Very nice and private location. We had dinner with family today. Price performance is good, there was something for everyone. Children loved the steiofenöizza, the steak from the heisestein was great. Fresh tagliatelle with prawns and mussels are simply top. It is recommended...

Food was good...we were invited there for a birthday...but not every guest of ours was happy...but I was😄 my pizza 🍕 was great

The Da Vinci conveys a slightly higher standard in terms of taste, which is of course also reflected in the price. Still mostly justified. The menu selection could be more extensive, because there isn't that much left besides pasta, pizza and burgers. The staff seemed slightly grumpy, but that may well have been due to the way they were on the day.

My husband and I had Argentinian steak - I had the rump steak 200g and he had the rib eye 300g. His meat was excellent, mine was very well done and very fatty. The man who served us was unfriendly and didn't talk to us at all - no please, thank you, goodbye, etc. He also initially charged my husband for the €16 more expensive fillet. When my husband noticed this and pointed it out, the operator recalculated manually. It was only afterwards that we realized that he had still overcharged after we pointed it out. He charged us 400g instead of 300g. We didn't receive an invoice either. I'm really not a Karen, but that was pretty bold. Not only did we pay way too much, but also that he was so unfriendly. So you don't have to be surprised if you don't get a tip. He gave himself the tip anyway because of his fraud.

We can recommend the restaurant for a very good pizza meal. Unfortunately it's not good for international food. I celebrated there in a small group at the beginning of the month. My expectations were not exceeded. I can only confirm what is described in some cases as small portions for expensive money. Here is an example: (2 small plates of antipasti topped with some tomatoes, peppers, rocket, goat cheese and a few slices of raw ham charged at €89 - bordering on a rip-off). In my opinion, the value of the products used in it was less than €20. But you only get the correct prices on the invoice. I'm sorry that I didn't complain directly on site, but I just didn't want to ruin the day even further in front of the guests.

Very, very tasty restaurant with a wide selection of dishes and drinks. The staff is very friendly, always checks on everything and it's really nice to sit outside! It also looks very pleasant inside, but I haven't sat there yet! After visiting the zoo, I really enjoy eating here :)

Nice sun terrace and lots of parking spaces. The food and drinks are also satisfactory. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. Every time we were there, we waited forever to be served and had to wave around to be seen, even when the place wasn't full. Drinks were forgotten and mixed up, We also all thought that the waiters were not at eye level. When we didn't offer a tip because every drink was wrong and we waited 15 minutes for the bill, he just rolled his eyes at me, rounded the amount down and said he didn't have any change, we can give the rest next time... I've never seen anything like this before... It's a shame about the beautiful location and the good chef.

We were in the restaurant with 5 people. Compared to the price, the minced steak Feta was more like a “lunch special” and was therefore significantly too expensive. After visiting the zoo we went to Da Vinci. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost half an hour for our drinks to arrive and we were only able to order the food after an hour. We received our food 1 1/2 hours after arrival. This was fine so far. We needed a high chair for our little son, which was unfortunately completely dirty and this was not just dirt from that day, but from a very long time ago. Please make sure that the little ones, who are also paying for the meals, want to sit on a hygienic, clean chair. The Ikea high chairs are really easy to clean. It should go without saying that this is done after every visit.

A very good place to eat after visiting the zoo. It was schnitzel day with a good selection. The regular memory card was also available. All very tasty.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. A fantastic asparagus cream soup enriched with truffles. Very good pizza like a pizza from Italy. Big portion. I find all the dishes to be very good value for money. And the service team was also very accommodating and had a great eye for everyone present.

The food was ok. The service, well. We had to point out that our salads were missing. If we hadn't called for more drinks (we were only asked at the beginning, then no more) we would have evaporated. We were also not asked for any other food requests, such as dessert. A pity. I don't have to go there again.

We had been invited to a major event at the location. At the entrance we asked where the festival was taking place (of course we said the name of the organizer). We were just looked at with wide eyes and were asked how many people we would be coming with... This really irritated us and we said that there would probably be 80 to 100 people. The cellar just sucked the air through his lips and replied that this would probably be difficult 🤣. We then called the organizer, who just said "go through the bar, in the large hall"... so we went in. Since we had our children with us (one 8 years old and the other 8 months old) I asked for a high seat, it was simply handed to me and so I was allowed to transport the chair all by myself through the entire room to the farthest corner I had the child in my arms and the diaper bag slung over my shoulder! After ordering the food, the food came 2 hours later (we were at 9:30 p.m.). The food was just nicely presented, the quality of the food was rather inferior and the taste was discounter quality (including the homemade lemonade). Price/performance is not right here at all. I can only advise against anyone who wants to celebrate their wedding or anniversary there.

