Lindenhof Cafe Restaurant in Ilsenburg (Harz)

Nachdem wir ca. 5 Minuten nach unserer Bestellung schon das Essen serviert bekommen haben, ahnte ich schon schlimmes. Und die Befürchtungen wurden bestätigt. Mein Försterschnitzel bestand aus einem frittierten Industriefleischstück, das wohl zusammen mit den Fritten gebrutzelt wurde, alles staubtrocken. Das war das Niveau einer Bahnhofs-Frittenbude, nur die Preise waren leider viel höher. Das ich für das Essen Sterne vergebe liegt am Essen meiner Frau. Sie sagte, ihre Pasta hätte gut geschmeckt. Nun denn, also 3 Sterne, aber nicht mehr. Der Service war in Ordnung.

Wir waren am Ostersamstag zum Mittag hier. Im Restaurant die einzigen Gäste und trotzdem kam Essen falsch oder gar doppelt. Zudem waren die Schnitzel definitiv nicht hausgemacht,wohl eher selbst aufgetaut. Der Burger triefte nur so vor Fett und war unten schwarz. Genau wie meine Spagetti. Auch der Service ließ zu Wünschen übrig. Beim Bezahlen wurde bevor die Rechnung kam, das Kartenlesegerät mit dem Betrag hin gelegt. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht.

Preis-Leistung nicht gut. Das Hirschgulasch war zart und lecker. Die bestellten Kartoffelrösti waren das, was man bei uns Kartoffelpuffer oder Reibekuchen nennt. Aufgetaut und in viel Fett frittiert... Keine richtigen Röstis. Der Salat war billiger Eisbergsalat. Das Schnitzel war so gleichmäßig geformt und dick, dass es niemals selbst gemacht war. Preise aber höher als bei uns in Frankfurt. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Waren als Weihnachtsgäste im Hotel untergebracht außerhalb des Hotels mit einem Fußmarsch von täglich 2x ca.10-15 Minuten und das unter winterlichen Bedingungen. Das Essen als Buffet war teilweise unterirdisch wie oben beschrieben teilweise nicht zu genießen. Auch die Mixgetränke waren wohl speziale Getränke des Hauses. Also alles in allem nicht sehr gelungen . Es gab auch keine Annimationen vom Hotel aus und das zur Weihnachtszeit sprich den Ort und Umgebung dem Besucher zu zeigen. Hotel und Restaurant sind nicht zu empfehlen ale Adventsspezial

Schlimm. Schweinebraten ohne Soße. Dazu Klöße in Scheiben angebraten. Ebenfalls furztrocken. Einfallsloser Salat schmeckt nach Nichts. Für den Fisch aber gibt's wenigstens nen zweiten Stern... Paar mit kleinen Kindern am Nachbartisch hat das Lokal verlassen. Wurde einfach nicht bedient. Das geht GAR nicht. Alles dauert eine Ewigkeit. Bedienung wirklich höflich und nett, aber vollkommen überfordert. Eine Art Chef schaut dem Ganzen nur zu. Greift nicht ein. Ist ja Sonntag. Ein unfassbarer Abend, aber dafür mit Galgenhumor...

We went there for dinner tonight after a long time. As I've read here before, and I don't know why people don't take it to heart: processed meat schnitzel is unacceptable!! Especially since the menu says it's homemade! The price is too high for that!

The restaurant appears very tidy and orderly. However, it lacks a bit of a cozy atmosphere. The service tries very hard to please everyone, with limited success. Drinks for 9 people took a bit long. This caused my Coke to go stale. It can happen, but it's not a big deal. The tortellini with spinach tasted okay, but the quantity was a joke for €18. A mini portion. The trout Müllerin, at €22, looked like a terrible accident on the plate. Not a whole trout as usual, but pieces of a side of the fillet. Somehow layered on top of each other, some of the skin missing. Decorated with parsley and dripping with fat. The highlight, however, was the water we ordered. 0.75 liters for €5. Served in a glass carafe with a screw cap from the "soda streamer." Kraneberger!! So, tap water. I've been served mineral water in a PET bottle from a discount store somewhere else, with a 50-cent deposit, for €7.50, and I thought that was pretty awful. But tap water for €5 for 0.75 liters is completely unacceptable. We're not talking about a chip shop here, but a hotel-style restaurant. Dear restaurant owners: Why don't you sit down at your table "incognito" and pretend to be a "hungry and thirsty tourist?" Order from your menu and enjoy what you get. Enjoy your meal. And don't forget to compare the amount you pay with the product you receive. Then go to your competitors and do the same. You'll be amazed at what you can get for less money. Yes, tourists might only come once, but word gets around... I certainly won't be coming back.

