I'm so excited! The food, service and especially the prices are UNBEATABLE! The portions are also more than enough! An absolute insider tip in Meerbusch!
This evening we were at the Landhaus Mönchenwerth for the second time.
For us it is now the epitome of a beautiful evening for special occasions. In addition to the sophistication of the dishes, we are always impressed by the knowledgeable, fast and strikingly friendly service. Regardless of whether it's about the wine or the components of the dishes, you can always get helpful information about what's on offer.
We are now fans of the team and the atmosphere at Mönchenwerth. We'll have our next event in July. And then we're back again. Thanks to the great team!
PS: A little tip for the kitchen. The tartare was extremely large for an appetizer. This reduces the ability to absorb one of the promising desserts. Also, I don't like giving good food back.
Best regards
Martin Budde
Unfortunately, things are no longer what they used to be. The food is still very tasty, but it repeats itself from week to week.
The opening times should be adhered to!!! If 10:30 a.m. then it shouldn't open at 10:40 a.m. You shouldn't have to wait for that anymore!!!
Instead of baguette there are now toasted little corners of toast!!!!!!
Everything is more expensive and then you save money.
Very unfortunate.
Closed. Is in the clubhouse.
No one available at that number.
Cycled 10km there to find the doors closed even though online and on the website it says it's open.
EDIT: I would like to respond to the owner's answer.
This is incorrect.
There was nothing about holidays on the website (can be proven with screenshots).
It was also possible to put together a bowl online, according to the opening times it was open. That's why we also contacted the phone number.
We went to the restaurant and looked around carefully because we didn't understand it because it said everywhere that it was open.
All the shutters were closed, and there was no (!!!) card in the box in front of the door that would even indicate the existence of the location or your company holidays.
Just around the corner behind the garbage cans were two boards with food written on them, from which we could see that we were in the right place.
There is no indication of company holidays there either.
The tennis club's information board, which is not far from the gate, also shows the normal opening times and no information about closing times.
I find it unprofessional to dismiss criticism like this, even though it doesn't correspond to the facts.
Extremely unfortunate.
Unfortunately, I expected more for the price...
I had a gypsy schnitzel with fries, the portion was relatively small, just a small schnitzel with a handful of fries. But I'd still say it's a bit underpriced for €16.90.
My friend had the asparagus with potatoes and cooked ham.
For €25, you expect a bit more than a few stalks of asparagus, two chopped potatoes, a drizzle of Thommy hollandaise sauce, and two slices of cooked ham from the supermarket shelf.
The service was very friendly and the ambiance was great, but unfortunately, the food wasn't.
We sailed on the Aida in 2015 and chatted over breakfast with a Greek family from Ludwigshafen. After we found out where everyone was from, they casually mentioned that they knew the owner of the Olympia, and of course, she recommended it.
So it was clear we should eat there.
What more could we say! Because since our first visit, we've been there at least five times a year, including with friends and family.
That's pretty telling, isn't it!
I eat a bifteki every time because it tastes simply amazing!
Sincerely,
