We (7 people with a pre-order) arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 p.m., first ordered drinks and selected the food. Three people came after us and were allowed to place their food orders before us. When I pointed out that we would also like to order, we were put off: "yes, straight away," was the answer. The three people got their food quite quickly and left just as quickly. The end result was that we waited 2 hours for our food. Shortly before our food arrived we were informed that the kitchen was busy due to a group. We had already been sitting there for 1.5 hours. The baked Camembert took the longest. What an organization. The waitress came upstairs with only one meal, so completely unprofessional, and took the cutlery she needed downstairs for later. We couldn't understand that. For us that means “NEVER AGAIN”. This is not how you treat your guests.

Was a guest twice now, once at a family celebration and once with colleagues, both times the food was very good and the service was friendly and very accommodating, highly recommended 👍

Our new favorite Asian in Rudolstadt! Eaten and drank like kings for good money! Owner very loving and friendly. The food was delicious, authentic and very easy to digest.

A small pub on the ground floor of the building. You can easily sit at a table with several people and taste draft beer. There are also schnapps for those who prefer something stronger. A positive atmosphere radiates from the owners. Prices moderate.

It's great up in the castle café 👍🙂. Above all, the food was excellent!!! It was a worthy birthday. I've read through some of the reviews here and I can't understand the bad ones at all. 1. The castle café is really easy to find, especially since everything on the Heidecksburg is well signposted, but here too, anyone who can read has a clear advantage 😅. But you can also ask questions or every cell phone has a good navigation system these days😉. 2. The food (Soljanka, Watzburger black beer goulash with croquettes and game goulash with dumplings) was great!!! Both in terms of taste and how it was prepared. And everything you saw and tasted was 100% handmade. Big praise to the chef!!! It came quickly, was hot and, as I said, tasted very good. All in all, we were completely satisfied and would love to come back!!!
