We had dinner at Wendl's this evening – we were absolutely thrilled. A wonderful, cozy atmosphere, incredibly good service, and very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious (truffle spaghettini, wild garlic risotto, blackcurrant mousse with salted caramel ice cream). I particularly like the fact that they offer several vegetarian dishes to choose from! We will definitely be back!

It's okay, you can try it, but the prices are very high for what's on offer. Some dishes took some getting used to.

We were allowed to visit the Geyerei on New Year's Eve and got the New Year's Eve menu. (Smoked duck breast on lamb's lettuce with pea cream / wild cabbage broth with pistachio meatballs / saddle of venison with port wine jus, sweet potato mash and glazed vegetables / walnut ice cream with marzipan cheese, glazed figs and white chocolate - for 59€) Perfect, the food is worth every cent, even if the portions could be a bit larger for my taste. If we are in the area again, we will pay the Geyerei another visit

The restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and enough space for several guests. It's not decorated in an extremely adventurous way, but you can still tell where you're eating. It was our first time eating Indian food. That's why I asked for a recommendation. This was addressed very well. They didn't just suggest anything, but really paid attention to my preferences. The seasoning was particularly important. Since I haven't eaten anything spicy for a long time, the seasoning of my dish was even adjusted accordingly. The food came to the table very quickly. There was only one other table of 6 people present besides us, but shortly after they got their food, we already had ours on the table. Before that there was a small appetizer. Thanks to the starter we didn't have to wait 10 minutes for our food. And the food was really great. I am also very grateful that the sharpness was explicitly discussed. Initially mild, it became increasingly spicier. But kept within pleasant limits. In the end I was really glad that I didn't get the dish as it was on the menu 😅 A slow increase would probably be appropriate. Which suggests that we would like to eat there more often. The prices were absolutely fine. Finally, I would like to highlight the service. People often looked at us (away from the counter) to see if everything was OK. But that's not enough. We were also asked at the table whether everything was okay and/or whether we wanted anything else. Even after ordering and before eating. You just felt comfortable. At the end we talked about how we found it. And then how we like it here in Freyung (we just moved here). All in all, absolutely recommended. We are already looking forward to the next visit. Then hopefully with photos too. Forget to take a photo of the food every time. So one star for me in my rating and “influencer” skills 😂

A great restaurant where you can enjoy very good home-style cuisine at a very fair price. The atmosphere is very friendly, familiar. Absolutely recommended for us.

A beautiful inn, well made, a successful combination of the old elements such as the leaded glass from the previous building and the newly renovated interior with various small rooms. Plus the good Freyunger beer. An inn like a place like this needs. Also suitable for a quick snack.
