We really enjoyed eating there, but... All of a sudden the portions are smaller and the prices have risen in the same proportion and then the killer argument: “Card payment is not possible” The food was initially better and also very tasty, maybe it's the chef, you know Not . Maybe it will happen again Zwenkau needs restaurants like this and is not ready for “fancy” restaurants

Ypsilon is my absolute favorite restaurant when it comes to Greek food! Everything is just right here: delicious, authentic dishes, large portions and a super-friendly team. The atmosphere is cozy and you always feel warmly welcome. No matter whether bifteki, souvlaki or baked sheep's cheese - every dish is a pleasure! I always enjoy coming here and can only recommend it to everyone.

I have the feeling that: - the food is quite good, the portion size is also ok - the staff is very unfriendly and rude - I don't feel welcome here as a guest - I didn't have a nice evening I'm not coming back.

Ordered here to pick up and was very friendly on the phone. I was greeted very nicely when I picked it up and everything just came very fresh from the kitchen. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, opening the door and so on... We'll definitely be back here next time or order something delicious here. The price is very fair, but quality comes at a cost. Taste great. Service top notch. Highly recommended!

Wir hatten eine jeweils eine Suppe bestellt (Trachanas- /Tomatensuppe), Gyros und Lammhaxe mit Bratkartoffeln. Dazu gab es eine Salatgarnitur. Die Tomatensuppe machte auf uns den Eindruck, dass sie frisch aus der Tüte zusammen gemixt wurde. Keinerlei Geschmack, wässrig und lieblos mit ein paar Krümeln Gratinkäse bestreut. Als Suppeneinlage fungierten wohl ein paar Reisnudeln, die die Suppe nicht wirklich besser machten. In der Speisekarte klang die Trachanassuppe interessant, war jedoch in der Umsetzung nicht gut gemacht. Wie die Tomatensuppe völlig gewürzlos, teilweise kalt, als ob sie kurz in der Mikrowelle war und mit massenhaft Gratinkäse bestreut, der mit jedem Löffel meterweise Fäden zog. Ich bilde mir ein, in der griechischen Küche würde Feta vorwiegend verwendet werden. Die Hauptgerichte waren ebenso katastrophal, wie die Vorspeisen: Das Gyros war trocken wie Papier und wahrscheinlich in der Fritteuse tot gegart. Die Salatgarnitur war lieblos auf den Teller geknallt worden. Die Lammhaxe mit Bratkartoffeln und grünen Böhnen: Bratkartoffeln waren fetttriefende Kartoffelscheiben, die in der Fritteuse zubereitet wurden. Keinerlei Röstaromen, keine mediterranen Gewürze, nicht mal Salz. Die Lammhaxe hatte eine zadderige Haut und war stellenweise kalt. Ich hatte nicht den Eindruck, dass sie im Ofen wenigstens überbacken worden wäre. Als wir zahlen wollten, fragte uns die Kellnerin, ob es geschmeckt hätte. Wir beantworteten die Frage wahrheitsgemäß mit "Nein!".

The buffet has plenty of choice, and everything tastes really good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, but when busy, it gets quite loud.

The food tasted very good. The map offers a large selection. However, we were disappointed with the service, friendliness and speed. It's just so important in the catering industry. So unfortunately only 2 stars.

More on the pricier side but it’s 100% worth it. The food is amazing and is made fresh. The drinks are also really good and you’re served with Greek vodka shots as soon as you’re seated. The staff are really helpful and friendly. I would recommend to reserve a table beforehand because it can get quite busy.

The atmosphere was really nice and the device was on a top level, very quick and kind, also a huge plus is that the personal speaks English🥰

We went here for dinner for the first time today with four people. The atmosphere is very nice, you are warmly welcomed and the tables are sufficient for the number of people. After studying the menu we decided on 3 starters and 4 main courses. The drinks and appetizers came very quickly and were OK. Small note: Of course every restaurant makes its own cuisine; That's how it should be but €16.90 for 2 octopus arms on a small bed of lettuce made from iceberg and radicchio with onions and vinegar and oil is not very imaginative. Still sufficient as a starter and still very good in taste. But it would be better to choose between field, leaf or rocket salad. Overall, the main courses (gyros, calamari, gratinated gyros with mushrooms or the mix dishes) were a bit too clear for the price/performance ratio; i.e. frugally. If you want to fill up with the main course, you should order 1 or 2 starters. Plus point: You always explicitly ask what side dish you want (fries, rice, fried potatoes, etc.). Unfortunately, we had the misfortune that several large tables were served that evening and they were processed quite quickly. So that on the plates e.g. the gyros were cold and a bit salty but the calamari was still warm. All in all, we felt more like we were at a quick lunch than a leisurely dinner and that's a shame.

For example, I'm reading the "meat of the week" on the lunch menu right now, with two kinds of vegetables ⁉️ Grilled vegetables and princess beans⁉️ Better/more appropriate would probably be either vegetables or the beans and instead of the 'second' vegetable side dish, something with potatoes would be better! And of course there is definitely no herb butter to choose from with the beef steak! If you offer steak, then you should also have herb butter! Or at least can do it if you wish! Not a big deal! Unfortunately it doesn't speak for you! And unfortunately the service staff are almost always not cut out for this position! No smile, inflexible, unprofessional etc!! 👎

It was delicious, I've been there twice and everything was perfect. Food, service, and ambience are nice. I also had no problem with the orders or the staff as stated in the reviews here.

Another successful evening. Food, service and ambience great. This time we were personally cooked for by the boss. Our guests who didn't know the restaurant yet (why?!? I have to ask) were completely thrilled, the quality, quantity and taste were excellent. We wish the whole Athens team a merry Christmas.
