Anyone visiting Rees should definitely visit the Rhein Café.

As always, delicious coffee and cake. Highly recommended.

The building looks very old and run-down, the waitress seemed annoyed... and unfortunately, we didn't like either the cakes or the tarts at all. They were very creamy and lacked flavor... the only nice thing is the view of the Rhine when you sit outside.

Great view from the terrace over the Rhine. Many ships with unusual cargo can be seen. Delicious pastries. Only the fish burger isn't a burger at all, but simply a plate of fried fish, fried potatoes, and salad. Friendly and pleasant service 😉

We stayed in Rees for two nights with a small group and stayed right next door. We were guests here in the evening and have only positive things to say. The food arrived promptly, was plentiful, and very tasty. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The value for money was reasonable, and the restaurant was clean and inviting.

Friendly, highly qualified staff will guide you to your chosen seat – in good weather, to the terrace with a panoramic view of the Rhine, whose boat traffic can be admired throughout the day. The food deserves the highest accolades. The staff is well-trained and very friendly. All in all, I can look back on a very successful afternoon/evening.

I always enjoyed going there. Yesterday we decided not to visit the restaurant and café again. The main reason is the sometimes exorbitant prices. While in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg I sometimes pay less than €4 for a 0.5-liter non-alcoholic wheat beer, at most €4.50, and usually between €3.80 and €4.20, there it should be €6.20!!!! That's enough. A bottle of this brand demonstrably costs less than €1. I can't justify such a high markup, not even the view of the Rhine. So we went to another nearby café in downtown Rees with reasonable prices and will not be visiting this restaurant again. The prices for the food were also "very ambitious," to put it mildly. For me, such beer prices are extortionate, especially since I have to pay significantly less for the same product almost everywhere in the south of Germany, as I recently discovered in June in popular tourist destinations like Fraueninsel/Chiemsee, Kitzingen, Aschaffenburg, and Dinkelsbühl. It had to be made clear. I'd rather brew my own beer in the future and get my beer from the liquor store.

I would recommend this restaurant if it weren't for the blonde waitress. How anyone could employ such an incompetent and rude person to serve is a complete mystery to me. She was not only distracted but also extremely unprofessional. Even the guests at neighboring tables were complaining about her. So we decided not to order food and moved on to the next restaurant.

Fantastic view of the (lower) Rhine from the terrace. Great service, really friendly waitresses. The food was world-class, with generous portions and delicious cold beer. We'd be happy to come back.

If a "restaurant" refuses to serve a child fries with sausage instead of fried potatoes (the argument was: "Only as it says on the menu"), I'd gladly give it zero stars. I've never seen anything like it! Someone must have missed their calling... Your answer is a disgrace. Just ask your blonde waitress how rudely she yelled at us: no changes! By the way, we wanted the bratwurst – not a children's plate! It's about you refusing to make a simple side change (fried potatoes and fries). That's the problem! I can draw a picture if you still don't understand. So it remains the case that putting fries instead of fried potatoes on a plate is an impossible task for you, right? -> Then you also have the answer as to why one star is still too many 😉

I went to the Rheincafé Rösen in Ress with my family today – and unfortunately, our visit didn't leave a lasting positive impression. Positives: The location directly on the Rhine is truly beautiful and invites you to linger. The view of the water is a clear strength of the café. Negatives: The service was generally quite inattentive: long waits, hardly any requests for new drinks, and a lack of motivation. The prices are too high for this quality; unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right at all. Overall, rather disappointing. Especially on a sunny day with a view of the Rhine, I would have preferred more hospitality and better quality food. Maybe it was just a bad day – but that doesn't make it a recommendation for me.

Nice café in Rees! Located right between the market square and the Rhine promenade, this café offers plenty of indoor seating and a lovely outdoor terrace with a direct view of the Rhine. It serves a variety of dishes and a very extensive and delicious selection of cakes. The service is very friendly and attentive. A lovely place for a short break!

Very nice location right on the Rhine. Nice outside terrace, old-fashioned inside. Service very friendly. The amount of food was manageable and the salad was absolutely not to our taste because it was only dressed with ready-made mayo. Meat and side dishes okay. Price/performance ratio is not good and cannot be compared with the location, we have often eaten much better and cheaper there. Cake counter looked appetizing and delicious.

