The gyro consisted of small, nasty pieces, so I wondered if they were leftovers. The meatballs were highly recommended. On the other hand, the currywurst wasn't cooked enough and the fries were too salty. I will definitely not choose El Greco as a restaurant again. I'm advising everyone on social media and anyone else I meet in the Recklinghausen area to stay away.
We ordered through Liferando. Unfortunately the noodles in the pasta were far too soft. Unfortunately, you could hardly taste the Gorgonzola, the pasta was literally drowned in cream.
Instead of prawns there was scampi.. After the complaint you were rejected very unfriendly on the phone, interrupted and only got unpleasant answers about what else you would like.. the quantity, a joke.. Paying 30 euros for 2 pastas and that Getting it is absolutely not worth it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and wouldn't order it again.
I really enjoyed it! The service was absolutely top-notch. We also enjoyed the food tremendously, and the ambiance was absolutely lovely.
A wonderful evening, we'll be back 🙂
We have often pre-ordered our chicken kebab there and picked it up afterwards. I have always received nice and friendly service. Food is very tasty. Recommended.
The pizza is big and delicious. Unfortunately, the prices actually quoted in the snack bar are significantly different from the prices on the homepage, which is not possible!
I went there because according to the homepage a Margherita was priced at €4.90, but in the snack bar itself it cost €7.00.
The cleanliness of the tables in the snack bar itself could also be significantly improved...
As I said, the size and taste save the pizzeria's rating.
We go to the anchorage regularly. Now I finally have to make our praise public.
The dishes have become much better in taste and, above all, visually over the last two years.
The lunch menu with 6 changing dishes offers a good selection.
Small starter soup, salad buffet, main course, dessert. And at a fair price 👍👍
Something negative: the owner and waitress are a bit “taciturn” and always seem a bit annoyed. Don't bother!! They don't mean it that way and the food makes up for it.
Please note: This review only refers to the lunch buffet; the dinner buffet with Mongolian grill is significantly better and highly recommended.
You should skip the lunch buffet, however. The food sat in the warming containers for ages and was cold. Some of the sauces on the vegetables had already curdled unappetizingly from standing for so long. The fries and other side dishes were not only ice cold but also very unappetizing to look at. The fried items were particularly bad; they tasted extremely doughy and seemed as if they had been cooked far too cold or not fried long enough, which is particularly questionable for squid rings. The service seemed both fussy and apathetic.
The only bright spot was the shrimp they served. While the taste wasn't outstanding, shrimp at that price is rare at a lunch buffet.
In summary, one can say that taste is subjective, but quality should be top-notch, and that was absolutely not the case here.
Please note the beginning of the review, however. The evening buffet is much better, and you can certainly indulge in it. However, you should probably skip lunch.
A rustic burger house, delicious and uncomplicated thanks to self service. Order and then collect yourself from the bar. I can recommend it without hesitation...
