Was there for a birthday celebration. The staff is very friendly, quick and always has a smile on their faces. Special requests were promptly fulfilled wherever possible. The food was great. The buffet was very, very well placed and there was something for every taste. The food wasn't overcooked and was hot. The room is nicely designed, the tables are well placed and somewhat decorated. I can only say everything was great👍👍🙌🙂🙂

We ate again today at the Nagelschmiede in Ilsenburg - and, as always, it was an absolute highlight! For me there is no better restaurant in the region. The food is unbeatably good: perfectly seasoned, prepared with great attention to detail and of the highest quality. The service is always friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A village restaurant, but super cozy and the staff are very nice.

First of all, I would like to say that the service here was really courteous and extremely friendly and professional. Unfortunately that was it. On December 26th We went there for dinner with the family. A first look at the map made the anticipation increase. A little surprised that we had to change locations due to space constraints, we then went to the festively decorated station hall. Well, no reason to complain, it was only a 10 minute slow walk. But when it was said about the buffet (of which there was no mention of it anywhere, neither on the internet nor directly at the restaurant) surprise quickly arose. When we got to the buffet table we had to guess which dishes we were talking about. It's sad that there was nothing for children except dry ready-made spaetzle. The dishes were cold from the start and some were inedible (the kale in particular was very bitter). The goulash or the watery dish with no taste and what felt like 2 pieces of meat made all hope disappear. When the bill came with a total of €35 per person, any Christmas feeling disappeared. Unfortunately never again.
