The people are friendly and, in their own way, have a traditional Franconian feel. You feel welcome. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed with the food. The schnitzel was, to our taste, underseasoned and too dry. The cheese spaetzle definitely needed more flair. Unfortunately, the value for money isn't quite right. Overall, the food seemed outdated. It was a bit of a shame.

Cozy, warm and really tasty – a real insider tip! We visited the restaurant Zur Kunstmühle at the idyllic campsite in Zirndorf – and we were thrilled! The rustic ambience right next to nature creates a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere, perfect for a break with good food. The restaurant really impressed us from a culinary point of view: the side salad was fresh, crunchy and beautifully presented. The carp and carp fillets were excellent – ​​golden brown and crispy on the outside, wonderfully tender and tasty on the inside. You can immediately tell that the food here is cooked with love and quality. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience with fair value for money. If you're in Zirndorf, you should definitely visit Zur Kunstmühle - we'll definitely be back!

We have eaten here several times and are always happy to receive such friendly and friendly service. There's never been anything to complain about about the food. The portions are a decent size and it always tastes delicious. You can tell from the staff that they enjoy their job. Always in a good mood and there are no complaints even when special requests are made. We'll definitely be in the beer garden more often in the summer ;-)

I was only here for a week on business and the Kunstmühle had already really appealed to me during a walk... Unfortunately it was a quiet day... So I came back on Thursday. My first intuition didn't disappoint me, great ambience, very friendly staff, and above all great food, I had the cordon bleu with potato salad... Really recommended... If I ever find myself in the area again for work, I'll be back in a heartbeat

The carp was incredibly delicious and had a crispy crust. Everything was in the best German tradition. We were served by a cheerful guy. Everything was fine.

We are from Kansas, United States, but we live in Kuwait. We are vacationing all around Europe for the month. We are staying nearby at an airbnb and did not want to cook tonight. This restaurant was nearby, so we decided to give it a try. Man, oh man, is this hidden gem AMAZING. The pork was tender and juicy. The broth was very delicious. The staff were very kind and accommodating. If you are visiting this area of Germany, we definitely recommend this restaurant for an amazing meal! We've been in Germany 20 days and this is in our top 3 of places we've eaten at!

To be enjoyed with caution! We were here for the first time. What was surprising was that there was hardly any choice and some dishes had to be pre-ordered, but they were good. We didn't get a menu or drinks menu. There was only a board with a few dishes on it. When we sat down we were immediately asked for drinks. Good in itself, but perhaps they could have brought us a map first. When we received the bill at the end, the second surprise came. A lot of little things were added so that the final bill was much higher than expected. Sauerkraut for roasting, a small salad, etc. were added on. Not a problem in itself if it was listed somewhere as an extra or if you were told that it costs something. There were no other side dishes or starters on the table from which one could have deduced something. Very unfortunate... I've never had anything like this happen to me in a restaurant. Not getting a menu and pulling a scam like that. Sry... something like that tends to scare away guests... Unfortunately, that was my first and last visit. NEVER AGAIN.

We went here a few times for dinner with friends and had a great evening. The food was just great, the price wasn't exorbitant and the portions were plentiful. Whether carp with salad, Schäuferle with dumpling and sauerkraut, roast pork and Wiener schnitzel were excellent. We'd love to come back. However, a table must be reserved, otherwise you won't get a seat. Warm food from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The dessert with Kaiserschmarren and apple cake was also very tasty. The pub is also open during the winter months. Enjoy the good food, you will be thrilled just like I was. I wish you a bon appetite.

We ate here after visiting the Playmobil Funpark. Ordering only inside, people are reprimanded everywhere because of the table number, the waitress who brings the food and the decorations that no one is allowed to touch. Schäufele is only available by pre-order, well, then order something else. Unfortunately the kids weren't fed up. The large salad was a disgrace for 12.90 euros (see photo). Overall, the food was just bland. We were totally disappointed.

The food in the restaurant is very good. The food is very fresh and served hot. The beer garden is self-service. Unfortunately I have to point out something. The beer garden is not very well maintained. The parasols and the tent are very dirty, as is the pavement. The beer garden tables should be cleaned after each guest. Otherwise everything is good. I can recommend the restaurant because of the good food and the good drinks.

