Very warm and courteous service, delicious food, great fries and always a hot Slivovitz on the house when you pick it up, even if you don't have to wait at all to pick it up, as very accurate times are given on the phone.

The portions are smaller and the prices have increased. The fries (exactly only 30 pieces) were cold. The salad was borderline bad The turkey schnitzel was cheap pressed meat, with a lot of water from the food industry. The restaurant used to be highly recommended. Today, exactly the opposite. It's a shame that you have to give one star. I would have liked to have given it 5 minus .

Solid, down-to-earth cuisine with no frills, everything freshly prepared. The portions are generous and the prices are very fair. The lady from the service is very personable, friendly and customer-oriented. The atmosphere is cozy. In one sentence: There's nothing to complain about and we'll be happy to come back!

Very nice service, nice beer garden to sit outside. Drinks came quickly, salads were available at the small buffet inside. Vegetarian dish was delicious. (sheep cheese) The schnitzels were good, the fries were very tasty. However, I also expect a “grill plate” to come from the grill. That is not the case. The meat was also rather hard and dry, with the exception of the turkey. I'm generally not a big "Croatian restaurant" fan, but I would come back for a schnitzel. Otherwise, not so much. In principle, it's nice for an afternoon/evening in the beer garden if you don't have too high expectations. In terms of price it was also correspondingly cheap.

We were allowed to stay in Giessen for 5 days and found the Croatica restaurant where we felt very comfortable. During the 5 days we went to Croatica as often as we could and actually ordered up and down the menu. Great service 👍 great food 👍 great ambience, very nice courteous service and very nice owners. We are happy to award 3x5 stars for this 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer up to date and stopped 30 years ago. The food tastes worse than in the takeaway and the place could use an overhaul. The staff is very nice. But with burnt food, soggy tasteless fries and an appetizer salad of iceberg lettuce and bottled dressing, I won't be coming back. I gave the restaurant a few chances, but I was always disappointed.
