Very friendly and super tasty :)

I had dinner at Mythos. The owners were nice, the service was good and the restaurant was cozy. I ordered grilled octopus with salad. The salad had a delicious dressing, and the octopus was outstanding. Octopus is easy to overcook, but this was perfect — tender and flavorful. Goes wonderfully with a glass of Riesling. Thank you!

We are from Berlin and discovered the “Mythos” by chance. A lovely restaurant with super friendly staff and the food is perfectly prepared. Price/performance is top. For us the best Greek restaurant!!! So good that we went there 2 days in a row If we are in Leipzig again then it is a MUST.

Ambience and service were fine. The wait for the food was manageable without any problems. The food itself wasn't bad, but it didn't blow your mind either. Fine-tuning was missing. An example: In my opinion, a creamier Metaxa sauce would be a start.

Mediterranean cuisine would be suitable. In my opinion, the map offers a colorful cross over between Greece and Italy. Very nice service, but the spark didn't fly when it came to the kitchen

We ordered dinner. Gyros in Metaxa sauce. The food came leaking without a bag and dripped all over my apartment. The food was just swimming in fat and was almost cold. In terms of taste, it is the very last thing. I would love to take it back to the restaurant and ask for the money back. Simply inedible. I can only advise everyone not to order there.

At first glance, the Mythos restaurant in Leipzig impresses with its inviting ambience and an authentic Greek atmosphere. I would particularly like to highlight the salad that I ordered as an appetizer. This was really excellent - fresh, crunchy and with a perfectly balanced dressing that harmoniously combined all the ingredients. Here you can tell that value is placed on quality. Unfortunately the main course couldn't keep up. I ordered gyros with Metaxa sauce, but I was very disappointed. The taste of the Metaxa sauce just wasn't right - the garlic was far too dominant, so much so that it overwhelmed all the other flavors. I also missed the typical, fine taste of the Metaxa, which was hardly noticeable in the sauce. The overall composition was unbalanced and didn't convince me. Conclusion: While the starter was a real highlight, the main course unfortunately left a lot to be desired. However, if you like fresh salads, you're in good hands here.

Disappointing experience at the restaurant Mythos Restaurant-Cafe-Bar I was really looking forward to a relaxing evening with good Greek food, but unfortunately my visit to the Mythos Restaurant-Café-Bar was anything but enjoyable. The atmosphere was normal and nothing special. The service left a lot to be desired… When the food finally came, the disappointment was great: the dish was bland and anything but authentic. The gyros in particular were dry and tasteless, and the side dishes seemed bland and unfresh. For the price I would have expected much more. Overall the visit was a bitter disappointment and I definitely won't be returning. There are many other Greek restaurants that offer significantly better quality and service. (Gyros in Metaxa sauce NOT recommended)

A recommendation for good Greek cuisine. The offer is extensive. There is coffee, yogurt with honey and almost all well-known dishes of Mediterranean cuisine. Drinks from ouzo to whiskey at realistic prices...

Best Spaghetti Bolognese far and wide! My child only eats spaghetti here at the Mythos restaurant. The quality of the food and the friendly service are simply unbeatable. We're always happy to come back!

Very nice service and excellent food. All of our wishes were fulfilled. The ambience in the restaurant is also very inviting and everything is beautifully designed and you can feel the love for the guests and the hospitality, but of course the small outdoor area in front of the restaurant is also completely convincing in summer. However, I had ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail (which costs more than a normal juice), but it only tasted like orange juice. I was a bit annoyed at that. Completely thrilled!!! I haven't had such a good Greek meal in a long time! All of the dishes were of excellent quality and the cooking times were also on point. The staff was friendly, courteous and always present. The store deserves to be fully booked every evening. We'll definitely be back!!!