The Zur Kunstmühle Zirndorf restaurant is a tip for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Franconian cuisine in a beautiful ambience. Just a stone's throw from the nearby campsite, making it perfect for a cozy end to the day. We particularly liked the beer garden. The combination of rustic charm and practical details, such as the citronella candles, which reliably keep the wasps away, creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. On warm summer evenings it is simply wonderful to sit out here and enjoy nature and food. The food is ordered self-service indoors and the menu hangs on the wall outside. Simply note the table number and state it inside. The food and drinks are then brought to the table. The cuisine itself is typically Franconian. Particularly noteworthy are the children's portions, which are portioned just right for the little ones. The quality of the food impressed us – everything was delicious. The hearty Franconian classics simply taste good here. However, there is also a small downside: the service can vary. While most of the staff are friendly and attentive, we encountered a somewhat arrogant waiter on both evenings who made us feel unwelcome. That was a shame, as the ambience and the food were otherwise absolutely convincing. Another tip: Be sure to reserve the day before! The restaurant is very popular and without a reservation you have little chance of getting a seat, especially in summer. And only cash payment is accepted, there is an ATM outside if needed.

We are from Zirndorf and were in the beer garden for the first time on a warm evening, unfortunately probably for the last time. The ambience is really first-class, shady and simply beautifully located in the inner courtyard. Good beer with the Weißenoher! Unfortunately the food only deserves 3 stars, the Schäufele was very tender (positive) but also quite salty and the crust was already black. The Kniedle/dumplings were probably not homemade either. The schnitzel that was served that evening looked more like frozen food, thin, flat breading and not at all like a home-breaded schnitzel. I also felt sorry for the customers who had to experience the kitchen closing at 7:45 p.m. - especially since the website says 8:30 p.m. Let's ignore the longer waiting time, the kitchen certainly had a lot to do, but perhaps the concept should be reconsidered. The location had potential for more! Attention, only cash payment possible. ATM however in front of the door.

Tonight, 7.30 pm in full service time, bounced despite 4 free tables inside and 3 outside... The reason was the following: "Yes, it's true that you are during service hours but tonight we have had too many requests and we cannot serve you before 2 hours and we close at 9pm..." There were 4 of us, 2 of which were small girls. No comment!

You sit at beer tables in a courtyard and they tried to give us a table even without a reservation. It's self-service and that's OK. We had the schnitzel with fries and pulled pork (yum!) As we were leaving, (the boss?) was playing a harmonium, very quaint 👍

Food is absolutely fine, better service would be an advantage. Seating very worn and uncomfortable. Sitting in the restaurant on good chairs and benches is denied in summer when it is dry. It's actually a shame it wasn't like that before.

2 nights on the CP, 2 x meals in the Kunstmühle. Actually says everything 🤣 The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The service friendly and quick. On day 1 we each had 1 Cordon Bleu filled with Black Forest ham and cheese. Definitely not a convenience cordon bleu. Delicious. On day 2 we had Schäufele with dumplings (pre-ordered). Also extremely good. The acoustics in the restaurant are a bit louder due to the vault, but in the beer garden it is self-service (drinks and orders, food is brought out)

Dear landlady, dear host, I also recently had dinner with you. I looked at some reviews. A suggestion from me in advance. You should not respond to criticism with defense. Anyone who defends themselves feels guilty. Accept the guests' criticism and try to implement the criticism as best as possible. Now about the food. I would have Schäufele; and I have to say it was pretty good. The side salad (which unfortunately costs extra) was missing some vinegar to my liking. But taste itself is subjective. What tastes good to one person doesn't necessarily mean good to another. For dessert I had a small Kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce. And unfortunately I have to put it this way: it was the worst I've ever eaten. It was dripping with oil or clarified butter. I also had the feeling that it was a ready meal. But what I don't know 100%. I also tried my neighbor's potato salad. This was too dry for me and also lacked some vinegar. But as already said. Taste is subjective. The service was good in the restaurant. The waiter was very attentive. And he had an amazing memory. He didn't need a pad to write things down. The food and drinks ended up in the right place. All in all it was okay, but you can see that unfortunately you can ruin a lot with a bad meal. I also think the prices are a bit excessive for a country inn. But that's the case almost everywhere these days.

Since we belong to Wolfgang's 10th group, we agree with his competent criticism. The dessert Kaiserschmarrn was far too greasy, schnitzel was too dry, potato salad without onions and taste. Food and drinks are way too expensive compared to other restaurants. As stated in the review, the restaurant is not a campsite restaurant, so it is surprising that campsite visitors use the restaurant's toilet.

We visited friends at the adjacent campsite and then went to the beer garden to eat. It's self-service here (which isn't unusual for a beer garden). The extensive menu is displayed for everyone to see. There is also a good selection of vegetarian dishes (which is not always the case in Franconian restaurants). The location is quite nice and the service is on point. We were even brought water for our dogs (without any special request) 👍🏼 We had the beer goulash with extra salad, asparagus with schnitzel and Schäufele and were very satisfied. The Schäufele were perfect 👌🏼 the meat was very tender and the crust was amazing 😉 with the meal there was also an accordion serenade 😉.