Today at the zoo, next to a nice restaurant with a nice terrace, so we decide to stop a table of 16 people. The service is terrible, eating with a lot of people is no fun, the first one is finished before the last one gets their food. The prices are hefty! In no way justified for the performance. Apparently, due to the proximity to the zoo, you don't have to rely on returning customers. I've eaten here a few times and would have liked to come back more often if the service hadn't been so incredibly unfriendly and rude every time. It's a shame because I live nearby and the food is okay. For the price you would expect either more or higher quality.

We spontaneously ate there on Sunday lunchtime without registering. A huge family celebration in the restaurant, but we were still almost happy with the waiting times. The taste of the food was very good, the selection was absolutely great, we have saved the restaurant and will come back.

Nice restaurant with ambience. Unfortunately, the upholstery is a bit worn, but that doesn't change the excellent quality of the pizzas. The staff, even if they don't understand everything straight away, are extremely nice and accommodating.

We were there with the family, eight people, including four adults, two teenagers and two children. I was happy because I knew that Thursday was “all you can eat” spareribs day. What can I go on and on about, the boys and my wife had a 180g BBQ burger with some kind of chips that were really good. Unfortunately, not even the children got enough of it. My wife had fewer fries on her plate than our little one, who had a children's plate. By the way, the children's plate was just as expensive as a normal adult plate. My mother and aunt had noodles, which were probably very, very little, but tasted good. I was really looking forward to my spare ribs. When I first got them, they included a salad and also the chip-like potato slices. The salad tasted of nothing, no spices. The sparerib was drowned in a BBQ sauce. When I asked about leaving out the BBQ sauce, I was told that wouldn't work. I wondered why, until I realized that you could only eat three of them at most because you'd feel sick afterwards from all the BBQ sauce. We'll never eat here again.

When we went into the restaurant it was so cold that we left our jackets on. Other guests also sat at the table wearing jackets. After asking to turn on the heating, we got the answer that it is turned on. When ordering, you had to repeat yourself to the waiter several times because he obviously didn't understand you very well. The ribs were like cardboard. Not good taste and not crispy, they weren't grilled. The steak was okay, but it wasn't particularly special either. Ordered English and got medium. We didn't feel comfortable there. Was a try, but unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Locally close to Wuppertal Zoo and a large free parking lot. Good food but relatively expensive. We were only in the outside lighting! Waiter spoke bad German.

Rustic inn with good food and friendly innkeepers. We were there with 8 people and ordered a wide variety of food on the menu. There was no criticism from anyone. I had a pizza that was almost like in Italy. So we'll be back and when we said goodbye we reserved a table for our next meeting.

Visit to Da Vinci: A culinary highlight at the green zoo From the moment we entered Da Vinci we were greeted by the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The pizza was a dream - crispy base, fresh ingredients and every slice a piece of heaven on earth. Not to be forgotten are the homemade noodles, which impressed with their authenticity and excellent taste. It was an all-round successful evening in a restaurant that knows how to create culinary delights. A must for every Italian food lover!

We went to Da Vinci to celebrate my birthday with my parents and think about the old cowshed. In short: The food was good (waited a bit long for the food), large portions, the service was good, the waitresses were nice, but what didn't work at all was: full sound with very loud music. It wasn't possible to have a relaxed conversation - you had to shout at each other, which was far too strenuous in the long run. With the request that the music in the basement be turned down, which he did, the boss went shortly afterwards and turned the music loud again. There can be no question of a relaxing evening.

More of a flop than a top! I can't understand the reviews here! We had reserved a table, when we entered the restaurant there was a short “Hello” and a short “ In the upper right corner" We sat down and quickly got the feeling that it was similar to sitting in a train station lobby! Loud, cold atmosphere. A normal conversation was hardly possible because, luckily for us, the music box was also hanging there! The waiter came and asked “drink?” The second time he came and asked “food?” Complete sentences don't seem to be popular. I'm a bit at a loss for words about the food itself. The salmon was totally salty and the pizza was very dry and not really hot. My wife ordered a white wine, the first glass was good and the second glass was a completely different white wine! Conclusion: No comparison to the past and no longer worth a visit, there are better ones in the valley. Thank you for the great evening.

