I had ordered tickets for 'Tina' for our company outing as well as the musical menu for 6 people at the Red Grill.
I won't write anything more about the musical here, other than to say that it's absolutely worth it.
Due to the many mediocre to bad reviews of the restaurant, we didn't have too high expectations and therefore thought we were well prepared for "the disaster".
We arrived at the restaurant promptly at 5 p.m. and were welcomed by the very friendly waitress, shown to the table and immediately given drinks.
The atmosphere there is wonderful and invites you to linger for a longer period of time - an absolute feel-good atmosphere.
The starter of the menu was a strong, hot carrot cream soup with chives - very good! 👍
We were then able to choose from three main courses: mushroom risotto for the vegetarians, fish on beetroot risotto and veal schnitzel with vegetables and croquettes.
We were prepared for the worst and were pleasantly surprised: every dish tasted wonderful, was hot and perfectly prepared - great! 👌
Finally there was mousse au chocolat with strawberries and physalis for dessert - also a poem. 🤤
Conclusion: Either they replaced the team or drew conclusions from the many reviews.
In any case, we were extremely happy with everything, including the prices, which are completely acceptable, because at €29.90 for the menu, the restaurateurs have to be able to live on something, so a little is added to the drinks, which is completely within reason.
Many thanks to the Red Grill team and especially the friendly waitress. They rounded off the musical evening for us and made it an excellent experience! 😃👏
lamb biriyani was beyond bad!!
It was a basically a vegetable Pulao, with 3-4 very very small pieces of lamb, like the size of grapes. Rice was very salty, taste was no were near any kind of biriyani.. I can't understand how one can manage to make food so bad. There is no relation between the rice and the lamb here. Wouold never order from here again!
Machte gestern Bekanntschaft mit deren Filiale im Heidelberger Zoo. Deren Pommesbude hat mir gereicht. Wenn das simply the best sein soll, schaue ich mir den Rest gar nicht erst an......
The food is very expensive and the portions are small. The Kässpatzen was a single lump of cheese. We wanted to buy a children's portion and were told very unkindly that it was only available as a menu but that it cost €12.90. Once and never again. The tables dirty and sticky. When we asked for a rag we were simply ignored.
I ate there twice because I had a room at the Mercure. The first time I had the Black Angus Burger. Unfortunately, the top and bottom of the roll were so grilled that it resembled a rusk (1 star deducted). The second time I had the Nuremberg sausages. Unfortunately, the sauerkraut was super dry and there was no mustard and by the way if you booked an overnight stay... it's the same sausages as at breakfast (1 more star deducted)
I deducted 1 star because of the prices (value for money)
But the ladies who serve are very nice
Tax advice glazier:
We have been a customer of Day of Companies for years.
We waited 1.5 hours for bread plates. We were put off several times. "10 more minutes, 10 more minutes..." The query to the "boss" resulted in the following answer: "...you can leave immediately and it's best not to make a reservation with me next year...". He made this statement to my employees and me several times. Aggressive. If you are no longer allowed to ask questions normally, then something is wrong. We won't come anymore. Promised.

We are happy to do without such impatient and cheeky guests!

Final note:
complete overwhelm. Wrong man in the wrong place. It has nothing to do with impatience. I also don't know what was cheeky about our request after 1.5 hours. I also informed the Speyer tourist office. Otherwise, my experiences with other companies coincide. Fortunately, there are alternatives.
Pride comes before a fall.

Threatening with the tourist office😂 what childish behavior. How old are you? And that's right, I'm happy with my team's performance👍 see you next year and have a good time. By the way, we don't give any reviews on Google. You shouldn't do either.
Best regards
