Visited for dinner every day of an eight-day stay!

Interesting menu and a very personal welcome. We were booked with two dogs, and both were greeted personally. A water bowl and a small bowl of treats were provided, which is truly rare. The ambiance is similar to a traditional German restaurant (Stube) and therefore a matter of individual taste. The fried potatoes were very tasty, but my venison meatballs didn't quite convince me. All in all, a very personal stay with home-style cooking :-)

Very tasty schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce

Beautifully located near the monastery, this lovely restaurant is truly worth a visit. The dishes are unusual, deliciously prepared, and reasonably priced. I recommend making a reservation, and checking the opening hours is helpful, of course, as they are limited. Highly recommended.

We were part of a special birthday celebration here. The ambiance is very cozy and quaint. The food was absolutely perfect and a solid 6/5. The service staff were very friendly and attentive at all times! We would be happy to come back anytime!

A long-planned celebration with a disappointing execution! We thought we'd keep the money in our own town, but we were disappointed! Unfortunately, we can't speak of a great atmosphere, let alone friendly service, except for the temporary staff, who were very nice and accommodating. The only thing that was as agreed and ordered was the buffet!

Always happy to come back!!! We both had the tender, pink-roasted beef fillet over sautéed potatoes and young vegetables, finished with a rich red wine jus.

The food is delicious. The meat is very tender, and the side dishes perfectly complement the main course. They still cook properly here. The service is always friendly and attentive. Even when the pace in the very cozy dining room noticeably increased, there was always a smile and a friendly word for each table. Even the dog at the next table received a small gift. Parking is limited directly in front of the restaurant, but the public parking lot at the monastery is less than a three-minute walk away. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

Everything was perfectly fine, and the price-performance ratio was perfect! Our dog even got his treats... We will happily recommend this restaurant!

A chance discovery a year ago, but we couldn't stop thinking about the delicious food, so we went back today. Nothing's changed: super tasty food at reasonable prices. Beautiful country inn with very friendly service and a great menu. We were there as hikers on Easter Sunday with 4 people and had wild brawn with fried potatoes, 2x asparagus with schnitzel and mushroom ragout with dumplings. Everything homemade and very tasty. We as tourists also really liked the atmosphere. Just typical, well-kept Harz style. We will definitely come back on our next hike. We've stopped by somewhere in the Harz several times after hiking. This was the best price/performance ratio so far.

What two beautiful and delicious evenings in the Gemeindekrug. I have never experienced such a warm welcome for the dog. We felt very comfortable and even our special requests were fulfilled. Dear Babette, you know how it works! We'll definitely be back!

A very nice restaurant in Drübeck run as a family business. Very good food from German cuisine that is made with a lot of love. The staff is very accommodating and very friendly. The restaurant is not only child-friendly but also dog-friendly. Once you have seen the monastery next door you can easily stay there.

We were just there with family and dog. Beautiful homely atmosphere, the food was very tasty and very fresh and looked great too! The dog was very welcome and was immediately given water and a treat. The service was competent and super friendly, we even had a nice conversation at the end, which I personally always find very pleasant. Price performance was definitely justified and we will definitely come back 🥰🤲🏼

Nice rustic pub, the staff are very friendly, the food is down-to-earth and tastes very good. We had goose breast and redfish.

Today we ate solyanka and goose leg with dumplings and red cabbage/Brussels sprouts. It was very difficult for us to choose, a menu with great dishes. A real treat 👍 very tasty and lovingly prepared. The service was great, very friendly, fast and communicative, which we really liked. We immediately felt at home. We'll be back very soon.

Quaint, rustic, delicious and a family with passion - always happy. The negative reviews are incomprehensible. The food here is really fresh, tasty and varied. As locals, we have not only been there once, but many times with different people and will be back. And yes, sometimes you try something and it's nothing like you know it, just seasoned differently or or or, but certain assumptions are cheeky because we also know the relevant suppliers. Gastronomy can be stressful sometimes, others also have stress at work and others get it... See you again and are already looking forward to the new menu;) Keep it up! By the way, special requests are fulfilled and the selection of beverage suppliers (liqueurs, etc.) is of very good quality and very fair in terms of price!

Seen here: The bottom of a pancake. After complaining to the staff, there was no apparent effort to improve, replace or reduce the price. "Oops. I'll let you know in the kitchen" had no noticeable consequences. We then ate around the coal. It was cleared away and ignored! You can only afford such service behavior if you are the only shop in town.

Worst meal we've eaten in a long time. The schnitzel was partly burnt and completely over-salted and the beef goulash consisted only of gristle, fat and waste and the dumplings tasted like absolutely nothing. Only the service was very, very nice and that has to be praised. Otherwise absolutely not recommended.

We had dinner on the beautiful terrace in the garden on Thursday evening. Everything was right. The food was delicious and the service was very good. The bad reviews are incomprehensible, you often just have to say to yourself "just as you call into the forest, that's how it sounds out". If the waitress is really stressed because she wants to get the food to the guest quickly and on time, you can be a little patient at the next table. We liked it VERY much.