Prices like a "big one", service like in a canteen. The positive first: We all enjoyed the food. Everything about pasta, pizza, grilled plates and burgers was good. Unfortunately, the portions of the noodles were very small and also portioned differently. This was also communicated, but the service was not interested. Due to the decent prices, you would expect a certain standard, but that wasn't there. Examples: Plates are passed across the table between people (the distance around the table is probably too far), labels on glasses are not turned towards the guest, waiters in aprons (looks like in the canteen), menu sheets are already untidy on the table (with some typos) About the ambience: music too loud, uncomfortable bright lights & flashing fairy lights. There are certainly some things you can overlook, but a return visit is out of the question for me.

Pizza nicht ganz so perfekt belegt wie in Velbert, aber durchaus gut. Bedienung super nett und schnell, obwohl das Restaurant voll war. Gerne wieder!

Das Essen schmeckt gut und wird nach Bestellung zeitnah gebracht. Preise sind allerdings hoch. Über 14€ für ein Kinderschnitzel mit einer sehr überschaubaren Anzahl an Pommes ist schon etwas heftig. Dafür sehr aufmerksamer Service und Eis für die Kinder sowie Espresso und Milchkaffee aufs Haus.

Wir hatten Samstags am Nachmittag einen Tisch reserviert. Bloß hatten wir vergessen, dass der WSV an dem Tag ein Fußballspiel hatte und nach dem Spiel viele Fans noch in dem daneben liegenden Restaurant etwas essen wollten. Also war die Gaststätte voll mit lärmenden Fans und man hat uns in einen riesigen eiskalten Nebenraum gebeten, un dem wir alleine saßen (wegen der Temperatur in Wintermänteln). Das Essen war okay, aber wir konntenes nicht richtig genießen und sind direkt nach dem Essen weg. War halt nix.

Preis leistung bei den Pizzen sehr gut. Große Pizzen, reichlich belegt, dünn und kross. Gerne wieder.

Die Lage des Restaurants ist sehr schön. Es gibt mehr als ausreichend Parkplätze und wenn man möchte, ist man in wenigen Gehminuten im Wuppertaler Zoo. Bei meinen Besuchen waren die Bedienungen nie wirklich interessiert und immer gehetzt... Pizza und Speckpfannkuchen sind frisch zubereitet und recht lecker. Der Rest scheint mir eher Convenience Food zu sein. Eine bestellte Minestrone habe ich nach einem Löffel zurückgehen lassen... was der Bedienung ziemlich egal war. Ein Glas Wein oder Bier im Aussenbereich ist jedoch eine nette Angelegenheit.

Pizzen aus dem Steinofen. Sehr lecker. Sehr knusprige dünne und große Pizuen mit frischen Zutaten und Olivenöl belegt. Angemessene Preise. Nette Bedienung. Reichlich Parkplätze[wenn der Zoo geschlossen ist! ]

Das Essen war lecker, aber zu teuer. Wir mussten fast 1 1/2 Stunden auf 4 Pizzen warten. Man hat sich zwar entschuldigt und auch etwas Brot und Dipp gebracht, aber das machte es nicht wirklich besser. Die Toiletten waren total verschmutzt. Es war zwar schon Abend, aber das tut nichts zur Sache, man muss in einer so stark frequentierten Gastronomie auch zwischendurch mal den Wischer schwingen.

Wir waren hier eigentlich immer zufrieden, das Essen war durchweg gut. Allerdings haben wir dann extra einen Tisch zum "Spare Ribs all you can eat" bestellt und dazu gesagt, dass wir das Angebot in Anspruch nehmen wollen. Zur reservierten Uhrzeit lief das Angebot auch gerade erst kurze Zeit, es war früher Abend. Nach den ersten Portionen hieß es dann auf einmal, dass die Spare Ribs aus währen. Das Personal hat in dem Moment gut reagiert und alternative Speisen angeboten. Glücklich wurden wir damit aber nicht, denn wir hatten uns sehr auf die (wirklich guten) Spare Ribs gefreut. Auf eine sehr freundlich geschriebene E-Mail zu dem Erlebnis, haben wir nie eine Antwort bekommen. Schade, dass konstruktive Kritik hier nicht Wertgeschätzt wird.

