The restaurant was full of barbecue fumes because the kitchen door was constantly open. The meat wasn't great quality, the salad bar was 70% empty, and the hot sauce served with the meat was like tomato sauce... there's a lot of room for improvement for the owner...

Delicious Croatian food with very friendly staff! We really enjoyed our visit.

I was there with my family and in-laws for a meal and was really looking forward to trying Croatian cuisine, but... The food wasn't very good, unfortunately. The food was bland and the vegetables were almost raw... What a shame.

A sad farewell to our former favorite restaurant On August 19th, we visited Croatica in Bad Hersfeld again – a restaurant that had been almost like home to us for many years. We not only ate there regularly, but even celebrated our wedding there. The food was always excellent, the staff friendly – ​​we felt welcome and appreciated. But that evening, we experienced a disappointment that hurt us deeply. My wife ordered her favorite dish, as usual: the stuffed minced steak with feta. But what was served was in no way up to the usual quality. The minced steak had been cut open, the plate was full of fat and liquid, the cheese had melted – and the minced meat was still raw inside. Of course, we complained – politely and matter-of-factly. But the manager's reaction was hard to believe: She said the minced steak was "always like that." We weren't offered a new dish; instead, we were reluctantly recommended to order chevapcici. But this alternative was also disappointing: The rice and fries were soggy and clearly carried over from the previous plate – unappetizing and completely unacceptable. When paying, I again expressed our disappointment and explained that we felt like we weren't being taken seriously, that our displeasure was being ignored. But here, too, there was no understanding or even a word of regret. It was as if it didn't matter at all that long-time regulars were leaving so dissatisfied. That hurts – more than you'd expect. Because with this evening, we lost "our restaurant," a place where we felt comfortable and welcome for years. The disappointment runs deep – because it wasn't just about bad food, but about the disrespectful treatment. A bitter farewell.

All the dishes are extremely overpriced, starting at €20 and up. The point is, the portions are small, and the dishes aren't even exceptional. For example, I ordered the sea bream with potatoes for €26. The sea bream was much too small, and the potatoes were cooked with cauliflower and broccoli, and for €26? This is by far the most expensive restaurant in Bad Hersfeld.

The food here is delicious. We always enjoy coming back.

I spontaneously went there with a friend for dinner, and we were very satisfied. The great thing is that you can put together your own salad at the salad bar, which comes with every meal. The service was very friendly.

The restaurant is on the B27 🛣. There are enough parking spaces on site and in the immediate vicinity. The service is very friendly and quick. The food tastes very good 👍. You can put together your own side salad at the buffet - I had grilled beef liver with braised onions - a dream 🤗😇. Highly recommended.

The Lokas is modernly furnished. The prices are moderate. The grill plate was good. I personally think it's good that you can put together your own salad at the salad bar. However, the selection is not overwhelming. The onion soup with a slice of processed cheese takes some getting used to. The service is very good and everyone was very friendly.

The onion soup itself was delicious. The bread in it was mediocre and the cheese was strange. Simple processed cheese slice in a 0.2-0.3 ml cup... OK. That would be fine for 3-4 euros, but for 7.50 euros it's simply not enough. Maybe I chose the dish or the day (Monday lunchtime) unluckily. Mediocre food, but corresponding rating.

Pleasant atmosphere, pleasant music, however, the food is far from our "home" cuisine. Rice with meat, in some kind of sweet-unusual sauce, squid that resemble ready-made frozen products. Each dish is accompanied by a salad, which is served at the bar, which is commendable. We will not be returning.

It wasn't bad but not particularly good either. Difficult to give a recommendation. Friends had the Hersfeld platter...appearance was poor...I had ink fish...maximum good...I know better... Conclusion...it's ok, but not a highlight for me

Der Service ist gut, nett und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist okay aber leider sehr laut, man versteht sein eigenes Wort nicht. Das Essen war nicht so überragend. Das Fleisch vom Grillteller war ziemlich trocken und die rote Soße dazu war sehr geschmacksneutral. Die gegrillten Calamaris mit Pommes waren sehr zäh und dazu gab es keine Sosse oder Weißbrot dafür 21,40 € zu verlangen ist unverschämt. Die Bedienung hat es nicht bemerkt dass der Teller nicht aufgegessen war. Die Reklamation blieb leider ohne Reaktion. Da gehe ich nicht mehr hin. Sorry.