Unfortunately we cannot give the food and chef at the Gemeindekrug a good rating. Maybe we had a bad day, like some of the other guests. Red cabbage from a jar, asparagus very soft, fish didn't smell good, etc. We know differently when cooked fresh and the prices are overpriced for this food. Staff overwhelmed, apparently not from the catering industry.

We were traveling by motorbike and discovered this village inn by chance. The boss was super nice and the food was delicious.

Unfortunately we can only mention the food and the young service positively. Otherwise, this visit will be remembered as our worst restaurant visit. An extremely snippy boss with an incredibly rude chef who didn't understand the principle of hospitality. Unfortunately, absolutely not recommended and a shame for the young, very friendly service. Short addition, based on your answer: we only put a small round table for 2 next to our oval (small) table for 6, because there was actually not enough space for 6 people and 4 (medium-sized) dogs. It should also be mentioned that we were the only guests. The dogs lay well and quietly under the tables throughout the entire stay. We each ordered 1 dish and had 2 drinks each. Even paid a tip. When we left, one of our dogs accidentally jumped onto the bed. Your behavior towards us was definitely not justified.

Beautiful garden, very tasty food, attentive boss (our dog was given a drinking bowl without asking). We will be back!

We were invited for our birthday. We can happily recommend it. The food was very tasty 😋

Had the leg of lamb with porcini mushroom risotto and charlotte jus as the main course and first of all the fish soup. The soup was a real hit, but I have rarely had such a buttery piece of meat! The risotto could have been a little creamier (not so thick), but the taste was amazing! Many thanks to the two owners: it was a very successful evening!

1A While many in the region rely on walk-in customers and locals no longer know where to go to eat, we found a new and super down-to-earth location here based on a recommendation! As a businessman with a lot of food in the “best restaurants (visually and on paper with poor quality etc…)” We'll definitely come back! Fresh, delicious, without any pre-grained junk!!! My brother-in-law - head chef at the 4* superior hotel - also has the same opinion! Best kale in the area, the sauce for the sauerbraten is divine. Mashed potatoes with pieces as it should be, just great outside of the bag! And the location is like a village restaurant with a great beer garden in summer! Guys it's worth it!!!

The garden is super beautiful with great flower beds. Even when it was raining you could stay there under the parasols. Freshly prepared mushroom pan and schnitzel au four were very tasty. The menu is regionally influenced, exactly as we had hoped, and according to the self-reported ingredients, the ingredients are largely from the region. The service is extremely friendly and you feel like you're being welcomed into the family. We weren't in the interior, it seemed a bit dark as we walked past.

Rustic ambience, just as you would imagine a traditional village jug 😀 Unfortunately it was a bit cold in the rooms (although we could have opened our mouths and prayed for the heating to be turned up a little more) The gnocchi were a little over-seasoned, so the ingredients “all tasted the same”. The roulade was good, but could have been more tender. The sauce and red cabbage were very tasty. All in all, highly recommended 😊

Wir waren dort zur Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen und waren 30 Minuten früher dort. Wir durften aber noch nicht in den Gastraum und wurden nach draußen in den Biergarten durchgeschleust. Auch die Geschenke durften wir nicht in der Gaststube ablegen. Etwas unfreundlich von den Gastleuten. Das Essen war gut, die junge Bedienung war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Essen ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!!

Spontan (15 min vorher) angerufen ob wir mit 2 großen Hunden vorbei kommen können. Uns wurde super freundlich ein Tisch im Garten hergerichtet, der etwas abseits der anderen Gäste war und an dem unsere Hunde total entspannt liegen konnten. Den beiden wurde sogar ein Appetizer-Leckerli Teller und Spielzeug gebracht. Der Service war super (schnelle Bedienung, zügig das bestellte Essen bekommen). Das Essen ist gut Deutsche Küche. Die Auswahl ist angenehm groß und auch für Vegetarier gibt es ein Gericht auf der Karte. Preise sind vollkommen normal.

Ein uriger Gasthof mitten im Ort Nähe Kloster ! Wir hatten eine Reservierung und wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und freundlich bedient ! Die Speisekarte hat für jeden etwas zu bieten und die Auswahl war vielversprechend ! Wir "4" hatten Matjes , Wildgulasch , Sülze und Pasta und waren total begeistert ! Die Gerichte waren appetitlich angerichtet , heiß und Super Lecker ! Auch der Nachtisch "Blaubeer Creme Brulee" köstlich ! Dieser Familien Gasthof verdient 5 Sterne und unseren Berliner Dank 👍

Super Wirtshaus zu, meiner Meinung nach viel zu günstigen Preisen. Es schmeckt ist sehr sauber und ordentlich nette Bedienung. Natürlich wäre noch Luft nach oben, aber hier ist Preis/Leistung vollkommen gerechtfertigt.

Nachdem viele Lokale Ruhetag hatten waren wir glücklich hier so nett begrüßt zu werden. Das Essen war super lecker und wir können diese Gaststätte nur empfehlen.