Wir hätten auf den Rat unserer wuppertaler Freunde hören sollen. Muss man nicht mehr hingehen

nettes Restaurant in der Nähe vom Wuppertaler Zoo gelegen. Man kann drinnen oder auch draußen überdacht sitzen. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen...ich würde die Auswahl als mediterran bezeichnen. Das von uns ausgewählte Essen war ok, es hat geschmeckt aber es hätte etwas mehr Würze vertragen können. Das Dessert hat es dann aber wieder ausgeglichen.

Die Lage am Zoo ist gut, das Restaurant sieht einladend aus. Leider fällt beim Betreten des Gastraums direkt der laute Geräuschpegel und die schlechte Akustik auf. Positiv hingegen: das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Hätten wir allerdings um die Qualität der Speisen, und vor allem darum gewusst, wie lange wir auf sie zu warten hatten, wir hätten gar nicht erst reserviert. Nach unverhältnismäßig langer Wartezeit erhielten wir labbrige Pizza, matschige Burger, Schnitzel, die nach nichts schmeckten und Steaks, die bestenfalls durchschnittlich waren. Schade um eine Abend, der ein schöner hätte werden können.

Ich hatte heute Spaghetti aglio olio mit Gambas serviert als Portion in einem kleinen Schüsselchen mit 6 (sechs) Shrimps. Die Portion war sehr überschaubar. Hierfür musste ich 14,90 € bezahlen. Ein schlechter Witz!

Viel versprechende Lage und Karte. Essen in Ordnung, aber überteuert. Service grottig. Unterbesetzt, keine Gastfreundschaft zu spüren - auch nicht bemüht. Wir hatten Glück, und mussten nicht lange auf Getränke und Essen warten (andere Gäste warteten ewig, ein Tisch drinnen wurde die ganze Zeit nicht abgeräumt...). Wieder zeigt sich, dass, wer gute Lage hat, sich nicht um Gästeverlust sorgen, und entsprechend bemühen muss...

An einem sonnigen Tag nach einem Zoo Besuch wollten wir zum Abschluss des Tages noch ein kühles Getränk auf der großzügigen Terrasse trinken, als wir kommentarlos die Getränke bestellt hatten, wurden uns die 3 Getränke sehr unfreundlich auf den Tisch gestellt und wir dazu äusserst unfreundlich und aggressiv aufgefordert auch etwas zu essen bestellen zu müssen, sonst hätten wir hier nichts zu suchen und müssten gehen, das haben wir dann getan. Ohne Worte. Da hat jemand das Konzept einer Gastronomie nicht verstanden und weit verfehlt!!!

Wir hatten für 4 Personen reserviert. Der Service war unfreundlich und sehr langsam, obwohl es nicht voll war. Die Karte klang gut und vielversprechend wie eine gehobene Küche. Die Realität war ziemlich ernüchternd: Der große Salatteler mit Rind und Gambas entpuppte sich viele grüne Blätter mit einem Streifen Rind und 4 kleinen Gambas. Das Duett aus SpareRipps und Hähnchen war zwar lecker, aber nicht zum sattwerden geeignet. Die Getränkepreise sind ziemlich abgehoben, zB 1 Fl.Wasser 6,50€. Insgesamt nicht zu empfehlen

Das DA VINCI ist sowohl vom Essen als auch vom Personal allenfalls Durchschnitt. Es ist sehr laut......Essen dauert oft sehr lange....Service unbeholfen....im Notfall fährt man hin, weil es immer freie Plätze gibt...aber es kann an vielen Stellen nachgebessert werden.......Pizza zum Mitnehmen aus dem Steinofen ist zu empfehlen und auch lecker...

Wir waren oft im Restaurant essen. Was uns Freitag Abend geliefert wurde, war so mies (Teig wie Pappe, eine Belegung katastrophal...), dass wir nicht glauben wollen, dass diese Pizzen von Da Vinci kommen. So macht man sich das Geschäft selbst schlecht.

