Dalmacija in Uelzen

Unfortunately, I can't give more than 3 stars. We were very disappointed and won't be coming back. There were seven of us, one more than we had ordered, which wasn't a problem even though the restaurant was quite full. Ordering drinks and food was quick, but after we received our food, we weren't asked again if we needed anything or wanted to order anything else. The food, unfortunately, wasn't as good as it used to be. The steak was cold, there were more onions than meat in the chicken stir-fry, everything was rather blandly seasoned, and the garlic sauce was watery and tasteless. The worst part, however, was a long black hair in my fried potatoes. The waitress, whom I pointed this out to, simply took my plate away without a word, and that was it. No apology, no replacement (and I had barely eaten any of the potatoes), which I found completely unacceptable. We paid almost €300, which isn't exactly a bargain. For that price, you expect something, even if it was just a fresh portion of fried potatoes. What a shame!

We have visited Dalmacija several times with family and friends. It has always been a very pleasant experience. We particularly appreciated the attentive and friendly staff. Even a funeral reception with around 35 guests (coffee and cake with sandwiches) was handled very calmly, professionally, and appropriately in a separate room. We will certainly be back for another delicious meal soon!

Ordered a Dalmacija plate for €23.50 according to the menu. The bill on the receipt was €26.50. The online menu on the website lists two room steaks, but the on-site menu only lists one rump steak. They need to ensure consistency here. With a group of eight people, it's not possible to check the prices of all dishes when paying. Probably a cash register error, though. It's still annoying in retrospect, though. Unfortunately, they didn't serve Julischka either. A shame. It was a recommendation at one point, but not like this.... Addendum: Apologies accepted. Mistakes happen, and I've changed my review. Overall, we always felt comfortable.

A piece of Croatia in the heart of the city, simply fantastic! I had the mixed grill with djuvec rice, and it was simply the best Balkan food I've ever had! The meat was perfectly grilled, the rice wonderfully spicy and aromatic. You can taste the passion in every bite. Add to that the super-friendly service and cozy atmosphere, simply perfect all around. Highly recommended! 🇭🇷🔥

We've been eating there since the very beginning. I was there with my family and ordered fried potatoes, which were deep-fried and not with bacon and onions. I also ordered two pancakes, but with only one scoop of ice cream, and they charged me the full price. I find this behavior very sad and totally disappointing; something like this wouldn't have happened before. I hope the owner at least comments on this.

We've vacationed in the heath many times and keep coming back. After years of not being here, we felt like we missed something 🤣 that we need to catch up on. A superb restaurant, absolutely delicious 👍 . The ambiance is exquisite, as is the service, very attentive. We always come back when we're here & a big thank you for letting us bring our little dog, who obediently lay under the table and enjoyed it. It was wonderful 👍 . Thank you 👍

We ate at Dalmacija again this afternoon. As always, for over 30 years, everything was great. Dalmacija is one of our favorite restaurants in Uelzen. We even had our wedding dinner here. Keep up the good work.

This was my first time here, on the recommendation of a friend. The welcome was excellent, polite, and I must say, it couldn't have been better. The respect for guests is definitely evident and palpable here. The food was excellent and the prices are perfect. The service was very attentive and even willing to have a pleasant conversation; there was no rush or annoyance—simply top-notch. I highly recommend it.

Delicious food and friendly service! Reservations are a good idea; there were several large groups when we were there, and without a reservation (we were asked to arrive half an hour early), we probably would have had to wait much longer for our food!

It was delicious as always. Without pre-ordering, it takes a little longer, but you still get a seat.

Unfortunately, for the third time, despite free, unreserved tables, we were shown seats in the furthest, semi-dark corner behind obstructive curtains or in the aisle. Despite the sunshine and open parasols on the open terrace, we weren't allowed to sit outside either. You just don't want to be seated inside in the semi-darkness when the weather is nice, especially since the restaurant's ambiance seems rather dated. Customer service is better. We went somewhere else for the third time and are happy with it for now.

