Today I ate the best Iskender plate I've ever had.
To be honest, I don't understand the bad reviews. Everything has gotten more expensive, and the owners have to cover all their overhead costs.
The atmosphere is okay; it is a chip shop after all.
I also had to wait because a few customers got a kebab after me. But the wait was worth it.
The Iskender plate is super delicious; the bread is fried crispy, and the meat is served with a delicious tomato sauce. It's served with garlic yogurt, which you can then portion out yourself.
A great idea, especially since the bread stays crispy. I'll definitely be back.
Among other things, I ordered a kebab salad there to take away today. This salad was very poor/puny. No red cabbage, no white cabbage, no cucumbers, as actually described on the menu. I ordered with yoghurt dressing plus extra tzatziki, then it was only with tzatziki, so it didn't work once and not again! Unfortunately not worth the money!
I've already gotten a lot of Yufka from Deniz. Tip every time. The meat is well seasoned and very juicy. However, for some time now you have needed a bit of luck who prepares it. I always weigh myself at home, simply because it surprises me. Between 490 and 580 grams. Such differences are not fair because the price does not vary by almost 20%.
How can I say it? I have been there since day 1, it was always great, I wanted to eat something with my son, it was really bad what happened, we both had stomachaches, never again
I ate the best kebab here! The meat was perfectly seasoned, the bread was fresh and crispy, and the sauces rounded everything out. Despite the long queue, it's definitely worth it - the wait is rewarded with incredibly good taste. Absolutely recommended!