A very welcoming, friendly and cozy restaurant. I really liked the atmosphere, the service was very accommodating and friendly. Attention was paid to allergens. The entire meal was very tasty, attractively prepared and normal portions. We all really enjoyed the salad with every meal, it was all very fresh. This restaurant was the crowning conclusion to our visit after the Tutankhamun exhibition in Leipzig. Thank you and keep it up 👍 👍

We are very enthusiastic about this restaurant. It's a bit hidden in a side street in Leipzig's city center, but it's pretty easy to find. We were served very friendly and the children (2 in number) were very sweetly involved in the order by the nice waiter, which unfortunately is not the case in every restaurant. The food was very tasty and also very filling so that we were completely full and satisfied. When we are in Leipzig again we will definitely head to the Mythos restaurant again. We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. We were there on a Saturday at lunchtime.

Went to the restaurant spontaneously today. It was great. Super nice service. The guest's allergens were addressed and discussed with him. The food was fresh and delicious. We had the gyros once, the grilled octopus and the Athena platter (for 2 people). We can recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back.

Excellent three course meal, and the Tazikki sauce was perfectly homemade. Excellent plate presentation. The owners really made us feel welcome. They even provided us with English language menus. Wonderful artistic Greek decor, which sparked conversations of exploration. It is an excellent venue for either a romantic dinner for two or for the entire family to enjoy. Was a relaxing change of pace after touring the zoo all day. We left full but refreshed and reinvigorated. A must stop for anyone who loves Greek food.

Essen schmeckt, Service ist sehr gut, man fühlt sich wohl.

Wir haben das Wochenende in Leipzig verbracht, um den Weihnachtsmarkt zu besuchen. Etwas abseits vom Trubel haben wir das Restaurant Mythos entdeckt und ohne Anmeldung einen Tisch für zwei Personen in einer gemütlichen Ecke bekommen. Der Service war sehr gut, alle waren bemüht uns den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich gut. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen.

I went here because it was the closest restaurants to the Westin on a cold rainy night. The atmosphere can only be described as airport restaurant. a bit sad a bit sad really. So I was very pleasantly surprised by a piping horse absolutely fresh delicious bean soup, followed by the most unbelievably beautifully cooked sea bream , Tsipoura. Perfectly charred on the bone easily filleted. Much better than the one I paid $60 for in some fancy New York restaurant in Chelsea last week. If the restaurant had a makeover but kept the same food this could be a real winner. Service was absolutely spot-on totally polite for the non German speakers. Beware you need to add the tip before they run the card!

Really good place to chill and enjoy some typical greek meat plates. The people are polite and make you feel like home!

Obwohl kaum was los war, musste man zum Abendessen recht lange warten bis man seine Bestellung abgeben konnte. Die Portionen waren ungewohnt klein, und auch nicht umwerfend vom Geschmack. Der Kellner war dafür sehr freundlich und immer mit einem Lächeln unterwegs.

Super Service, sehr gutes Essen - aber teuer.

Freundlicher Service der teilweise überfordert war. Die Karte ist gut und breit gestreut. Der Aussenbereich ist angenehm und mit einer schönen Brise. Was mir besonders gut gefällt, dass es Tagesempfehlungen gab. Leider nur auf dem Schild und nicht durch die Bedienung. Ich habe das Gyros mit Pommes, kleinen Salat bestellt, dazu großes Mineralwasser und ein Radler. Ein kleinen speziellen Wunsch hatte ich noch, eine kleine Schüssel Metaxa-Sauce. Das Gyros und die Pommes Frites waren sehr gut, das Zsatziki eher durchschnittlich. Die Metaxa-Sauce war leider sehr Paprika lastig und einfach nicht gut. Habe 3/4 davon wieder zurück gegeben. Sehr schade. Die Preise sind ok für Leipzig.

Wurden super freundlich empfangen von eine 1a Bedienung Das Essen war super gut Lammkotelett perfekt gebraten ebenso wie der Fleißspies auf meinem Mythos Teller Auf unseren extra Wunsch für unsere Tochter würde ohne zu zögern eingegangen Das Ambiente war wirklich zum wohlfühlen ruhig gediegen . Schade das wir nur auf einen Kurzurlaub in der Stadt waren Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen Absolut zu empfehlen

Super schmackhaftes Essen! Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend in diesem Lokal. Der Service sehr, sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Alle sind sehr bemüht. So ein tolles Lokal empfehlen wir gerne weiter.

