A nice restaurant with delicious food and fine drinks. I wouldn't necessarily celebrate Grandma's birthday there, but I would spend any evening there with friends at any time. All the employees are super nice and attentive, despite the store being full and moving indoors due to bad weather, no one seemed relaxed for even a second, let alone stressed. We all shared the wonderful dishes and were able to try and enjoy the menu and then back up a bit.

Pretty solid. Understandable ingredients extremely well implemented, something like that doesn't happen that often. Service could perhaps have checked on the table a little more often, apart from that it was very friendly. Prices more than fair. That's why I don't understand why the neighboring table is served tap water when asked. A restaurant makes money from food and drinks.

A layed-back restaurant on par with international dining experiences. I found it a refreshing surprise in an otherwise pretty unambiguous and unimaginative Munich dining landscape. Whilst not surprising to read the negative reviews from locals it is still frustrating. Polka is a place that is trying to be modern and interesting (and nailing it). It’s a restaurant you go to be open-minded and adapt from large sizes, individual dishes to sharing small plates (it’s not like they don’t call that out). You get to try lots of different flavours and share this experience with the people you’re with. Win-win! It’s what the rest of the culinary world in this price range and setup has been doing for years now – great to see it in Haidhausen.

The Polka restaurant is now one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Munich. The food is always excellent, fish and meat dishes are particularly recommended. Thank you for being here. Keep it up! Your Jochen

I'm just excited. The combination of service, ambience and food is simply breathtaking. The bartender swings the drinks like no other and little Remy (Ratatouille) in the kitchen does a really great job. In summary, it's an emotional rollercoaster. Thank you POLKA Diner!!!

The place looks very nice. Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The bartender was extremely unfriendly when we tried to sit down at an uncleared table. We then had to leave again. Too bad, it sounded promising.

Super relaxed and beautiful, modern and creative restaurant with a changing menu. And everything to share too. I also celebrated my birthday here with a larger group. The service was perfect - everything in the right place at the right time, very relaxed and friendly. Despite the size of the group, it never really became hectic or chaotic. Über das Essen ist schon viel geschrieben worden. Stimmt alles. Mir gefällt die Kreativität der Küche und die Lässigkeit vom Service, gepaart mit der notwendigen Professionalität. Das einige Tische an Ihre Kapazität kommen liegt an der Größe der Portionen. Da aber alles so lecker ist, sollte das such gerne so bleiben.

Wonderful food in a very cozy and inviting atmosphere. The drinks menu is full of classics and unique combinations, and the food menu is simple, yet very refined. Everything we had was delicious and came at a fair price. We will definitely be coming back and recommending Polka to friends.

Wunderbarer Ort zum Verweilen! Mir hat besonders die vegetarische/vegane Speiseauswahl gefallen, alles sehr delikat und sehr faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ich war alleine an einem Freitagabend dort (am Abend vorher reserviert), hatte einen wunderschönen Tisch und der Service war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und gut gelaunt. Kurzum...es war wie bei sehr guten Freunden zu essen. Vielen Dank und große Empfehlung!

Der lyrische Teil kommt weiter unten. Zunächst aber die Fakten: - Reservieren is 1-2 Tage vorher nötig, für spontane Besuche ist die Bar im Keller perfekt - Küchen Europas gemischt - Tappas Style / Essen zum teilen - Ein ausgiebiger Abend für 2 kostet 60-100€ - Sommerterasse Mit einer ungesehenen Kreativität kombinieren die Köche der Polka Europas Küchen und schaffen es mit den frischen Oliven und ein paar mediterranen Gerichten ein Lebensgefühl von Spanien bis in die Türkei zu abzudecken. Dazu trägt auch die wundervolle Platzierung am Pariser Platz im Herzen Haidhausens bei. Egal ob zur goldenen Stunde, zum Sonnenuntergang, während der Dämmerung oder Nachts - es entsteht ein urbanes Urlaubsgefühl, auch wenn man als Münchner gerade einen anstrengenden Arbeitstag hinter sich hat. Die Polka empfängt mit wärmenden Glühbirnen die den Himmel schmücken. Die Sommerterasse ist eine Konstante des Stadtbildes und lässt das ohnehin schon leckere Essen noch mehr genießen.

Wir haben spontan noch zwei Plätze bekommen und es war soooo köstlich! Kleine Speisen, die man teilen kann so konnten wir vieles verschiedenes probieren. Sehr empfehlenswert! Tausend Dank!

Very good food and wonderfull People

Nettes etwas improvisiert wirkendes Lokal im schönsten Stadtviertel. Man kann gut draußen sitzen. Der Service ist freundlich. Die Gerichte sind schmackhaft und von guter Qualität aber leider bräuchte man zwei davon um einigermaßen satt zu werden. Wir haben um 18 Uhr reserviert und wurden um 20 Uhr gebeten zu gehen da der Tisch dann erneut vergeben sei. Schade für den warmen Sommerabend Ich komme wahrscheinlich nicht mehr wieder

Schöner Flair und nettes Personal, allerdings gingen wir hungrig heim. Die (Haupt-)Speisen haben lediglich Tapas Größe.

Leckeres Essen und sehr guter Service

Sowohl Bar als auch Restaurant, absolute Favoriten in Haidhausen. Die Speisekarte des Restaurants ist sehr kreativ und abwechslungsreich. Der Service ist super freundlich. Die Bar ist wunderbar stilvoll eingerichtet und die Musikauswahl jedesmal ausgezeichnet.

Preis-Leistung nicht mehr gut! Portionen sind einfach nur noch zu klein. Nachtisch super lecker aber für das was man bekommt ist der Preis schon fast unverschämt. Service war auch schon mal besser und die Wartezeit auf Getränke und Essen war echt lange. Wurde dann auch einmal noch damit begründet, dass die Mitarbeitende Person der Bar grad rauchen ist.

Netter Service, faire Preise. Essen mal neu interpretiert. Gerne wieder....

Cocktails so la la. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Aber das beste war der Kellner, der das Wechselgeld mit großer Geste auf den Tisch pfefferte, weil er meinte, nicht genug Trinkgeld erhalten zu haben. Schade bei dem schönen Ambiente...

Mal was anderes. Ausgefallene und sehr leckere Gerichte.

Ganz nettes kleines Lokal. Während das Essen ganz gut schmeckte, stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht. Ich würde empfehlen schon vorher etwas zu essen oder mindestens zwei Portionen zu bestellen. Die Kellnerin und Küche kannten sich aber mit Gluten gut aus.

Keine Polka, kein Rundtanz im lebhaften bis raschen ²⁄₄-Takt mit Achtelrhythmus, wobei jeweils auf drei Schritte ein Hopser folgt... Soviel Dynamik hat der Laden einfach nicht. Zwar freundlich, aber eine fast behäbige, kaum inspirierende Stimmung. Sehr brav. Das innovativste ist das Röhren-Radio aus den 1950er Jahren, das an der mit Gold-Lametta 'entzierten' Wand montiert ist. Das Essen beschränkt sich auf eine ausgedehnte Vorspeisen-Serie eher einfacherer Natur mit ein paar wohl als Gag gedachten Add-ons ("Mönchsbart", schon mal gehört?). Fairerweise möchte ich sagen, dass die Getränke-/Weinkarte in Ordnung ist. Alles neigt aber zum höherpreisigen Niveau, ohne aber in Kreativität, Ambiente oder Qualität dieses Niveau zu erreichen. Ich habe nach dem Besuch gut und entspannt geschlafen - und von etwas anderem geträumt.