Went there for dinner, overall I'm leaning back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but I'm giving 4 stars overall because it was rush hour and things might be different outside of that. The taste of the food was good, but it was quite “standard” in terms of the preparation. For dessert I ordered the ice cream, which ended up being just 3 scoops of 3 colored ice cream in a small bowl, so I definitely remember ice cream differently from my Croatia vacation. Service was perfectly fine. Ambience just as beautifully decorated. My biggest criticism would probably be the temperature, it was really, really warm, the guests at the window seats had already started to open the windows because it was almost unbearable. That's why only 3 stars for the ambience.

Im Vergleich zu letztem Jahr ernüchternd. Die Beilagen wie Pommes waren extrem wenig (sind im Einkauf ja billig) Der Eisbecher für 5,50€ eine Frechheit. Es waren keine normalen Kugeln sondern halbe. Mitarbeiter waren genug da und sehr nett. Das Essen kam Zeitgleich für alle. Der Latte Macchiato kosten 4,60€! Teurer wie in Frankfurt auf der Zeil! Beilagen z.B. Pommes, Reis pro Portion 5,10€. Sorry aber das ist uns zu heftig.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. I was looking forward to authentic, home-cooked Croatian food, but was disappointed. The majority of the food obviously consisted of ready-made products and conveyed no flair of traditional Croatian cuisine. The salad buffet was also not very appealing - mostly made from canned or ready-made salads, which reinforced the impression of careless preparation. The price-performance ratio was particularly annoying: the prices are completely excessive for this quality of food. Overall, not a recommendation if you value freshness, authenticity and a fair offer.

The overall package was great! The quality of service was exceptional – the staff were attentive and welcoming. The location is beautiful and creates a welcoming atmosphere. The food was simply great – fresh, creative and perfectly flavored. Absolutely recommended!

For us it is very convincing. The price-performance ratio is right, the quality, the friendliness, everything is just right.

Fast, friendly service. Salad buffet good selection. Had the Pola Pola plate, it was okay so far. Unfortunately, the fries were dry and floury, and the meat was very lightly seasoned. So I was happy that the Djuvec rice was tasty. Price/performance okay.

We stayed at the “sleep and go” hotel both on the outward leg of the trip and on the return trip. It simply made sense to walk a few steps straight into CROATICA. The food was great and very tasty, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the price-performance ratio was very good. A prior reservation is recommended (at least on weekends)!

The beer is refreshing and ultra light, the staff is very pleasant and smiling, their English a little "poor" but you can make yourself understood simply, quickly, efficiently. I confirm that I Salad Buffet is Top and the sauces delicious. A large salad is more than enough! I wanted to be strong and I tasted the Cevapcici, be careful, very very hearty and their rice with peppers, onions... Delicious; I didn't touch the fries Madame enjoyed her large shrimps and she couldn't finish her salad... It's very clean. The exterior setting is... A resort for us. Ah, finally, the espresso looks like a ristreto but lacks the taste of...of...coffee, but it is strong. Bravo and thank you for this good time.

The service is good, nice and attentive. The ambience is okay but unfortunately very loud, you can't understand your own words. The food wasn't that great. The meat from the grill was quite dry and the red sauce that went with it was very tasteless. The grilled calamari was very tough and there was no sauce or white bread to charge €21.40 for it is outrageous. The waitress didn't notice that the plate hadn't been eaten. Unfortunately, the complaint went unanswered. I won't go there anymore. Sorry.