Preis und Leistung passen hier nicht zusammen. Service war ganz gut, der Vorspeise Salat ebenfalls. Das Hauptgericht, überbackenes Gyros, schlecht. Die Zutaten schwammen in der Metaxasouce, das Fleisch war nicht einladend (teilweise nur Fett), die Pommes naja. Dafür musste am Ende 20 Euro bezahlt werden. Nicht wieder.

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Außenbereich des Restaurants. Der Service war flott und freundlich. Die Speisen waren zwar recht schmackhaft, könnten aber für den Preis besser sein. Ein Manko war die Sauberkeit der Tische und vor allem der Sitzauflagen. Die umherfliegenden Vögel waren wohl die Ursache. Die Toilette dagegen sind sehr sauber gehalten. Parkplätze sind in den umgebenen Straßen gegen Gebühr vorhanden.

Das Essen war gut, griechisch halt, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und angenehm.

Essen wurde schnell und super frisch zubereitet. Auf die Getränke mussten wir leider ziemlich lange warten, obwohl wir zur Mittagszeit die einzigen Gäste waren

Ich habe nur etwas getrunken 😅. Pünktlich, gut und die Servicekraft blieb freudig trotz nur 60 Cent Trinkgeld

Kellner war sehr nett! Ambiente (draußen) eher einfach gehalten. Ein Essen war gut. Mein "bitte schön braunes Gyros" wurde zu einem trocken, braunes Pfannengyros. Pommes & Salat waren gut. Menge problemlos schaffbar. Gyros für 18,90 € eines der günstigeren Gerichte. 2 Pers. Mit je einem Getränk: 52 € Leider kein Ouzo - weder zur Begrüßung noch zur Verabschiedung. Leider keine Rückfrage zwischendurch, ob alles OK ist. Resümee: Preis und Leistung passten für mich nicht! Werde andere Griechen testen.

Geschmacklich gutes Essen, kleine aber nette Auswahl an Speisen. Sehr nette freundliche Bedienung. Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung. Waren nach einem Zoo-Besuch hier noch zu Abendessen.

Das Essen war geschmacklich nicht überzeugend. Im Salat waren Tomatenstücke mit Schimmel. Die Salatgarnitur war welk und braun. Für die Preise sollte es deutlich besser sein.

Eines der weniger guten griechischen Restaurants. Leider waren die gegrillten Peperoni aus der Dose und in zu viel Wasser. Keine Butter Kräuter Knoblauch Sauce… Die Lammkoteletts waren gut. Leider kein Ouzo zur Begrüßung….

Wir waren an einem schönen Sommernachmittag gegen 17 Uhr dort essen. Das Restaurant war recht leer und somit wurden wir auch schnell bedient. Das Essen wurde auch zügig serviert. Es ergab sich in unserer Runde ein gemischtes Bild über die Qualität und Portionsgrösse. Tlw. war die Portion zu klein, mir hat es persönlich gar nicht geschmeckt (Oktupus gegrillt für 20 €). Da ist man schon enttäuscht. Unseren Freunden hat es ganz gut geschmeckt. Gesamtergebnis nicht empfehlenswert. Zum Schluss gab es leider auch keinen Ouzo, damit war die Enttäuschung insgesamt nicht mehr zu verbergen.

Sehr nettes Personal, sehr gutes Essen und preislich angemessen. Auch Sonderwünsche wurden ohne Zögern erfüllt. Insgesamt ist dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder Essen gehen.

Wir waren heute mit Familie im Mythos essen. Das Essen war sehr gut und es gibt auch Mythos Bier (das alleine macht nen halben Stern) !!!!!!!! Wir mussten leider, obwohl es nicht übermäßig voll war, sehr lange auf unser Essen und auch zwischendurch auf die Getränke, warten. Als Wermutstropfen am Ende, mussten wir die Rechnung (wir waren 11) alleine auseinander rechnen. Da kann man schon einmal vorher fragen.....