Franconian butcher's bratwurst and the highlight from the slaughter bowl: salt knuckles and kettle meat with a real "bumberskraut". Live music from Micha's dance music and wonderful sunshine. Unfortunately, the art mill is somewhat hidden and is not visible from the street. But once you find it, it's really worth it! -Super nice hosts -Almost EVERYTHING is homemade and tastes that way too! The highlights today were the homemade pumpkin soup and the homemade dessert! In addition, we have rarely had such a tender and delicious beer goulash! Definitely a recommendation even in winter!

The visit to the Kunstmühle was very pleasant, we felt welcome. Kitchen and service a well-rehearsed team, all of our wishes, e.g. vegan food upon request, were fulfilled. We'd love to come back, even or especially when the campsite is closed.

Food very salty and the schnitzel very, very dark (actually burnt) on the bottom and that for just under €16. Back then there was also salad, this time just a handful of fries and a bag of ketchup, which we also had to pay extra for. It's just not "logical" that you have to order it if it isn't listed anywhere. The boss was at the counter and also served the tables. Unfortunately, he was very arrogant, even towards his old colleague who appeared to be frustrated when he came out of the kitchen and then simply disappeared. At least we didn't see him again that evening. The boss then continued serving alone. We had the table right across from the counter and you could see everything, whether you wanted to or not. Unfortunately, the place has gone down a lot. The last time I was here at the campsite was 3.5 years ago and it was something completely different. The place itself is really beautiful and we enjoyed camping here. You'll just have to look around for food next time. The toilets are very old and are in urgent need of renovation. But they were clean. There is a good beer on tap, unfortunately I forgot the name, but it wasn't Zirndorfer. Here too there was only a “as it says” and a strange grin. I didn't quite understand. I don't actually judge and I struggled with myself for a long time. But the nice atmosphere was completely destroyed by the bad mood and behavior of the boss. We were very shocked about it. A real shame.

Our vacation started here just great! The staff was super friendly and also very flexible when it came to allergies. There was a great and delicious solution for every question! The Kunstmühle is simply recommended. We have rarely eaten so well and so plentifully! At the end you can also recommend a rhubarb schnapps! Thank you for the great time!

Fränkische Küche 👍neuer und letzter Besuch am 8ten Oktober. Schäufele war gut 👍 Service hat auch geklappt. Aber Kleinigkeiten haben mich geärgert. Eine kleine Tasse mit noch kleineren Salatteilchen über 4 €. Kein Blattsalat,alles ........ Und 1 Tütchen Ketchup oder Majo je 50 Cent. Das gehört für mich zum Service

Diese Lokalität ist immer und zu jeder Zeit ein Besuch wert. Die Betreiber sind sehr nett, man fühlt sich hier immer Willkommen. Hier stimmt auch zu 100% die Qualität, alle Essen sind frisch zubereitet, und die Preise sind sehr fair. Vielen Dank nochmal für den Tollen Service. Wir kommen 100% wieder.

Das Restaurant liegt direkt beim Campingplatz. Wir, meine Frau und die Kinder, sind abends dorthin um noch etwas zu essen und trinken. Das Essen war der absolute Hammer. Ich hatte Biergulasch. Ich habe noch nie so ein leckeres Gulasch gegessen. Meine Frau hatte Pulled Pork. Das war auch der Wahnsinn. Die Bedienung und der Chef waren super freundlich. Wir werden, sollten wir nochmal auf dem Campingplatz fahren auf alle Fälle nochmal fort Essen gehen. Danke für das geile Gulasch.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort, etwas später als gewöhnlich. Das Essen war super lecker und kam vergleichsweise schnell. Alle Mitarbeiter waren außergewöhnlich freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen, haben wir uns nach einem Besuch im Playmobil-FunPark entschieden, dort essen zu gehen. Bezahlung erfolgt in bar, aber ist nicht ganz so schlimm. Ein Geldautomat steht gefühlt und tatsächlich vor der Tür. Also dies ist kein Hindernis. Aufgrund Personalmangels ist im Biergarten Selbstbedienung angesagt. Mit dieser Entscheidung wird offen umgegangen. Das find ich super. Ein Zettel am Platz erklärt das Verfahren. Getränke bekommt man sofort mit. Essen wird gebracht. Wir hatten Spätzle mit Soße als Kindergericht und ich hatte 3 Bratwürste mit Sauerkraut und Brot. Sehr lecker. Ausgezeichnete Küche und netter Service.