Im Sommer keine Klimaanlage - innen wärmer als außen, Reisebusabfertigung mit der Lautstärke eines Bahnhof. Infolgedessen auch mäßige Bedienung. Grundsätzlich gutes Essen und Ambiente - vielleicht aber eher im Winter hier essen.

Unfortunately there is no air conditioning in summer and it is warmer than outside - only recommended for moderate temperatures.

I've been there many times so far and always lovely staff and good food. Nothing has ever been raw or burnt and I've never had to wait long I would recommend it to everyone and it's right on the highway so if you're on the road give it a try.

Seit Jahren kommen wir zum Essen, aber ich muss sagen, dass die Preise schon wieder angezogen haben, aber die Qualität schlechter geworden ist. Lendchen mit Fertigsosse, Cevapcici = Industrieware. Schnäpschen gratis gibt es schon lange nicht mehr. Schade! Wir werden die Gaststätte wechseln!

We have lost a favorite restaurant. The operators have changed or are doing something better. The seat reservation was forgotten - the seat is now in the middle of the hall. We had to go to the counter several times to order drinks because the waitress had met at the salad bar to chat. When we answered the question about how the food was: 'Cold and bad' - it was cleared away without a word.

Wir, zwei blinde Frauen, haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Wir wurden äußerst zuvorkommend behandelt. Uns wurde sogar der Salat von der Salatbar zusammengestellt und an den Tisch gebracht. Vielen Dank, für den tollen Service! wir haben die Croatica Platte für zwei Personen bestellt. Diese können wir mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen – gut gewürzt, Fleisch auf dem Punkt und beide sehr satt geworden!

Very nice restaurant, directly attached to a hotel. The food was good, the prices were very fair. The Dubrovnik platter for 2 people costs a fair 39.50 euros.

Der Betrieb ist eher auf dem absteigenden Ast. Preise wurden spürbar erhöht und bewegen sich jetzt eher am oberen Spektrum. Am Ende kommen aber doch reichlich offensichtlich und in nicht unerheblichem Umfang Convenience-Produkte aus dem Sortiment von Metro/Handelshof zum Einsatz. Selbst bei Cevapcici muß wohl mittlerweile Industrieware herhalten. Die Proklamation auf der Homepage, man sei als eines der besten Restaurants Deutschlands ausgezeichnet worden, spricht für eine sehr fragwürdige Selbstwahrnehmung. Selbst in Bad Hersfeld fallen mir auf Anhieb doch einige andere Adressen ein, die ich auch im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis als deutlich besser einschätze.

Ambience is very nice, service was very nice, food did not meet my expectations. I had the plate of grill mix, the liver was dry and tough, the remaining meat was over-seasoned and you couldn't taste any difference, it was probably the same mass.

We left the restaurant hungry and without eating anything because our order was simply forgotten. Something like this simply shouldn't happen! The restaurant was fully booked that evening and you had to wait an average of 1 hour for your food. However, after all the guests who came after us had been served their food and we were still sitting at the table hungry, we were told that something had "gone wrong" in the kitchen. We didn't have to pay for our drink, but we didn't want to wait any longer either. Something like that is an absolute no go!!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Speisen und Portionen haben unserer Erwartungen übertroffen, Respekt an die Küche! Park Möglichkeiten reichlich auch in der Umgebung, Tankstelle so wie Anschluß zur Autobahn in 3 Minuten zu erreichen. Auf jeden Fall für einen Stopp oder Zwischenstopp zu empfehlen! Zur Weihnachtszeit liebevoll geschmückt. Nettes freundliches Personal...sauber und ordentlich. Das Essen allerdings hat mir persönlich nicht geschmeckt. Das Fleisch war dürr und Staub trocken ohne ein Klecks Soße. Aber die Getränke haben es runter gespült. Schade vom Geschmack her nicht zu empfehlen

Obwohl am 1 Weihnachtsfeiertag jeder Platz besetzt war, haben wir mit 30 Personen einen hervorragenden Service erlebt. Das Essen kam zügig für alle und war lecker. Das Personal war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich.
