The 3-course lunch menu had its ups and downs. The starter (mosaic of graved salmon) was very good. Unfortunately, the main course wasn't a hit. When I think of slow-braised young bull meat, I don't imagine it to be a relatively solid piece of meat that can only be cut with a knife. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't ask why half was left.

4.60 euros – that's the motto here. Elderflower spritzer, cappuccino, or any other beverage – 4.60 euros! Since 2024, the beautiful Brunnsteinhütte has had a new tenant, and with it, new prices. Keeping hut hikes affordable for everyone is unfortunately no longer the motto here. When a simple drink like elderflower spritzer or ski water – that is, syrup and tap water – already costs 4.60, it's better to bring your own (of course, please don't drink it in the hut!). Thanks to the cable car and the nearby Mittenwald, delivery conditions aren't exactly difficult. Yes, maintaining a hut costs money, even after a year of higher inflation. But pricing should also be done with a sense of proportion, and that unfortunately didn't happen here. The snack board – at €18, not exactly a bargain for those on a tight budget – is just about acceptable if you share: 4 slices of bread + the toppings are enough for two slightly hungry hikers, but if breakfast was more than two hours ago, the cake (it was quite tasty for a hut) is a must – for €4.60, of course… Dear hut team, please reconsider your pricing, then everyone benefits! The huts are there for everyone – that's the DAV's concept, it's in every Panorama magazine! >> Addendum from October 12, 2024: Dear Brunnsteinhütte team, you commented on my post with "The prices are the same at all AV huts in the area" – that's clearly not the case. The AV hut closest to you is already significantly (!) cheaper. For example, Skiwasser: you're €4.60 – the neighboring hut is €3.50. Unfortunately, that won't pass the fact check...

Burgers were good and the fries were tasty. Employees were very, very friendly. Great service. Furnishings are nice and cozy

Vorweg. Wir sind jetzt das sechste Mal über die Jahre dort gewesen und haben noch nie schlecht bewertet, da wir wissen wie schwer das Business in diesen Zeiten ist. Aber die Zeiten sind für uns alle schwer und essen gehen ist keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr .Das Essen war absolut okay und da gibt es keine Kritik. Aber aufgrund der eigenartigen Stimmung, die dort ständig herrscht, fühlt man sich als Gast schlicht nicht wohl. Man hat immer das Gefühl, lästig zu sein und zu stören. Weder ein freundliches Hallo und schon gar keine Verabschiedung, eine ständig gehetzt und genervt wirkende Chefin, dass ist irgendwie komisch und schade. Gäste die nach einem Tisch fragen, werden teils mitten im Laden behandelt wie Schulkinder und wieder schroff heim geschickt. Ich weiss nicht und hoffe, dass wird wieder besser. Ich wünsche es dem Lokal..

We have been here having dinner and it has been absolutely nice! I really recommend it! Very nice Turkish food with very kind people! We have ate lamb and aubergine at Turkish style and they were lovely. I recommend it!

Often eat there, home-style cooking and normal prices!

Trotz gutem Essen und netter Bedienung in sehr kleinem Restaurant mit wenigen Parkplätzen, ist es negativ anzumerken, dass unsere Kleidung schnellstmöglich die Nutzung der Waschmaschine für nötig machte, aufgrund der sehr starken Gerüche im Restaurant. Hier bedarf es ehrlich einer Abluftanlage und einem Luftaustauschsystem. essen ansinsten gut, insbesondere Ente und die Erdnuss Soße. Nachspeisen leider sehr wenig vorhanden, hier wünscht man sich mehr Auswahl am Buffet. Die fischfilets waren gut, die calamari Ringe leider matschig von Teig. Zudem leider oft die kleinen warmhaltebehälter leer, wenn das Lokal voll ist. Bedienung stößt an ihre Grenzen, wenn die 15 Tische belegt sind. Toiletten sauber. Jedoch nicht behindertengerecht, da Toiletten über eine Treppe in den Keller führen.

Very tasty dishes and a nice atmosphere. You feel like you are at home with friends. Will go there again.
