I recently dined at the Opatja restaurant in Varel and was very satisfied. The classic Croatian food is excellent, the portions are generous - even the senior-friendly versions. Particularly noteworthy is the fast, friendly and attentive service, which makes the visit very pleasant. Due to high demand, reservations are recommended during peak times. 5 stars for the great performance of the team in Opatja – absolutely recommended!

The food has been consistently good for years. Small lunch menu at low prices, quality does not differ from the normal menu. Friendly, quick service who can still cook real mocha.

Unfortunately I was only a customer for 10 years, but after over 30 years it's coming to an end. The restaurant will be open for the last time on December 31, 2023. I wish the family all the best and a well-deserved retirement! Enjoy the time.

So service was great Were welcomed very nicely and served well But unfortunately the food wasn't good, my husband had rum steak with pepperoni sauce. Meat was great but the sauce was a failure.. nothing with pepperoni sauce. and the rest of the fries etc. was also bad. I had a farmer's plate of minced steak with turkey schnitzel and soft cheese, the minced steak was good but the turkey schnitzel I bought was not good at all and neither was the rest. So we won't go there again

Were there yesterday, after a good 5 years again because it's so far from home, but nothing has changed, still very good food and great staff, we'll be back more often now, I promise!!!👍👍👍addendum, we've been there again, I think it's delicious. And I like the boss's style. How to call into the forest...

In principle it is really nice here. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. However, there are deductions for the hardly any vegetarian options (only salad or starters, no gratinated vegetables or similar) and the sometimes very grumpy, almost unfriendly young gentleman in service. The young lady, on the other hand, is super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely come back again, but because of the deductions mentioned, it wouldn't be my first choice.

Went bowling there for 2 hours with our club. Reserved one lane but had to pay for two lanes. The food is too expensive for the small portions. Staff overwhelmed and not receptive to criticism. Not recommended!