Die Bedienung schlurfte unlustig durch das Restaurant und ließ sich viel Zeit die Bestellung aufzunehmen. Sie unterhielt sich lieber mit anderen Gästen. Mein Mussaka schmeckte nicht, es war auch eine kleine Portion. Dafür war es teuer. Kurz nach dem Verzehr bekam ich davon Durchfall. Die Kellnerin ließ sich viel Zeit bis wir die Rechnung erhielten und auch beim Abräumen.

Wirklich leckeres und frisches Essen,nicht sinnlos mit Fleisch überladen, großzügige Salate und ein angemessenes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Wirklich weiter zu empfehlen. Die Bedienung ist wirklich sehr sympathisch, super serviceorientiert und gewartet haben wir gerade mal 20 Minuten, obwohl gerade eine große Gruppe parallel da war. Die Teller sind auch mit viel Liebe angerichtet, die Karte sehr lang. Es gibt so viele Gerichte. Fleisch, Fisch, Nudeln, Pizza...

Een Grieks restaurant dat volledig volgens verwachting is. Je krijgt dat wat je verwacht en niet meer of minder dan dat. Zowel de bediening als het eten zijn goed maar niet bijzonder. De prijzen liggen slechts minimaal (zo’n 5%) boven die in Nederland. Het restaurant excelleert in niets maar stelt ook niet teleur. Behalve Griekse gerechten worden er ook pizza’s en pasta’s geserveerd maar daar heb ik geen ervaring mee opgedaan.

Immer wieder gern gehen wir seit über 10 Jahren ins Mythos. Die Küche ist mediterran, es gibt italienische und griechische Gerichte, die sich wohltuend vom üblichen Einheitsbrei griechischer Restaurants in Deutschland abheben. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich. Wir empfehlen es gern und nutzen es auch für Familienfeiern.

Wir waren zum Geschäftsessen hier verabredet. Der Service war schnell, zuvorkommend und nett. Das Essen kam umgehend und sah lecker aus. Ich hatte ein Risotto mit Spargel und Schinken. Das hatte ich in einem griechischen Restaurant nicht erwartet, aber ich bin über die Spargelkarte nicht hinausgekommen. Und dafür war es gar nicht schlecht. Ausreichend Schinken drin, perfekter knackiger Spargel und etwas wenig Käse oder eben kein Parmesan. Was aber gar nicht geht, ist oben drauf ein dicker Klecks Sour Creme. Das hat da nichts zu suchen.

Wir wählten dieses Restaurant, da es eines von zwei geöffneten griechischen Restaurants zu diesem Zeitpunkt in Leipzig war (Sonntag, circa 16:00 Uhr). Die Räumlichkeiten waren sauber, jedoch nicht gemütlich. Griechisches oder mediterranes Ambiente war bis auf zwei Bilder an der Wand nicht wahrzunehmen. Der Empfang durch die Mitarbeiter war kühl. Einen Begrüßungs-Ouzo gab es nicht. Die Wartezeit sowohl bei den Getränken als auch bei den Speisen war angenehm kurz. Unser bestelltes Bruschetta (drei Stück) war in Teilen schwarz verbrannt. Die Bedienung äußerte darauf angesprochen: „Man isst das so, es ist normal, wenn es aus dem Backofen kommt“. Diese umfangreich ausgeprägten Röstaromen sind für uns jedoch nicht normal, weshalb wir ihren Argumenten nicht folgen konnten. Die hinzugerufene „Chefin“ äußerte trotz des stark verbrannten Bruschetta die gleichen Argumente, wie die Bedienung. Schließlich wurde EIN Stück mit der Hand genervt vom Teller genommen und später durch ein neues ersetzt. Dieses war zwar nicht verbrannt, aber statt auf hellem Bruschettaweißbrot wurde der Tomaten-Zwiebel-Feta-Mix nun auf dunklem Mehrkornbrötchen serviert. Bei dem Hauptgericht (Grillplatte mit Gyros, Lammkotelett, Spieß und Hacksteak) war das Fleisch durchweg lauwarm bis kalt, lediglich die Kartoffelspalten waren heiß. Obwohl das Tiramisu zum Dessert sehr reichlich und wirklich lecker war, würden wir nach dieser Erfahrung diese Lokalität auf keinen Fall nochmal aufsuchen.