The fish was very good, but the schnitzel was very tough! What a shame!

The Lindenhof Café & Restaurant in Ilsenburg offers a cozy atmosphere with rustic charm and a beautiful view of the countryside. The food is freshly prepared, and the cakes are a particular highlight. Service is friendly, although it could be a bit faster during peak times. Prices are mid-range, making it a pleasant spot for coffee, cake, or a relaxed lunch.

For the prices they charge you would expect more. The schnitzel was fried and small by German standards. They were very hard on the edges. Staff is adequate but curt. Not recommended. The Bistro Harz, which is just around the corner, serves better food for half the price.

I can't recommend this restaurant. The food isn't particularly tasty, and the prices are quite high. When I pointed out that the food wasn't particularly tasty, the waiter simply said he would pass it on to the kitchen. There was no "sorry" or anything similar. For me, this is an absolute no-go in the restaurant industry. This place should be avoided.

We ate there yesterday. We had already looked at the menu on the restaurant's website. When we got there, our favorite dishes were unfortunately no longer on the menu. Which would have been fine, but then, as the owner, I update the menu on the website. The bruschetta was delicious. We were a bit disappointed with the main course. The hamburger schnitzel seemed like a pre-made schnitzel and was very salty. The spinach in the salmon with spinach was pre-made spinach. The prices for the dishes were quite steep, in my opinion.

The cafe is in the old town, only reachable on foot. The staff is very nice and funny 😊.

We had dinner in the restaurant, I had venison goulash and a cappuccino. Cappuccino and venison goulash were neither particularly special. The meat and red cabbage were overcooked and the red cabbage had no taste (finished product). My wife had salmon with spinach. The potatoes on it weren't even peeled. I don't think a professional chef cooks here, it's more like a housewife. The food wasn't nicely presented either. Once the experience is enough for us.

First of all, I would like to say that the service here was really courteous and extremely friendly and professional. Unfortunately that was it. On December 26th We went there for dinner with the family. A first look at the map made the anticipation increase. A little surprised that we had to change locations due to space constraints, we then went to the festively decorated station hall. Well, no reason to complain, it was only a 10 minute slow walk. But when it was said about the buffet (of which there was no mention of it anywhere, neither on the internet nor directly at the restaurant) surprise quickly arose. When we got to the buffet table we had to guess which dishes we were talking about. It's sad that there was nothing for children except dry ready-made spaetzle. The dishes were cold from the start and some were inedible (the kale in particular was very bitter). The goulash or the watery dish with no taste and what felt like 2 pieces of meat made all hope disappear. When the bill came with a total of €35 per person, any Christmas feeling disappeared. Unfortunately never again.

We wanted to go to the Lindenhof restaurant for lunch today, December 26, 2024. As soon as we arrived at the door, the cook asked us if it would be a problem to walk down to the train station. Apparently, there were too many reservations, and we were moved out. Well, a 10-minute walk to the other location, where we were warmly welcomed, which was unfortunately the best they had to offer. There was no mention of a buffet; you were supposed to be able to choose freely from the menu. Some of the food was inedible, cold, and tasteless; we've never had such bad ready-made meals, and there were no alternatives for children. The kale was bitter, the goulash contained 5 pieces of meat for 30 people, no description of the desserts, poorly presented, and the fruit was bad. One could say so much more negatively, but we were unfortunately very disappointed. And for €35 per person, what a disgrace! That was the first and last time we went there.

