Restaurant Mati, Griechisch-Mediterran in Uelzen

Great furnishings, decorations and wall paintings were individual and appropriate, food was well prepared and everyone enjoyed it, home-made fries, friendly waiters and dessert was on the house. But I wish there were more vegetarian and vegan options, there is only a vegetable pan with feta (or side dishes such as fries, rice, salad). Toilets don't look so good, seem a bit run down, various damage to joints, walls, heavy wear...

We have been to Mati several times and are thrilled every time. Great food, great service. You simply feel comfortable as a guest.

Food, service and ambience top class

An honest and really good restaurant. Particularly friendly and, above all, noticeably clean and well-kept. Food is tasty and solid. We were passing through with a child and drove on happily. There is also a great children's menu.

I was looking forward to a good PORTION of GIROS, a children's plate came, it was impossible to fill up with it. For 15 euros, other guests rated the food very well, I didn't because it was very disappointing. Lettuce without cucumbers and tomatoes are expensive at the moment. Then a very small portion of GIROS with a tablespoon of tzatziki and 15 fries. I'll make my own GIROS in the future, it's already available in good quality at Kaufland and is very well seasoned. PORTION really fills you up and costs half as much. So Jamas.

The food was okay, but I know better Greeks. The staff was friendly and attentive. In terms of taste, the dishes (lamb casserole, biftekit, gyros) were good, but nothing special. The accompanying portion of fries was rather small. We were still full. If you like ouzo: you get one per person when you order, and you get a 0.2 carafe of ouzo for free with your meal. Also very nice: a little gift on the house after the meal: Greek yogurt with honey. Of course, the restaurant can't do anything about the fact that it's an athletes' home with the appropriate ambience.

We were there for the first time today and were totally thrilled. Super friendly service, the food was perfect, the meat was juicy and tasty. Great side dishes and filling with ouzo. Even a small dessert was served. We definitely weren't here for the last time.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and it was phenomenal! The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. As a big fan of Greek cuisine, I was particularly impressed by the lamb and turkey. I have rarely enjoyed such excellently prepared meat dishes. They were perfectly seasoned and wonderfully tender. Everything from the starter to the dessert was of the highest quality and carefully prepared. This visit was a culinary highlight that I will not soon forget. A real insider tip! Highly Recommended!

Went to dinner at Mati today with four people. The restaurant was pretty empty, although there were a few more tables occupied on the terrace. The food was plentiful - my friend had Giro's house style with onions, peppers and tomatoes, unfortunately almost the whole Giro was swimming in tomato sauce. I had grilled liver with onions, unfortunately the liver was hard to find under the whole onion. Since I've eaten liver there several times, I know it can get better.

The best food and very good prices and the best service.

The fried potatoes looked and tasted like they had been fried again and the taste was not of restaurant quality, in the mouth it was more like French fries, just pure potatoes without onions or bacon. Unfortunately, the liver we ordered was tough and stringy and no longer tasted fresh, the grill strips were burned evenly as if they had been burned with a branding iron or painted on like the food stylist used for product photos, and the onions weren't fried onions like you would expect with the liver. but just limp, glassy vegetable onion strips with no taste. All in all, unfortunately disappointing and not at all what I was hoping for after this restaurant was recommended to me. It could have been because it was lunchtime, or because it was Wednesday, or the chef was sick, or or or, but the service was also inattentive and you had to draw attention to yourself if you wanted another drink. And this despite the fact that there was hardly any activity and the - admittedly - quite modern and tastefully furnished, clean restaurant was only a third full. But the service was otherwise very friendly when you wanted to order. If you like it, you'll get your money's worth with free ouzo. Each guest receives one as a welcome, and a small carafe is also placed on the table when eating.

Due to many positive reviews, I had dinner here while passing through and can only confirm the good experiences. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is modern and the most important thing is that the food is really very good! My lamb shank was very tender, harmoniously seasoned and appetizingly presented. I will gladly come again!

Ein wirklich großes und gemütliches Lokal angegliedert an einen Sportverein. Die Speisen waren in Ordnung und preislich angemessen. Es wurde sehr viel Ouzo „auf‘s Haus“ gereicht, aber trotzdem fehlte „das gewisse etwas“, vor allem, wenn man es mit einem anderen Griechen in Uelzen vergleicht.

The taste is really good, but the portion I had was far too small and it wasn't for the small appetite. Unfortunately I can't go there with my son.

Vom Essen und von dem Service ist alles Top. Das Ambiente ähnelt eher einem guten normalem Restaurant als einem griechischen.

Spontan einen Tisch an Silvester gebucht. Leckeres Essen, toller Service. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zu empfehlen.

Leckeres Essen, direkt am Bolzplatz. Die perfekte Auswärtstour, bzw natürlich auch für die heimischen Fans ein Genuß. Selten so viel Ouzo auf Kosten des Hauses bekommen.

Ein schönes und gemütliches Restaurant. Nettes und sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen war super lecker, bis auf das Gyros, welches uns allen uns viel zu fettig war und somit liegen blieb. Allerdings war es auf Korfu genau so, von daher ist es kein negativ Abzug, sondern eher Geschmackssache. Die Portionen sind reichlich und auch das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmen hier überein. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Nur zu empfehlen Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wahren nach der Schließung wieder mit lieben Freunden dort, alles super einfach selbst überzeugen nicht irgendwelchen Gerüchten nachgeben.

Wir saßen draußen, nettes Ambiete geschaffen, mit Kunstrasen und vielen Blumen. Es gibt Ouzo bis zum Abwinken, Service ist sehr nett und das Essen war spitze! Lecker, bekömmlich, reichliche Portion und schön angerichtet! Ein Besuch lohnt sich!
