Gaststätte Doxa in Esslingen am Neckar

Seit 2026 neue Pächter und wieder einen Besuch wert! Jetzt gehe ich wieder gerne zur Katharinenlinde. Gute Auswahl an Getränken und kühles, leckeres Bier von Schimpf. Von der vegetarischen Pinsa bin ich total begeistert und kann daher die anderen Gerichte nicht bewerten. Endlich wieder empfehlenswert ✌️

I ordered a glass of Jack Daniel's. They brought a black glass for juice. I asked them to pour it into a whisky glass. The whisky was diluted with cola; I only ordered whisky. When I ordered Chivas a second time, it was also diluted with cola. When I asked why they added cola, they replied, "Sorry." It was very strange.

War da schon Essen, auf das Essen wartet man ewig wenn es dann kommt schmeckt es schlecht. Unfreundlicher Service, genau wie der Kiosk neben an der dem selben Besitzer gehört. Einfach nicht zu empfehlen ungepflegtes auftreten von Personal und auch dem Chef. Das Essen ist schlecht letztens hatte ich sogar Haare drin, hatte mich beschwert beim Chef, der sagte ich sollte mich nicht so anstellen das kann ja schließlich auch mal vorkommen unglaublich. Sorry aber hier sollte der WKD dringend mal nach dem rechten schauen unglaublich. Es gibt wohl kaum ein schlechteren Imbiss wie Pakido voll Katastrophe. Esslingen am Bahnhof nicht zu empfehlen. Es gibt nur drei Worte für diesen Laden, , schlecht, schlechter am schlechtesten unhygienische Toiletten auch so ein Thema dort bei Pakido.

Das Essen war sehr lecker zu einem wirklich akzeptablen Preis. Sehr freundlicher Service, keine lange Wartezeit.

Four of us went there for dinner after an event. First, the positives: the host was very friendly and the ambiance outside was nice. Now for the criticisms: -One guest specifically asked whether a particular dish was made with cooked ham or Pama ham. After being told to order Pama, she ordered the dish. When the food was brought, it turned out that they apparently had run out of Pama ham, and they simply brought cooked ham. The host apologized for the inconvenience and would have taken the food back (to be considered the positive), but since she was very hungry, she kept the food and simply ate the rest. The host "could" have accommodated her when it came to the bill, since the entire ham was left untouched on her plate—otherwise, he would have had to throw away the whole meal. But oh well. His right—her bad. My friend had cevapcici, which was undercooked inside. She was also hungry and didn't feel like arguing with the host. The portion sizes were—well... sufficient, and the side salad was good. My personal conclusion: we'll go somewhere else for the next event.