We were very satisfied overall. The food was amazing, and the service was good and prompt. The house itself is beautifully decorated and festively decorated. It was very beautiful. 100% recommended.

We even ate here twice. Menu small but sufficient. Food was good and prices were fair. Service was really good especially since only one person was serving. Friendly and a solution for everything. We liked it.

We were there in August 2024 for 4 days. The staff were really nice and nice. The food was okay. Also the breakfast. We will definitely come again and stay a little longer next time.

Unfortunately I have to give 0 stars for the food. I ordered a schnitzel with mushrooms, it tasted like frozen goods. In a three star hotel, the food should be freshly prepared. And it doesn't taste like frozen goods. In addition, the price of the food as frozen food was not justified. The price was too high. It's nice to have a drink there. But nothing more.

Lunch was very good and plentiful including a small salad on the plate. 😁Wonderful tapped Hefeweisbier. 🍺A little overpriced, see invoice.

Unfortunately the service was bad. The food came and we had to wait for the cutlery... and we started eating with our fingers. When paying, it was automatically assumed that we would pay together... Salt and pepper were also not brought to the table. But on request ketchup and mayonnaise. The food was delicious, but the prices were quite ambitious.

We were very satisfied and would like to come back at any time.

We were guests at the hotel for two nights and had dinner there on Saturday evening in a very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the dishes on the menu only had mushrooms as a side dish. The map didn't match the one on the website either. The pork steak with wild mushrooms in a very satisfying sauce with baked potatoes was very good. The schnitzel was only available with mushrooms, which I can't eat. My request for other vegetables could not be accommodated as there were none. So I had a schnitzel, croquettes and a dollop of raw vegetable salad on my plate. Unfortunately, this is more like canteen level - very disappointing at these prices. Another drawback: not a single dark beer. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. They can't do anything about the kitchen.

The ambience is nice. The food tasted very good, but the portions were very poor. We were also able to hear a loud conversation in a foreign language from the kitchen up close, as the kitchen door is right next to the guest area and was permanently open. We paid €50 for two dishes and a drink each. I would only recommend it to people who don't mind all that.

Also es ist nett zu sitzen. Da wir Menü im Preis hatten war es ok. Pressschnitzel geht halt gar nicht, dass war schade. Spaghetti Carbonara gut aber sehr fettig. Hähnchen war gut. Bei dem Caesarsalat zuviel Parmesan von der Packung. Da wären ein paar frische Späne besser gewesen , denn es war wenig Salat. Somit eine dicke Pampe an Sosse. Aussergewöhnlich gut die Vorspeise Feta in Speck mit Salat. Service war sehr bemüht trotz widrigen Umständen. Erst war die Küchenkraft ausgefallen. Dann hatten sie kein Kellerbier mehr. Dann hatte der Kellner den Wedpenstich an der Hand. Aber er war sehr freundlich.

Super nette Menschen, das Eis ist selbst hergestellt, der Laden ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Wirklich eine tolle Erfahrung so etwas noch zu sehen, danke!

Gutes Restaurant mit schönem Biergarten im Hinterhof. Leider nicht ganz zentral gelegen, sodass man ein wenig Fußweg auf sich nehmen muss. Das Essen und die Getränke waren gut, der Service hat leider nicht ganz so gestimmt, war aber durchgehend freundlich. Eine Bedienung war nur zum Bringen der Getränke zuständig und konnte, auch wegen der Sprachbarriere, keine Bestellungen aufnehmen. Zudem wurde im Biergarten nicht so oft geschaut, ob noch Getränke gewünscht werden und selbst dann musste man auf sich aufmerksam machen. Bei einem erneuten Besuch in Ilsenburg würden wir dem Lokal aber eine zweite Chance geben.

Wir waren schon mehrmals da Essen, alles sehr lecker. Sehr kreativ, sehr leckere Vorspeisen. Außen wird gerade renoviert. Innen sehr schönes Ambiente. Einen Biergarten gibt es auch.