Die Sonne scheint über Wuppertal, Wir hatten nach einem Spaziergang im Zoo einen Platz auf der schönen Terrasse im Da Vinci gefunden. Der freundliche Service war aufmerksam und bemüht. Die Pizza ist ein Traum der Fisch war super gegrillt, der Salat knackig und die Pommes für unsere kinder kross. Wir können das Da Vinci nur empfehlen auch wenn die Vorschriften etwas Lästig sind. Da wir recht spät nach Hause kamen (21:00 Uhr) hatten wir uns zunächst auf der Homepage nach den Öffnungszeiten erkundigt. Da hier stand, dass der Laden bis 00:00 Uhr und die Küche bis 22:00 geöffnet sei, sind wir zum da Vinci gefahren. Im Eingangsbereich verweilten wir über 5 Minuten, obwohl uns diverse Mitarbeiter gesehen haben, kam niemand auf uns zu. Nachdem ich irgendwann laut „Guten Abend“ gesagt habe, bequemte sich ein Mitarbeiter zu uns und gab den Hinweis, dass bereits geschlossen sei. Da die Terrasse noch mehr als zur Hälfte gefüllt war, wies ich etwas verblüfft auf die auf der Homepage dargestellten Öffnungszeiten hin. Der Kellner verweis daraufhin auf eine Kollegin, die weitere 5 Minuten später dann freundlicher Weise zu uns kam. Diese hampelte dann vor uns herum und erzählte was von „wir haben doch Corona“. Ich frage mich, ob die Dame womöglich schon den einen oder anderen mitgetrunken hatte... De facto schloss der Laden nun um 22:00 und die Küche war auch nicht mehr zu motivieren. Freundlich kostet nichts - in diesem „Restaurant“ scheinbar trotzdem zu viel verlangt. Danke - never again!

Zu Coronazeiten war es alles andere als ein schöner Besuch. Die Tische sind nackt, kein Blümchen, Terlicht würde nicht angezündet, die Bedienung ist unter der Maske nicht zu verstehen, das Steak kam schnell, war aber leider nur lauwarm, der Nachtisch war sehr lecker. Irgendwie hatte das alles keinen Stil, das kann man auch mit Corona etwas anders machen, damit Gäste dich wohl fühlen. Mir tun die Gastronomen zur Zeit sehr leid, deshalb gehe ich auch unter Coronaumständen essen, aber der Service könnte dann mehr tun.

Wir waren nach langer Coronapause mal wieder im Da Vinci. Die Speisen schmecken frisch und sind super angerichtet. Wir fragtend den freundlichen Service und habe erfahren das ein neuer Küchenchef im Da Vinci kocht...... Super weiter so eine tolle Bereicherung.

Wir waren mit 9 Personen zu einer Geburtstagsfeier dort. Zum Glück hatten wir einen Platz im „Familienzimmer“. Das Restaurant war bis auf den letzten Platz belegt und es war recht laut und wenig gemütlich . In dem Bereich unsres Tisches kam erschwerend hinzu, dass dort kein Fenster war und alle das Gefühl hatten, einen kulinarischen Saunagang zu machen. Das Essen war lecker und der Service sehr bemüht. Alle waren jedoch hinterher froh, wieder an der frischen Luft zu sein.

Mein Besuch mit Freunden im "Da Vinci - Zum alten Kuhstall" lässt mich sprachlos zurück: Ein Service, der sich offenbar nicht als "Gastgeber" versteht, animiert sicher nicht zum wiederkommen. Das beginnt bei der Begrüßung, die erst der dritte an uns vorbeilaufende Kellner mißmutig vornahm und uns zum Tisch brachte und setzte sich leider den ganzen Abend hindurch fort. Die Laune sämtlicher Mitarbeiter vermittelte dem "Gast" ganz sicher keinen willkommenen Eindruck, teils hatte man sogar das Gefühl, man würde stören. Nachdem es fast dreißig Minuten gedauert hat, bis wir die Essensbestellung überhaupt aufgeben konnten und wir fast überlegt hatten, wieder zu gehen, was aber angesichts des Besuchs mit Freunden nicht so einfach war, dauerte es nochmals eine gute Stunde, bis das Essen kam - allerdings auch nicht bei allen gleichzeitig... . Während der Wartezeit saß man mehrfach auf dem Trockenen, da der völlig überforderte und lustlose Service einfach nicht zu bemerken schien, dass die Gläser leer waren. Da reißt es das Essen, das ordentlich war, auch nicht mehr raus. Wenn man sich nicht willkommen fühlt, ist schon vorher alles zu spät...
