We were there at 7:20 a.m. and were not allowed in because “hotel guests only”. On Google it says open from 7am. Very bad.

Leider hatte der Imbiss zu. Aber der Platz am See lädt zum Picknick und Sonne genießen ein in.

Despite the storm Hans, we still sailed. Commerce comes before safety. What was supposed to be a pleasant pleasure trip became a balancing drama. Many guests became seasick. We arrived 11/2 hours later due to bad weather. This means less time to make your planned visit to Kristiansand. Be sure to leave your cabin on time because the cleaning must be done on time. The return journey went smoothly. But then you arrive in Emden. Everyone gets out of your cabin on time. Wait 2 hours before you can disembark. All facilities were closed. Top service. Then everyone goes via a staircase to deck 3 to leave the ship via the car in and out. Fortunately, no panic broke out. If this had happened, the misery would have been incalculable. Certainly not a beauty prize. What chaos. Very dangerous. Also inform the authorities about this. Not recommended. Too expensive for the misery you get. The service was very friendly and helpful.

The service was very nice, the furnishings were old-fashioned, dark, uncomfortable, the salt and pepper shakers were sticky. After the visit, our clothes smelled so much of old chip fat that we couldn't go anywhere else... The taste was okay, but for €18.50 2 small schnitzels and not even a handful of fries is crazy. Unfortunately disappointing.

Since only two restaurants were open today, we stopped here. Normal German cuisine was to be expected. Now there was no value for money with this meal. The only thing that tasted good was the beer. The food, venison ragou with red cabbage and kale with Krakauer. The Kraków were sausages with cheese. The food was like cafeteria food. Vegetables in a glass - this is how the kale and red cabbage tasted. Since the food came after about 10 minutes, it was definitely not freshly prepared. If you eat pizza there, you won't be so disappointed.

The Thomas Janssen Veenhuser Hof inn is very conveniently located on the country road. The guest rooms are very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is OK. Many celebrate their anniversaries, birthdays or other celebrations in the rooms. You will receive very good advice when choosing for the buffet. You will receive very good advice from those present in the house. The price-performance ratio is ok. The owners of the house are very friendly, competent and approachable. It's always worth staying there again.

It's nice when you're standing in front of the restaurant at 6 p.m. and it's not open. No clues whatsoever. The display case says “Open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