Leider gar nicht zu empfehlen! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat überhaupt nicht gestimmt. Wir hatten die Waldpilzpfanne mit Knödeln, eine Tomatensuppe und Salat für 32€. Die Portionen waren viel zu klein, Essen zu salzig und die Knödeln sahen mehr aus wie altes Brot in Öl angebraten. Die Tomatensuppe war ein lieblos aus der Tüte angerührt und der Salat bestand aus 3 Gurken, Tomaten und 2 Tropfen Basalmico. Das wäre okay gewesen wenn die Preise nicht so hoch sind. Service war sehr unfreundlich

Die Stühle sind sehr bequem und das Lokal gemütlich eingerichtet, wenn auch ausschließlich mit Kunstblumen. Leider hatte das Essen Raststättenqualität ☹️ wirklich sehr schade, denn die Preise sind dafür viel zu hoch. Wir hatten eine Spargelcremesuppe als Vorspeise und als Hauptgang Schnitzel mit Waldpilzen und Pommes. Die Suppe hat geschmeckt, allerdings war nicht viel Spargel enthalten. Das Schnitzel und die Pilze waren definitiv TK Ware. Sehr salzige Schnitzel aus der Fritteuse und gummiartige Pilze, z. T. in großen Würfeln, wie man es eben aus der TK Tüte kennt. Die Pommes waren auch nicht gut, sie lagen wohl schon etwas auf dem Teller. Der Kellner war sehr nett, ohne ihn wäre meine Bewertung viel schlechter ausgefallen. Zum gemütlichen Bier trinken sicher eine gute Adresse, wer lecker essen gehen möchte sollte es vielleicht besser woanders tun.

Wir waren mit der Familie im Hotel. Es war alles sehr schön Nette Personal und gute Restaurant uns schöne moderne Sauna Wir empfehlen weiter.

Sehr lecker und zu cooles Personal

Superfreundliches Personal nur zu wenig vorhanden. Frisches Essen dazu längere Zeiten. Preise sind nicht günstig. Kleine Tasse Soljanka kostet mal eben um die 6 Euro. Dafür sehr lecker. Ambiente... hm... im hinteren Raum sehr eng. Trotzdem kann ich weiter empfehlen.

Kann ich leider nicht empfehlen. Auf dem ersten Eindruck sehr nettes Ambiente und wirklich nette Bedienung. Jedoch war das Essen nicht gut. Meine Frau und ich haben beide nicht aufgegessen. Obwohl wir Lebensmittelverschwendung so gut es geht vermeiden, hier jedoch unausweichlich. Schnitzel sehr fettig und zäh. Spiegelei war nicht angebraten. Kassler war hart und trocken. Selbst die Pommes waren zu wenig gewürzt, teils gar nicht.

Von aussen nicht so ansprechend, aber innen alles sehr schön anzusehen und auch der sanitärbereich tip top. Sehr schöne Karte mit guter Auswahl. Wir hatten Hirschgulasch und Forelle Müllerin beides hervorragend ! Aufmerksame Bedienung. Würden wiederkommen ! Frohe Weihnachten.

Über 1,5 h Wartezeit (mit 3 jährigen Kind bis 20:45) auf ein sehr enttäuschendes Essen. Die Wildsuppe war völlig versalzen und eher Bratensauce. Fleisch war nicht zu sehen Ein überbackenes Hänchen war völlig versalzen und mit einer dicken Schicht Käse überflossen, unter der sich eine Kochschinkenscheibe versteckte. Die Bratkartoffeln waren nicht gebraten sondern ölig. Die Fischstäbchen und Pommes waren noch am besten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber das Essen ist leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Das Altstadt-Hotel ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Essen gut und der Service ist sehr gut, freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Man kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Ich war zum ersten Mal da, war sehr schön und das Essen war sehr lecker.

Das Hamburger Schnitzel war frittiert und eher TK-Ware....die Bratkartoffeln waren okay...der Preis war für die gebotene Qualität zu hoch. Für eine Lindenhof (deutsche Küche) hätte ich beim Schnitzel Handarbeit erwartet. Das war eher ein gutes Kantinenessen. Leider. Das Bier war vom Fass und sehr gut. Dafür gibt's die Punkte.