Wir waren bei unserem verlängerten Wanderwochenende im Harz hier Abendessen. Der Service war schnell und aufmerksam. Da ich Vegetarier bin, ist es erfahrungsgemäß so, dass die Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten auf Speisekarten eintönig und vor allem teuer ist. Nicht so hier im Gemeindekrug. Das Ofengemüse mit Mozzarella und Kartoffeln mit Kräuterquark hat sehr gut geschmeckt!

Vielen Dank für die angenehme Zeit in dem schönen u. ruhigen Garten mit tollem Essen und erfrischend Getränken und dies alles nett und mit einem Lächeln serviert. Wir kommen gern wieder. Versprochen 😉

Bein einem Besuch im Harz unbedingt zu empfehlen! Juni 2023 Nach der Wanderung an der lIse bei llsenburger haben wir bei TripAdvisor für dieses Lokal entschieden. Ruhig gelegen mit tollem Garten und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Hunde sind willkommen und es gibt auch Lekkerli für diese. Für uns Menschen war das Essen sehr lecker und ausreichend. Die Gastgeberin war herzlich und menschlich. Sehr sympathisch. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch im Harz erinnern wir uns gerne an diese Gaststätte

Wir waren auf Durchreise und haben auch einen Tag vorher reserviert. Tisch war nett mit Namen hergerichtet. Wir nahmen dann Platz und mussten knapp 10min warten bis uns jemand die Karten gebracht haben. Wir sahen ja das die Gaststätte gut besucht war. Daher hatten wir auch Verständnis für den "Fehlstart". ( Es standen aber zwei Kellnerin am Tresen 🤔) Später bestellten wir dann unsere Getränke und gleichzeitig das Essen. Ab jetzt hieß es warten. Knapp eine Stunde für drei Schnitzel , Wildgulasch und ein Kinderessen. Als dann das Essen serviert war, freuten wir uns hungrig. Jetzt leider die Enttäuschung. Bei einem Essen waren die Pommes total kalt, generell waren diese versalzen. Das Wildgulasch war kalt und mit zwei kleinen Klößen serviert. Die Bratkartoffeln stellenweise schwarz.🥴 Generell muss man feststellen,dass das Essen recht lieblos angerichtet war. Da geht definitiv mehr. Schmackhaft war das Essen jedoch. Preis-Leistung wenn alles okay gewesen wäre , ist angemessen. Ein Kloß mehr wäre trotzdem schön 😉. Zwischendurch wurden wir auch gefragt ob wir noch etwas wünschen. Die Mitteilung bei Bezahlung,dass das Essen OK war nahm die Bedienung eher mit einem Ohr auf. Im großen und ganzen ist noch Luft nach oben. PS: Die Toiletten waren sauber. Jedoch könnten diese eine Renovierung gebrauchen.

Spontan dort am Ostersonntag angerufen und gerade noch ein Plätzchen bekommen. Ein sehr freundliches Personal, gemütlicher Gasthof und auch solche Atmosphäre. Essen, wie bei „Mutti“, sehr lecker! Was heutzutage wirklich selten ist, die Aussage :“Es kann ein wenig dauern, weil frisch zubereitet“ und genau so war es. Einfach sehr sehr lecker!

Schönes kleines, rustikales Gasthaus, freundliches Personal, super lecker Essen, Preis Leistung absolut top, kleine überschaubare Menükarte, aber für jeden Geschmack was dabei, saubere Toiletten, absolutes Wohlfühlambiente. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Gemütliches Ambiente und leckere Kuchen-und Kaffeespezialitäten.

Trotz Urlaub der Betreiber wurde an diesem Tag geöffnet und wir konnten einen schönen Valentinsabend bei einem 4Gängemenü im Gemeindekrug verbringen. Sehr liebevoll alles dekoriert und man fühlte sich wohl das Menü war nicht nur eine Augenweide, auch ein Gaumenschmaus. Lieben Dank an das Team Henk von Peter Subklew und Partnerin aus Drübeck.

Der Service war sehr freundlich, schon fast familiär, und aufmerksam. Das Essen war wie bei Mama zuhause. Die Schnitzel waren richtig vernünftig in der Pfanne gebraten und nicht fettig frittiert. Der Gurkensalat und die Soljanka waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Für einen Nachtisch hat es leider nicht mehr gereicht :) Das Ambiete ist wie in einem alten Gasthaus, typisch urig. Mir ist viel wichtiger, dass es sauber ist. Das war es!

Super leckeres Essen, nette Bedienung und schnelle Lieferung....es hat uns sehr gut gefallen ...Preise waren dem Essen angemessen und das Essen wurde frisch zubereitet ....Schnitzel frisch "geklopft"und war total lecker....Gurkensalat wie bei Oma und die Vorsuppe auch....hätte am liebsten nach dem Rezept der Pilzsosse gefragt...wir kommen auf jedem Fall wieder🤗👍
