Sorry, but unfortunately only 3 stars because of the quality of the food. Wasn't really good. I thought the ambience, the service was great. Of course it's not primarily a restaurant, but there's still a lot of room for improvement since you're not paying very much either. I think it's great that you're doing this. Local beer is also offered. Top. And as I said, super friendly service. I would still come back.

A very nice fisherman's or sailor's restaurant (restaurant) right on the Rhine with a wonderful view in the small village of Grieth. The village itself invites you to take a walk. Through old streets and along old walls, you immediately feel like you have been transported back to the past After a long walk and with a growling stomach and a dry throat, you come across the Deichgräf along the banks of the Rhine. A rustic restaurant invites you to have a cozy and delicious lunch a cold beer with a view of the Rhine and the shipping. The menu has something for small and large appetites, from delicious pancakes to fish soup to fish dishes of all kinds and desserts. I have always eaten and drunk well and tasty, the staff is young, friendly and attentive. You can sit inside, but in summer it's even nicer to sit outside. If you have to go to the toilet, you walk through the restaurant down a flight of stairs like you're in a small maritime museum. The toilets are clean and sufficient. Not suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties, as the stairs are a bit steep. So it's better to go to the toilet first at home. At the Deichgräf there are also regular evenings with several course menus at an acceptable price and you can also celebrate there very nicely and deliciously with a buffet of all sorts. A really recommendable restaurant in a really recommendable beautiful village located directly on the beautiful Rhine... worth a trip. Have fun ! 😁

Food was tasty, pizza a touch too salty but OK. Prices okay. The burger was also delicious says my son. Plenty of portions, sometimes almost too much for “normal eaters”. Nice service, no problems with supposedly poor German. You should know your spelling if you're going to criticize others about their language.

The restaurant no longer offers regular al a carte service. However, it is still open for buffet dates or as a delivery service for celebrations at home. The food is always very tasty and top! Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit old. I don't think the buffet area is that nice, it's dark and not very well ventilated. With the warm food, this room is then very warm. Sometimes you had to wait longer at buffet appointments until the food - for example dessert - was added.

Waited almost 1 hour 30 minutes, food was almost cold. Very disappointed with the “Hawaii Schnitzel”, I don't even know if you can call it that, it was more breadcrumbs, like schnitzel. Instead of the usual two round slices of pineapple, there were small pieces of pineapple that were also far dry. There was no hollandaise sauce on it at all and mozzarella was used as cheese. Fries were cold and just not tasty. Very disappointed. Simply inedible. Order there? Again? No thanks!