Unfortunately we had to wait about an hour and a half for our food. There was no response from the service. The starter was bread that looked like it came from Aldi, served with almost frozen, far too solid butter. It was served with ham, which I can get anywhere. I don't think you spread your bread with such solid butter at home. The kitchen needs to check how things like that come out. Then there was the meat dish. The meat was very dry and a piece of bacon had been carelessly slapped on. I can do better at home. Everything seemed to be cooked without love. It used to be completely different. We spent a lot of money and honest criticism is always important so that we can improve. Many guests say nothing and simply don't come back. It feels like the cooking has deteriorated considerably. Five years ago I gave it five stars in good conscience, but that is no longer possible. What a shame.

In my opinion, this is the best place around Uelzen if you enjoy good meat. The rump steak is unbeatable! We've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. The team is fantastic and friendly!

Hardly any vegetarian or vegan food

It was a birthday meal for 5 adults and two children. We received a very warm welcome. Drinks came pretty quickly. The waitress was super accommodating and everything was good up to that point. Then the food came, it was unacceptable, the meat was tough, the vegetables had no taste, they weren't seasoned, and the red rice was also very bland, the quality of the food had declined in this restaurant. Too bad.

Unfortunately, portions have become a little smaller, but with increased prices, quality and service are fine.

Dear Dalmacija team Please let us know online (Google) that you are on holiday. We came to you especially from Wittingen and found that you were closed. It said open on Google Maybe next time, what a shame!

So service was great Were welcomed very nicely and served well But unfortunately the food wasn't good, my husband had rum steak with pepperoni sauce. Meat was great but the sauce was a failure.. nothing with pepperoni sauce. and the rest of the fries etc. was also bad. I had a farmer's plate of minced steak with turkey schnitzel and soft cheese, the minced steak was good but the turkey schnitzel I bought was not good at all and neither was the rest. So we won't go there again

Very, very tasty, you definitely have to eat it at least once. The ambience is so good because of the swimming pool next door, but otherwise there's really nothing to complain about. The Julischka is homemade there.

We went to the buffet table with a graduating class in the summer. It was in no way a buffet. We paid 25 euros per person. Four people always got a plate. Nothing was submitted and nothing was asked. If you didn't like something, you were out of luck. According to the menu you would have paid less for the same thing à la carte. Unfortunately the quality of the food wasn't good either. Dry meat, frozen vegetables without taste. Afterwards, most of the people went into town for a snack and got something to eat.

We were passing through and chose this restaurant. Service, ambience and prices okay. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the food. The side salad was mostly iceberg lettuce and the main courses were nothing special and not well seasoned. We actually expected more from a Croatian restaurant.

Unfortunately I can't say much good. We went to dinner with a large group to celebrate graduation. 25 euros per person After looking at the menu, it was obvious that individual orders would be a good 4 euros cheaper for the same dishes. Unfortunately, the breaded cheese was rubbery and the fries were mushy due to the juice from the meat on top. Overall, an absolute disappointment. Even though the service was otherwise good, we will never eat here again.

We were there in the evening with a group of 8 adults and 2 small children and were seated at a table for 6 people, even though we had reserved in advance! Due to lack of space, the staff quickly placed chairs in the aisle, which really created an oppressive feeling. After over half an hour our drink order was taken, which finally arrived after another 15 minutes. Another 15-20 minutes later, an employee finally took pity and accepted our food requests. Our food was finally on the table TWO HOURS after arriving at Dalmacija. Basically, I can understand and respect this on busy days, but I also didn't enjoy the food because it was burnt and absolutely inedible, shoe sole meat and almost raw, containing everything except good taste. The food was just as carelessly prepared as it was cooked. I normally always give a generous tip (10-20%), but here even one euro would have been too much for me!

Very long waiting times. A table was reserved and dinner was served 2.5 hours later. The women had just had their fill, but the men had not. The children went crazy with hunger and boredom while waiting and were beyond tired at the end... We skipped dessert.

Very inviting restaurant, nice reception and also very good food without a reservation. From the motorhome parking space at the marina, around 15 minutes by bike! But you can also eat in the marina. Everybody as he wishes;-))

We like coming here, it's been a while since the last time because the "meat consumption" within the family has changed significantly 🤣 and now comes the reason why that is so: I asked for a dish that is no longer available Card stands. A short time later I received an answer from the always friendly and attentive service staff that it wouldn't be a problem, they managed it! Something like this is not a given and deserves to be emphasized all the more 👍 We are happy to recommend the restaurant

There is a lack of sause and the quantity is too little, the rest is great. Prices are normal these days for the portions, I've never experienced such good service, the ambience is a bit strange with the indoor pool on one side, but there is also another side that faces the parking lot and large, beautiful trees.

