit on a hygienic, clean chair. The Ikea high chairs are really easy to clean. It should go without saying that this is done after every visit.

A very good place to eat after visiting the zoo. It was schnitzel day with a good selection. The regular memory card was also available. All very tasty.

Wir sind regelmäßig dort zum Essen auch wenn man nach längerer Zeit erst dort hingehen kann wird man freundlich begrüßt man fühlt sich wohl und das Essen und der Service ist super. Man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Können wir jeden empfehlen.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. A fantastic asparagus cream soup enriched with truffles. Very good pizza like a pizza from Italy. Big portion. I find all the dishes to be very good value for money. And the service team was also very accommodating and had a great eye for everyone present.

The food was ok. The service, well. We had to point out that our salads were missing. If we hadn't called for more drinks (we were only asked at the beginning, then no more) we would have evaporated. We were also not asked for any other food requests, such as dessert. A pity. I don't have to go there again.

We had been invited to a major event at the location. At the entrance we asked where the festival was taking place (of course we said the name of the organizer). We were just looked at with wide eyes and were asked how many people we would be coming with... This really irritated us and we said that there would probably be 80 to 100 people. The cellar just sucked the air through his lips and replied that this would probably be difficult 🤣. We then called the organizer, who just said "go through the bar, in the large hall"... so we went in. Since we had our children with us (one 8 years old and the other 8 months old) I asked for a high seat, it was simply handed to me and so I was allowed to transport the chair all by myself through the entire room to the farthest corner I had the child in my arms and the diaper bag slung over my shoulder! After ordering the food, the food came 2 hours later (we were at 9:30 p.m.). The food was just nicely presented, the quality of the food was rather inferior and the taste was discounter quality (including the homemade lemonade). Price/performance is not right here at all. I can only advise against anyone who wants to celebrate their wedding or anniversary there.

Today at the zoo, next to a nice restaurant with a nice terrace, so we decide to stop a table of 16 people. So far so good, after that comes the maître or the owner, and what can I say, gastronomic skills 0, friendliness towards the customer 0, we ask for a simple hamburger for the children, just meat, lettuce and tomato, that was not possible Since it wasn't on paper, we paid a normal hamburger for the ticket price. He complained about the children playing. So what should you say or evaluate?

Apparently, due to the proximity to the zoo, you don't have to rely on returning customers. I've eaten here a few times and would have liked to come back more often if the service hadn't been so incredibly unfriendly and rude every time. It's a shame because I live nearby and the food is okay. For the price you would expect either more or higher quality.

We spontaneously ate there on Sunday lunchtime without registering. A huge family celebration in the restaurant, but we were still almost happy with the waiting times. The taste of the food was very good, the selection was absolutely great, we have saved the restaurant and will come back.