Well...the view alone can hardly save it...! Reserved a table - it worked. With six people each a small pot of coffee for 5.70 euros each, totally lukewarm. Cakes 4.40 euros each, cream 1.20 euros each. Uncomfortable because it was very full and the staff was completely overwhelmed and tried hard, but was annoyed. Hardly any choice at 2.30pm on Sunday. A cold drink, not even for everyone, and boom, 85.60 euros. Conclusion: Never again!!! Too bad! Update: Well, everyone can think of their own part about the owner's answer...ever heard of data protection...very, very bad style, Mr. Rösen!!! And I'm sticking with it...never again:(!!!

Super delicious dishes with a great view of the Rhine.

The location is great, right on the Rhine. You can sit well inside and outside with an unbeatable view. The price is a bit more expensive. Service is authentically friendly. Coffee is good. The cake is very good and can only be recommended! Overall, we enjoyed the main courses. The side salad and the mushroom cream sauce could have been more seasoned for my taste. The fried potatoes were a little too soft for me. The children's meal was also "cooked properly" and looked good (this is often no longer the case with children's meals). The 8 year old was satisfied. We'll definitely come back.

Very nicely located. Directly on the Rhine. An outdoor terrace with a view of the Rhine invites you to linger. Very good selection of fresh cakes and tarts, which are made daily in our own pastry shop. There is also a lunch menu. A house and a master confectioner with a long tradition.

Right on the promenade, the prices are pretty steep, whether it's beer 🍺 or food. The café is really busy, but I think it's overpriced 🤷‍♀️ You're just paying for the view of the Rhine. But the staff was extremely friendly and always tried to make sure our glasses were filled.🥰

Rheincafe Roesen, located directly on the Rhine in Rees, the café not only offers a beautiful view, but also a large selection of cakes and dishes, all of which are very tasty. The staff is nice, friendly and attentive. If you would like to sit on the terrace, you should come during the week as it can be very busy on weekends.

Good food, service is a bit surly but otherwise good service.

Unfortunately we cannot rate the food/drinks here as no order was placed. However, we didn't find the service good at all. Only when we asked did we get a menu (we wanted to order food and drinks), then we only received a DIN A4 piece of paper on a clipboard with different dishes on it than in the display case in front of the café (which is why we went in) and the drinks were completely missing. When we asked for a drinks menu we were told that there wasn't one and that you could order the usual drinks. The fact that as a guest you would also like to see the prices does not seem to be an option here. We then left again without ordering and found what we were looking for in another café. It's a shame, the view of the Rhine was really nice.

As of: June 2024. Outdated café. The cakes were all run of the mill, no love in making them, dry and boring. Service inattentive and no sense of presentation. The coffee tasted as if it had been kept warm for hours. A pity.

I hope I am not making a confusion but it is also a restaurant, the first room has cakes and after you enter directly in the restaurat and the terrace. Wonderful place, extremely good food and very attentive staff. The specific is German food, although they had Nudeln "Black Tiger" which are with garnelen and were extraordinary. I will not say anything about the view and let the picture to speak

Food very good and plentiful, staff super friendly and attentive. There were a few restrictions due to a construction site in the house but not worth mentioning. We'll definitely come back.

The cake selection is incredible and very high quality. Really great! The ambience is definitely getting old, but everything is very tidy and the terrace directly on the Rhine is of course a highlight. The service was very nice and attentive. Gladly again for coffee and cake!

The food and the homemade cakes are really delicious, unfortunately 1 point deducted because the breakfast buffet is rarely offered, which is also so tasty and varied, it's a shame, but the lack of staff doesn't stop at Rösen either. A visit is worth it 😊👍

The terrace offers a beautiful view of the Rhine. The service wasn't particularly friendly. When asked whether there were sandwiches in the morning, the answer was "No, just the full breakfast", the price and scope of which was not clear from the menu on display. Instead, it read “Coffee and cocoa only in pots on the terrace,” which doesn’t necessarily indicate great customer friendliness.

Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommendes Personal. Essen war sehr gut. Tolle Lage direkt am Rhein.