Ante and team are simply great. Friendly, courteous, fast. The food has been of consistently very good quality for decades. The Dalmacija is simply an institution in Uelzen.

Wir waren gestern mehr zufällig im Rahmen eines Ausflugs in Uelzen und haben mittags beim Dalmatija gegessen. Das Restaurant befindet sich im Hallen-/ Freibad der Stadt Uelzen. Man kann vom Speiseraum direkt in das Hallenbad sehen. Grosser Parkplatz vor dem Bad. Das Essen war einfach spitzenmässig. Wir hatten Cevapcici, Spiess und Pommes. Selbst wenn man explizit danach sucht - es gibt wirklich nichts zu bemäkeln. Cevapcici sehr lecker, Spiess fettarm offenbar aus Rückensteak. Selbst die Pommes richtig knusprig. Salat ebenfalls lecker mit einer Art American Dressing. Aber Achtung: Die rote Ajvar - Sosse ist wirklich extrem scharf. Knoblauch in Öl muss man extra bestellen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Volles Haus ist nicht immer gut- es war sehr laut, eine Unterhaltung im normalen Ton nicht möglich. Unsere Erwartungen waren typisch kroatisches Essen und wurden nicht erfüllt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Würde ich nicht nochmal machen.

Super delicious food, great atmosphere. I'm there often, it's just a shame that you almost always have to actively ask for more drinks. A little more attentiveness (after eating) would be nice. Sometimes you want to sit a little longer with another drink.

There were three of us there, with a dog. Were very friendly and accommodating. Food tastes good and was also very quick. Drinks sometimes took a while, but the place was full. We'd love to come back.

Wie immer erste Sahne. Am Wochenende sollte man einen Tisch reservieren. Sehr freundlicher Service, Essen ist immer sehr lecker. Extrawünsche sind noch nie ein Problem gewesen.

Das Dalmacjia ist für mich, seit Jahrzehnten eines der besten Restaurants in und um Uelzen. Der Service ist dort 1A. Der Chef bedient auch noch selber. Denen entgeht dort wirklich nichts. Und sind dazu auch noch sehr schnell. Das Ambiente ist einladend und gemütlich. Die Terrasse ist an schönen Tagen echt der Hit, mit Blick über das Schwimmbad. Das Essen ist dort absolute Extra Klasse. Ich habe auch noch nie jemanden getroffen, der schon mal im Dalmacija essen war, und nicht vom Essen begeistert war. Ob Steak, Salat, Grillplatte oder Nudeln. Man merkt die Leute in der Küche haben echt Ahnung. Wer dort Essen möchte sollte aber rechtzeitig anrufen. Und Reservieren. Das Dalmacija ist,zu recht, immer gut besucht. Mit Parkplätzen könnte es durch das Schwimmbad auch mal eng werden. Absolute Empfehlung dort mal Essen zu gehen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Immer leckeres Essen und immer sehr freundlich

Wir gehen immer gerne zu Ante und sein Team. Das Essen schmeckt uns immer sehr lecker und die Preise sind abgemessen. Wir fühlen uns dort sehr wohl.

Nach sehr langer Zeit ( zuletzt 1992) mal wieder da gewesen. Heute noch genau wie früher sehr gut und schön. Aufmerksame Bedienung. Essen hervorragend. Beste Steaks in der Stadt !!! Kommen sehr gerne wieder !!! Inzwischen mehrfach wieder da gewesen. Es ist einfach toll. Das Essen super. Portionen mehr als ausreichend. Geschmacklich auf ganz hohem Niveau! Und vor allem immer freundlich und versuchen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Top!!! Bis zum nächsten Mal!!! Gerade heute festgestellt das ich Stammgast seit 1986 bin. Und wie immer war es heute spitze wie immer. Freundlich, aufmerksam und ein Genuss hier zu speisen.