Nun....alles erwas altmodisch trotz Renovierung. Bilder an der Wand sollten doch zb. Eigenaufnahmen s/w vom Rhein etc sein was zum Standort passt. Auch im Restaurant ein wildes Durcheinander. Manche Tische mit Tischdecke und Blumen ( frisch) . Manche komplett ohne alles. Das sollte einhaltlich sein. Auch das es aussieht wie ein unaufgeraeumter Lagerraum ist nicht die Lösung. Die Karte sollte begrenzt werden mit modernen Tagesgerichten mit entsprechender Anrichte mit modernen Porzellan. Auch fehlt Hintergrundmusik. Das Personal ist bemüht und zum Teil freundlich. Da ist mit wenig Aufwand mehr möglich. Ich denke mit einigen einfachen Maßnahmen ist hier vieles möglich aufgrund der Spitzenlage. Die Küche ist zum Teil altbacken mit TK Ware und ueberkochten altmodischen Gemüse wie zb Blumenkohl, Brokkoli und Möhren. Da gibt es viel bessere Alternativen wie Zucchini , Auberginen, rote Beete, grüner Spargel etc. Die offenen Weine sind unter Standard und sollten nach oben angepasst werden. Lieber ein 0.15 Liter Glas von einem guten kleinen Winzer als günstig und belanglos. Mit einem gewissen Engagement ist hier viel mehr möglich. Ich werde mir das nochmals anschauen aber erwarte mehr Leidenschaft für den Beruf

Eine süße kleines Dorf. Direkt am Vater Rhein. Idyllische Atmosphäre. Man kann hier gut verweilen

Einrichtung aus den 70ern was ja keinesfalls ein Problem ist. Die Bedienung war aber auch aus dieser Zeit - korrekt, flink und sachlich - aber mit eingefrorenem Gesicht. Die Speisekarte war wohl seit dieser Zeit nicht mehr überholt wurden und die Qualität des Essens passt ehr in die Endvierziger. Nudeln aus dem Aldi, Soße aus dem Tetrapack, Pilze fast roh. Kuchen zum Nachtisch - eine geschmackslose, überzuckerte Pampe. Vegetarier können sich gleich ein anderes Haus suchen. Aber der Rheinblick ist toll, man kann Schubschiffe zählen - ein Sternchen, das andere für die Bedienung.

Flammkuchen frisch gemacht, sehr lecker. Schöne Aussicht auf den Rhein. Drinnen ist die Einrichtung zusammengewürfelt. Nette freundliche Bedienung.

Die Aussicht auf den Rhein ist sehr schön. Die Qualität des Frühstücks war mal besser. Auch etwas lieblos.

Waren leider am späten Nachmittag vor Ort und das Küchenangebot nicht mehr so gut.Durchaus verständlich.

Ist alles super gewesen. Und die Kuchen waren sehr lecker. Nur das der Treppenaufgang von draußen zu gesperrt war hat gestört. Man muss von der Straßenseite ins Café. Und super Ausblick auf den Rhein.

Hundebesitzer werden äu§erst unfreundlich behandelt, obwohl kein Schild vorhanden war, dassHunde nicht erlaubt sind. Eine Sahnebestellung wurde nicht angenommen, da wir ja damit den Hund hätten füttern können. Auf solche Gastronomie können Hundebesitzer verzichten.

Das Rhein Café Rösen lag auf unsere Radtour rund um Emmerich am Rhein wir haben dort eine Kleinigkeit gegessen. Wir wurden freundlich bedient es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Eine tolle Auswahl an Kuchen sorgt für gute Laune. 😎🇩🇪

Toller Ort zum Entspannen und einen herrlichen Blick über den Rhein. 1 Cappuccino und ein Radler 6.80 euro Ich bin allerdings der Meinung, ich hätte Alkoholfrei bestellt, anschließend habe ich trotzdem etwas gemerkt. Also extra nochmal drauf hinweisen. Nachmittags kommt schön die Sonne rum. Zum Essen kann ich nichts sagen, die Currywurst Pommes beim Nachbarn sah aber top aus. Die Fahrradfähre ist um die Ecke.

Wow, ist das eine schöne Aussicht. Und dazu leckeren Kuchen, frischen Kaffee...was will man mehr :-) Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wäre die Sonne nicht so heiß gewesen, hätte man es dort lange aushalten können. Wir kommen ganz sicher noch einmal wieder. Sehr schönes Café.
